Name: Pouh-Wung (AKA Pouh, the Punk King, Lung the Gun, Punk Lung, Zero Hero, or Ol' Proto')
Height: 130 meters
Length: 407 meters
Mass: 65,000 tons
Description:
(HUGE thanks to MM!)
Living Quarters:
Pouh-Wung's chambers are a replica of the toppled remains of Mount Song, the peak he was locked away in for eons. Not only can Pouh destroy this landscape as many times as he wants, the UCA restoring it as soon as he leaves his quarters, but it is a reminder to him. It reminds him of his imprisonment, and how he refuses to ever be so restrained again. His chambers also feature a small forest, a lava pit, an icy peak, and a deep pool, each in a separate corner, with a rocky throne in the center of all these. He likes to laze about in this throne, sleeping sprawled across it. In an odd touch, Pouh has been provided with the pictures of all the female monsters in the UCA in the form of great electronic posters that float high above. The posters of Theraxis and Suzumebachi have been smashed though. Pouh does not like bugs.
Personality:
Pouh-Wung, although an ancient being, even older than Kedos and Fainis, can be aptly described by a very modern term- a punk. Pouh was meant to fill the role that the Five Children of Heaven and Earth would come to be responsible for, but his attitude problems caused him to be sealed away within the earth, a cast away prototype. His unbalanced personality is due to all the elements being housed within him, the opposing forces throwing off what was suppose to be a sense of honor and duty. He's practically the definition of 'chaotic good', although it could probably just be considered 'chaotic' now. Protecting Earth's well-being is in his very essence, yet it's hard to imagine it sometimes. He has a very fuck-you-I-do-what-I-want attitude. Pouh picks fights, levels landscapes in a whim, and general caused trouble, all for his own amusement. Battle runs through Pouh's veins. He's obsessed with brawling, and looks everywhere he can for a good tussle. In combat, he's blunt, brutal, and near merciless. While he doesn't outright kill foes, he would happily break bones and dislocate limbs for a good laugh. For a former guardian, Pouh is overly vicious and likes to humiliate foes terribly, stripping them of all pride if he can manage it. The protector-gone-bad loves to draw his long, thick, slimy tongue across the faces of foes just to disgust them. Another habit of his is to crack his knuckles loudly and conspicuously before battle or as he prepares to finish a fight. He also acts strangely around female monsters. As long as a she-beast isn't too hideous or insectoid- Pouh does not like bugs- he will try to impress her with his power and 'bad boy' image. He will even beat down she-monster to prove just how bad he is. Although birthed as a defender, Pouh can be considered closer to a rogue force without Earth in the equation, fighting for neither good or evil. He simply fights to fight. Traces of his guardian instincts do linger though, so he occassionally has attacks of morals or will try to protect natural landscapes.
Amongst the inhabitants of the Hub, Pouh has especially interesting relationships with two- Kedos and Fainis. Pouh loathes Kedos with all his heart and soul. The dragon is part of the group that replaced him on Earth, and to makes matters worse, he wasn't born into the group. He killed to gain the powers of the ocean, murdering the true guardian of water. Pouh takes out all his bitter resentment on being replaced on Kedos, making life more difficult for him at every turn. The UCA often has to intervene to keep the two from breaking out into fights in the heart of the Hub. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Pouh-Wung and Fainis have a friendship of sorts. Although they are enemies by nature, they have been removed from Earth, any previous alignments null. Both share a love of battle and violence, the two often comparing scars, even those inflicted on others. Much of Pouh's interest in the Hellhound Queen comes from the fact that she's female and doesn't hate him, a first for the Punk King. Fainis's interest in him is mainly because of his fall from grace. She feels he's one of the few beasts that started with heroism but wised up and adopted the one true way of living- heartless, wicked greed. The two often fight as a duo.
Attacks:
-Brawler: despite his slender form, Pouh is surprisingly strong, his spiked knuckles able to deliver nasty punches and a well placed kick strong enough to floor almost any beast; he particularly likes to deliver punches to the gut or throat, and kicks to the groin; Pouh can also constrict foes with his serpentine body, often pinning down their limbs, anchoring himself down with his own claws, and lapping at their faces with his slavering tongue
-Headgear: Pouh's unusually large head is boney and solid, a versatile weapon; his jagged fangs can turn flesh into mulch, his knobby jaws can deliver bone-jarring blows, and his thick skull can leave foes reeling with savage headbutts; in a move he's become famous for, the 'headband headbutt', Pouh will throw his entire body into the air, hold his arms and legs spread wide, and bring his tough cranium smashing into a foe's in a brutal slam
-Whip Tail: Pouh's tail is extremely long, sinuous, and muscular; it can be cracked like a whip, swung like a club, used as a noose, and any number of other things; Pouh is fond of giving foes mocking tickles and flicks with its bristled tip
Powers:
-Elemental Bursts: like the Five Children of Heaven and Earth, Pouh can control the elements; unlike the practiced ease and elegance of the Five, Pouh-Wung can only summon the elements is quick, unrefined bursts; each part of his body wields a different element- his maw can loose freezing blast of air, his right arms flashes of fire and superheated surges of air, his left arm sprays and streams of water, his legs can send boulders flying, raise jagged rocks, or tear great trees from the ground with mere stomps, and his whip-like tail can create fierce gusts of wind; although individually his elemental powers pale in comparison to the Five's, he can mix his to create unique and dynamic attacks; the slitted pupils of Pouh's black-purple eyes expand to fill the entire socket when he uses these abilities
-Elemental Resistance: like Spars cannot be harmed by flames and Ullraldi by frost, Pouh is highly resistant to both temperature extremes; also resilient against electricity to an extent
-Thick Hide: Pouh's scaly skin is incredibly tough and flexible, able to take brutal punishment before giving way; piercing attacks are especially dulled by the somewhat rubbery hide, as if Pouh was designed to force foes to take him on in the brawls he so loves.
Limited Attack:
-Mountain Seal: Pouh has based his ultimate technique off the way he was locked away by Earth after his corruption; his eyes solid black and his limbs blazing with the elemental power they possess, Pouh will send out a pulse of power into the earth; four jagged peaks will burst from the ground, each representing one of the sacred mountains of China; these four peaks- each about two-hundred to two-hundred-fifty meters tall- will rush together to smash a foe between them; then, with a stomp of his foot, Pouh will drain his elemental powers into the earth and summon a fifth mountain, this four-hundred-meter monolith representing Mount Song, to spear through the center of the four interlocked peaks, destroying them and hurling the trapped foe high into the air; extremely draining and only used when Pouh needs to feel certain of his victory (counts as two separate attacks, can only be used once)
Weaknesses:
-Although Pouh seems especially large even for a kaiju, this is only an illusion caused by his elongated build and large head; he's actually a relative lightweight for his height and can be thrown around if he's not careful
-Pouh is very cocky and likes to toy with foes, often underestimating other giant
-Pouh will try and impressive female monsters that aren't plain horrifying or insectoid, goofing off and letting his guard down
History:
Eons ago, before Kedos, before the Five Children of Heaven and Earth, before even Fainis, the Earth decided it needed a guardian, a protector of its forests and mountains and rivers. So it gathered the powers of the planet, the elements- heat, water, wind, earth, and ice- and created a beast to serve as a loyal defender to all life. The tall, slender being was sleek, powerful, and skilled, and it was given the name 'Pouh-Wung'. But there were unforeseen side effects of one body holding all the elements. Because they fought and repelled one another by their very nature, the elements caused chaos within the beast. Its soft, flowing mane became jagged and spiked. Its snow white hide was dirtied, its purity polluted by other colors. From its slick body grew spikes and spines and spurs and crests. Its long, slender snout grew knotted and gnarled, and its gentle lavender eyes darkened to a blackish-purple hue. And as the guardian's body was corrupted, so was its mind. While it was suppose to be a caring, compassionate being that fought only for the good of the weak and helpless, it became a battle-hungry bully, shoving around the very creatures it was meant to protect. Distraught by its imperfect creation, the Earth locked Pouh away, sealing him deep within a grand mountain and placing four other peaks around him to lock him away forever. The guardian-gone-bad was a flawed first try, a failure, but the planet couldn't bear to destroy one of its own creations.
Now knowing that the elements must be separated, the Earth created new guardians, this time assisted by the wisdom of the Heavens. Together, Earth and Heaven created their five children. There was Aeolshu, noble and true, the oldest of the Five. Then there was Kharbios, fierce and proud. Then came two, the bold Spars and the wise Araad. Finally, curious and bright young Ullraldi was created, the final and most promising of the Five. Together, these five guardians were the Children of Heaven and Earth, sworn to protect the planet and all its inhabitants. Unfortunately, not all went well. Kharbios was slain by a young, powerful sea dragon, Kedos, and his powers were stolen. Soon after, Ullraldi went mad in the lonesome tundras and turned against his remaining siblings. Horrified that so much could go wrong for a second time, the Earth struck the remaining four of its children with a deep sleep, an eons-long hibernation. So shaken was it, the Earth never created anything ever again, instead allowing life to flow naturally and produce its own guardians. With new tragedies to fret over, Earth and its subjects all but forgot Pouh-Wung. As the years pasted and new ages rose and fell, the name of the guardian-gone-bad was forgotten and so was he himself.
Until, that is, the UCA detected the life signal of an ancient, powerful being dormant within Mount Song in China. Teleporting the beast right from his mountain tomb and into the Hub, a brutal new combatant was gained for the interdimensional fighting ring. Although Pouh didn't know where he was, he knew why- to fight. And Pouh will happily fight, anywhere, against anyone, at anytime. Unlike many beasts here, the Punk King plans to enjoy his time at the UCA.
