The blow came like thunder and sounded as much also. The burly walrus struggled as his nostrils exploded into a crimson mess and his nose ring broke in half, rolling to the side like a tire from a car. Harbinger pulled back his arm, ready to come down again… Suddenly the saurian screamed out in agonizing pain! His fist had been clamped by Rosie’s tusks and triangular teeth! The beast’s eyes went wide as his wrist and fingers were shredded by teeth designed to chew through thick ice. Yanking his head back, Rosie took with him layer upon layer of Harbinger’s flesh. The reptilian marauder stumbled back, hand twitching with every heartbeat and squirts of blood accompanying them. With his foe’s hand riveting in pain, Rosie charged forward. He lowered his body and lunged, driving his shoulder in Harbinger’s wounded ankle! The saurian was instantly floored, the pain in his hand suddenly replaced by the shooting pain of his possibly sprained ankle being targeted. A horrible snap accompanied the blow, but without an X-ray, nobody could actually know the extent of the damage. Rolling to the side, the walrus smeared his bloody nose across his forearm. He climbed to his feet, rolled his shoulders, and snorted. He looked around, using the environment itself as a weapon was a specialty the Klenthurian gladiator always prided himself with… And he suddenly got an idea. At this point in the battle, the pair were near the center of the cage… just a few hundred meters away from a large, looming tree. His blue eyes followed the trunk and then the extending branches, spotting a big one stretched out overhead. The walrus cracked his knuckles and walked to the tree, occasionally looking back to make sure Harbinger was still riling in pain from his ankle and hand. He reached out, digging his claws into the bark as if pick axes. Then, with his tremendous strength… he began to climb… He rushed himself, ignoring the pain shooting from his wounds as he rapidly climbed to the trunks and found the one he had spotted before. Just as he thought, it was large enough for him to stand on. It hovered over Harbinger a good 500-550 meters or so. The walrus had done many things in his life time… some good and others evil… but this was a new experience. He had never flown of his own accord… not like this! The walrus lifted his mohawked head and looked into the heavens, possibly praying to any watching God. He lifted both hands, pointing fingers upward… And then he leaped off! In mid-air, he repositioned himself to a laying stance and pointed an elbow down… And he came down, driving his elbow from over 500 meters into Harbinger’s chest cavity! The sheer height of the drop combined with Rosie’s total weight pinpointed on the elbow was devastating! The ground shook and shot up into a dust cloud. Harbinger’s jaws instantly spewed gore, projectile vomiting crimson blood nearly fifty meters straight up. The beast’s body arched as his ribcage nearly broke, but surely cracked if not more. Rosie rolled off of his foe, breathing deeply. If he were any other, he’d no longer be able to use his arm… But not him. Pushing the pain out of his mind to the point it no longer existed, the walrus stood up. He rolled his shoulders and snorted…

Harbinger rolled over, coughing up bloody phlegm in the process. His whole body ached from the impact, although his armor was designed to mitigate that somewhat. He needed a way to take down Rosie before things could get any worse. While the walrus seemed incapable of feeling pain, the damage to his body was still mounting, as Harbinger could seen from the numerous bloody swatches across the mammal's body. Harbinger eyed the distance to the fence-line as he formulated a plan. But first, he needed to put some distance between Rosie and himself.
As Rosie closed the gap, Harbinger turned tail and burrowed beneath the dirt, disappearing right as Rosie smashed a fist where he had been a moment ago. Rosie prepared to be assaulted from beneath, then noticed something odd. Harbinger was moving away, as the rumbling of the ground seemed to indicate. And he was heading right for the edge of the arena! The bastard was running away! Rosie stomped after Harbinger, as the saurian emerged from beneath the soil some distance away, still inside the arena's barbed wire walls. Rosie was closing the distance quickly, as Harbinger tried to pull himself up by using the wires. He was easy pickings as Rosie reared back and prepared to deliver a powerful punch to the back of Harbinger's head.
Which was exactly what the saurian was counting on.
In a swift, almost fluid motion, Harbinger dodged the incoming blow and ripped loose a section of barbed wire in the process. Rosie, having added all his force and momentum to the blow, staggered forward as Harbinger slipped back and snapped the barbed wire around the walrus' throat, strangling him as the barbs dug into the gaps left by Harbinger's previous attacks. Rosie gurgled as he choked on his own blood, as Harbinger applied more and more pressure, until...SNAP!
The barbed wire snapped under the intense pressure as Rosie dropped to the ground while Harbinger staggered backwards. He dropped the broken wires, the dropped his foot into Rosie's back, as he repeatedly stomped the walrus into the ground. Rosie, though, fought through the pain and managed to crack a fist against Harbinger's wounded leg, forcing the saurian to back, if only for a moment. Harbinger was already back on top of Rosie as he sank his fangs into the mammal's shoulder, crushing and shredding flesh, streams of blood flowing from the numerous wounds as he used his position to attempt to slam a digging spike into the back of Rosie's skull...

A disturbing cracking sound followed as bone blade met thick skull. Instantly, the back of Rosie’s head all the way to the base of his neck turned crimson. The walrus shouted in absolute rage as he slumped forward, catching his body against the dirt before he was face planted. Harbinger tore out his blade and bellowed triumphantly while preparing to bring the blade down again. For just a moment, time seemed to stand still. Out of desperation or from his own training, Rosie somehow countered! The walrus managed to roll over onto his side and bring up his left arm, catching the forearm of Harbinger! He squeezed tightly and pulled him forward, causing the saurian to slump down. At the same time, Rosie’s lower torso lifted up and muscular legs, one wrapping across his back and the other positioned under his throat! Harbinger was stuck in a hell’s gate strangle hold! The reptile quickly began to struggle, pounding at the ground with his free arm as oxygen and blood was denied to his brain. After nearly ten seconds, the beast’s movements began to weaken. After twenty, they all but stopped. Streams of Harbinger’s saliva began to roll onto Rosie’s burly form. The behemoths remained like this for nearly a minute before Rosie released his hold. Immediately, Harbinger gasped for air, taking his humongous breaths. It wasn’t so much the damage Rosie was counting on, but the time to regain his senses. He was virtually impervious to pain, but that last blow rattled his brains into scrambled eggs. He coughed, spitting a mixture of blood and saliva on the ground while climbing to his feet. He rolled his shoulders and bellowed, stomping forward. Harbinger was starting to move again… He reached down, grabbing the sides of the champ’s head. He helped him to his feet, meeting him face-to-face in the process. With lightning speed, Rosie’s tremendous arms wrapped around Harbinger’s mid-section! Before the saurian could react, he was lifted off his body and thrown over Rosie in a gigantic belly-to-belly suplex! The ground shook from the impact, smaller branches falling from the overhead trees even. A dust cloud spread about and Harbinger lay in the center of a crater, body twitching and groaning… With strands of saliva falling from his jaws, Rosie also took the time to recoup again. He fell to a knee and his fists, spitting blood and saliva again. This was a battle! Easily the best he had in the UCA thus far! Shaking his head, he stood up straight again. He rolled his shoulders and narrowed his eyes, watching as Harbinger rolled onto his back. The Klenthurian Gladiator charged forward, rushing the fallen dinosaur like a runaway freight train! He then leaped, extending his legs before coming down with a tremendous leg drop! Rosie’s trunk-like leg smashed into Harbinger’s already weakened and damaged chest, stressing the ribcage even further and causing a squirt of crimson gore to erupt from his muzzle… Crawling away from his opponent before standing, Rosie continued to focus his wrath. His fists clenched, he waited…

Harbinger wheezed as he rolled onto his stomach, forcing his damaged body to a kneeling position. Rosie's pain tolerance was serving him well. He still seemed fit, despite the mounting damage. Harbinger knew that neither of them could keep taking hits like they had been. The fight was coming down to the last few exchanges. Harbinger slowly got to his feet as Rosie advanced, readying another strike to the reptile's belly. But Harbinger, who was anticipating another strike, was ready for him. As Rosie's balled fist came down like the hammer of God, Harbinger twisted to the side and grabbed Rosie's arm, utilizing the mammal's own momentum to throw him off balance. Although unharmed by the fall, Harbinger had Rosie on the ground. Following a brief tussle in which Harbinger received another blow across the snout, Harbinger had Rosie by one arm and a leg, as he spun the walrus around before releasing him at a nearby tree.
Rosie sailed through the air before colliding with the trunk of the tree, the sheer solidity of the tree causing some nasty blunt trauma from the impact. As Rosie shakily tried to stand, Harbinger charged forward, twisting his body at the last second before colliding with Rosie, back first. The impact wasn't the problem, so much as what Harbinger did next, as he rapidly rubbed his bladed scutes up and down Rosie's chest, like a bear scratching its back. Only, Harbinger's scratching post, being made of flesh and blood, did not fare so well, as Rosie's flesh was ripped apart by Harbinger's scutes. Blood and ribbons of flesh stained Harbinger's back as he finally relented, leaving Rosie to drop to the ground from a combination of sheer damage and blood loss.
Harbinger quickly put the final phase of his plan in effect, as he climbed the tree for a few hundred feet, using his digging spades to aid in the endeavor. Finally, he simply leaped off the branch and fell, curling into a ball as he did so. Rosie could only try in vain to move as Harbinger slammed into him from above, the reptile's bladed scutes shredding flesh once more as the impact put more stress on Rosie's battered body. Harbinger unfurled, slightly dazed but otherwise unharmed, as he waited to see if Rosie would rise from the attack. If so, he would be waiting, digging spades at the ready...

As the dust cleared and the final leaves fell from above, Rosie did rise. Like the dead, the bloody giant snarled and rolled his shoulders. Keeping his promise, Harbinger was quick to act. He launched forward, thrusting his blades into Rosie’s chest! The mammal stumbled back, a geyser of crimson erupting from his tusked maw as he struggled not to fall. With the sound of ripping flesh, the saurian tore free its blades and readied to cut the challenger’s throat. Perhaps reaching the last of his internal strength and fortitude, Rosie ducked both arms and sidestepped. Harbinger turned… Rosie’s right arm wrapped underneath his chest and held the opposite shoulder… The walrus jumped up, gaining just enough leverage to sweep Harbinger’s legs out from underneath and repositioning him. The dinosaur came down, spine-first, across Rosie’s knee as they crashed back down! The champion screamed in agony as his body was bent, armor scutes cracking from the sudden impact. The limp champion rolled off of Rosie’s knee with a thud, landing on the ground… Chest heaving, the walrus knew this was it. This was the last chance he had to win what was rightly his. As Harbinger groaned, blood pooling around his beaten and battered body, the Klenthurian Gladiator stomped forward. He reached down, clawed hand wrapping around Harbinger’s throat. With ease, he pulled the beast up to his feet, arms and feet slumped. Rosie’s left hand clenched into a fist and came up… WHAME! WHAME! WHAME! WHAME! WHAME! Four consecutive, super-strength punches directly to Harbinger’s face. By now, the saurian’s skull was nearly unrecognizable, dented and bloodied virtually everywhere, eyes hidden by a non-stop flow of blood from various fractures. Several teeth gone and even more broken, jaw hung loose, and nostrils torn apart to appear as if one hole. The walrus took the moment to pause and look up, roaring into the heavens. If he was going to win, he’d do it with a trademark tactic! Lowering his left arm and wrapping it around Harbinger’s side to hold his back, the walrus lifted him up! Harbinger was then dropped back down, back-first in a colossal choke slam! Harbinger’s back erupting into pain as his armor layers broke apart like egg shell. The ground itself collapsed into a crater, spraying the walrus with dust and dirt. The behemoth stepped back, rolling his shoulders and shouting in fury. This was it… It had to be…

Rosie towered over the fallen Harbinger like the angel of Death himself. Blood stained his once snow-white fur a bright crimson. His chest and abdomen were ravaged and slashed, his nose ring shattered, and his mohawk was mussed up. But he was still standing. He had fought well, that Harbinger could not deny. But he would not emerge victorious. Harbinger had earned his place previously. He would do so again. But first, he had to stand up.
Rosie was agape. How the hell could the damned reptile still be moving after the hell he had just rained down upon him. No matter, a quick shot to the skull would end it all. But as Rosie reared back to strike, Harbinger, utilizing the last dregs of adrenaline induced strength, he rolled forward and intercepted the incoming fist in his own, meaty appendage. Rosie was strong, but Harbinger was stronger, as he used Rosie's own momentum and his good foot to flip the walrus overhead. Rosie bellowed as he went sailing through the air before crash landing behind Harbinger. The impact didn't even hurt him, but it did buy Harbinger a few precious moments to rise.
With his feet back on the ground, Harbinger pounced, dropping both fists into Rosie' skull as he did, the blow reverberating through the forest with a wet "CRACK!" Blood spurted from Rosie's nose and mouth as he blacked out for a moment, only to come to again when Harbinger cocked his fist back and repeatedly slammed it into his gut, forcing the walrus to cough up more blood as he did. Rosie's breathing was harsh, ragged. He probably had a few cracked ribs and definitely had lots of internal bleeding. But he was still alive.
Harbinger couldn't kill him. He was too good of an opponent. But he had to end the fight. So, he grabbed Rosie by the shoulder and hip and lifted the limp body of the walrus up. His bad leg was threatening to collapse on him, but he had to end it, as he dropped Rosie down onto his knee. Another sickening crack could be heard as Rosie dropped to the ground, shortly followed by Harbinger. He had no idea just how much damage he had done, only that Rosie wasn't moving. Then again, he could barely stand either.
One way or another, it was over...

As the two melee titans lay on the ground, exhaused, the voice of the UCA booms overhead.
"ATTENTION! CEASE COMBAT AT ONCE! THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH, AND OF THE BRAWLER CHAMPIONSHIP IS...
...
HARBINGER! Congratulations on retaining your title!"
----------
Had an INCREDIBLY hard time deciding a winner for this. If it hadn't been a title match, I would have called it a draw. But there had to be a winner. Harbinger's weaponry ended up being what tipped the decision that tiny bit in his favor. Goddamn that was a hell of a match. Congrats to you both.

(OOC: AMAZING match OR. Very fun, though I do admit, I am surprised of your victory, but congratulations. Be warned, I am still gunning for that championship!)
As the words of the UCA settled in, Rosie’s right eye twitched. The walrus tilted his head as if something had snapped within him. Any other kaiju would be paralyzed with pain at this point, but the Klenthurian Gladiator was something else. His hands, dropped at his sides, clenched into brick-like fists. His upper lip twitched, revealing his triangular teeth grinding together. The white juggernaut stepped forward, hunched forward and rage-filled eyes burrowing holes through the still-champion…
The beast turned around, smashing his fist into the trunk of a nearby tree. The 200-meter tree swayed as the bark from the impact fell apart like glass. He punched it again, making the crater bigger and causing a fracture to wrap around the trunk. A third strike broke it, sending the tree crashing to the ground…
His anger still not completely vented, the walrus spun around again. Even as a teleporter beam descended behind him, the behemoth began to walk toward Harbinger…
This wasn’t over, not as far as Rosie was concerned!

(Hey, I'm just as surprised as you are. You put up a hello of a fight.)
As Rosie vanished in a flash of light, Harbinger tried to weakly stand, as a second shaft of light fell from the heavens. However, rather than deposit him back in his tank for regeneration, the light brought forth the belt he had won not that long ago, in a brutal cage brawl. The belt drifted from the sky, guided by an unseen force, as it affixed itself around Harbinger's abused midsection. Victory was his once more, as he raised a clenched fist to those who were watching. As he entered the teleport beacon to return to his cell, he couldn't help but think of Rosie. The mammal had put up a hell of fight, and he would have not felt bad about losing to him. The two of them would face each other on the field of battle once more, of that Harbinger was sure.
But for now, he would rest, recover, and bask in the glory of his victory. There were still many strong foes out there. Harbinger aimed to face them all one day.
