Talizan threw himself to the ground, dodging the Lizard's clubbed tail before it could collide with his face. Unleashing a savage snarl, the Guardian of the Sun lashed out like a viper, his head burrowing straight inside the Lizard's large chest wound! His fangs tore the Lizard's exposed flesh to ribbons, his tusks sawing through the meat surrounding his rib cage with each movement of his jaws. His horn penetrated deeper into the cavity, beginning to part two ribs from each other in an attempt to break right through! Talizan's teeth became white hot, and small bursts of flames leapt from his jaws as he prepared to fire a plasma ball.
In utter desperation, the Lizard preformed a kangaroo kick, his powerful legs striking Talizan's chest and knocking him backwards. Talizan's fireball rocketed harmlessly to the sky. Picking himself off the ground, Talizan prepared to counter attack, only to see the Lizard sprawled on his back, whining pitifully, the agony from his chest to painful to describe. The Lizard was down for now. The dragon turned his attention to Suchodon, who was preparing to charge Thoralax. His glowing eyes flashed with anger. The crocodile had gotten a lucky strike on Talizan with that rock, temporarily knocking him out. The dragon vowed to return the favour.
Fiery wings extending from his body, Talizan took to the air, drawing in the light from the sun above. Putting his elemental abilities to work, he fired a few plasma balls. Manipulating the plasma, fire and light, Talizan gathered him elements around his body. And in a fashion similar to Gamera, the dragon dived towards Suchodon, using the elemental energy to propel him like a rocket. Wings extended, Talizan snatched Suchodon up in his strong arms, manipulating the fire behind him to propel them back up towards the sky. It was here that he began his second attack.
His wings, membranes incased in super heated energy, wrapped around Suchodon in a coat of plasma and fire. The crocodile emitted a howl of distress, but Talizan would not let up. High enough now, the dragon flipped in the air, now diving towards the ground at his top speed, still propelled like a rocket. Suchodon withered and squirmed in Talizan's fiery grasp, realizing what the dragon was doing. The ground was approaching, fast. At the last second, Talizan spread his wings and discharged the elemental energy from behind his body, allowing himself to soar away as Suchodon cashed into the earth with extra momentum from Talizan's propulsion. But the worst was yet to come. The elemental energy used to propel Talizan was right behind the giant crocodile, it's fiery mass crashing into Suchodon's body.
The explosion caught the eyes of everyone on the battle field, causing the ground to quake and sand dunes to collapse. As the smoke and flames cleared, Suchodon's badly burnt form could be seen. The reptile was unconscious.
Talizan let out a roar of delight. Revenge had never felt so good. The dragon swept down to launch his final attack on the Lizard, who was beginning to recover. Extending his blade-claws, Talizan charged the wounded Lizard, ready to slash his enemies' already injured right arm...

Fortunately for the Lizard, his teammate wasn’t as unconscious as Talizan had thought. As the dragon charges, Suchodon slams into him from the side, having turned his body so that his armored back impacts with Talizan and protects him from the monster’s numerous spines. Both monsters begin getting to their feet, but Suchodon swings his heavy skull and smashes it into Talizan’s own. One of Talizan’s numerous small horns cuts the chimera’s snout, but the dragon still gets the worse end of it as his head is thrown to the ground from the powerful blow. His body collapses a moment later as he’s dazed from the double impact.
Suchodon is about to swing his head again, but stops when he hears a screech. Thoralax flies toward him, attempting to slice him with her wing blades. The crocodilian nimbly dodges, spinning around and swatting the plant monster with his tail as she passes. Knocked out of control by the blow, Thoralax crashes into the lake a few hundred meters away, skipping on the water once before splashing down in the still-scalding-hot saline. She surfaces shortly after, hissing and flailing as the water cooks the plants that compose her body. To make matters worse, the extremely high salt content of the water itself adds to the pain and damage, as it has a negative effect on the plant tissues.
With Thoralax taken care of for the moment, Suchodon turns his attention back to Talizan. He raises his head again, then swings it down like a sledgehammer aimed at the dragon’s skull.

Thoralax wades out of the water with some painful burning throughout the plants that make up her body. The salt water acts like acid to her vegetation; the same way it harms and kills plants, it is harming her. Looks like sp4c3 p1ant$ aren't immune to salt water!
While her ally tangles with Suchodon, she glares at a staring-angrily Lizard who looks ready to pounce but also woozy at the same time from the massive blood loss. He sends a pair of Prism Beams straight for the alien organism, and Thoralax raises her left arm to take the brunt of the attack. The beams leave scorch marks on the purple exoskeleton exterior, and a regular sensation of pain. With a flap of her glowing wings, she dispenses another flurry of particles to counterattack. As they surround and coat The Lizard’s body (particularly his chest cavity), The Lizard worries that it’s another coat of the combustible pollen. His worries are soothed when it just creates a mild itching. That is getting worse, bizarrely enough… The itching sensation gets worse, and as The Lizard scratches his scaly body, it the inflamed feeling boosts. It gets to the point where despite the massive pain and blood spray, he scratches inside his chest cavity. His deadly talons cut deeper into the meaty inside, and he bellows in agony as he cannot stop himself from self-mutilation.
While he’s left scratching, Thoralax charges up a helping of her Dragon’s Blast Beam. The florescent green/forest green energy stockpiles in her skull-like maw then BOOM- the pillar of power impacts inside the chest’s hollowed-out abrasion. A gruesome scene takes place as meat and muscle are detonated from all directions out of the injury, and The Lizard falls back against the ground. His left leg mildly twitches.
Now Thoralax uses a new weapon in the match; the seed-like protrusions against the rocky chest armor snap forward and embed in The Lizard’s stomach. He feels his life force leave him as ol’ Sporecore consumes her enemy’s energy through her Leech Seeds. The Lizard’s groans lighten in volume as his life is drained before his eyes, but before she can be penalized for killing the creature, she calls back her “cables.” The Lizard passes out from the combined forces of the massive blood loss and the leeching of his energy. She travels to stand next to the woozy reptile, then sends her clenched right fist smashing down towards his back…

However, the Lizard was only down, not out.
As Thorolax's fist came down upon his back, the Lizard's back suddenly erupted into a row of spines, stabbing into her plant flesh, causing the plant to cry out in pain. The Lizard then jumped to his feet, before he jumped forward and picked up Thorolax, before he threw her into Talizan, knocking both down. The Lizard fired his Prism Bolts and fireballs, striking away at the two.
The Lizard then fired his heat beam...

Talizan used his strength to heave Thoralax off of him, but certainly didn't expect the heat beam to slam into his back. Although startled, Talizan absorbed it, as he had with the prism bolts and plasma balls the Lizard had just bombarded the duo with... at least the ones that hit him anyway.
The weapon bombardment had left some of his scales black, but otherwise did very little in the way of damage. Talizan gave a mocking snarl in the Lizard's direction, before growing wings and taking to the air. The Lizard was one thing, but that damned crocodile was really beginning to piss Talizan off!
The Guardian of the Sun spiralled downwards, blindsiding Suchodon with his spines. The sharp points and blades carved deep wounds into Suchodon's left side, red blood spraying onto the sand. But before his second attack was finished, Talizan's tail whipped around and caught Suchodon's legs, not only tripping the creature, but once again dragging the crocodile along for the ride. Suchodon snarled angrily as once again he discovered that Talizan was pulling him into the salt lake, just as he had at the start of the match. Only this time, the lake was already preheated.
Suchodon shrieked as the scalding hot water came into contact with his skin, not to mention severely adding more agony from his numerous burns, wounds, and cuts. Talizan released his prey, soaring above the lake, his body beginning to grow golden. The added energy the Lizard had unintentionally given him was just what he needed to execute his most powerful attack: the Nova Beam. The dragon's energized wings grew even brighter, until it was as if Talizan was a second sun in the sky. Finally, a huge beam of brilliant light and incredibly intense heat exploded from Talizan's wing membranes. The nova beam incased Suchodon in it's great power, and caused the water in the lake to become so hot that it evaporated on the spot. A few second's later, Talizan's energy reserves ran out.
The lake was completely gone. Not a single drop of water had survived the beam. Suchodon lay in the centre of the pit in which the lake used to be, his body smoking and black, pus oozing out from his wounds, much of his scales melted or melded together. The crocodile could barely acknowledge the terrible pain he felt through voice. Lucky for Suchodon, he was still alive.
Talizan soared off, landing on the ground beside the Lizard, his wings folding back into his body. His tail whipped forward at blinding speeds, the bladed tip ready to stab the Lizard's already horrific chest wound...

And stab into the Lizard’s chest it does. Inside the depression that held the saline lake, Suchodon stirs. The reptilian chimera slowly gets to his feet. Every inch of his body is screaming in pain. But none of that matters to him right now. Not making a sound, Suchodon charges out of the lake bed, able to hit his top speed thanks to the wide open terrain and distance between himself and his opponents.
Meanwhile, Talizan keeps the Lizard pinned down with his tail. Thoralax advances slowly, back toward what used to be the lake, moving in to help her teammate finish off their opponent.
She doesn’t even know what hits her.
Suchodon leaps, his entire 40,000 tons slamming claws-first into Thoralax from behind at 700 mph. Needless to say, the plant monster goes down hard. Suchodon doesn’t miss a beat, though, and leaps off Thoralax as soon as she hits the ground, barely losing any speed in the process. As he does, twin sprays of green sap erupt from Thoralax’s back from fresh wounds left by his claws as he rips them out.
Hearing the commotion, Talizan looks up from the Lizard. The chimera is on the dragon before the latter can react, skidding to a stop and slashing open the base of Talizan’s neck with a swipe of his claws. Talizan roars in pain as a spray of blood comes from the wound, which fortunately misses Suchodon. Not giving his foe the chance to retaliate, he lunges and snaps his jaws shut on the dragon’s head. He does so at a slight angle, avoiding the numerous small horns along the top of Talizan’s head while still keeping the beast’s jaws shut. With a hiss, Suchodon snaps his entire body sideways.
Into a Death Roll.
His powerful tail propelling him, Suchodon rolls, Talizan’s spine being twisted to dangerous limits. For his part, the dragon attempts to fight back. Extending his claws, he tries to slash and stab Suchodon repeatedly. But the violent rotations result in mostly useless flailing. Talizan manages to inflict a few nicks and cuts, but Suchodon pays no attention to them.
At this point, Suchodon knows he won’t be winning this match. But he doesn’t care at this point. There’s only one thing on his mind. His opponents will win, but he’ll make their victory a painful and messy one. It’s a matter of pride.
After what seems like an eternity, Suchodon finally stops. Winded, he releases Talizan’s head, laying on the ground for a few moments to recover. He slowly gets to his feet, breathing heavily. He may be winded, but Talizan is far worse off. The dragon’s neck is twisted nearly 180 degrees. After glancing over to check on Thoralax, Suchodon walks around to Talizan’s side. He raises his clawed hand and swings, aiming to rip into his foe’s unprotected belly.

Just as Suchodon's claws were scratching into Talizan's belly, a blast of charged draconic energy splashes over his scaly left side, knocking him side-first against the ground and preventing him from impaling the flesh with said claws. The quick burst of Thoralax's beam fuses scales together and inflicts a 2nd-degree burn underneath the welded articles. Sucho reacts by headbutting Thoralax, causing a crunchy sound and a crack in her skull-like head. She tackles him harmlessly to the ground, then she clamps her left arm's claw into the injured side and the extendable...things inside sprout and inject the site with sticky corrosive juices. The acid enters the blood stream and travels throughout Sucho's body, causing him to writhe and squirm along the ground in pain. A blast of the Dragon's Blast Beam to the face not only scalds it, but ends the kaiju's struggle. Now she attempts an elbow drop on the down...beast...

The UCA announcer boomed over the wastelands. "ATTENTION! THE MATCH HAS BEEN DECIDED! THE WINNING TEAM IS THORALAX AND TALIZAN! CONGRATULATIONS, YOU WILL BE MOVING ONTO THE NEXT ROUND! BOTH TEAMS RETURN TO THE HUB FOR RECOVERY! THE OTHER MATCHES WILL BE DECIDED SOON!"
(Good match all around, but the dragon duo just delivered damage on a whole 'nother level. Talizan targeting the same wound multiple times was especially nasty. Sucho did really pick things up there at the end though.)

Talizan growled quietly as he tested his injured neck. In the heat of battle, the dragon had momentarily forgotten that it was simply an arena match. With wince, Talizan suddenly realized that he had completely forgotten about Alyson as well, about whether she was still safe.
The cells of Ghidorah ran through his very veins. Talizan knew this. It was what made him such a ruthless fighter, but it was a part of him that he did not enjoy. What if... if he stayed in this arena for a longer length of time... he changed? What if Ghidorah's malice replaced his own mind?
The Guardian shook his head. It wouldn't be possible for that to happen. He had no reason to fear. Talizan gave thanks to Thoralax with a nod and a small flick of the tail, and spared a glare in Suchodon's direction. They would meet again someday...
The Guardian of the Sun disappeared in a haze of light.
-----------
(Great match guys. I definitely enjoyed it. The Lizards adapting abilities kept me thinking on my feet, and Suchodon's comeback was rather... shocking, to say the least. Just when I had thought that I eliminated the threat of the death roll by vaporizing the lake.)

w00t w00t
Thoralax cries into the sky to celebrate her victory. As she bellows her Biollante-like wail, her body becomes particles of light and float away from the massive form, as the vegetative alien is teleported back to her quarters.

The Lizard watched on as they left. Turning back to Suchodon, the lizard nodded to him with a smile before he walked back into his teleportation light.
With his wounds healed, the lizard set out to watch the other tag-team matches.
OOC: Great fight, guys. I don't mind that I lost, but Gwangi's gonna be beating up a lotta monsters...

Suchodon slowly gets up, wincing in pain as he walks over to the teleporter beam. A moment later, he’s back in his quarters. He immediately walks over to his regeneration tank, letting out a pained hiss as he lays down inside it. With the adrenaline rush wearing off, everything is really starting to hurt now.
As the soothing green fluid flows over him, instantly easing his pain considerably, he closes his eyes and thinks about the battle. He lost. He expected as much from just a few minutes into the match. But he fought hard and made his opponents work for their win. He has nothing to be ashamed of.
