Name: Talizan
Height: 45 meters at the shoulder on all fours, 100 meters when on hind legs.
Length: 240 meters
Wingspan: Variable
Mass: 60 000 tons
History: Lost to the turbulent depths of space, the egg of an extinct terataur species became irradiated with high levels of solar radiation. With a need to adapt to the radiation and the freezing temperatures, the cells of the egg's embryo underwent drastic mutation, aided by the natural bioteratic energy in its core. Millions of years passed by, until the egg became trapped in the gravitational field of a much larger spacefaring terataur that would soon become known as Suzumebachi.
In pursuit of her natural prey - alien life forms that would be named the Vaxorg by the human race in years to come - Suzumebachi came to Earth on March 14th, 2010. Impacting in the Rub' al Khali, Saudi Arabia, Suzumebachi burrowed beneath the surface and began her global hunt of the nesting Vaxorg. Dislodged from Suzumebachi's gravity field upon impact, the egg miraculously survived the event. In was soon discovered by two university students, aspiring terataurologists who had come to investigate the surge of bioteratic energy associated with the impact. It was there they found the egg rested inside the crater. An obsidian colored oval crystal the size of a soccer ball, the egg was at first mistaken for a fragment of the "meteor".
Taking the object back to their nearby camp for further study, the students, Ember Wright and Avner Rapp, began to examine the foreign object. It showcased many strange attributes over the following weeks: It gave off bioteratic energy, small amounts of harmless radiation, and proved to be just as durable as the skin of terataurs. Perhaps its strangest feature was its capacity to soften under intense light or heat and become almost malleable, in which it would absorb the energy like a solar panel.
It came as a complete shock to the young terataurologists when the returned to camp one day to find the egg shattered into fragments, its pieces scattered around the tent. In its place was a tiny reptilian creature, covered in small spines and horns. Their handheld bioteratic energy detector revealed the truth: this was a baby terataur, and a brand new species at that.
Avner, afraid for his own safety, immediately tried to kill the tiny creature, but Ember intervened. She knew from a childhood spend alongside the adolescent Nandi that the terataurs were not the mindless, evil monsters the world believed them to be. Indeed, it was the flicker of fierce intelligence in the baby creature's glowing eyes that finally stayed Avner's hand; nonetheless he continued to keep a close eye on the terataur.
Ember named the creature Talizan, and together with Avner cared for the young terataur over several weeks, where it quickly grew in size. Tensions between the two escalated when scientists of the SEDD arrived to further investigate the impact site. While Avner worried himself sick about the consequences of hiding a terataur from the authorities, Ember did everything she could to keep Talizan safe. She remembered all too well the horrible fate of Nandi at the hands of the SEDD's scientists and engineers. After some time, Avner left for fear of being discovered, leaving Ember alone with the terataur.
When he was the size of a large dog, Talizan's bioteratic energy signature was picked up by the nearby SEDD. Ember acted fast, smuggling the terataur out of the tent and onto her jeep.
Then the miraculous happened.
Exposed to the rays of the sun for the first time in his life, Talizan began to emit a warm glow. The sand turned to glass at his feet, and intense heat poured off his scaly skin. To Ember's complete shock, brilliant wings of fire and light erupted from Talizan's back, growing to enormous size. The nearby tent was set ablaze as the terataur took off into the sky, destroying all evidence of his existence for the investigating SEDD.
A year later, Ember soon found Talizan in the sands of Egypt. Since then, she has taken up residence in Cairo, taking monthly trips to the jungles of the Dark Zone to check up on the young creature. Talizan has grown to enormous size and strength, but is intelligence and upbringing have gifted him with something few terataurs have: compassion for human life.

(Thanks to HayesAJones for drawing Talizan for me, and KingCaesar09 for colouring it.)
Many thanks to Scatha the Worm!
Credit goes to AK for this one!
(NOTE: When energy wings are absent, Talizan's color is a reddish brown.)
Personality:
Talizan has the intelligence and kindness of a guardian, and the ruthlessness of a primal beast in combat. He is a lighting fast combatant, using his spines, spikes, blades, claws, horn, tusks, and teeth to great effect, but is not above using specialized tactics for dire situations. Talizan studies opponents in battle, an expert in finding exploitable weaknesses and opening to counter attack. He is also well known for using the environment to his advantage. Yet despite his intelligential-oriented fighting style, he’s also strikingly ruthless. He attacks with brutal animalistic ferocity, willing to fight hard and bloody to achieve victory.
Towards allies and friends, Talizan is warm hearted and compassionate. However, he is also slightly prideful, though not overly so. Extreme cold causes him extreme discomfort, and he will go out of his way to avoid it.
Attacks:
Extendable Claw Blades: Talizan’s front claws can extend into three long sharp blades. These claw blades have incredible cutting abilities, by far the sharpest weapons Talizan possesses. They are able to slice through thickly armored opponents and elastic or rubbery hides alike without much trouble.
Tail: Talizan’s long tail is really several weapons built into one. A heavy, spiked club tips the tail, allowing the whip-like appendage to slam the weapon into opponents, using the weight of the mace and the momentum of the whip-like tail as a devastating combo. Like Kadru's meteor hammer the sheer momentum of this club whipping at mach speeds into an object can cause brutal concussive damage. An axe-like blade outlines the club, sharpened to a point to allow for both slashing and stabbing attacks. The long spines that line the tail can be used as stabbing weapons if the flexible limb grabs an opponent, or as a makeshift buzz saw or bladed whip with a flick of the tail. The tail is extremely quick, like a whip, and very accurate.
Spikes and Spines: The solar dragon is covered in sharp spikes, spines, and blades, allowing him to use almost his entire body in combat to do damage. These spikes also protecting him from grapples. These spikes are retractable in a sense, though in reality they simply fold against his body like scales of sorts. When in this state, the spikes and spines are translucent, blending in with Talizan's scales. When angered, or excited, Talizan's reddish brown body color bursts into an aggressive display of fiery reddish orange, and the spikes and spines flare outwards, glowing bright yellow with solar energy.
Elemental Power: The Sun
Talizan is a essentially a living miniature sun. He can project, and has total command over solar energy: fire, plasma, heat, and light. This gifts him with a wide array of energy attacks. He can unleash furious streams of flame from his wings, superheat the air around him, blind opponents with intense flashes of light, and fire devastating beams of plasma. By far his most common method of attack are his Solar Flares, burning balls of plasma, radiation, light and flame that explode from his jaws. They are extremely hot, but their true strength lies in their powerful explosive force, enough to bathe a city block in flames and blow chunks of flesh from opponents. By no means is he limited to simple beams or blasts, Talizan can control these forces as though it were a kinesis ability through a natural magnetic field his body naturally produces.
These attacks, being solar in nature have side effects in the form of radiation. While Talizan naturally gives off low levels of UV radiation, which is harmless to kaiju, his energy attacks can emit gamma radiation, a far more dangerous variant. Against unprotected monsters, his attacks may, over time, cause effects of acute radiation sickness: nausea, hair/fur loss, skin damage, and in worse case scenarios, organ damage. Like many poisons in the UCA, however, this takes time to have an effect. Talizan's natural magnetic field might cause small problems in unprotected machines as well.
Nova Beam:
Talizan’s most powerful attack. He can use his wings to fire a huge blast of pure solar energy. The force and heat of this devastating beam depends on how much solar energy he has absorbed over the course of a battle. It its most powerful in can melt entire craters into the ground, evaporate flesh and melt armor into molten slag. [Limited to 2 uses per match, though will be limited to 1 use per match if the Nova Beam is notably more powerful due to increased levels of solar energy.]
Powers:
Solar Absorption: It goes without saying that Talizan is immune to most beam attacks. Light, plasma, heat, fire, and radiation is simply absorbed by him. He can also absorb electrical heat, though the electrocution damage itself can still harm him as much as it would any other kaiju.
Strength: Talizan’s strength ties directly into how much solar energy he has absorbed. The more heat, light, or radiation he consumes, the stronger he gets. The UCA has provided an upper limit of being able to lift and throw 350 000 tons, the same amount as Nanook. Using his Nova Beam drains his energy back to normal levels, and energy draining attacks can of course affect this attribute as well.
Flight:
Talizan can grow wings of fire and plasma from spines on his back. At a slow flight or hover, these manifest as huge wings that can be used as weapons in their own right. At high speeds, Talizan propels himself like a rocket, and these wings become little more than fiery jets that vaporize anything in his wake. Talizan can fly up to Mach Mach 5.
Terataur Physiology:
Fuelled by bioteratic energy and solar power, Talizan's biology has differences from conventional organisms. He lacks a need to eat or drink, of require oxygen, as his bioteratic cells are powered by solar radiation. He has substantially less organs than other monsters, as his body is essentially a miniature sun. Behind those scales and flesh lies an internal nuclear furnace which power his energy attacks. This means no digestive system, excretory system, or respiratory system. Lastly, as with all terataurs, Talizan's blood is silver.
Weakness:
Extreme Cold and Umbrakinesis: Talizan is susceptible to cold and umbrakinetic attacks. He will go out of his way to avoid cold in particular.
Living Quarters:
Talizan lives within what appears to be a gigantic cave. Inside, one learns that the cave leads close to an underground pocket of magma. The dragon sleeps on a small island within the center of the magma, feeding off the intense heat surrounding him. Talizan's bedding is made up of large leaves from the forest, supported by a soft layer of ash.
