Sorry for the wait. Apparently I got hit with two things at once, which is why I was affected so badly and for such a long time. Technicly I'm still sick, but not as bad as before. Oh, and Happy Star Wars Day everybody! May the fourth be with you. ------------------------ As the terrible vines begin to crush the crystal, several sting beams and solar flares hit the arena’s force field and shatter, each tiny piece of the many projectiles ricocheting off and creating a deadly hailstorm of fire, plasma, and electricity. Both Theraxis and Talizan are forced to duck for cover. It seems that initiating a beam battle so close to the force field was not such a good idea. Just before the shower of energy ended, Talizan jumped to his feet, trying his best to recover before his insectiod opponent. The Guardian fired forth a solar flare towards the still crouching Theraxis. The fireball sunk right inside the Queen’s right shoulder-mouth cannon and exploded. Theraxis could do little as the top half portion of the mouth cannon was torn off her body, while on the other side of the blast radius, the fireball’s intense heat carved it’s way inside the damaged cannon, burning flesh like tissue paper and leaving pus oozing from burn wounds. Theraxis moaned. The damage was right above her arm too. Moving it would be a painful process from now on. The scarlet terror let out a mixed scream of fury and pain in Talizan’s direction. Sensing an opportunity, the dragon thrust his whip-like tail down her throat. (Oh dear) Twisting it so that the spines faced sideways, Talizan began to whip the tip of his tail club back and forth, even as the weapon lay lodged in the insect’s body. The bladed edges of the club sliced through meat and various Theraxi still hidden within their mother. Theraxis fought back the pain and retaliated, chomping down on the tail in her mouth. Gritting his teeth, Talizan extended his wings, trying to ignore the pain of Theraxis’s saliva. In a few short flaps, the dragon took them both to the air, and once high enough, the dragon flipped over. The combination of the length of his tail and the speed of his flip was enough to throw Theraxis off of him, and the planet killer was thrown through the air, heading right for Neo Spacegodzilla! The Queen’s underbelly was pierced as she landed on Spacegodzilla’s good shoulder crystal, earning a cry from the insect. And if that wasn’t enough, Theraxis’s very weight toppled Spacegodzilla, further damaging the injured shoulder crystal. It looked as though it would break in a hit or two now. Circling above the deadly duo, Talizan fired his vapor heat ray, letting the weapon spiral downward like a tornado, slowly but surely surrounding both his enemies in a wall of incredible heat. He was attempting to cook them alive!

Nice post, KK.
The two extraterrestrial kaiju and partners feel the heat of the flames (rather, their bodies do) surrounding them in a ring of madness. They must act fast, lest they be simmered. SpaceGodzilla suffers from momentary disorientation, and it shows, so it is up for the Swarm Queen to remove them both from the scorching spiral. Bolts of energy start to cackle in the air out of nowhere and rip up large chunks of the ground, appearing almost like it is being done electro-magnetically. Theraxis encases herself in the sizable stone/concrete chunks, then mobilizes. She ascends directly towards Talizan's open orifice... Then, it happens.
The sharp point created by the chunks of floor meating at the top is what impacts Talizan's mouth. The makeshift asteroid keeps ascending, stopping only when the the incredibly-reinforced ceiling provides resistance. Still, Theraxis keeps pushing up so that Talizan is crushed between the rock and a hard place- literally. The sharp tip is pushing into the roof of the dragon's mouth, creating a geyser of blood to spray and ooze down the rock body. Neo SpaceGodzilla regains the majority of his senses and escapes the blast radius, so Theraxis lets Talizan dropped. He holds his snout as soon as he [nimbly] lands in distress as lava-like ooze formulates inside the mouth. Theraxis swoops down as mightily as she came in the first place and comes down bottom edge-first into the center of Talizan's back, driving hard enough (and at an angle in order) to make physical contact and press against the submerged (in flesh) spine, sending some of the most painful stimuli traveling up and down his back and through his nerves. Theraxis keeps pushing with impressive might, getting Talizan to lay flat against the ground, succumbing to the superior weight of the solid "cocoon". Again, blood is drawn, from the increasingly bruising spot on the rear of the solar dragon.
While The Queen continuously (and painfully) crushes her opponent, the many numbers of Theraxi swarm up on Thoralax's body and nestle themselves deep inside the vines, along the space rock formations around the body, and start hacking away. Numerous vines are severed, chlorophyll staining the exoskeleton'd army, and the point comes where Thoralax's right arm just falls off, severed from the other vines just above the elbow/the bicep. Thoralax wails in acknowledgement, and forms a new arm. Her vines crush the Theraxi minions dead, and the vines move appropriately to push the crushed bugs out from her body. While they failed to devoid the Great Space Dragon of an arm, they did manage to remove the extra vines so that damage to Thoralax's right arm is at risk of staying until the end of the match when she can assimilate more growth into her body.
Theraxis cracks open her concrete shell and leaps out. While her rear faces Talizan (but her head looking back, watching), and stinger poised, Theraxis thrusts it down to pierce Talizan's left shoulder or chest with her fearsome looking tail edges...

Using his immense strength, the solar dragon manages to shift under the cocoon so that Theraxis’ stinger only strikes the floor. He then shifts again, freeing himself and making the shell topple over toward its creator, forcing Theraxis to leap out of the way. Talizan is about to lunge forward and press his advantage, but a crystal missile detonates against his side, throwing him to the floor with blood oozing from the fresh wound.
With that taken care of, Neo-Spacegodzilla turns his attention back to Thoralax. The plant monster is charging up her Negative Energy beam, hoping to further cripple the tyrant’s ability to absorb energy. Like before, the saurian makes no move to avoid the attack.
Could he really be THAT arrogant?
The beam fires a moment later, the swirling pillar of alien energy streaking directly toward him. At that same instant, NSG forms his crystalline shield. The beam washes harmlessly across its surface. NSG smirks.
Arrogance is justified when one has the power and intelligence to back it up.
Exerting his mental control over his barrier, the facets of the shield shift slightly, altering the way which the beam is deflected. Instead of breaking apart and scattering in different directions, the beam is instead refocused and reflected directly back at Thoralax. The space plant is struck square in the chest, making her howl in pain and immediately cease firing. The damage is done, though, as the surface of the rock composing her chest has visibly aged, its surface cracked and discolored. NSG fires a Corona beam, striking Thoralax in the chest, exactly where the reflected attack had struck a moment prior. The aged rock is more brittle than normal, and a large section of it shatters when struck. Howling in pain once again, Thoralax collapses to one knee, the large amount of damage so close to her core apparently weakening her momentarily.
Still sneering, NSG begins to slowly advance toward his opponent. He only takes a few steps before a pair of explosions rip across his back, making him stumble forward. Upon regaining his footing, he whips around to see the source. Talizan has Theraxis pinned, and took the opportunity to repay the crystal tyrant in kind for the crystal missile earlier.
Snarling in frustration, both at being interrupted and having to bail out his partner yet again, Neo-Spacegodzilla extends his arm. Talizan is telekinetically lifted into the air, and then with a motion of NSG’s arm he’s sent flying toward Thoralax.

Talizan falls back into Thoralax, toppling the two partners over. Thoralax is the first to rise- and retaliate. Thoralax spews her Negative Energy Beam all over Theraxis, withering her exoskeleton coating. The following solid punch to her side actually punches cracks into the armor and sends the bug this time toppling. Then, Thoralax tosses Theraxis onto a buzzsaw, watching in delight as the arthropod gets hacked up. Finally, Thoralax launches a dose of her "Space Thunder" at the bug...
eh, i'm still sick since yesterday, so excuse me for the short post @_@

Theraxis was down, but she wasn't out. Even as the Space Thunder came barreling towards her, the crimson insect was quick to roll out of the path of the beam. She responded in kind, and fired off a crimson power blast, which Thoralax managed to dodge. The blast instead struck Talizan in the face, knocking the surprised dragon off his feet.
The Guardian of the Sun was quick to return fire with a solar flare. The fiery blast impacted against the crack in Theraxis's armor, tearing off small sections of armor, burning flesh, and causing a small fountain of blood to spray out of the wound.
Now that the hellish Queen was stunned, Talizan was quick to extend his energy wings and dash towards his opponent. Snatching Theraxis in his powerful arms, the dragon sped them to the top of the arena... passenger first.
With a mighty crash and a sharp burst of electricity, Theraxis was smashed into the ceiling force field, but Talizan wasn't finished. The dragon spun in the air and dived towards the ground, Theraxis still held in front of him. It wasn't long before they met their target: Neo Space Godzilla.
Talizan let go of his enemy and swooped out of harms way at the last minute as both Theraxis and NSG were thrown to the ground in a mind numbing impact. When the dust settled, one could see the two monsters, both inside a rather large dent in the floor.
The Sun Guardian swooped down and landed beside Theraxis's seemingly unconscious body. He felt a little bit of himself lusting... lusting for a kill. It was the perfect opportunity. Talizan had enough power for the Nova beam now, thanks to Theraxis's earlier crimson blast. A point blank shot into the wound on her back, that could surely do the trick.
NO!
Talizan struggled to push down the rising demon within him. Perhaps Theraxis deserved to die, but he wouldn't do it, not as long as Alyson was still being held captive. It wasn't worth the risk.
Suddenly, Theraxis sprang to life, jaws snapping in Talizan's face! Startled, he list his foothold within his own mind, and the demon began to take hold. Even as his wings began to glow, his eyes dimmed into black pits. Theraxis leapt in furious vengeance, just as the dragon fired off his Nova Beam! Would the attack miss, it had the chance to hit NSG, who was sprawled on the ground directly behind the insect. What would happen next? The mad, black eyed Talizan didn't care who it hit. As long as there was burning flesh...

The nova beam strikes Neo SpaceGodzilla, for Theraxis encased herself in a solid cocoon and got the fuck out of there. Turrets lock onto the rock and fire, withering it away slowly. Standing against the ground, Talizan snarls in pleasure, pleasure that is taken away by the ganging up of Theraxi around his body. Viciously, they excavate through flesh (though, meeting a fiery doom afterwards...but Theraxis can make more). The cannon fodder beasts drop off Talizan, but still, they've done the damage. Now, Theraxis lands in front of Talizan and blasts him with golden energy. Talizan falls back, and against his back; Theraxis pounces upon him and starts mauling with her claws meant for digging. Lava-like blood sprays onto Theraxis' remaining exoskeleton, and in the exoskeleton, but she's in too much glee to notice. Once done, Theraxis backs off to tend to her teammate, letting Talizan be the target of three plasma turrets...

Talizan, however, nimbly dodges the blasts from the turrets. The crazed dragon is about to launch another attack at Theraxis, but is interrupted by a deafening roar. He turns to the source. Neo-Spacegodzilla is rising to his feet, a large section of his side scorched black and still smoking from the Nova Beam. His eyes blaze red and bolts of psionic energy crackle all over his body. His face is contorted with rage. Unfazed and lost in his own madness, Talizan fires a Solar Flare at NSG. To his surprise, halfway to its target the beam twists and rips apart before being drawn into the saurian’s pulsating shoulder crystals.
Neo-Spacegodzilla has had enough.
Talizan feels the by now familiar grip of the crystal tyrant’s telekinesis envelop him, but even through his ever-loosening grip on sanity he can’t help but notice something is different as it lifts him into the air. It feels... stronger? No, that’s not quite it. Thicker would be more appropriate. The sheer power of the mental force is stifling. Before his broken mind can attempt to contemplate the matter further, Talizan finds himself being bent backwards against his will. Slowly, agonizingly, his spine is bent beyond what it’s supposed to. His neck follows, being forced back to a similar extreme as well. He starts to cry out in pain, but his long, whip-like tail comes up and wraps tightly around his neck several times, choking off his cry. The club at the end of the tail is hooked between two of the spikes on his back, locking the noose in place. Talizan may not need to breathe, but strangulation isn’t the goal of all this. The goal is pain. And Talizan is feeling that in spades. The joints of his spinal column, from his neck all the way down to the base of his tail, are stretched to their absolute limit.
As Neo-Spacegodzilla tortures Talizan, Thoralax makes her presence known. Extending the vines of her right arm, she attempts to stab their tips into NSG’s side. With a mere sideways glance out of the corner of his eye, the crystal tyrant obliterates the vines with his telekinesis, shredding them down their entire length before the wave of mental power strikes Thoralax herself, nearly shattering the rock that composes her chest and sending her flying backwards and crashing down a few hundred meters away.
“ATTENTION! UNFAIR COMBAT BEHAVIOR DETECTED BY COMBATANT: NEO-SPACEGODZILLA!”
Several of the various turrets scattered around the Colosseum, which had previously been firing at random points around the battle area, suddenly take aim at NSG and unleash their fury upon him. The saurian roars in pain as the assorted projectiles and beams tear into his flesh from all directions, forcing him to lose his telekinetic grip on Talizan. The dragon plummets to the floor some 400 meters below, landing with a loud thud. The shock of the landing on top of the agony he was already experiencing is enough to actually make him pass out, though in the grand scheme of things that’s probably for the better since it might allow his normal self to regain control by the time he wakes up.
Hide smoking and bleeding from several new wounds, Neo-Spacegodzilla turns his attention to his partner, Theraxis. The alien insect chatters with glee at the damage done to their opponents. The crystal tyrant, however, isn’t so cheerful. Theraxis’ celebration is cut off as her partner’s telekinetic grip closes around her neck. She thrashes and squirms in confusion as she’s lifted off the ground by the throat, her screeches turned to gurgles.
Now, it’s not all that uncommon for monsters to be struck by their partners in team battles. Sometimes they are thrown or just accidentally stumble into friendly fire. Sometimes monsters, between the flowing adrenaline and tension of battle, accidentally lash out and strike their partner because of an unexpected movement or surprise encounter. Sometimes monsters just outright get confused. Point is, accidents happen. That’s why the UCA delays further intervention with their weapons. Maybe Neo-Spacegodzilla just got caught up in the moment and went after anything that moved? Maybe the attack against him had simply disoriented him?
The bright glow has returned to Neo-Spacegodzilla’s eyes after having been dulled by the UCA’s attack on him. He snarls in rage. The saurian had only initially put up with having a partner for the sake of getting a chance at facing Fenris. He’d gotten what he came for last round. The insect had shown itself to be a good enough fighter to at least not be a hindrance in the previous battles, so he played along and went on to this final round just to see what might happen. He has been sorely disappointed. All she’s shown is incompetence.
Neo-Spacegodzilla growls as his glowing, crimson eyes narrow and bolts of psionic energy begin to dance across his body again. The pressure of his telekinetic grip increases, cracking the exoskeleton around Theraxis’ throat. His “partner” has outlived her usefulness. Now to dispose of the trash. He opens his maw, spitting out a twisting yellow Corona beam which rakes across Theraxis’ underbelly. With a sneer, he hurls his ex-partner straight down, slamming her against the unforgiving floor with the resounding CRUNCH of fracturing exoskeleton.
Nope. The crystal tyrant’s actions were absolutely deliberate.
The arena weapons roar to life again, tearing into NSG’s frame for a second time. When the assault ends after several seconds, he drops to one knee, breathing heavily and bleeding from numerous new wounds.
“ATTENTION! DELIBERATE ATTACKS AGAINST ALLIED MONSTERS ARE STRICTLY FORBIDDEN! The team of Neo-Spacegodzilla and Theraxis has been DISQUALIFIED! Congratulations to Thoralax and Talizan on becoming the TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS! Now all monsters are to return to their quarters immediately!”
Four teleporter beams fall from the sky. Neo-Spacegodzilla weakly stands up, the only monster in the arena to do so despite the devastating attacks against him in the past few moments, a fact which he takes much pride in. Just further proof of his superiority. He casts an angry glare at Theraxis and spits a bloody wad of saliva in the alien insect’s direction before turning and entering the beam closest to him and vanishing in a flash of light.

Great match, guys. Sorry to cut this short and not have a "proper" victory, but honestly this'll work out better for all parties involved from a story standpoint.

Thoralax wails in victory and goes to her partner to congratulate. Thoralax is then taken by the light of teleportation, teleported to her room in the hug for much-needed fresh vegetation, possibly a brand new avatar all together.
Theraxis is teleported out for experimentation, temporarily retired.

Talizan was still quite unconscious when the TCC belt defended, and a teleportation beam transported both Talizan and the belt back to his living quarters. Perhaps, after three enormous battles, the dragon would be able to find some peace... for both his souls, before his next match.
