Quickly taking a stance of his own, Ruinous brought up his cannon and fired it, sending a rain of shrapnel which did quite a decent job of taking on the missiles. He then turned on his jets, exteneded his wings and took off right at Ferrum. The demon blew right passed his target, forcing the slower mecha to turn around. by the time he did Ruinous had already pulled a u-turn and crashed right into Ferrum claws first, slammer his foe to the ground.
Sitting on top of Ferrum, Ruinous pulled his claws out of the giant, slicing metal and bending the abused chest-plate of his fellow automaton. The demon then stood up, morphing his axe once more of reved the blades before sending it down, aiming at Ferrum's shoulder the demon's weapon cut deep, but not quite enough to get to the joint he so longingly wished to savage. With his rust already weakening such vital areas, Ruinous knew it would only take a few good hacks and he would have a handy trophy for his room. Of course he knew full well it was against the rules, but he figured he would sort that out after he had Ferrum's arm.
Shockingly, the mecha was not too happy about this idea and gave Ruinous quite a nasty punch, powerful enough to send the thin framed demon flying into a near by sand dune. Moments later Ferrum began to rise, as did his damaged foe who was sporting a slightly cracked optic, damaged mandibles and half of his face tentacles completely missing.
Not too happy with this, Ruinous dashed forwards and leapt at Ferrum who swung his heavy blade at the demon. Luckily for Ruinous he had flicked on his booster at just the right moment and lashed out with his tail, the nasty saw at the end missed Ferrum's own optic by inches, while ripping another gash into the metal mountain.
Clicking off his thrusters once more Ruinous fell behind Ferrum, landing quickly on his metal hooves before morphing his axe once more and swung it at the heavier machine's unprotected backside...

The chainblade sliced into Ferrum's backplate of armor, the chainblades wearing into the thick steel/ titanium chassis. Ferrum let out a low groan, his optic sensor widening an glowing with what can assume was some form of annoyance. The hulking brute of a machine soon rotated his turrets back towards his foe, the deadly tools firing off a salvo of missiles at Ruinous, engulfing the machine in a cloud of smoke and shrapnel, hunks of rust and metal being sent flying in all directions from the explosion.
Ferrum soon rotated his entire body around, his sole crimson eye locked firmly on the downed form of Ruinous. The rusty horror's claws flexed, as he attempted to rise to his feet. Ferrum chuckled, the massive machine towards the downed machine, his heavy footfalls making his tonnage sink slightly into the beach sand. As Ruinous rose to his feet, he was greeted with a brutal sucker punch to the face. With an eruption of shrapnel, Ruinous was once more sent sprawling across the floor from the brutal impact, the machine laying motionless for a few moments. Ferrum used this time to scan the damage done to him.
<<DAMAGE ANALYSIS>> <<TORSO INTEGRITY: 70%>> <<LEFT ARM INTEGRITY: 40%>> <<RIGHT ARM INTEGRITY: 60%>> <<LEFT LEG INTEGRITY: 80%>> <<RIGHT LEG INTEGRITY: 80%>> <<SHOCK ABSORBERS: FUNCTIONAL>> <<MAIN PROCESSOR: ERROR>> <<BACKUP PROCESSOR: FUNCTIONAL>> <<WEAPONS CONTROL PANEL: FUNCTIONAL>>
Ferrum soon leapt back into action, noting the movement of his foe. Not about to let his foe get a chance to rise, Ferrm's eyes and chest suddenly began to glow, and his turrets locked onto Ruinous. Suddenly, a flurry of pballistic missiels from one turret, plasma from the other, a red beam from his eye, and the deadly olympus breaker fired out at his opponent. Ferrum was going for an all-out assault! A massive explosion soon rocked Ruinous form, sendign the mech flying into the frigid waters of the archipelago. With a cloud of steam, Ruinous disappeared into the water. After a few moments of utter silence, the waves soon pushed Ruinous' rusty form back onto the beach. his whole form was fiery red from the sheer heat of the blast, and there were multiple patches of missing armor from the explosions of ferrum's missiles. A massive gap was visible on Ruinous' chest, burned from the raw power of Ferrum's Olympus Breaker. Groaning, Ferrum soon stomped towards Ruinous, whipping his flails about menacingly. He was going to finish this fight...

His creaking, abused form wasn't quite able to move fast enough for Ruinous to avoid this attack. The fail crashed into his body and sent him flying back into deeper water. The ocean began to turn red as the cast off from the demon saturated the water, no doubt making it a toxic hell for any animal living near the coast.
Slowly Ruinous got back to his feet, sparks shot from his chest as he reached up and tore away his crumpled chest plate, revealing his atomic core. Curling his arm across his chest he then hurled his former chest plate like a Frisbee, the jagged edges sliced right into Ferrum's left shoulder and forced the foe mecha back. This gave the metal monster time enough to recover some strength before dashing forwards and grabbing onto Ferrum's forearms, pinning them to the bulky machine's side as his mere touch stripped the energy from his target.
Then as Ruinous held the constantly weakening fighter, his core began to glow brighter. Though the atomic aura wouldn't do much to a machine, what Ruinous had in store for Ferrum would be utterly devastating. Cracking a shattered smile the demon's core started to shine brightly as it built up energy, humming an ominous tone as it got ready to release. Ferrum wasn't taking this sitting down of course, even weakened, optic flickering, the machine shot a salvo of missiles point blank into the demon, though he missed the atomic core, the rest of Ruinous was riddled with explosions and missing chunks.
Then it happened, a massive atomic pulse poured out from Ruinous, the raw force blew back the sand from the beach and caused large waves in the near by water. Any plant or animal life that had been near by was surly atomized in the explosion. Ferrum was held in the blast, right in front of the core itself. His armor began to fuse together as flecks of melted metal peppered the remaining sand and chunks of bedrock that was no their surroundings. Becoming a glowing hulk, Ferrum's body was scorched to the extreme as Ruinous was forced to drop the mecha.
Falling to his knees the demon's body pulsed weakly as his core faded to the point that it no longer glowed. Though this attack had cost him, Ruinous hoped that the damage his attack dealt out would justify his body, which was further strained by the massive energy lost on top of Ferrum's near constant assaults.

A low, rattling hiss, very uncharecteristic for the hulking war mech, rattled out from Ferrum's torso. The battered sheekh mech rose to his feet, plates welded together, others warped from the impact with the ground and the sheer heat of the explosion. The sheekh war machine's scanners were busted; they couldn't even REGISTER the damage that had been obtained, let alone assess how badly he needed repairs. But no matter, he needed to finish this fight first. As Ferrum prepared to attack, he was showered with rust shards, each imbedding into his now slightly softened shell.
Ferrum looked up to Ruinous, who was still down on the ground from the massive nuclear explosion he had generated from his core, struggling to rise from the amount of precious energy the attack had used up. Siezing this opportunity by the horns, Ferrum unleashed a salvo of cryogenic missiles, which soon exploded across Ruinous' downed body. A layer of cie quickly entrapped the hapless machine, making it completely immobile- and thus, helpless before the rage of the simple minded battle mech.
The massive machine soon stomped over Ruinous' immobile form, red eye flickering slightly as it locked firmly onto the hellish cyborg. Soon, the assault began. Punch after vicious punch rocked Ruinous' defenseless form, shattering ice, smashing plates, sendign rust flying, and peircing into the creature's interior (via the knife hand). Hunks of metal were ripped clean off of the mechanical being, multiple punches strcuk his face, nearly caving the machine's face clean in, and humongous chunks were soon absolutely demolished in the process of the assault. Ruinous struck out weakly wiht his claws, but Ferrum did not let up his assault.
Not yet, anyways.
Ferrum soon stabbed Ruinous in the "gut" region, before he lifted him up into the air, and flung him, ferrum's chain on his blade hand extending as Ruinous flew, still attached to the sword. As ruinous tried to rise, Ferrum spun around with the sword-flail, forcing Ruinous through another turbulent ride. The rusted abomination was soon flung headfirst into a wall, his impact signified by a shower of rust, sparks, and metal. Ferrum let out what could only be described as a roar, before he fired another salvo of missiles, this time regular ballistic ones, at Ruinous...

For the second time in the match, Ferrum Magnus' missiles are intercepted by the UCA's weaponry. A devastating railgun shot then impacts the Sheekh machine's lower back, ripping out a chunk of armor and throwing the mech to the ground.
"ATTENTION! UNFAIR COMBAT BEHAVIOR BY FERRUM MAGNUS! SECOND OFFENSE!"

Can't use weapons in combos, Dan.

Protected by the UCA weapon systems, Ruinous was able to recover enough of his energy to pull himself up to his hooves once more. Though his metal frame groaned under the effort, he took a few stumbling steps forwards, getting stronger by the second. Ferrum was also dealing with the rail shot to it's armor, the heavier weapon managed to pull itself up as well, just in time to see that the demon was closing in. Bringing up it's blade, Ferrum whipped it around and slashed what would have been the gut on a living creature, causing Ruinous to limp backwards. The demon strained his leg pistons before launching himself forwards, tackling the larger robot.
The hit itself barely even budged the mountain of metal, but Ruinous wasn't interested in outright damage. He dug his taloned claws into some of the many gashes on his foe's chest and just hung on. The touch of the demon began to once more sap Ferrum's strength. While Ruinous himself didn't gain this strength, it continued to widen the chance he would recover enough energy to bring one of his deadly weapons to bare. For now he just kept an iron grip as Ferrum's weakening strength proved to be having trouble pulling the demon away.
By this time Ferrum was almost dark red with rust, the constant contact with the demon had showered the alien mech to the point that it's original color scheme was almost impossible to tell. As Ferrum's optic began to flicker a bit, Ruinous pulled himself closer and in a deathless whisper the monster hissed "Your...battery...is mine!" far from the smooth upper-crust accent the demon sported most of the time, had Ferrum been organic there would have surely been a chill slipping down it's spine. This however was enough for Ferrum to summon up the power to push the blade between them, prying the demon away which in turn wrenched the claws from it's chassis. Dropping Ruinous back to the sand, the demon tried to get up and strike back as his foe struggled similarly to pool enough energy together to wipe out the rust stain.

As the two mechs struggle to rise, the voice of the UCA thunders across the battlefield.
"ATTENTION! Cease combat at once! Ruinous has been declared the winner of this match and will advance to the championship 4-way match! Congratulations! Now report back to your quarters immediately!"
----------
Close match. Ferrum dished out more direct damage, while Ruinous slowly and constantly wore down Ferrum. The two UCA attacks ultimately decided the winner, and had it not been for those Ferrum could very well have pulled off the victory.

((OOC: Good match, Raven. IR, I am somewhat disgusted by your second reffing, and I personally call your decision EXTREMELY poor, but what is done is done.))
Beaten and defeated once more, Ferrum was teleported out of the Archipelago to undergo repairs.

((OOC: You were a pretty tough fighter to, Dan. Til next time.))
Chuckling the demon found the strength to crack a smile with his mangled jaws, brushing off the rust from his shoulders and acting as if the entire fight meant nothing to him. His only regret was that Ferrum didn't have a complex AI that could feel the pain and shame that Ruinous could heap on with a victory mocking. But for now he was satisfied that he might fight more vulnerable foes down the line, giving a broken smirk as he vanished in a beam of light.

((OOC: Good match, Raven. IR, I am somewhat disgusted by your second reffing, and I personally call your decision EXTREMELY poor, but what is done is done.)) You can be disgusted by it and think it's poor all you want, the fact of the matter is you broke a rule which is very clearly stated. If you feel the need to discuss it further, take it to General Discussion.
