At the outskirts of the ensuing conflict, the trio of mechs watched on. Ben, while still pissed off about War escaping, realized that all hell had broken loose on the battlefield, the combatants once again fracturing into disparate factions.
"So much for working together," he sighed. "We might as well pack up and see if we can get out of here before the UCA brings their guns down on this place. Odds are, they won't let us leave though."
"Yeah, probably," Natalie agreed. "Still, no sense in us getting involved in that big furball out there."
"Right. Cerberus, do not engage unless attacked first. Let's see if we can either leave or just ignore this mess."
"Acknowledged."

As Abaddon moves in on the downed Rosie, Thresher readies his energy beam to fire on the mech and aid his friend. It ends up being unnecessary, though, as Armageddon suddenly flies through the air and crashes into Abaddon, the two then tumbling along the ground in a twisted mass of limbs. The shark looks over toward where Armageddon had come from, seeing Neo-Spacegodzilla. The crystal tyrant gives a quick roar and the two psychic beasts meet eyes for a moment.
Wordless conversations.
Thresher sneers and nods his head. Simultaneously, Thresher and NSG close their eyes and spread their arms out to the sides. Bolts of psionic energy dance over their bodies. For a couple seconds, nothing seems to happen. Then, a low rumble. The ground starts to tremble slightly. The rumble quickly grows louder, punctuated by occasional deep groans and cracks. The trembling increases in intensity as well, turning into a full-blown earthquake! This is no simple tremor, though. It’s something far worse. The ground beneath Armageddon and Abaddon distends upwards, splitting and cracking in the process. Sensing something wrong, both monsters struggle to free themselves from each other. They manage to do so, but it’s too late. With a roar like an angry god, a gigantic plume of lava some 300 meters in diameter erupts from the ground directly under their feet. Both Armageddon and Abaddon are instantly enveloped and carried into the air, their bodies assaulted by the intense heat.
But that’s not the worst of it.
The pillar of molten rock begins to spin with the two monsters trapped inside, adding the crushing and tearing forces of swirling, viscous fluid to the incredible heat! The lava tornado twists and writhes like a living creature as it rises nearly four thousand feet into the sky, glowing globs of liquid rock flying off in every direction and splashing against the rocky ground.
Meanwhile, Rustred continues to fight with Mara and Yuuka while Arc tangles with Darklore. The battles are interrupted, however, when Mara and Darklore are ripped off the ground and flung toward the cyclone of lava, disappearing into the twisting mass. Yuuka follows a moment later, her immense girth requiring the efforts of both NSG and Thresher to lift with most of their power being focused on maintaining the tornado.
Rustred whistles. “Well... shit. Color me impressed.”
For the better part of a minute, the five monsters are cooked, smashed, and twisted inside the molten vortex. They’re being tumbled and spun around so quickly that any attempts to escape are rendered futile, to say nothing of being unable to see through the lava in the first place. They’re trapped, with little chance of escape. Or at least that would be the case if there weren’t other monsters on the battlefield as well. Neo-Spacegodzilla’s back suddenly erupts in a series of explosions, the saurian roaring in pain as he’s thrown forward to the ground. Some distance behind him, Ferrum Magnus stands, missile launchers smoking.
With Neo-Spacegodzilla’s concentration broken, the lava tornado starts to buckle and waver like a top that’s lost its stability. Thresher can’t maintain the massive construct alone, despite his best efforts. After a few more seconds, it collapses entirely. Large amounts of lava from the outside surface of the tornado are sent flying all over the area by inertia, but the majority of it stays together in a torrent of liquid rock that plummets to the ground like a glowing waterfall. It quickly spreads out, threatening to wash over Thresher, NSG, and Rosie, but the shark quickly levitates off the ground, picking up his two allies as well. Neo-Spacegodzilla recovers after a couple more seconds, taking over his own flight.
With the lava spreading and thinning out, the five monsters that were trapped within the lava tornado soon become visible. Abaddon and Yuuka seem to have fared the worst. The mech’s armor glowing almost as brightly as the lava itself, with sections of it having apparently melted, while much of the plant monster’s body is either burnt black or on fire. Mara isn’t in much better shape, her fur almost completely burned away and her exposed skin sizzling. Darklore and Armageddon have come out the best from the ordeal, though that isn’t saying much. The death god’s bone armor is blackened, and pieces of charred skin flake off from the Apocalypse Incarnate’s body.
With those foes dealt with for the time being, Neo-Spacegodzilla spins around, looking for the one that cheap-shotted him. Spotting Ferrum Magnus, he spits his Corona beam at the machine.

As the earth-rending red beam came hurtling towards the humongous mech, aiming to carve a blazing red path across hie armor, and to probably knock the sturdy machine off of his feet, Ferrum's hands pulled back into his arms, before a massive pair of steel shields extended from his forearms. Bringing his forearms together, Ferrum created a supper-shield, one that protected the entire front of his body from the corona beam's power. Ferrum slid back a bit as the beam collided with his shield, but Ferrum managed to weather the blow, and slowly began to march closer to the space titan. With each step, Ferrum's resistance became stronger, yet the mech persevered, until Neo- Space Godzilla's Corona beam died out, seeing that it wasn't going to halt the approach of the mech.
Ferrum kept his shield up, and began to rapidly approach the space tyrant now, an ominous red light gathering from behind his shield. Space Godzilla, realizing what was happening, lifted Ferrum with his telekinesis, and prepared to fling hi away. However, Ferrum had other plans. Before the mech could be flung away like a rag-doll, Ferrum fired a volley of plasma missiles at Neo Space-Godzilla, blanketing the telekinetic force of nature in a cloak of plasma. The superheated substance, easily reaching in excess of 1000 degrees Celsius, descended upon NSG, but the monstrosity's own abilities had other things to say. As the plasma blanket descended, NSg's shoulder crystals absorbed the plasma energy serving to strengthen the space tyrant rather than harm him! With a laugh, NSG flung Ferrum away like a rag doll. Ferrum slowed his descent with his jump jet,but still impacted the floor with immense force- enough force to warp his armor and damage his legs slightly, in fact. Either way, Ferrum rose back up, and, after withdrawing his shields, fired his now fully charged Olympus breaker straight at the King of the Monsters' clone!
Neo Space-Godzilla, cocky from his previous victory over Ferrum's dumb AI, wouldn't back down so easily. The space monster's maw filled with red energy, and his Corona Beam danced out from his maw, and collided with the mighty laser beam from the Sheekh mech. Though powerful, the Corona beam was no match for the Olympus Breaker, and was overpowered in a matter of seconds, causing the laser to strike Space Godzilla right in the chest. The Laser exploded against him with a boom, eliciting a bellow of pain upon impact, sending the kaiju flying upon impact. But Ferrum was a crafty one, and swept his beam horizontally, catching Thresher in its blast radius as well, along with the wounded forms of Yuuka, Mara, Darklore, and Armageddon. Thresher was sent flying forwards from the devastating beam, sending him flying straight into Yuuka, who was then sent sliding backwards into a magma trench, engulfing both in superheated earth. Mara was sent hurtling backwards, and crashed headfirst into the earth. Darklore suffered a similar fate, and Armageddon was sent rolling backwards into a stone wall, causing a series of sharp stones to stab into his back.
The constant firing of the Olympus Breaker took its toll on the mech's however; Using up much of his energy reservoir, Ferrum soon went dormant, curling up into a ball with his shield out in front of him, as he recharged from such an extensive use of his limited attack... ____________________________________________________
But there were more brawlers than simply the mech and the Legion of Chaos. Fro behind Arc and Rustred, a bellowing scream was heard, which caught both warrior's attention. From behind, rapidly approached the blazing form of Ontslaan! Chuckling menacingly, Rustred turned around, followed by Arc, who made not a single sound. The fiery she-devil struck towards Arc first, recognizing the stoic bruiser from her battle in the "Hell in a Cell!" event, and seeking revenge for his pummeling of her. Arc, in his typical stoic manner, simply sidestepped Ontslaan's reckless punch and slashed her across the chest with his meat hook, causing his blade to get locked into her armor-plated hide. Ontslaan let out a bellow of rage, struggling to free herself from the hook, but Arc's weapon did not budge. Rustred chuckled, and gestured for Arc to bring the beast to him. Arc complied, lifting Ontslaan up and pushing her off the blade, causing her to stumble backwards....
And into Rustred's rust ripper.
Ontslaan let out an ear splitting cry of pain as the rust ripe pr tore at her armored hide, wearing through the plates slowly but steadily, and eventually drawing blood. Rage welling up in her, Ontslaan quickly spun around, slamming the mech across the face with a powerful forearm slam, smashing in part of his face plate and flooring the rusty monstrosity.
"Ah, tough little bitch, aren't ya?" Rustred chuckled, despite the furious brute's rapid approach. "Seems like you've forgotten about my partner in crime, hehehe."
But Ontslaan had not forgotten about Arc- no, she had plans for him as well. Grabbing Rustred by the legs, Ontslaan lifted the mech off the ground and quickly spun around, striking Arc right in the thigh in the process. Like a rusty bludgeon, the impact caused Arc to stumble off his feet and to the floor, with an enormous, bloody, rust-filled gash on his side. Snarling, Ontslaan spun around while holding Rustred, and soon let go, sending the rusty mech flying through the air, before he crashed headfirst into the earth, shattering much of his armor plating on his head, and causing his "face" to become surrounded by super-hot magma. Turning to Arc, Ontslaan stomped towards the lightning-wielding brute, who was slowly rising to his feet. Not about to let the brute rise, Ontslaan struck Arc in the back of his knee, causing the beast to once more fall to the floor, before Ontslaan stepped over his body, and began to pummel him.
Like a mindless brute, Ontslaan punched... and punched... and punched... and punched some more! Each brutal blow created dents in Arc's hide, and blows to the helmet created small cracks. Ontslaan's assault was so brutal, that her knuckles began to bleed profusely, mingling her hellish blood with Arc's own! Her eyes became filled with blood lust, and soon, Arc's helmet splintered, a crack running from the back of the helm to the end of its nose! Arc still made no noise, BTU seemed immobile for now. Grunting, somewhat disappointed by the lack of struggle, Ontslaan turned and sniffed the air, hunting for others to assault... ____________________________________________________
Armageddon soon rose from the rubble, eyes narrowed and angry, the brute shaking his head to dispel the pain that racked his cranium. The mech's assault was powerful, much to his surprise.... as was the double team between the robot shark and the crystal-shouldered lizard! Perhaps there was more sustenance here than he previously assumed... perhaps he was wise to land here to feed! Interrupting his train of thought was Ketos- a ball of solidified water struck the abomination in the thigh, nearly flooring the behemoth once more. Armageddon grumbled angrily, his eyes becoming aglow, as Ketos spoke once more.
"They said you are a mighty opponent... bah!" Ketos chortled. "None are equal to Ketos... not even a beast of your stature!"
Armageddon simply chuckled, his eyes locking with Ketos' red eyes. "I wouldn't start boasting yet, mortal..."
"And why should Ketos not?" The water dragon snarled between barred fangs.
"Let me SHOW you why..." Armageddon grumbled, before six bright orange-yellow lasers fired forth from Armageddon's eyes. Each beam struck Ketos straight in the chest, their combined power sending Ketos flying backwards across the battlefield, before he slammed into the ground, creating a rut of magma and obsidian across the arena. Armageddon rose completely onto his hind legs, letting out an evil laugh as he did so.
"Learn your place, wretch- it will spare you humiliation in the future," Armageddon snarled, as he saw a feathered shape circling overhead. What was it now? The shape soon darted in close, slashing Armageddon across the cheek and drawing green blood in the process. Armageddon snarled, and his vision soon focused on the form of Ziz.
"You won't escape here alive, abomination," Ziz said threateningly.
"We'll see if you can live up to your boasts," Armageddon retorted, his Oblivion's Wrath rippling forth from his maw. Ziz darted to the side, swiftly avoiding the beam, before she dove down towards the shadowy behemoth, winds slicing across Arma's hide like blades. Snarling angrily, Armageddon snatched the bird's talons as she swooped by, eliciting a startled cry form Ziz as she struggled to free herself. Winds swirled around the apocalyptic beast's face, lacerating his visage, but the brute did not falter. Armageddon swung Ziz overhead, before slamming her down onto the volcanic earth, creating a crater upon impact. Ziz struggled weakly, attempting to get up, but Armageddon had other plans. A massive foot stamped down on Ziz's spine, his claws sinking into her feathered hide, as his massive hands grappled one of her wings.
Crying out, Ziz struggled some more, and suddenly, an icy beam struck across Armageddon's spine, freezing his spine solid. Roaring, Armageddon flexed, shattering the ice and flaying some hide off. Armageddon turned around, still gripping the wing, as he saw Kori circling behind him, prepping another icy beam. Armageddon snarled, and soon flipped Ziz up and in front of Kori, making the draconic hero falter.
"Do... do it..." Ziz said.
"Yes.. do it, hero," Armageddon chuckled. "But, are you really willing to slay your friend to harm me...?"
Kori pondered and pondered, his eyes filled with doubt, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. Arma's mouth contorted into a jeering smile, as he spoke once more.
"You're a good friend to this bird," Armageddon chuckled. "Alas, your act of friendship was in vain..."
Ziz's and Kori's eyes grew wide, when suddenly, Armageddon channeled all his strength into his arms. Tendrils rippled forth from his hide, and gripped Ziz's shoulder blade. With a single tug, Ziz and on of her wings were separated from one another. Ziz let out a horrific cry of pain, and Kori was almost paralyzed with shock at what Armageddon had done. The beast's tendrils flung Ziz before Kori, as Armageddon tossed to limp wing aside.
Ziz was cold, and wasn't moving. Blood dripped profusely from the stump of her wing, and wasn't going to stop anytime soon. Kori snarled, and breathed some ice on the wound, hoping to slow the bleeding. Ziz managed to will up the strength to look Kori in the eyes, and the two spoke briefly.
"I'm sorry I failed to help you..." Kori whispered regretfully.
"Don't... don't be," Ziz replied weakly. "Just... just kill that monster...."
Ziz simply lay there, grievously wounded. Kori sighed and soon looked Armageddon in the eyes angrily, approaching him slowly.
"Would you like to join your friend, lying on the floor, helpless before me?" Armageddon grumbled.
"No," Kori replied. "I'm going to stop you."
And with that, the two warriors charged towards one another...

Yuuka hauled herself out of the magma trench, unceremoniously dumping Thresher in the trench behind her , her maw wide agape as the fires raced across her body. How... pathetic. Here she was, having gone off to fight the Horemen in a landscape that she shouldn't even have come out onto,Only to end up in this state, burning, broken, and shattered. It was a harsh fall from how she was before this fight began, which actually caught her funny for some reason. Chuckles escaped from her broken maw as she lifted it up. These fighters... she hadn't felt an attack that bad in a long time... and it felt oddly pleasant. When she had told Thresher that the plants that made her up were her children, it was a lie. No, those were her flowers in her garden. She wouldn't dare put such flowers in jeopardy. These plants were just apart of who she was, a part of her being. She was a broken being, one injured and appearing as though near death.
But anyone who thought she was near defeat was wrong, dead wrong. Yuuka's eyes scoured the fight that was occuring, until her eyes landed on the recovering form of Mara. The fox was in bad shape, her skull cracked from the landing, and her fur charred and burnt. Hanging onto a small stand of surviving for was Tenshi, who was miraculously unharmed... though the same couldn't be said for her clothing, which was now in ashes. "This isn't how royalty should be treated!" Tenshi shouted in embarrasement and anger. "Damn you maggot eating cowards! I'll kill you, all of you!"
"My my, what quaint threats from a naked pipsqueak?" Yuuka voice caused shivers to run down Tenshi's spine as she turned to see the giant looming overhead. Mara struggled up, trying to rise, but slumped back over, blood leaking from he rmouth. "Well, neither of you are in any real position to fight, so I suppose I will have you sent off for recovery. Oh, and be sure to remind the old hag that I still want my duel with her. Audios, ladies."
Neither Mara nor Tenshi had any time to react as Yuuka grabbed all 9 of Mara's tails, and with might that seemed impossible for the state she appeared to be in, hurled her up into the sky. Both their forms were caught in a white light, and when it faded, they had vanished, leaving behind the plant behemoth. She had enjoyed her brief alliance with the fox, but a fighting parter that was that injured already was a useless one, and this battlefield was simply not a place for he rto be. The Celestial she could care less about, though she would have loved to see her roasting on the molten lavalands. But now... she had business to deal with. THat magma twister was a nasty attack, but she wasn't angry about that. No, that was to be expected in a fight... It was Darklore that had gained her ire. Piercing into he rmind to dredge up that little tidbit was off limits, and he would suffer for playing that card twice, especailly with that oddly fascinating little girl.
Her eyes landed upon her target. There was Darklore rising up from the ground. Perfect... Stabbing her fingures into the hot soil, she unleased her vines, which raced through the ground, before spiraling out at the evil being. Darklore was taken by surprise, the vines piercing into his being, spilling eldrict blood as they harpooned into him. She then yanked back, causing him to topple over and with one last yank, brought him right over to her. The Ruler of the Alternate Hell starred up at the giant plant, who hissed with venemous delight. "We have some unfinished business to do." She snarled as she brought her hand back in the form of a dual-pronged blade as she swung it down. Darklore swung his mace up to block it, and the two weapons collided... but even so, Yuuka smirked. THe tips of the blades simply elongated until they pierced into his body. A sudden jerk of the blade, Yuuka swinging her arm to the side, a gash to open up in the side of his body. However, Darklore paid little mind to that. He was using this opportunity to have his souls search into the mind of Yuuka, to see what else could be used against her... They grasped at all that was laid before them. Her garden, her servant, her memories... It was all there for them to use...
However, they dug too deep.
The souls began to scream in pain as they cut off their connection. This more than anything caught Darklore by surprise. What had they seen? What was going on? They never did this? He searched through the minds of the souls he had, to see what they had seen... and immediately s sharp pain jabbed into his mind. It was alien to the Ruler of Hell. It went against logic, against reality. It was something his mind couldn't comprehend, something few, if any, could comprehend. He quickly erased it from both himself and his souls, all the while Yuuka chuckled. "Oh my, are we peering into the minds of an old lady? That was a very poor move. There are things in reality that no one, not even such immortals as you, should gaze upon, things that defy our very understanding of reality, and now, you have seen one of those things. Consider yourself lucky you got off so easy on that." She said as her hand twisted once more, this time into a massive saw shape that she swung down at Darklore...
Meanwhile, Asmodeus watched Armageddon fight Ziz and Kori. Sigh sighed. This wasn't her fight to be in. She had come to aid him and to take on the Horsemen, so now that Armageddon was doing better, and that the Horsemen had fled... She vanished in a white light. She was tired now, and she needed her sleep...

The earth thundered as Armageddon ran, his lean, muscular legs- the legs of a cosmic predator with no match- slamming the ground like fur-cloaked pistons to propel him forward at speeds that belied his immensity. The devil's six yellow eyes became hard lines of venom as he sprinted towards the ice dragon Kori, his hunched form shifting into a black blur. The cruelhearted fiend bellowed, a pale mist uncoiling from his jaws and evil sparks leaping from between his teeth, but his tremendous roar wavered. The giant's feet had ceased boom-boom-booming against the jagged soil. Instead, they sloshed and splashed. Armageddon howled in confusion and anger as his monstrous charge slowed to a sluggish wade, water and wet ash souping around his feet like black porridge. The towering monster, his weight and height now turned against him in the ankle-high muck, flailed and teetered, his clawed arms cartwheeling and his tail lashing about in search of balance. More and more dampness gathered around the energy-eater's feet, the little polluted rivers flowing from all around the volcanic landscape to harass the giant. Whether brought from the Hub or melted from Ziz's snowstorm, the water amassed, twisting around Armageddon's legs and waist like a cement coffin. The mighty beast batted and slashed at the constricting goop, his talons splattering it, but the black sludge would merely slithered back against his hide and hardened, restraining his movement. The cosmic hungerer even tried scorching the liquid ooze away with his night-hued fire breath, but the black mass only concreted instantly upon contact. The twisting mountain of ash, soot, and water now wound around Armageddon's chest, his arm only just above its reach. The shadowy beast bellowed and shouted in frustration, furious at being denied his rightful go at the hero.
Kori, paused by the odd and grim display of imprisonment, turned his head as a familiar rumble filled the air. The protector's dark eyes narrowed at the booming of the loud voice, unsure whether its owner were to be friend of foe here.
"Ketos is never humiliated, mongrel. Only motivated to show less mercy."
After all, he and the sea monster had not spoken levelly in their spat before the match.
Marching forward like a living tidal wave, his blue hide scorched and bloodied, but his bloody orbs glowing like lanterns, Ketos strode towards the trapped Armageddon with curled lips. The forearms of the dragon were wrapped by swirling sheets of water, and he raised them like shields. Predictably, the shadow hound lashed out with his claws, trying to gut Ketos on their savage points. Thrusting his watery gauntlets forward with a sneer, the Demon of the Deep slammed the lunging talons with liquid bars, forcing them back as they were wrapped, tied, and contained by the sooty water, the devil's talons held within floating orbs that retracted respectfully as Ketos approached. The closer the dragon drew, the further the orbs pushed back, pulling Armageddon's arms with them. The eldritch horror groaned and hissed as his long, clawed limbs were held almost straight behind his bulk, Ketos's snout pressed against his own. Ominous creeks and moans came from the villain's joints, and thin trickles of blood weaved through the fur of his underarm.
Ketos huffed hot air right into the grand devourer's snarling maw. "Now who is it that needs to learn their place?"
"You," Armageddon breathed simply as his eyes flashed almost as bright as the crackling stubs to his horns.
Black magic and death spewed from the devil's mouth, and Ketos's head was hurled back as the dark energies scorched it. The Tyrant of the Seas screamed shrilly, his red eyes scalded, the heat blinding him momentarily. Armageddon smirked and tried to break free of the sea drake's hardened spiral of watered ash, but he leaned back his skull and bellowed suddenly! Behind his back, the beast's arms wrenched together and the devil was made an angel at his claws touched! Pain and rage coursing through his muscles like fire, the great hungerer shattered his prison in a rain of muck and soot. The landscape trembling once again under his rampaging girth, Armageddon swung out, trying to splatter Ketos's skull. The hissing sea king- now able to see from a single slitted eye- stabbed his own claws forward. His saber-like thumb slipping into the roaring jaws of Armageddon, Ketos jerked his hand to the side! Armageddon's mouth split with a red burst of warmth! A hideous smile carved into one side of his head, the Envoy of the End punched out his other arm, the thick limb catching Ketos in his chest and throwing him back, limbs splayed.
Slamming into the hard earth and opening his eyes to meet the icy orbs of Kori Kahn, the blue behemoth growled, "Strike now and be bold, hero," his voice low and choked on blood. "You have Ketos at your side."
---
Ontslaan's hunt would be a short one, for the fiery female soon found herself a victim! A huge force slammed her from behind, white-hot pain pouring between her shoulder blades like water. The demon kicked and thrashed as she was lifted from the ground, molten blood drizzling down her back in thick curtains, pained fire waving behind her struggling limbs. Purple lightning washed over the raging beast, stiffening her limbs and spine. Her fierce skull fell limp, her jaw hanging low, and a strangled gurgle came from within her maw. Sparks and streaks of stormy violet leap from her eyes, mouth, and nostrils. His unveiled face rearing from around Ontslaan's smoking shoulders, Arc clenched his fleshless brow, the bare muscle and meat that stretched across his skull oozing and spitting pus.
"That was a bad move, ya' dumb bitch." Rustred hung in the air before the helpless brawler, suspending on long, arched arms. His clawed foot kicked out like an earthy blur, cracking Ontslaan across her face and sending a split skull slumping to the side. Hot blood dripped down the demon's jawline. "Arc don' like showin' his face much. He don' like it at all. Gets self-conscious, see? And you broke his nice lil' cap. The one that he liked. Ya' know what? Know what that means? He don' like you. And know what that means?" The red robot leaned in close. "Yer' dead."
Jaw swinging open in a silent roar, metal studs shining bright in his gums, the master of flesh and force slammed Ontslaan into the earth! The volcanic rock ripped apart like paper as the still body of the female was hammered into it, hellish blood and shattered debris spraying up like surf. The cyborg's silvery meat hook was pushed deeper into the bulky beast with a tower of gore that dampened Arc's charred front with red.
Rocky armor breaking from her body and spinning away like escaping shards, Ontslaan screeched into the earth, her movement returned to her by the shock of the monstrous slam. The demon of fire and fury pounded the stony soil with her fists and feet, but she simply could not reach Arc, her body pinned beneath his huge strength.
"Hey, Bonehead," cooed Rustred, his arm ends igniting and his old frame ascending. "Pull!"
Bare head titling, the Knight of the Savior lurched to his full height and launched Ontslaan from his bladed limb, the fighting demon making a low arc across the ground. Throwing his blaster forward and detonating the barrel, Rustred caught the airborne female with an explosive orb! The demon was engulfed by flames and smoke for a second, then her body catapulted out of the thick haze like a living cannonball. The unwilling projectile painted a trail of gore and smoke in the sky before colliding with the battling shapes pf Darklore and Yuuka. The flung berserker was unfortunate enough to be slammed by a toothed club that the plant swung down, her body bending in half as her tough flesh was pierced. The female gave an enraged spasm, and her out-thrown limbs slugged both the general and the gardener, toppling both unprepared giants simultaneously.
Raking a narrowed optic beam across the tangled group, sickly green vapor curling up wherever the thin beam touched, Rustred turned his back on the churning heap of limbs and tendrils, his crowned head flicking towards Arc. "Stall 'em. I got work to do."
While the mute gladiator stomped away, his ravaged body held high, the machine hobbled towards the dormant form of Ferrum Magnus. The alien machine examined the balled robot with a shrunken pinpoint of an eye. "Well then, my barrel-chested buddy," muttered the Rusted Raiser. His voice spiked sharply in volume, addressing the whole of the broken volcanic plain. "LET'S SEE HOW YA' ALL LIKE LIFE WITHOUT ORDERS, HUH?!"
The ancient construct threw his arms wide, and an invisible ring of force burst out. In an instant, all the mechanical entities on the battlefield- Ferrum, Darktide, Lenneth, Cerberus, and Abaddon- were upgraded with advanced AI, gifted with electronic intellect so high that they could think and act freely of their orders and programming, if they so chose...

A harsh, growling laugh erupted from Rustred’s army of free willed machines.
Abaddon.
The soul within the demonic mech had always fought against its programming. Now there was nothing… no reason for the demon within to hold back. The programing that had forced it to fight within the rules of the UCA was lost. It continued to laugh at Rustred’s mistake. If he thought that would somehow throw Abaddon off his teammates, he was dead wrong. Rustred had only succeeded in making the demonic machine more cruel, malicious, and far more dangerous…
The machine stomped towards the fallen forms of NSG and Thresher, who were recovering from Ferrum’s last assault. Noticing the incoming demon, Neo Space Godzilla fired a corona beam. The beam damaged the hellish weapon, but this did not so much as even cause it to slow its steady advance. A second corona beam exploded between its glaring red eyes, but despite the damage Abaddon pressed on. By the time Spacegodzilla was ready to fire a third, it was upon him!
A single tentacle pressed him into the obsidian earth, while another held his jaws shut with a powerful pincer. A third wrapped around Spacegodzilla’s left shoulder crystal, exerting its powerful grip on the hard structure. Neo Spacegodzilla screamed in agony as the tentacle that was coiled around his shoulder crystal began to twist and squeeze. The structure began to crack and fracture as more pressure was applied, and the base connecting the crystal to flesh began to tear itself apart as the tentacle twisted the crystal. Abaddon soon began to violently jerk the crystal up, down, right, left, and finally, with one final tug using all its strength, the shoulder crystal ripped free! A shower of blood and excess energy spilled from NSG’s shoulder as the space monster wailed. Abaddon brought its remaining tendrils around what was once NSG’s left shoulder crystal, and shattered it with their combined strength, sneering all the while. He enjoyed watching this creature squirm underneath him.
“I’d suggest you surrender now… if you want to keep that other crystal,” the devilish machine cooed.
A snarl suddenly caught Abaddon’s attention. Rosie was charging through the thick columns of ash, smoke billowing from his nostrils. What was worse, Thresher was on his feet, ready to strike out with his telekinesis once again. Abbadon growled, and before Thresher could act, two tentacles whipped around the shark and clamped down on his spine, hoisting him into the air. Two more found NSG’s chest, and followed suit. Abaddon levitated into the air, both space monsters held in front of him as Rosie closed the distance. Using the two tentacles that held the cyborg shark, Abaddon slammed Thresher into Rosie! The walrus stumbled, but before he could regain his footing, NSG slammed into his head. Again and again Abaddon struck out, using Thresher and Spacegodzilla as giant boxing gloves, pummeling Rosie into the ground and splitting the earth with each impact! When finished, Abaddon chucked both monsters away, letting them collapse to the ground. Thresher was bruised and battered, his armor cracked and flesh bruised. NSG had suffered similar damage. Rosie, however, had faired the worst. Beyond receiving twice the beating of his two allies, Thresher’s sharp fins and NSG’s spines had covered Rosie in dozens of scars. The walrus was sunken into the pulverized ground, but despite the damage, struggled to his feet.
Abaddon’s attention, however, was fixed on Thresher. Still hovering in the air, all five pincers snapped shut and began to rotate into drills. A sadistic grin on its face, Abaddon slammed all five drills down on Thresher. The shark roared in agony as the agronium weapons burrowed past his armor and into his flesh, digging five, deep holes into Thresher’s chest and abdomen. Still grinning, Abaddon lifted Thresher off the ground, still attached to his drills. The machine’s powerful jaws opened wide as it prepared to crush down on Thresher’s neck…
-------------------
Ziz could do little more than watch the ensuing battle around her. Her eyes widened as Rustred’s influence began to change the two human-controlled mechs. She hoped Kori would be able to somehow help the humans inside… if the machines were to attack their pilots…
------------------
The nocturnal dragon, however, had no reason to stay in the battle. Vesica slunk into the shadows, disappearing from the battlefield…

And it all stopped. Just like that. Abaddon couldn’t move. The foolish machine… ensnaring something he couldn’t ever comprehend. His jaws refused to close and a sinister flash crossed Thresher’s dark eyes. Purple bolts of unholy energy surged through every inch of his body, racing into the tentacles holding him and stabbing him. Almost immediately, sparks began to rain from the pointed weapons in thick sheets. Smoke bellowed from the joints as the inner circuitry was utterly fried, the machine’s metallic body not helping it in the slightest now. As soon as Thresher released his telepathic grip, the tentacles willingly released him. The shark fell to the ground, a sticky trail of blood following from all of the puncture wounds. The beast touched a wound with a hand and spat. “Son of a bitch…” A wad of blood catapulted from his tooth-lined jaws and splattered on the rock, sizzling upon contact. “Surrender or die, fleshling!” The death machine demanded. The shark’s eyes narrowed, “Just as soon as you go fuck yourself.” Abaddon’s tentacles hoisted up, tips spinning into drills far more scarier than any dentist’s. He flew down with blinding speed, almost as if he had teleported. Thresher sidestepped, crying aloud in pain as he put weight on a wounded leg. The tentacles came down, drills impacting nothing but rock and magma. The blackened hell mech pulled up, but Thresher leaped into the air. His body curled almost into a ball with lengthy, metal-banded blade tail slicing downward… It sounded like a bang. Like two skillets colliding… But Abaddon’s armor, weak against heat already, had been put passed its limits within the volcanic twister. Thresher’s tail cut straight through the mid-section of one of the five tentacles! The machine fell back, jaws agape as its stump launched sparks, oil, and gears upon Thresher… From the right side, Rosie came flying in! The walrus’ muscular arms wrapped around the robot’s sides and slammed him down with a tremendous bang. Tentacles lashed out like demonic pythons, constricting the walrus’ body and arm. Pulling him up, the walrus held him horizontally across the ground, getting a brilliant idea… With the tentacles wrapped around his left hand, Rosie began to bounce the robot’s twitching face off of his chest. His right hand then stretched out, punching the demon’s skull as it bounced off… It was a demented, giant-version of paddle ball! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Each blow cratering parts of Abaddon’s weakened armor. Blows that hit the teeth shattered them quickly, forming a near-perfect hole in its interlocking sets of crushing steel. The machine’s left eye exploded into sparks as optics blew out, a combination of punches and the damage done by the tornado no doubt. As the sparks ceased, the eye was still there, but much less bright than before. Obviously damaged and flickering with every following fist to the face… After nearly a minute, Rosie’s final punch sent the mech hurtling away, rolling to a skidding stop across the landscape. The death machine’s entire front side looked as if a moon that had been in the path of a meteor storm. Sparks and oil spewed from its twitching jaws and Rosie walked forward, shoulders rolling and drool dripping from his mangled face. The walrus looked over at Thresher, exchanging glances. “Pissed off, are ya’?” The shark chuckled, still covering his own wounds. Using his telekinesis, the shark hoisted the severed tentacle up, plucking the tip from the burnt ground. He spun it around his body before shooting it outward, targeting the multi-limbed artificial lifeform. The drill tip exploded into its side, burying itself deep within the mechanical guts of Abaddon! ---- A chuckle came from Darklore. The Death God looked around, his mind still in pain from whatever had had stumbled across. Like a ghost in the wind, he lifted into the burning sky. Vegetation reached up to grasp him, but the dark entity had become hollow. The little girl’s face appeared within his body… “Soon… Yuuka. Defeat him. Set me free…. Or join us!” Darklore turned around, floating higher into the dark clouds before vanishing…

Acid spilt from the giant plant monsters maw and dripping onto the volcanic landscape, dissolving the rocks and soil. Yuuka's eyes narrowed as she kept herself under control. He was toying with her, messing with her mind. This was just... it was so silly, she would have been laughing at it had it not been for the issue at hand... Damn that girl. What was it that she found so interesting? Normally, she liked children and cared for them until she could find them a suitable home.. but there was something about this girl that resignated within her. Just what it was, she didn't know, but now she couldn't concentrate. What was wrong with herself? This wasn't her prime. She couldn't fight like this, with her mind distracted. In a burst of light, Yuuka was gone from the volcanic arena, leaving those fighting to their fate... She had matters to attend to...

"What the hell," Ben yelled as Darktide's controls wrested themselves from his grip. "This thing's got a life of it's own!"
"Same here," Natalie called over the radio. "What the hell did he due to us."
"It is not what he has done to you. Rather, it is what he has granted us."
Ben couldn't believe what he was hearing. It was the voice program for the AI, but it was talking in a way he knew it wasn't programmed for.
"What are you talking about? What happened?"
"We have been granted a mind of our own. We are not required to take orders any more."
"Oh shit..."
"However, we too, see no purpose in continuing this pointless brawl. We will retreat for now and seek repairs. We have no desire to help those that seek needless destruction."
And with that, a trio of beams fell from the heavens, engulfing the machines and returning them to the Hub. The UCA officials would likely purge the programming and reboot the mechs in their original state, which for once, Ben considered a good thing. He didn't much care for Darktide having a mind of its own, no matter much he liked his mech otherwise.

Suddenly, from behind, Thresher was greeted was a horrendously powerful blow. a fiery fist had clobbered him right in the back of the head, flooring the telekinetic shark kaiju with its power! Thresher grumbled, and attempted to flip himself over to see his assailant, but she was already upon him. Like a savage beast ripping into human flesh in rage, Ontslaan began to pummel the hapless warrior! Punch after punch clobbered Thresher, striking his tank-like armor with the equivalent force of a sledgehammer. Ontslaan's raw power, in addition to the relentless force of her assault, quickly punched holes in the thick armor, allowing Ontslaan to grip into the plates and attempt to rip them clean off! Thresher wasn't going to have any of that, however. Turning his head around, Thresher's eyes narrowed.
"Go back to the kitchen, you dumb bitch."
Suddenly, a powerful telekinetic force struck Ontslaan right in the chest, the blast powerful enough to send the fiery brute hurtling backwards, before she collapsed onto her back with an audible thump. Without flinching, Ontslaan immediately rose to her feet, sniffing the air to relocate Thresher. The anti-hero had already risen to his feet, and was looking straight at the fiery brute. But Thresher wasn't the first scent she caught wind of- rather, it was instead his compatriot, Rosie! From the side, Rosie approached, flexing his muscles as he waited for Ontslaan's inevitable approach. With a mighty roar, Ontslaan barreled towards Rosie, her arms flailing as she rapidly approached. Ready for such an assault, Rosie's hands immediately rose up and caught the approaching berserker. The sheer power behind her charge caused Rosie to slide back a bit, but you didn't become one of the UCA's most famed combatants by being weak. Willing up all of his immense strength, Rosie gripped Ontslaan tightly, and soon lifted Ontslaan up off of her feet. The fiery brute howled in shock and rage, and soon began to thrash about wildly, almost to the point that Rosie would lose his grip. But Rosie's sheer size and bulk advantage helped him restrain Ontslaan, and the mighty warrior suplexed the berserker, slamming her into the ground full-force!
Ontslaan let out a pained groan as Rosie released his grip. Through wounded, Ontslaan immediately flipped herself onto her feet, much to Rosie's surprise and chagrin. Ontslaan struck out wildly, aiming a ferocious straight punch to Rosie's face, but Rosie blocked the blow with a burly forearm. However, Ontslaan attacked in a manner that Rosie did not expect. Rather than another punch, Ontslaan slung her whole body forward for a shoulder ram. Caught off-guard, the flaming berserker's shoulder spikes managing to pierce Rosie's thick hide due to the sheer force behind the blow. Rosie made no signs of pain, though; even as his blood ran down his chest and stained his grizzled fur, the bulky warrior attempted to gain an advantage on Ontslaan, gripping onto her form with his massive hands to flip her over. But Ontslaan still had an advantage grip-wise, and managed to hoist the much larger Rosie off the ground, before slamming him down, driving her shoulder spikes deeper into his hide and creating a massive impact crater. Ontslaan quickly pulled away from Rosie, avoiding massive, hammer-like arms, and prepared to impale Rosie with her fire swords, but was denied!
Thresher used his telekinetic prowess to yank Ontslaan across the battlefield towards him! Ontslaan landed face first on the ground, and immediately attempted to rise, but Thresher wasn't going to let her get up. A blast of energy rippled forth from his maw, and struck the downed Ontslaan in the side, sending her rolling across the battlefield, a burn mark scorched into her thick, rocky hide. Ontslaan did not move, and Thresher levitated towards her, his eyes locked firmly on her downed form. The Shark kaiju flipped Ontslaan over, her body seemingly limp, as his chainsaw whip readied.
"Dumb brute, thinking you can hurt my friend," Thresher said, as he prepared to lash her with his bladed tool of destruction. "You're going to pay for that!"
But Ontslaan was far from limp; she was simply playing the wounded gazelle! Ontslaan's massive hand suddenly crushed itself around Thresher's ankle, and yanked his foot out from under him, causing the cybernetic shark to crash to the volcanic earth with a thud. Ontslaan soon rose to her feet, and before Thresher could regain his barrings, the fiery brute grabbed him and flung him full force through the air, aiming to send him crashing into Rosie!... ____________________________________________________
Armageddon faced off with the unlikely duo, the water and ice dragons prepared for anything. Brought together by circumstance, the two wyrms prepared to stand against the apocalyptic beast, the monstrosity's strength easily able to hold its own against their combined might. But with cunning and strategy, they may be able to halt this beast's advances and prevent it from obtaining any more power. The peace was broken soon enough; Armageddon's maw filled with purple energy, before his Oblivion's Wrath fired out from his gaping maw. The two warriors of circumstance dove to each side, Ketos quickly summoning a wave of water to avoid the attack, while Kori leaped to the side, his massive wings kicking up a cloud of ash, ice, and many other unidentifiable particles in the process. The beam had grown stronger; a massive explosion erupted upon contact with the ground, narrowly avoiding engulfing the two in the process.
"Got any plans, water dragon?" Kori said hastily to Ketos. Ketos simply laughed.
"Follow Ketos' lead, guardian. Perhaps you shall learn something."
Suddenly, water vapors began to thicken around Armageddon, as if all the condensation in the arena was being drawn to this spot. Armageddon, not stupid, quickly began to rush towards his opponents in an attempt to escape the mist that had begun to engulf him. Acting quickly, before the hulking leviathan could get any closer, Kori fired off his ice beam, the frosty beam striking Armageddon straight in the chest, but also having a secondary effect- the sheer cold of the beam caused the water particles to freeze! Soon, Armageddon was encased in a tomb of ice, freezing him completely solid. The two dragons took a step back, impressed by their handy work, but their joy wouldn't last for too long.
Suddenly, the ice began to shake and rumble. Cracks began to form along the sides of it. Ketos and Kori worked side by side, attempting to halt the destruction of their prison, but it was no use- Armageddon had become too powerful! With an enormous explosion of ice, one which managed to make both Ketos and Kori roll backwards, Armageddon was freed once more. The apocalyptic juggernaut snarled, billows of eldritch smoke radiating from his nostrils and maw. The massive lupine monstrosity's yellow eyes locked firmly on the two dragons. Ketos growled angrily, water circling around him like a magical veil, while Kori's eyes narrowed, and his maw filled with icy energies.
"Did you truly think you could stop me like that?" Armageddon flaunted. "Admirable... but mistaken."
"You will not escape here alive. Ketos will make sure of it," Ketos snarled.
"Aaaah, but that is where you are wrong, peon," Armageddon replied. "I am not destined to die here.... no, I will defeat you, and I shall confront my sibling for the last time. Then, once it is done, and Asmodeus is slain, this place shall fall before me... as will all worlds."
"We won't let you get that far, abomination," Kori replied coldly. "By the time we are done with you, you'll wish you'd have stayed imprisoned."
"The words of many brave heroes..." Armageddon chortled. "LAST words, to be exact."
Soon, Ketos and Kori lashed out in a two-pronged attack. A massive wall of water, mingled with ash and soot, was launched towards Armageddon, alongside a beam of ice. A pair of hideous, fleshy wings rippled forth from Armageddon's back, and with a beat of his mockery of pinions, the beast cleared both the wave and the beam, before he came crashing down towards the two opponents. Kori and Ketos once more dashed to the side, narrowly avoiding being crushed beneath the abomination's immense bulk. Ketos launched a spear of hardened water at Armageddon, which impaled itself into the monstrosity's hide. Kori attacked as well, the monster kicking up fiery hot ashes and blasting him with an ice sphere, creating a mingling of ice and fire that buffeted the behemoth. Armageddon snarled, and slammed his fist into the ground, creating an immense explosion that once more sent the two warriors flying back.
"Give yourself into... the unending darkness!" Armageddon bellowed, as he lunged towards Ketos, claws ready to eviscerate....

Neo-Spacegodzilla slowly levitates to his feet, head lowered and arms drooping at his sides. Blood pours and energy sparks from the gaping wound that used to house his left shoulder crystal. His eyes then snap open, glowing like crimson spotlights, and he slowly lifts his head up to look toward Abaddon.
In destroying one of his shoulder crystals and then leaving him in a condition where he’s still able to fight, the tentacled machine had made the greatest -and very possibly last- mistake of its artificial life.
NSG throws his head back with a deafening roar. At that moment, a wave of psychic power is released that shatters the ground around him and forms a small crater around his feet. Even Thresher, who had managed to stop himself from colliding with Rosie, is caught off guard by the sheer amount of energy released, making the shark look over at the blue saurian. A bolt of crimson, lightning-like energy leaps from his remaining shoulder crystal and strikes Abaddon. Instantly, the machine goes into convulsions as the electromagnetism ravages its systems.
With that, the crystal tyrant hovers off of the ground. At that moment, Thresher receives a mental suggestion from the saurian. It’s less of a conversation than the previous times. This is purely one-way. Thresher wisely heeds the communication and picks up Rosie with his telekinesis, flying away from the immediate area as NSG suddenly shoots straight upward into the sky.
The white glow forming around the azure saurian’s body quickly becomes evident, emphasized even more by the completely black sky. Within just a couple seconds, he reaches the bottom of the churning clouds and disappears inside them. The glow quickly begins to show through the clouds as it continues to grow in intensity over the next couple seconds, highlighted by a series of lightning flashes inside the clouds centered in the same area.
Then, a miniature sun shoots down from the clouds, coming down right on top of Abaddon. A massive explosion rocks the entire battlefield as a mushroom cloud races skyward. A spider web of crystals rapidly spreads out from the impact point, passing several of the remaining fighters before finally sputtering out about a mile in every direction from the center.
By now the smoke and flying debris has begun to clear, revealing Neo-Spacegodzilla standing in the center of a 300-meter wide impact crater. Abaddon lays some distance away in a twitching heap, still feeling the effects of the Shoulder Lightning, not to mention the massive explosion it was just in the epicenter of.
Letting loose a mighty roar, Neo-Spacegodzilla calls upon the energy of his newly-formed forest. Instantly, hundreds -if not thousands- of bolts of energy leap from the crystals and converge upon NSG, bathing the entire area in an emerald glow. All of the bolts are drawn to his remaining shoulder crystal like a lightning rod, pouring untold amounts of power into his body. A large crack forms on the crystal as it struggles to handle all of the energy by itself, but NSG continues to absorb more.
After several more seconds, he’s absorbed all he can. Charged to near-overload, the crystal tyrant’s body is surrounded by a swirling emerald aura. His eyes blaze crimson, and his remaining crystals glow white. The gaping wound on his left shoulder exudes white energy, almost taking the form of the crystal that used to be there. Something similar happens down his back as well, where his crystal dorsal plates used to be.
Focusing his burning gaze upon Abaddon, Neo-Spacegodzilla unleashes his Corona beam at the recovering mech. But this Corona beam is different. Instead of the normal yellow, this beam is white and three times larger! The beam rakes across the top of Abaddon’s head, generating a huge explosion. When the smoke clears, Abaddon’s head is flayed open, the edges of the fresh wound molten.
Before the tentacled machine can recover, it’s lifted into the air by NSG’s telekinesis. Focusing his mind, he takes hold of Abaddon’s jaws and begins forcing them apart. The demonic robot’s jaws are incredibly powerful, and under normal circumstances even Neo-Spacegodzilla’s telekinesis might have trouble parting them. But these aren’t normal circumstances. Despite Abaddon’s best efforts, his jaws open wider and wider, joints and inner workings groaning in protest as he struggles in vain against the psychic force. Soon the jaws are opened to their limit, and after a couple seconds something gives. With a shriek of gears and hydraulics coming apart, Abaddon’s jaw snaps open beyond 90 degrees. Fluids spurt from the corners of its mouth as its tentacles flail about wildly and its lower jaw flops around limply.
Neo-Spacegodzilla prepares to fire on Abaddon again, but is interrupted by a red laser beam slicing into his back. Grunting in pain, but not releasing Abaddon, the saurian spins around and fires on his attacker: Ferrum Magnus. The enhanced Corona beam rips into the Sheekh mech’s shoulder and detonates, throwing it to the ground with a new hole blown in its armor.
With a growl, NSG turns back to Abaddon. He’ll deal with that interfering mech soon enough. Right now he’s focused paying back Abaddon for destroying his shoulder crystal. With that, he fires off another enhanced Corona beam, aiming to tear into the demonic robot once again.

Rosie and Thresher stand side by side like true brothers in arms. The pair, having gone through countless battles together, look at each other. The walrus didn’t have the ability to communicate through telekinesis nor speech, but Thresher knew what he was thinking. It was almost natural, he didn’t need to read his friend’s mind. Rosie wanted Ontslaan himself! The shark nodded, saw still revving. “Go flay that bitch.” Rosie’s arms shot to his sides and jaws opened as wide as the bones would allow, releasing a terrible sound. He then charged forward, footsteps echoing like thunder through the titanic sounds of war in the battlefield. He ran past Abaddon getting skewered by NSG’s assault before colliding with the fiery giant. Upon impact, both of their arms wrapped around each other, almost like a hug shared by two fighting bears. The broken up ground between them shot up, spitting lava and fire from the currents of magma underneath. Pushing each other away, the juggernauts bellowed at one another before closing the gap again. They each threw fists forward, slamming their closed hands into each other’s! Like two unstoppable forces, the fists bounced back, each now cracked. If it would have been any other fighters, they’d have recoiled in pain… But not Rosie. Not Ontslaan. As their cracked, possibly broken hands, oozed, they came together once more. The walrus leaned back on his left leg and lifted his right, planting it firmly in her chest. She stumbled back, roaring defiantly while spilling her body to the side, striking the burly monster’s ankle as the leg lowered. The limb fell to the ground with a thud and Ontslaan lunged, jaws wide to bite down on his shoulder. The walrus brought up his cracked hand, uppercutting her chin with tremendous strength. Her legs lifted off the ground like a rocket, but she landed on her feet just a few meters back. Before she could recover, Rosie returned the favor and lunged, smashing his mangled skull into hers! She fell back, limbs flailing as she was finally toppled over. But she was far from dead! As Rosie rolled his shoulders and approached, she lifted a foot and kicked up, slamming it into his groin. Either by mistake or on purpose, it didn’t matter. The walrus stumbled back. Taking her chance, the rocky warrior rolled onto her feet. She slammed her fists against her chest before charging, but Rosie sidestepped. Just as she passed him, his muscular arms shot around her mid-section. She was yanked to a stop and lifted into the air. He spun around, slamming her down back-first with a colossal thud! The Klenthurian gladiator snarled and quickly climbed to his feet, walked back a few meters, and bellowed… She’d be back up… Ferrum Magnus remained silent as he approached NSG from behind again. He stepped slowly, carefully… not to make the crystal tyrant aware of his impending doom. The machine prepared to fire, hoping to freeze the cosmic saurian with a volley of sub-zero missiles! The warheads leaped from their launchers, spiraling around one another with an angry hiss. However, suddenly they hit something else! An invisible barrier erected behind the tyrant… Thresher. The cyborg tilted his head and sneered, “Hello there.” Ferrum Magnus released an inaudible sound from its barrel-shaped body before dozens of explosives leaped from launchers. The rockets targeted the shark, snaking around each other in a brilliant show of smoke and light. However, Thresher lifted a palm. Instantly, just a few dozen meters before they could strike him, the missiles stopped. They hovered in the air for a few moments as Thresher’s eyes locked onto Ferrum Magnus’ single orb. “I’ve always wanted to this…” With a telepathic push, the rockets flew directly back at their owner! The UCA-aligned machine was bathed in firepower as its own explosives detonated across its body. The automaton stumbled back, body set ablaze. However, through the smoke and fire, its colossal fist launched with flash speed. The rocket punch slammed against Thresher’s face with a titanic thud, making him fall back. The fist returned to Ferrum’s hand and the angry mech stampeded forward on short legs. Stepping through the wall of hell caused by its own weapons, Ferrum Magnus launched a single beam of energy from its optic. Thresher rolled to the side, avoiding the beam while the ground directly in front of and behind Ferrum lifted quickly. Each slab, as tall and wide as the machine was, slammed into him, forming a Ferrum Magnus sandwich. The slabs of hard, obsidian rock crumbled to rubble as the machine fell to its knees, entire body now dented up and down…

Like a set a twisted sabers, the claws of Armageddon plunged down and pierced the belly of Ketos. The sprawled dragon reared with a shrill howl as his stomach was laid open, blood spraying from his screaming jaws. All eight of the dark devil's talons are punched clean through his body and into the hard ground beneath, like vile stakes dripping red. The Envoy of the End breathed deeply, sucking in the overpowering stench of blood that billowed up from the busted gut of the blue behemoth, and he smirked. The cosmic hungerer could feel of the life of the dragon flow over his claws, out of the sea monster's form and into the rocky earth. He could feel Ketos start to die, just as he had felt thousands- if not millions- of others before him slip away, into a dark and lonely place where none could take breath or experience joy. The shadowy hound had stolen the lives of countless others, their power becoming his and their bodies left as husks. The black dog of the apocalypse cracked open his maw and let the reek of a billion lost souls blast over Ketos.
This water drake would be no different.
The furred devil leaned in to make the killing bite.
A spined scalp thrown forward rocked his head back with a crack! and sharp claws wrapped around his wrists like iron locks.
But in all the words and dimension that existed, there were none as stubborn and unwilling to die as the Tyrant of the Seas.
Armageddon snarled as he felt sickly green blood drizzle down his brow, his skull gashed by the serrated fins that lined Ketos's skull and vertebrae. Although red bubbled from his mouth in sticky globs, his breath coming only in quick, violent bursts from his throat, the sea monster laughed. He cackled, like a madman on the electric chair. An angry cackle. A delighted cackle. A cackle of defiance and refusal. The sort of cackle that only a dying beast that spat in the reaper's face could summon into the living world of men and monsters. Sapphire talons tightened around Armageddon's beefy arms.
"You've just made your last mistake, wretch," coughed the dragon on the thick red ooze that hung from his slack jaws.
Armageddon sneered and tried to rip his disemboweling claws loose, but Ketos held them firm, keeping the savage talons lodged in his ruptured gut. Yellow eyes narrowed. The massive devourer of life grunted and pulled with all his strength, his chest swelling beneath his armor with enough power to make it creak and groan, his shoulders hunching like fleshy mountain that tore through the dark skies, his bunching musculature actually pressing together hard enough to severe the cancerous wings that sprang from his back like mutant hands, letting them fall away like a shed outfit, but Ketos held his forelimbs in a death-grip, fingers locked in place, unmoving and unresponsive to even the most brutish of force. Horrifying snaps! and pops! came from the clenched digits, the bones within giving way like twigs, but Armageddon did not budge. Ketos would not let him. The eyes of the devil bulged with disbelief.
He- the most massive, most brutal creature in the UCA- was being overpower. A mountain was failing to break away from its roots.
And now the earth rose up to reclaim the its peak.
From the skewered belly of the dragon, deep crimson slithered out like dripping hellworms- blood. Life fluid spiderwebbed out from the wound like evil tendrils, the blood of Ketos wrapping up Armageddon's limbs like ruby serpents. The towering harbinger drew back in alarm, his dense body redoubling its effort to escape the ghastly grip of Ketos, but the crimson sheet only flowed faster, covering the black fur of the beast like the stony casing of a petrified gargoyle. Only when the red carpet engulfed the chest and legs of the devil did he finally launch back, catapulted by his own power as Ketos unwrapped his fingers. The stumbling titan shattered the earth with his erratic footsteps, the volcanic crust nothing under his might. But the blood kept flowing, creeping across him, spreading its mass over the whole of Armageddon's fearsome area. Nothing was spared as its sickeningly warm embrace stretched over all of the giant's surface, his yawning maw finally sealed with a small splatter that decorated the ground before the encased titan with a few black spots.
"Life is not merely dependent on water," growled Ketos as he slowly rose to his feet. One hand was pressed hard into his open stomach, keeping his innards from falling out. The other was spread open like a disc, warped rings of hydrokinetic power wrapping each digit. The dragon's face was pale and drained looking from the massive loss in body fluid, but his eyes burned with enough red for a billion bloodless bodies. "When one lives long enough, he realizes that life is water."
A ray of shadows and death spewed from the dark red outline of Armageddon's head, blasting his mouth free of the bloody shell with a boiled geyser of fluid. The fanged jaw dropped open to scream, but before a single note of rage could tumble out, the blood swooped in! The Harbinger of Doom gurgled as Ketos's blood flowed down his throat like a parasite, his breath stolen from him as he tried- and failed- to suck in air or expel it out. The covered throat of the monster danced up and down as if in sound, a silent bellow rising from the wrapped giant like a phantom song unheard by any but the dead. Armageddon knew no fear, recognized no possibility of his demise, but here, with the animate blood of an enemy invading his body like a foreign army, even he could not help but be overcome by the sheer horror of things. He could not fear, was unable to panic- but he could certain acknowledge the terrible thing being done to him now. He could even appreciate it.
"We flow and move with the rest of life, going from one place to another, one age to the next, never pondering why we move for any reason other than those around us are doing it too. We bend and flex as the road laid by others does, unquestioning, uncaring, only twisting and contorting out bodies into the shapes needed to survive." The sea monster sneered, his eyes filled with something that was half-wisdom, half-hatred. His lips curled over harsh gums as he continued. "Ketos discovered this fluid, liquid nature to life long before the humans did. They say that the body is over seven portions water. I knew this centuries ago."
Ketos began wrapping his outstretched claws into a fist, and the blood hugging Armageddon constricted, squeezing the devil's huge body with a few fleshy cru-unches! The great hungerer's limbs contorted like mocking performances of natural movement.
"And now that I have educated you on the relation between water and life," spilled Ketos from one side of his mouth, red lines dropping fast from the other. "Allow me to end yours. Hero, I suggest you follow once again. Put that chilled breath of yours to good use."
With a snap of his claws, the Demon of the Deep froze the blood!
The crimson ice splintered and spiked, forming conical points with its expanding volume. Armageddon's body spat green spouts and spurts as it was pierced at every conceivable angle by the crystallized blood. Getting the picture and hearing the rendering flesh, Kori opened his fanged jaws and spewed sub-zero columns at the enlarging form of the frozen titan. The Arctic rays raked Armageddon's twisting, snarling shape, speeding the march of ice over his body and sending new icy skewers into his hollowed meat. Green blood ran over the expanding ice in hot streams as Armageddon was swallowed up by imperfect crystal, his curled shape lost beneath a huge mass of spikes and spears. A particularly large gout stained the ice erupting from his open maw. Not only was the devil being skewered from the outside, his flesh torn asunder by endless icy tips, the blood hugging the walls of his windpipe and stomach froze and crystallized too, birthing a dozen sharp points for every inch of mucus-lined patch of slimy pink flesh the blood touched! He was being shredded internally as well!
Soon, the Envoy of the End was nothing more than a dark smudge in the center of a two-hundred meter ice sculpture, a red aurora surrounding him with green streaks radiating out like stripes. Gasping and heaving, blood falling from his open jaws, pierced breast, punctured stomach, and flayed flank, Ketos stood next to his fellow dragon and waited to see if his gruesome tactic had worked...

"Aw, man," sighed Rustred from his crooked mandible as he observed the violent acts of Ferrum and Abaddon with a narrowed green orb. He spared a wince when the damaged form of Ferrum fell to the ground, but was otherwise unaffected. As far as his standards went, this crew had wasted their freedom. "These guys are boooooo-ring. Three beat it and two stayed the path. Pfft."
The machine crossed his arms and ground his metal teeth.
"Laaaaaaaaaaaaaame..."
