DOPPELZILLA
The Changeling
Aliases: Bad Copy, Mad Clone, Trickster.
Height: 90 meters
Length: 180 meters
Mass: 44,000 tons
Diet: Carnivorous
Alignment: Lawful Evil
Description:
Enough is enough, and Zilla had enough. He was blamed to be an impostor, a copy of a creature he didn't even know, but was apparently considered a hero by everyone. First, they launched a bomb on him, transformed him into some kind of giant monster; then, they even blamed him and hated him for being what they had turned him into! It has to be said that he didn't do anything bad at all. He simply went on a strange, metal covered island to lay his eggs, following his instinct. They shot him with their blasting fiery weapons, they killed his young'ns, and then shot at him again. They prevented him from obtaining his revenge. He was mortally wounded, but his regenerative capabilities healed him and he dove back into the sea. After that, those alien freaks took control of him, and forced him to do what he prohibited himself to do: destroy mankind. He'd admit that, while scared at first, he came to enjoy the destruction of those filthy beings.
Then he came. He caused it all. He[/i] was his curse, and he was to blame.
Godzilla.
Even without the freaks' control, Zilla charged at the monster with hatred in his heart. The walking mountain that was The King of the Monsters shrugged off his similar attacks, and fired his blue radioactive ray at him. Zilla was nearly burned to death. However, he managed to burrow and get to the sea.
Then, he heard Hellgodzilla's call. Wanting revenge on both mankind and Godzilla, he responded, and though mortally wounded, he managed to make his way to Hellgodzilla. A step away from death, he vowed loyalty to the demonic saurian, for in some ways they were similar: both were considered bad copies of a hero and an icon. Hellgodzilla executed many unknown experiments on the giant iguana, combining dark magic and alien energies in Zilla's body. Since Zilla's scales and tissues were badly damaged, HG gave the monster a new skin and with that, new DNA and power.
Now Zilla has a bluish body and clearly bigger and movable scales, now more resistant than his previous ones. Additionally, his muzzle became dark, forming a sort of mask around his now yellow eyes, and he's got bigger fangs. Now, Zilla has taken the name "Doppelzilla" and is a formidable spy and loyal follower for Hellgodzilla, thanks to the new intelligence and cunning, and the [new] deceiving ability his master gifted him with. Now, he's ready to and he's going to prove to the world what damage a "bad copy" can do...
Personality:
Doppelzilla is a creature consumed by hatred and a need for vengeance, [strongly] feeling like everybody has rejected him when he didn't do anything bad or anything to deserve such treatment. He's sick of everyone hating him, not because of what he has done...but for what he is. Since meeting Hellgodzilla and receiving the necessary means to make everyone fear him instead of reject him, he's taken great pleasure in doing exactly that! He's fiercely loyal to the evil overlord Hellgodzilla, for he's the only one who didn't reject him. Dop can be described as a bullied kid who decided to pay back his oppressors (with violence). He has no remorse, for he received none. He likes to mock his enemies and is a great sadist, savoring every moment of his fights. However, his bottled up anger will sometimes make him snap. The only one he spares his hatred for is his son, because despite how disappointing his hero career may have been, he's still the only family he has left.
Attacks:
Hardened Claws/Fangs/Spikes- Doppelzilla's equipments make him fare well in tooth-and-claw/CQC/melee combat; he is equipped with razor sharp and diamond-hard claws, horrific needle-like fangs, as well as spikes all along his back to the saw-like tips towards the end of his tail.
Atomic Fire- Much like his son, Doppelzilla has developed the ability to breathe forth gusts of green flames, which radiate with unnatural heat. Said flames do burn like regular fire, but they feel a lot more painful than any flame, and have a sort of unusual/supernatural effect- they do not consume their target; they liquify it (the targeted/struck area). Any material, organic or inorganic, is painfully turned into a liquid pool, perfect for the monster to consume later. (so let's say it hits the shoulder of a kaiju. the surface of the shoulder, be it skin or metal, will turn into a milky, liquid substance for consumption. that's how it works)
Toxic Bite- There are 2 reasons why a bite from Doppelzilla is deadly, painful, and worth avoiding at all costs.
1.) His mouth is made up of MANY long, needle-like teeth that are well-suited for as well as adept at penetration. His strong jaws/jaw muscles and fangs alone make bites very painful.
2.) As if the shape of the teeth weren't enough... The second reason for avoiding Doppelzilla's painful bites is this- his saliva is a toxic mix of poison and acid. A corrosive venom, you could say. It's made to enlarge bite wounds and infect them to leave a constant throbbing, soreness, and sensitivity from infection (plus the burning type of pain from the caustic saliva on top of the specific pain(s) brought on by infection).
note: Venom has a temporary paralyzing effect on victims. It ends by the end of Doppel's turn;
Stalker- Dop's shapeshifting power allow him to change his body color, giving him the ability to become invisible. Naked eye, no matter how sharp, cannot make out his profile, and heat vision fails because he's cold-blooded. In this state, he can land particularly precise hits on his enemies, and he's more dangerous than ever, but he cannot shapeshift while camouflaged;
Spawn- Zilla can still reproduce asexually, but he cannot do that without acquiring a certain quantity of biomass first. Once he ingests enough biomass, he'll fuse the DNA with his own, and lay eggs with that genetic code. The hatchlings look just like their parent, but their genetic code will be half that of Doppelzilla and half another monster's code. The children can access the other monster's power, other than be able to take on its appearance. Doppelzilla's offspring is completely under his control and are roughly 10 meters tall. He must burrow then lay the eggs, which will hatch in the next post. Once born, they'll immediately tunnel up the ground and fight alongside their father;
Powers
Agile- Dop is a fast fighter, striking with deadly speed and precision. His theropod-like body allows fast movements and good running speed, as well as the ability to leap long distances. Doppelzilla's body is very flexible, and his reflexes allow him to dodge most attacks shifting his body in disturbing angles. Zilla can also climb on every surface, much like a gecko lizard.
Shapeshifting- Zilla's new look also gives him a new power: overlapping his scales and creating a domino-like effect all over his body, Zilla can transform. His new master gifted him with the ability to change into everything he wishes, making him the ultimate shapeshifter. He can imitate any creature he sees, up to the voice and behavior. Simple transformation does not allow him to take on the other creature's abilities, so his strength and resistance are the same in whatever form he takes. Instead of a complete form, in his fights he can grow extra limbs like wings, claws, etc.; extra maws, temporarily shrink or grow. But the UCA's power/ability restrictor puts a limit on the shapeshifting.
"Land Shark"- Zilla mantains his ability to both burrow and swim at remarkable speeds, rivaling kaiju like Baragon and Megalon in land, and Manda in water. Burrowing does not affect the sharpness of his claws, and he can remain underwater for several hours before having to resurface to breathe. That is unless he uses his shapeshifting to adapt more his body, becoming even more dangerous;
Doppelganger- As his name suggests, Doppelzilla is the kaiju Doppelganger, able to become them all. By collecting genetic material, his shapeshifting power is brought to extreme, absorbing enemy's powers and using them against him. In order to do so, however, Doppelzilla has to bite his foe and drink some blood, eat some chunks of its flesh, or even consume the liquefied remains of the foes he has burned with his flames. This absorbed mass gives him the complete genetic map of the opponent, so he can duplicate it. He then uses the enemy's own powers and weapons against him or her. This process also works alongside mechanical beings, as he'll biologically replicate their weapons (if his opponent is a mecha that can launch missiles, and Dop manages to swallow some parts of it (no matter wich one), he'll be able to produce bone-made missiles that have the exact same effect of his enemy's);
Note: once the match is over, he will loose all the powers stolen during the fight, his spawn losing them too.
So Many Lizards- Dop's offspring is, some time after birth, able to replicate itself if their parent wishes so, as such their number can increase drastically without him needing to lay more eggs. During fights, while most of the first wave will join the battle, others will remain underground to reach maturity then begin spawning others, each creature splitting in two new monsters. These clones are somehow weaker, but they compensate with numbers;
Note: not supposed to flood the field with them, just give him the support Legion or Theraxis would have.
Paternal Rage- While they're expendable, if too many of Dop's younglings are killed, he'll get horrible flashbacks of the first time they were exterminated, and he'll just snap. Usually calm and amused, he'll become even more wrathful than usual, wanting nothing more than maim the assaulter with all the bottled up rage he has. Extremely dangerous in this state;
