It was odd, not feeling the blow. Tenshi sat there, immobilized as Arc's foot came crashing into the cockpit of Tevedrus. She herself was now pinned against the back by the toe of the titan, and yet, she felt nothing. Was her body that numb with agonizing pain she no longer felt it? Was she so broken, so utterly filled with pain, that this direct assault on her was painless in comparison? She couldn't move, her body refused to. the pain that was already there was ungodly. Her knees, her body, her neck... it was all screaming, screaming for her to give up, for her to admit that she had bitten off more than she could chew. And in a sense, that feeling was right....
No it wasn't!
Somehow, despite the horrible pain, despite the damage she had taken, Tenshi refused to go down. She clenched her fist, so too did Tevedrus. She wasn't going to let this lapdog of Rustred beat her!
She swung her free foot to the side, and the giant earth golem did the same, swiping Arc's feet from under him, the cyborg caught off-guard as it crashed down onto his back. with the toe no longer in the cockpit, Tenshi rose up onto her feet, every muscle wailing and gnashing at her. With the mecha rising up, one hand reached down and grabbed Arc by the throat. Tevedrus hoisted up the cyborg onto it's feet...
then smashed its fist into his head as hard as he could, while letting go at the same time. Arc staggered back disoriented and shaken up by the fierce blow, his skull helmet cracking further from the hit. Tenshi let a broken smile on her face spread, blood dripping from the corners of her mouth. That was much better... now to give Tevedrus a little taste of what she had been withholding from him! The sword of the golem rematerialized in its hands, and Tenshi thrust it downward, back into the earth. The soil and rock quaked and shook, and pillars of earth rose up, only this time, Tevedrus was ontop of the highest one. Red mist began to flow out of Arc, the cyborg seemingly confused by this as it regained its senses. The mist, his life energy, flowed into the sword that was now pointed skyward...
And crimson orbs of destruction flew out and rained down upon the battlefield!
They exploded upon contacting the ground, and Arc found himself being blasted off his feet by one exploding infront of him. The cyborg crashed onto his back once more, as the unearthly attack rained down upon him...

Arc struggled to push himself up as his back was blown apart in tall gouts of violet fluid and flesh. The crimson orbs summoned from his own heart rained down, blasting the sprawled form of the mute warrior with immeasurable power and rocking his crooked arms with such strength that the earth beneath them cratered and his taunt skin split over strained muscles, the bulging masses of meat rupturing like gory volcanoes lodged in his body. Like an airstrike called from the bubbling lakes of hell itself, the spherical red bombs bombarded the fallen cyborg, obliterating his flesh in ugly, ragged patches and revealing the silverish metal bone underneath. The purple blood of the gladiator sprayed up as if to combat the red orbs, colliding with them as they fell and scattering into mist. Although his shielded face did not show it, the silent one was impressed. Not many creature he had come across in all his days under Rustred could respond to the kind of punishment he had dealt Tenshi with such rage, such power, and certainly none as tiny as the bratty Celestial girl. Her determination was considerable, her resolve something he had greatly underestimated. Arc had to admit- he had been wrong. Perhaps there was more to this tiny screaming brat that he had thought.
Perhaps she was more.
But that did not change the fact that he had to crush her.
With a monstrous push that parted his shredded back and pounded solid earth into loose soil, Arc forced his way to his feet, rising against the barrage that shook his world like a war against one. High above, elevated on a pillar of rock and fury, Tenshi widened her eyes. No! That was impossible! Like a monolith heaved to its full height during a savage sandstorm, Arc towered with malice glowing from his black sockets. The ivory-capped warrior marched forward, fewer explosion rolling off his body as he moved towards the earthen column that held Tevedrus at the height of a commercial airliner. His erect form was a far harder target to hit. Like a Roman soldier trampling over conquered ground, the cyborg advanced fearlessly, unfazed by the violence that render his body apart. As Tenshi howled curses and vulgarities at the wordless beast below, the fighter from the stars wrapped his huge limbs around the pillar that Tevedrus stood on and grappled with it. The soil at his feet churned and boiled as the grand pillar teetered and tilted under Arc's power, long cracks streaking up its shape. Tenshi bellowed rueful as she fought to maintain balance. With a final squeeze of his impossible arms, Arc shattered the stone column and sent Tevedrus plummeting. The rock-coated mech plunged towards the ground at a thousand miles her hour, its limbs batting and swiping at the air uselessly and a million tons of rock tumbling after her. A strangled scream could be heard floating from the open cockpit of the machine.
BOOM!
A gray mushroom of dust and ash leapt up, touching the sky at a million feet. Airborne rubble and particulate debris spread out for nearly two miles, a great ring visible on the camera lens of the weaponized satellites that kept watch over the battle. In the center of the ring, at the bottom of a hundred foot crater, peaking out from beneath a huge heap of shattered stone, laid Tevedrus, the Celestial vessel struggling to sit up. Rock and rubble rolled off the machine like dead skin, almost all of his metal endoskeleton revealed as his stony hide deteriorated within a few second. The mech's movements were slow and jerky, like the motions of an old animatronic. Tenshi groaned from inside the cockpit, her head spinning and blood running down her brow in a hot slick. The ears of the dazed Celestial barely registered the tremendous crack that rang through the air, as well as the tall shadow that fell over her crumbling vessel.
Crash!
Balancing a broken stone pillar between his hooked claw and coiled mace, Arc had slammed down one of Tenshi's earth columns like a club over thrice his height! Tevedrus was squashed beneath the great bat along with its pilot, the ground beneath the two torn apart in a long black trench of freshly turned earth, just born topsoil to mark the grave of Tenshi. Arc released the broad pillar, allowing its snapped-off end to fall to the ground at his feet, and reared a chained silver numb. Like a merciless slaver, the cyborg cracked his flail. The spiny hammer crashed down in the middle of the damaged pillar, pushing it further into the earth and breaking its already cracked, spiderwebbed surface. Like a split shell, the heavy column broke into two and rolled apart to reveal a shattered Tevedrus. The divine construct was flattened and naked, only his metal skin left intact, hardly the magnificent machine he had been at the start of the fight.
Rolling his damaged helmet, Arc stepped forward and hooked the mech between in his fingerless limbs. Raising the limp machine high over his head, Rust's Shadow drew back his erect mass and prepared to hurl the manned vessel five-hundred meters away, like a mangled shard of worthless scrap metal...

The once mighty Celestial warmachine smashed into the ground 500 meters away from Arc. The cyborg stood silent, then slowly began to approach the fallen machine. Inside the cockpit of Tevedrus, Tenshi spat out blood as she struggled to rise. She still couldn't feel any pain. That clothesline had murdered her pain receptors, so now she couldn't feel anything.
Wait. If she couldn't feel the pain anymore...
A slightly mischievous smile spread across her face as she forced herself to rise. If she couldn't feel pain anymore... then she now had an advantage. So long as her pain receptors were too overloaded, she could do whatever she damn pleased. "That's it, metalhead. Now you've earned yourself the wrath of the future Queen of Heaven." She spat, her voice coming out like a drunkards. Indeed, it was as if she toke too many blows to the head. Tevedrus charged forward, and Arc did the same as well. THe cyborg brought his hooked hand back and trust it forward...
only for Tevedrus to grab the hand. Moving as one fluid motion, Tevedrus's elbow pushed against Arc's head, pushing it back as its leg came from underneath and swept Arc off his feet due to his destabilized position. The cyborg crashed down onto his back, and within seconds, Tenshi was upon him, the machine she piloted pinning him down while bringing its fists down on the trapped fighter. Blow after blow smashed into Arc's helmet further cracking the helmet and disorienting him. "How do you like that, eh? Not so nice when your on the receiving end!" Tenshi howled at the top of her lungs. After 5 hits, Arc had had enough, and swept Tevedrus off of him with a mace strike to the side. The damaged machine rolled to the side, and with another sword formed in its hands, plunged it into the earth once more...
and this time, what Arc saw would have made most other monsters gap in shock.
It was a stone serpent, one over 300 meters in length that jettisoned up out of the ground. In appearance, it was identical to the one conjured by Persephone in Arc's previous fight, with giant stone fangs primed to pierce his flesh. "Now, I would like to introduce you to mistah Squama." Tenshi slurred out, her tongue rubbing through a gap where some of her teeth had been. "Mistah Squama, meet your new plah toy. Now enjoy." The Celestial commanded, and with a twist of the blade, the earth serpent slithered out of the ground and lunged toward Arc...

The vast serpent of stone and soil lunged down at Arc with its gaping mouth open, striking faster than the cyborg could counter. In a mere second, its fangs had ripped a sixty-meter gash across Arc's torso and draw high back into the air, ready for another go. Another moment later, the blood came. And it came in a mighty spout. A purple geyser leapt from the towering form of the gladiator, the violet spray of life essence soaking the ground at Tevedrus's feet. Arc staggered back after a third second, finally feeling the lightning blow. Hot blood dribbled down his split front like a target for the waiting snake, and "Mistah Squama" did not resist. Rocky fangs banging together to create echoing cackles that rang from its jaws like laughter, the stone serpent lunged again.
But this time, Arc was ready.
Like a warrior of God putting his faith into the Good Lord above, the ivory-capped titan swung out his metal hands without thought. Only heart guided his silvery limbs, a sort of instinct carved from countless battles and wounds- the sense of when exactly to strike. And, like a million times before, it did not fail. Like the blades of an enormous, blunt set of scissors, the arms of Arc smashed into the serpent's head from both directions! The stone snake's skull ceased to exist in a shower of dust and rubble, the crushed remains of his head piling at Arc's feet. Tenshi howled in frustration as she saw her earthen creation die without shedding more blood from the pet of Rustred, but Arc did not intent top let her screams be only in anger.
Grappling the decapitated body of Mister Squama like the earthy whip of Chronos himself, the fighter from the stars hoisted up the stone corpse by its neck and hurled its dead length at Tevedrus!
Tenshi yelped as the chest of her mech was clobbered by the tail of the slain serpent, its hard, pointed end stabbing deep into the metal breast stripped of armor. The bare torso of Tevedrus caved in like a human body struck by a bullet, and Tevedrus was lifted off his feet and sent spinning backwards. The Celestial pilot of the machine grunted as she tumbled head over heels, her back and shoulders battered badly. But she was not considered a master of earth for nothing. As the dented, scuffed feet of Tevedrus hit the ground again, a raised step of earth supported them. The pillar of ground pushed up like a spring, and Tevedrus was flipped from the ground and into an upright position. After a few moment of digging into the earth, the mech stood firmly on its feet. Tenshi let out a triumphant crow that bounced within her exposed cockpit like a gunshot.
Then Arc slammed his helmeted skull into the open cockpit.
The ivory cap that marked Arc's head shattered like glass, sending splinters of its worn surface hurtling towards Tenshi like spears. The young Celestial gaped dully as she was cut by the jagged bone javelins, some deflecting off her skin with bright red marks left in their wake, over nicking her form and spilling unabashed blood, and some actually plunging into her flesh. Two in particular jutted from her shoulder, pushed deep into the armored density of bone and cartilage and out of the other side. Tevedrus, its head crumpling and its brow now inverted, simply collapsed, dropping onto its knees without protest. Arc, his naked skull revealed to the world, opened his jaws in what might have been a bellow if the transactions of alien tormenters could be undone. Pus and illness squirted from the raw muscle and meat that stretched over his great head. The silent warrior raised both arms high over his head and clenched, his whole body swelling with power as his muscles bunched. Then the warrior swung down.
BOOM!
The ground beneath Tevedrus vanished into a sprawling brown mushroom cloud as Arc's arms met its shoulder with every inch of power the gladiator could muster behind them. The silvery shoulders crumpled under the force, becoming pits in the great machine's hull. The damaged midriff of the mech practically fused together, the twisted vulnerability of its waist molded into a shapeless lump of metal in the center of the machine's figure, a knot in the hourglass. The buckled, broken knees of the thing were sunk nearly twenty meters into the earth, locking its limp form upright.
Sliding his inhuman hands from the crushed shoulders of the machine and letting them fall, Arc tilted his head, trying to sense if Tenshi was still alive. He believed her to be, but couldn't be sure. The dying groans of metal and blinding swirl of dust filled the air. Placing a foot against the ruined shell of his foe, Arc merely pushed forward to send the mangled mech onto its back so that he could more thoroughly inspect its condition and confirm the status of its pilot...

As the foot came near, the hand of the machine grabbed it, shocking the silent warrior. The grip on it tightened, and Tevedrus yanked back, causing Arc to fall forward...
Where Tevedrus's other hand came in and nailed Arc in the skull. The flesh of the cyborg splintered and bleed as he was thrown back from the hit. Yet he wouldn't go down so easily, for as he fell, he threw his flail forward. The weapon of destruction smashed into Tevedrus's upper body, and due to it's stuck position, it arched back, the metal on the chest bending and shreading from the hit....
Then flung forward in recoil, hurling the pilot of the machine out onto the grassy plain.
"Owwwwww..." Tenshi grumbled as she flopped around on the savannah floor. She was out of the mecha, exposed, with shards of Arc's helmet speared through her shoulder. This was bad... she was in a very bad position here... Out of the mecha, Tevedrus stuck in the ground, near useless...
No, she still had one last thing she could do, even in this state... Her Magnum Opus. Even when outside of the mecha, she could still control it. Steel afterall was just tampered earth...
Her sword in her hands, she let go of it. The sword hung in the air for a while, then the life energy of Arc began to fly past it, toward the earthen sword that was likewise floating from Tevedrus's hands. The swords spun around as the energy formed around them, gathering as Arc rose from his position...
And then, all that life energy was fired right back, as a gigantic scarlet beam of destruction.
Arc had no time to react as the beam engulfed him. As the very land around him was torn apart, he vanished within the brilliant light as it carved a path of destruction across the savannah, before fading away. As the smoke and flames receeded, Arc lay 2 miles away on the ground, his head charred and burnt, flesh and hide missing from him, and his body in flames. It was a devastating attack to say the least, and it was something that Tenshi prided herself in.
"Let's shee you get up from phat, you bucket of shi-" She couldn't even finish the statement as she collapsed onto her back, her body too exhausted and burnt of energy to continue. Likewise, the earthen sword crumbled, and Tevedrus's upright body fell backwards, awaiting the call of the ref...

As Tenshi lay bleeding on the field, the booming voice of the announcer came over the field.
"Attention combatants, cease fighting! The winner is ARC!"
The reason being that while Tevedrus was tough and could dish out a lot of hurt, the machine's armor gave way easily to Arc's physical damage output, and the fact that Tenshi was exposed and wailed up did not help matters in the slightest. Had Tenshi not been exposed like she was, she might have won.
"Return to your quarters immediately."

Tenshi couldn't hear the announcement. her ears were filled with blood, and her vision was blurry. "Mommy, can I have a reese's sandwich and milk?" She moaned, as she and the mecha were transported away from the fight for repairs....
OOC: Ugh... that was painful. Arc just hits way too hard... I didn't even think Tenshi getting damage on her would be a factor, just damage on the mecha... oh well. One painful fight with Hayes done, and another one halfway finished.

Arc nodded his naked skull in agreement with the announcement, knowing that he had won the day as an aged warrior of a billion battles. But even as he bobbed his bleeding head, his hooked arm slammed into his chest, producing a meaty thump. It was his sign of respect to the little Celestial girl who simply would not give up. Perhaps she had not triumphed here today, but she had displayed a tenacity that Arc rarely encountered and always appreciated.
She showed the spirit of a warrior, the will to never give in- the same bone-gnashing, blood-spilling determination that had freed Arc from his life as a captive weapon nearly 200 years ago. Even if Rustred had wanted her schooled, Arc hoped that she would continued her dogged battle against the world.
Maybe one day she would win.
The ivory-capped titan vanished under a flash of alien light.
