The blow came hard and fast, striking quicker than lightning. Rosie stumbled as the flesh at the base of his neck was shredded in one swift blow from Ketos’ blade-like tail. The walrus groaned, blood draining from his many wounds. However, he wouldn’t be deterred. Nor would he be beaten. Not on this day. As he shook his head and rolled his shoulders, the walrus bellowed. He waved his opponent to rise.
And like the undead, rise Ketos did.
The greedy dragon spat his insults and curses. His burning, blood red eyes locked on the cold, icy blue eyes of the Klenthurian gladiator. His feet half-buried in bloody gold coins, Ketos began to speak once more. “You may be a worthy adversary, but you shall fall to the might of Ketos – King of the Sea!”
The walrus tilted his head and stepped forward. As did Ketos. Again they stepped closer. Soon they charged one another. They began throwing punches back and forth. Each blow sounding like warring thunderstorms. However, while Rosie trucked through Ketos’, the reptile was stumbling back bit by bit following each strike to the skull and snout. As his left fist pulled back, the great white’s right launched up with an uppercut.
Ketos’ head was snapped back, a fountain of blood spewing from its jaws. Taking his chance, Rosie rushed to the close the gap. He lifted his foot, driving the base of it into Ketos’ face! The dragon collapsed into a heap, snout a pulpy mess of torn flesh and broken teeth. As he remained on his back, groaning in agony, Rosie lifted his colossal feet. He began to stomp his victim, but moved his focus away from the face – to the chest and abdomen! Like a madman stomping a roach, Rosie began to pulverize the body of the serpent.
Ketos began to curse again, but his words were quickly muffled when Rosie’s foot landed directly over his lungs, forcing out all the air like a balloon. After four or five stomps, leaving the innards of the body bruised and bang – ribs possibly cracked -, Ketos managed to roll over. Not finished, Rosie was ready to repeat the process to his spine.

Ketos snarled furiously as he heard Rosie grunt in effort and felt the air shift above his bruised back. Pain already radiated from the dragon's wrecked ribcage. He would not let the walrus strike again! Twisting his head towards the sand and sucking in air, steam billowing from his nostrils and gill slits, the sea drake spat a column of heated water and hoped that his tactic would work. He had only used this in water before. Like a rocketing lifting up on a plume of smoke and fire, Ketos rose! Instead of crashing down like a loose wrecking ball, Rosie's foot was sliced by the sharp dorsal spines that lined his foe's back. Cutting into the mammal's tough flesh like saw teeth, the curved spines were slashed across the ball of the walrus's ankle and then up his leg as Ketos continued to lift up, the jet of seawater from his jaws still gushing. Rosie was split open from the sole of his foot all the way up to his groin, where the bloodied spines finally ground to a halt, fur and tissue jammed between them like dirty serrations in a tyrannosaur's mouth.
Rosie was shoved back as Ketos landed heavily on his feet, his tail slapping the sandy earth hard to catch his considerable girth. A curtain of blood that stretched the length of the walrus's leg fell as the Klenthurian gladiator regained his own footing, his clawed toes dug deep into the beach as he loosed an annoyed rush of air. His legs had already suffered much damage- this only worsened the situation.
With an animal roar of bloodthirst and frustration, the Demon of the Deep tried to chop into Rosie's neck again with a swing of his tail, but the battle hardened warrior caught the tail handily in an open palm and reeled the dragon in, hooking his other set of claws- the one that lacked one digit- into the gills of the sea monsters. Bringing Ketos close, the mighty walrus delivered a tremendous head butt to the squirming drake! Ketos cried out in pain, red starbursts flinging from his jaws. Sneering, Rosie thrust his crested headforward again and cracked skulls with the blue behemoth for the second time. More blood flew from his jaws and he bellowed loudly- but, this time, it was in anger rather than agony. As Rosie drew his head back for a third colossal strike, Ketos shrieked in bestial rage and threw out his own head butt! Though the skull of the white-furred warrior was thicker and stronger, ringing hollowly almost as if in humorous scorn, the dragon had one deadly advantage- his razor cranial crest! The hooked spines that ran across the center of the leviathan's scalp carved into Rosie's great head like a jagged line of knifes, completely parting the flesh and scrapping against bone like the devil's instruments.
A stream of blood that lead directly into the icy eyes of the walrus soon ran down from his forehead with gusto, blinding the warrior with his own vital fluids. Releasing Ketos and bringing both hands to his eyes, Rosie stumbled back, blood clotting in the one sensitive part of his anatomy. Face curled into a hideous sneer, Ketos raised his saber-like claws and curled them tight, focusing his psionic powers on the head of the massive mammal. Like crystallizing lava flows, the hot blood that leaked from Rosie's head dropped in temperature and froze solid. The frosty helmet of ever expanding ice soon wrapped his whole head and squeezed his skull tight. Rosie's hands stuck where they were, glued flat against his brow. Like a subzero vice, the ice crushed in on the skull of the walrus, splitting what skin and flesh remained intact and making the thick bone groan and creak like an endangered bridge structure. If it were any other monster, it was likely that the harmful helmet would have already imploded the head altogether.
Slowly spread his talons, Ketos lessened the pressure on the mammal's head, but only long enough to fragment the icy cap and then prepare to dig in each of the chilly shards like a tiny polar drill that would scalp the walrus completely and rid him of his iconic mohawk...

As the painful helemt ripped through Rosie’s forehead, shredding flesh and fur alike, the walrus’ hands lifted. His claws, designed especially to break ice, began to hack away at the ice as a crimson waterfall fell. With thunderous blows, the ice began to crack like glass. After three or four blows, it fractured away. Shards of ice rained to the bloody sand, clanging on the half-buried coins of the sea titan. Eyes flaring with rage, Rosie charged at the surprised Ketos.
“How. That’s imposs-“
Rosie’s clenched fist pummeled his face, sending the drake crashing down. Rosie growled and banged his chest. He then jumped up and came down, driving his thick, mighty knees into Ketos’ chest region. The serpent squealed in pain, a fountain of blood shooting up as oxygen was forcefully removed from the oxygen.
The Klenthurian Gladiator stood, patting his ruined Mohawk. This guy wanted to get personal, then so be it! Lifting a foot, he drove it down with all his strength and focus… into Ketos’ crotch! All other pain was ignored as he screamed in absolute agony. His most prized treasures… completely irreplaceable… crushed!
The dragon rolled over, hands clutching his groin…

As the agonized dragon rolled onto his stomach, his serrated tail came up like vengeance in the form a spiny serpent! The jagged paddle of the sandpapery appendage carved into Rosie starting at his crotch and sawing upwards into his gut like the fin of a demonic shark. With the horrible, wet wrenching sound of parted skin and flesh, the front of the walrus was slit vertically! Blood spilled out like a crimson waterfall as Rosie was opened up, split as if he were a teddy bear under the care of a sadistic child pulling at the seams. The gushing flow of blood soon stopped cold though. Like a photo had been taken, the waterfall of blood froze where it was- turned to ice by the enraged mind of Ketos!
Flopping onto his back, blood on his lips and hatred in his eyes, the aquatic drake lashed out like a heavy foot!
Like a jackhammer, the webbed limb of the sea monster slammed hard into the frozen fountain of blood several times. The crescent of ice that curled from Rosie's midriff like a great spout was made shorter each time. Cracking and splintering, the frosted spigot of crimson liquid was rammed deeper into the walrus's exposed stomach! Fresh blood and shredded tissue sprayed out from the sides of the enormous wound like rain, its blistering warmth melting the damaged block of ice and finally causing it to fall from the injured belly of the behemoth. As Rosie clasped a hand to his stomach and attempted to stop the raging river of blood and liquefied tissue, the bloody water that wrapped glistening around the fallen clump of red ice stretched taunt like strained tethers or rubber bands.
His claws clenched in concentration, Ketos used the tainted water to sling shot the large mass of ice upwards, cracking Rosie between the eyes!
Stunned, the great white warrior staggered back, red now staining his midsection and brow in horrendous volumes. Taking advantage of the beast's dazed state, Ketos lurched up with a grunt and grabbed onto the tusks of the massive bruiser. Using all his strength to force the Klenthurian killer to a kneel- ignoring the breath thieving body blows that the inhuman gladiator delivered to his ribs all the while, splitting skin and cracking bone- the drake gathered a compacted orb of water on an extended claw tip and leveled it with the neck of the squatting brawler. Like a cannon shot, the hard liquid orb unzipped and a thin stream of water shot out like a pressurized guillotine...!

The water cutter slit through Rosie’s thick layers of fur and flesh. From his tusked muzzle, a spray of crimson blood erupted. The walrus fell back, snarling in absolute hatred as every heart beat sent a gush of blood from the deep laceration on his neck. However, he wouldn’t be stopped. He wouldn’t be beaten. Rosie’s cruel, blue eyes blinked as he crawled to a stand. Ketos hissed, eyes narrowing as he readied to repeat the same strike again.
“Stupid animal.” The drake spoke harshly, the wire-thin strand of water wrapping around his forearm, “Still refusing to die!? Then I, the mighty KETOS, shall make you DIE!”
He opened the palm of his hand, shooting the thin stream of water as if a laser. Rosie’s right hand came up, palm open. The flesh of his palm split into blood as the immensely pressurized water slicer tore into the flesh. However, as Ketos amplified his power, Rosie began to march forward. The tusked brute snorted, shaking his head as he pushed through the stream that was carving out his hand.
“WHY WON’T YOU FALL!?”
As if answering the serpent as soon as he got within a few meter range, Rosie’s roar boomed like an angry God’s laugh. His left hand, clenched in a bloody fist, shot up. His blow, amplified by his build up of fighting energy, smashed into Ketos’ gut like a kaiju-sized eighteen wheeler. The water spray instantly stopped as the drake’s body folded like a napkin over Rosie’s fist. When his taloned feet hit the ground, the reptile’s mouth gasped for oxygen…
He got none.
Rosie’s bloody hand, the very hand the water had carved a cavernous hole into, shot up. His ivory claws grabbed the lower jaw and squeezed tightly. The dragon began to struggle, whipping his tail and raking his legs on the bloody sand, to no avail. As the hold held him in place, Rosie’s other hand lifted. Unlike before, his hand opened wide and pointed claws, designed for the purpose of shattering the thickest of ice in a single blow, launched forward!
Ketos’ eyes went wide in pain as the claws stabbed into his chest and raked downward, carving the emerald scales like a turkey. The hand holding the jaw released, allowing Ketos to stumble back, hands grasping the three bloody gashes that stretched from the center of the chest to mid-abdominal region.
Rosie rolled his shoulders, feeling his fury building like a canon. With a burst of surprising speed, he took three steps forward and lifted a colossal foot, driving the heel of it into Ketos’ wrecked chest! The dragon flew back before landing, chest heaving with every breath and squirts of blood with every beat of his heart.
Rosie’s upper lip twitched and his blue eyes narrowed. Before his opponent could recover, he approached again. Lifting a foot, he prepared to stomp his victim’s ankle to dust…

Rosie's foot came crashing down on Ketos's ankle like a white-furred meteor, causing the dragon to shriek in pain as flesh and bone was gnashed together. A dark trail of blood-stained sand was left behind as Ketos pushed himself away with his tail, briefly destabilizing Rosie, and rose onto his good leg. The hot red liquid running down his managed ankle froze with a whim of the dragon's brewing mind, forming a sort of numbing cast. The drake tested it, placing a bit of weight on the icy wrapping. It creaked and groaned, a few small splinters of ice falling away from it, and a bolt of pure pain ran up the serpent's leg like lightning, but it was nothing that he had not endured before.
"Is that your best?" taunted the Demon of the Deep. Taking the offensive with a bad leg was unwise, but of he could goad the walrus into attacking first...
"Well?" barked the dragon. "Is that all? Is this all the mighty Rosie can conjure? Ketos has received better beatings from whelps like the Sun Warrior!"
Rosie's nostrils flared, but the great white warrior did not take the bait. He merely stared at Ketos with hard eyes.
"Have you no pride? You let Ketos insult you! Does that not enrage you? Make you boil within? Are you even stupider than I imagined or merely aware of your own insignificance?"
Still getting no reaction from Rosie other than a snort and a wad of saliva cast at his feet, Ketos curled his face into a hideous snarled and hissed aloud at the mammal.
Fine! If the witless brute would not attack, the he would! Damn his limp! Damn the beast that had given it to him! Damn him to hell!
Rushing forward like an angry hunchback, the sea monster plowed into Rosie and wrapped his claws around the throat of the burly gladiator. The ice-sheering claws of the Arctic giant immediately rose to pry the sapphire talons off, but Ketos managed to pierced the jugular of the bruiser with his thumb. As Rosie tore away Ketos's arms, he slit his own throat!
Blood gushing from his neck like a fountain, Rosie clasped one great mitt around his throat and took a swung at Ketos with the other. The wild swing came towards the dragon on his bad side, so he was easily able to drop to his knee, dodging the blow and providing a bit of relief to his ruined ankle. With the opposite hand, the drake summoned a stream of water and began compressing it on the tip of his talon. Rosie's assault continued, his long arm batting at the dragon in a frenzy as he continuously ducked and dodged under the swings while still building the compact orb of water on the end of his saber-like claw.
Quickly growing weary of the demon drake's tricks and deciding to employ one of his own, Rosie switched arms suddenly, shifting his hands to grip his open throat with the arm that had failed to club down Ketos and throwing a haymaker at the drake with his bloodied paw. Unable and unwilling to torment his own bad ankle, the dragon elected to endure the blow rather than evade it, allowing himself to be clobbered by the bulky fist of the walrus. Tossed like he weighed eighty grams instead of 80,000 tons, the Tyrant of the Seas was sent hurtling from the mammalian bruiser's clenched claws like a rocket. But the blue beast's free set of claws lashed out like hooks, spearing into the bicep of the roaring walrus. Five deep furrows were carved into Rosie's arm, the sapphire sabers carving through flesh, fat, and muscle all the way to the wrist of the brawler, where the damning claws finally caught onto something solid.
Anchored deep in the mammal's flesh and drenched in his warm blood, Ketos stabilized himself before hauling his massive body forward and jabbing a single claw at the walrus's wounded throat. Pushing past the clasped fingers of the beast, Ketos deposited in the very gullet of his foe a small sphere of seawater. As he sensed the orb of briny blue slide down the brute's throat, Ketos unlatched his claws and staggered back with a mad laugh. Blood spewed from his chortling jaws like spider web.
"Say goodbye to life," slurred the drake through bloody gums and broken teeth. "Now is your time... TO PERISH!"
The cruel drake snapped his claws and 250,000 gallons of roaring water exploded out from a three-meter wide point. Rosie seemed to swell up, his back forced straight and his arms swinging wide before he belched blood and white wash. His stomach, lungs, and mouth filling with foamy seawater, Rosie doubled over- water audibly sloshing in his gut- and vomited out 400,000 liters of crimson foam so that his stomach would not burst from the pressure. Coughing up bile and choking on his own stomach lining, Rosie struggled not to drown standing up while Ketos looked on and laughed, cackling in mad glee as he watched his foe suffer. Stepping forward and spinning on a heel, the Demon of the Deep offered a bit of "friendly" help by swinging his tail to slap hard against the exposed back of the brute...

Like a slave master’s whip, the thin tail struck Rosie. The gladiator howled, in fury more than anything, but it was a shot that allowed him to refocus and spew a tremendous amount of water, vomit, and gore from his tusked muzzle. The brute spun on a heel, eyes burning with hate. Ketos was on him like a crazed tiger, razor-sharp talons and daggers of ice ready to rip his flesh asunder. Keeping hold of his slashed throat, Rosie ducked his head down and moved his body to the side, dodging the blow. If this was how Ketos wanted to play now, Rosie more than welcomed it. Screaming in rage as Rosie sidestepped his berserker swipes, the sea devil was suddenly forced back. Claws clanging against the bloody gold lining the beach, Ketos was hit by a sudden, and hard, closed fist. The blow was strong enough to make him spin around once, buying Rosie all the time he needed. By the time he finished the rotation to face the Arctic Gladiator, the behemoth was on him… A single knee came up, driving into the abdomen of Ketos. The sea drake buckled down, grasping his gut as what he recently ate was forced up. Rolling his shoulders and bellowing as if an angry God, Rosie reached down. Before Ketos could recover, the mammal’s powerful hands gripped his shoulders and dragged him in. The serpent’s head was squeezed between Rosie’s legs, directly underneath his groin. Repositioning his hands to Ketos’ sides, Rosie literally rolled the greedy reptile up his body, ending to the point he sat, facing backwards, on Rosie’s shoulders. With the gladiator’s hands firmly on his sides, Ketos’ eyes opened wide. His hands reached out to summon tentacles of sea, but it was too late. Utilizing his tremendous strength and honed fighting skill, Rosie power bombed the dragon, directly onto his own mound of precious treasures! Directly after hitting, the mound of coins and other items cratering underneath and half-burying Ketos, the tentacles of water dissipated and fell to the beach, just as they were within a hair’s reach to Rosie. The Great White brought his right arm to his shredded throat and gagged. He collapsed to a knee, shaking his head at the same time. The pain… The pain didn’t bother him. But blood loss? Now that was a bitch… His cold, blue eyes watched Ketos groan and twitch within the mound of gold. Each breath, blood came from the inner depths of the reptile while some wounds fountained crimson fluid… Rolling his eyes and snorting, the walrus fought through the blood loss and advanced onto the fallen opponent. Ketos continued to groan, as if totally unaware where he was… “Ketos powerful. Ketos make you pay. Ketos… Ketos… Ketos…” In an attempt to shut him up once and for all, Rosie’s burly leg lifted and came down again, this time targeting the drake’s bloody snout.

The great white gladiator splattered Ketos's snout with his heel, crushing the dragon's head into the sand and further cratering his ruined muzzle. The monstrous blow sent fountains of blood bubbling across navy skin and ground flesh against bone, but it also snapped Ketos back to sharp, pained, screaming awareness. The Demon of the Deep opened his mangled jaws and started to shriek like a mortally wounded demon. Rosie nodded with blunt satisfaction as the drake screeched, but soon found himself driven backwards by boring tendrils of blood that stretched out from Ketos's maw like fleshy whips- three in his right thigh, one in his abdomen, and two in his left shoulder. With his jaws still yawned wide, his eyes squeezed shut, and bloody lashes flailing from his gore-soaked maw like some eldritch horror being birthed from his skull, the sea serpent rose and advanced like the dead, pushing the liquid whips that carved into Rosie deeper with every step. With a simple flex of the dragon's mind, the fluid lashes began whirling, drilling into the walrus with hard edges made of clotted blood, ice, and bone fragments. Rosie was soon hoisted up, held suspended in the air like a Christ figure, his arms and legs stretched out as snaking tentacles of blood crept through his veins.
"I will not be bullied any longer," moaned Ketos through a mouthful of hot, coppery suffering. "I will not stand idle and allow you to do what you please. You are a brute. An animal! But I am Ketos. I am a god!" The drake's voice was suddenly blasted through every water droplet in the atmosphere, making it crash like thunder against the heavens. "AND GODS DO NOT LET ANIMALS RUN RAMPANT AGAINST THEM."
Throwing his claws out, the enraged drake ripped out every milliliter of his blood from Rosie's body! The white-furred warrior exploded into strips of shredded tissue and splattered blood, not a single inch of his body left undirtied as he was flayed open a thousand times over. His pale pelt stained pure scarlet by a combination of his and his foe's blood, the mammalian monster was cast down like a broken plaything, his crimson body allowed to flop down onto the blood-darkened sand beneath him. For most creatures, giant or not, this would have been the end. But not Rosie. Rosie swelled back up like a living surge of foaming water and began marching towards Ketos, staining sand black with every step.
Red eyes bulging with rage as he hollered and howled in disbelief, the Tyrant of the Seas lifted his arms high and summoned all his power. Cresting waves slashed through the water around the island. The entire mass of sandy earth began to tremble and shake as if seized by an earthquake. Geysers of white water speared through the earth and arced high in the air. Sand washed across the beaches in loose, babbling streams and was sucked up by the ocean. And then, meter by meter, increased with every tick of the clock, the isle began to sink.
Ketos, in his unholy rage, was bring the whole island down!
Rosie, unfazed by the eruptions of earth and water that sprouted up around him and the tidal swells of seawater that battered his feet, stomped straight up to the wrath-possessed reptile and thrust his snout into the dragon's frozen sneer. The burly beast, his patchy pelt painted red as the glaring eyes that he stared into, merely rolled his shoulder and spat of puff of air into the face of the maddened sea monster. A vein in the dragon's brow twitched, and then the entire island was ripped down into the ocean like a ship taken by the Kraken itself. Both Ketos and Rosie vanished into the churning white mass of sea and land becoming one, only one destined to emerge victorious as all solid land was replaced by disaster...

With the island sinking beneath the waves, there was only silence... then, the voice of the UCA rang out. "Attention, this match is clearly over. This was a draw! I repeat, this match was a draw!"
OOC: HOLY MOTHER OF THE PRIMORDIAL LEGENDS. This was one hell of an intense, gory match... and as MM can testify, I was on the edge of my seat, uncertain as to a few of the moves done by both parties. just the over the top punishment both monsters took and received through the entire thing makes this super hard to decide. Rosie had the advantage of NGAF about pain, and being the more physically strong of the two, while Ketos had the entire ocean as his play thing, and used it as best he could. Seriously, I congratulate both fighters here, and the writers behind them, on a very entertaining, and amazing match. Just... hot damn.

Instead of rising from the water shouting futile claims of stolen victory, Ketos gently bobbed up back first as the raging surf calmed. The dragon was unconscious, knocked out by his own angry outburst and the destruction of the island. That did not mean that there was no movement from the drake though. From all around his prone body, golden beads of light rose up like ghostly lanterns mourning the loss that was to come. The glowing orbs evaporated all damage that they touched, rendering the dragon completed healed, but this clean slate only lasted long enough to see new horrors seize the silent serpent. The flesh of the floating drake ruptured as his body was rearranged, familiar components being moved or replaced entirely as he underwent full body metamorphosis. Although he would surly argue the point if he were awake, it was fortunate that Ketos was not conscious for the process. The pain would have been more than hell. It would have broken his mind just as it did Quetzar's.
Before the final results of the transformation could be seen, a pillar of light parted the water and Ketos was whisked away.
