The savanna grasses swayed with a gentle breeze as a bright light came from the heavens. When it faded, there stood a behemoth, one that appeared at first to be made of solid rock and earth. Yet beneath the rocky exterior was a mecha of the highest grade steel, a warmachine from the heavens. In the large cockpit located in the half mecha, half golem creation, Tenshi stood, red energy wisps connecting her arms and legs to the walls. She adopted a fighting stance, the mecha doing so likewise. Good. Everything was working properly. Tenshi snickered. Yes. It was time to show the UCA the true military power and might of the Celestials.
Tevedrus was ready for battle.

The sky parted again, and alien light touched the earth like golden fire. Purple bolts of fury leapt from the dazzling beam as it touched down, their crackling anger scorching the grassy ground black. A towering ivory-capped form faded into existence as the bright cascade died, the purple lightning bolts that ravaged the flat land connected at his metal-toed feet.
Electricity shot from Arc's black sockets as he stepped forward, the savannah shuddering under his footfall. Catching sight of the readied construct of rock and metal, the cyborg titled back his shielded head. Slowly, lightning threading down the flexing muscles and molted hide that composed it, the hooked limb of the gladiator rose up and leveled itself on Tevedrus like a firm promise of destruction. An oath, one that swore him to destroy the mineral machine and humble its pilot, even if that meant twisting both of them into nothing but rubble.
Rustred had once again assigned him a target to crush. First he had toppled the smug demon woman Persephone.
Now the arrogant brat Tenshi.

"Oh, so the fleshy rust-bucket came by to play after all" Tenshi sneered as she cracked her fingers, the giant earth golem doing so likewise. "Tell me, are you too stupid to realize how your end comes? That you are but a blind meat dog to scrap metal?"
Arc only responded with hurling his chain right at Tevedrus. the flail at the end nailed the golem in the face, sending rock and dirt flying as it staggered back. Tenshi herself reached up a hand to rub her face. Ouch... that hurt. WHatever Tevedrus felt, so did she... this was going to be painful, but worth it.
As Arc tried to reel back in the flail, Tevedrus grabbed the edge of it, and yanked hard. Arc flung forward, and landed right at the base of the golem's feet. A powerful fist came smashing down onto the top of Arc's head, shovin ghis face further into the dirt and cracking the back of his skull helmet, before Tevedrus picked up the gladiator by his neck. "Useless... completely useless." Tenshi laughed as she had the mecha smash Arc back into the ground. The foot of the golem lifted up, and came down upon Arc's head once, then again, and then again. 5 times the foot came down, sending up a plume of dirt each time. After the fifth time, the golem crouched down and leapt into the air, coming down to bodyslam Arc...

Like an animate mountain of flesh and bone, Arc rolled onto his back and crooked his right leg, the long, curved spike that rose from his knee stabbing into the air like a crooked spear. Tevedrus came down like an earthen meteor, his rock-coated body smashing into Arc and cratering the soft savanna soil. Dirt and grass erupted in every direction as the alien cyborg and the earth mech depressed into the ground, solid land becoming nothing under their combined mass, but a muffled shriek came from within the obsidian cockpit of Tevedrus. The spike on Arc's knee had pierced just left of the Celestial construct's groin, and Tenshi writhed within, a burning pain shot through her thigh. Tevedrus- connected body and soul to the girl- writhed in response, and his stone body wriggled right off of Arc, allowing the towering creature to rise straight up like an ivory-topped spire.
A metallic bend hooked around the warmachine's neck, the silvery curve angling itself and digging into the rocky skin of the machine. Tenshi gurgled as she felt the sensation of hot, sickly ichor washing over her throat. When she touched there, it was dry.
Heaving the larger, heavier destroyer to his knotted knees, Arc peered into the glossy black face of the mech, shielded head titling quizzically. The sharp ears of the gladiator could hear Tenshi's screams, and his shaded eyes could even make out her blurred form through the thick glass panel that protected her. So there was the one he needed to humble. Purple orbs swept over the mountainous shape of Tevedrus with indifference. This thing was in the way. Lips curling under his trophy skull, Arc rocked back his head, and then rocketed the helmeted cranium forward like a bone-white boxing glove. Tenshi snarled in anger as the jagged black sea before her cracked and splintered, small shards shooting out and slicing her skin, but not quite breaking. A terrible pain split her skull though, and she drew back with a hiss, spitting hatred and curses at the attacking scalp.
As Tevedrus stumbled away under the influence of its pilot's agony, rock and dirt falling away from its crowned head like broken hide, cosmic alloy shining from underneath, Arc stepped forward sharply and gave his flail a flick, sending the dented metal pine cone launching at the face of the mech again, to finish the job and expose Tenshi. This thing, this tool, was not his target.
She was.

The mace flew right at the Celstial construct... but it never reached the face. Twin hands grabbed it flail, and threw it back at Arc! The cyborg was smashed in the chest area by his own weapon, tumbling backward. Tesnhi was quick to take advantage of this situation, and propelling herself forward, had the giant earthen mecha slam into Arc, knocking him onto his back, the sheer bulk of Tevedrus crushing down on him. Inside the cockpit, Tenshi laughed despite the pain she felt. She was used to pain like this. Even among the otherwise near unkillable Celestials, she was known as something of a masiochist, which while not true, did reflect on his much she could take. So this thing was more than just dumb muscle... No matter. Though this was her first time actually piloting Tevedrus (Not that she would dare admit it. She perfered everyone thinking of her as an ace pilot), she had fought many, many times, and knew how to fight and react to pain. Even when those foes had been Death Gods like Crigan who had come for her soul, she had easilly beaten them back and defeated them.
Arc would be no different. She was just going to need her specialty if she really wanted to give that ragged bucket of bolts a look of worry and fear as his precious Arc was beaten to a bloody pulp.
Once again, her thoughts were cut short as Arc's hooked hand sliced into Tevedrus's flank, sending pain up Tenshi's thigh. Tevedrus backed up as Arc slowly rose up. The silent gladiator lunged forward, swinging his hook once more. This time, Tevedrus parried the blow off its arm, though it still caused rock chips to come off and blood to cut off Tenshi's arm where it had hit, and kicked Arc back in the chest, the force of the blow sending Arc tumbling onto his back. Wasting no time, Tenshi put both her hands forward as curled fists connected to one another. Tevedrus copied the animation, and as Tenshi and the mecha parted the hands, a sword enveloped within Tevedrus's hands. It was a giant blade that glowed with fiery energy. The steel curve of the blade was visible through the fire that warped around it. Like a true swordsman, Tevedrus thrust the blade at the recovering Arc, aiming for his face...

The infernal blade carved through the sky like a fiery lash, the whip of Satan, but Arc did something unexpected. Instead of drawing his helmeted face away from the thrust, out of danger, the stoic giant pushed his head towards the sword. His covered skull twisting to the side and his purple-lined maw opening a tiny slip, the alien cyborg allowed the blade to pass through his cracked jaws. Then, he bit down! Rounded metal teeth screeched against heavenly alloy, and the ivory daggers embedded in his trophy skull cracked and splintered as Arc pressed down, holding the blade fast. The blazing aurora of the weapon scorched his gums and pallet, but Arc paid little mind to the pain as he reared to his feet, the blade dragged with him. Tenshi could be heard howling angrily as her earthen avatar heaved and pulled at the sword, the soft soil shredding beneath Tevedrus's pillar-like legs. Sparks and scratches appeared along the blade, the divine metal cast into imperfection, but it did not move otherwise. It was held in a grip like iron between Arc's teeth, unmoving, sheathed in the blackened tissue of the cyborg's gullet. Ash and blood fell from the maw of Rust's Shadow as he swung out with his bladed arm!
Tevedrus was catapulted back as if yanked by a tether, the stone casing on its chest shattered and the bright metal beneath revealed. Tenshi winced as she felt the agony of a crushed ribcage, a burning fire flared between her breasts. As the pain swelled, threatening to burst from her chest as a scream, the Celestial lost form and allowed her machine to collapse. Like a slain tree of a hundred thousand years, Tevedrus fell. The flat, grassy earth bloomed into obliterated soil beneath it as it cratered the savannah. The torso of the war machine was dented and crushed, as if a kaiju-sized train had careened into it. Much of the rock had crumbled away, an even broader swatch of silver exposed to the alien air. Arc cocked his head at this, his black sockets flashing. Metal. There was metal beneath this stone. Lighting crackled from his curled foot and spiked knee. Good. That would make this far easier. Stone could be melted with enough heat, but metal could be surged effortlessly. This suit, this costume, would be fried off from around the arrogant little brat!
Like a hunter claiming his kill, Arc raised up his flashing leg and slammed it down atop the fallen form of Tevedrus.
The damaged chest of the mech screeched inwards as Arc's brutal heel crushed into it, the metal dipping down easily as the rock exploded up in a cloud of shattered shards. The power swirling from the metal bone of the warrior leapt into Tevedrus, entering the true metal form of the machine and swimming beneath its rock armor like cosmic currents. The mech went stiff as its pilot, limbs splayed out and spasming. Chuck of stone launched off the titan like tiny, smoking meteors, and electricity rose up underneath. The jagged purple bolts that escaped the machine as its earthen armor evaporated hooked back into Arc, his towering form drawing in their power like a bulky lightning rod. As the metal-under-stone creature burned, the wordless warrior cracked his right arm, sending the spiky pine cone-like flail that tipped it into a broad loop. The thorny flail circled through the air, dirty and dented, until it came smashing down into the abdomen of Tevedrus and sunk deep into the machine. The damaged stone covering and hot metal shell of the mech gave way with little struggle, allowing the mace to strike deep and drink in the electricity flowing through the Celestial construct. Tenshi huffed hoarsely as she felt a spike of pain pierce her midriff. If her white flesh had been the true victim, she would have been flayed wide open.
Taking his foot off the twitching mech sprawled in his shadow and allowing it to crumple limply, the Knight of the Savior drew back his five-digited foot and kicked forward sharply, aiming to cripple the earthen brute's side and send it flying...

Tenshi winced as the kick nailed the mecha in the side, her own side feeling as if it had been slashed apart. Tevedrus flew through the air and landed in a heap. Arc slowly advanced, his hooked hand running across the chain of his flail as if sharpening it. He stopped once he met the still figure of the mecha. It was as if it was dead already. Arc's face was expressionless as he stood there. Was he waiting for his foe to rise? Or pitying how pathetic a fight the earthen mecha had given him? Or was he wishing that his mission had already ended so soon? Nobody knew...
Meanwhile, Tenshi gasped for air as she tried to regain control. The hell had just happened? Tevedrus was meant to be impervious to electricity, and yet... it had just been sapped like a giant battery. She was hurting everywhere. It was hard for her to concentrate with this pain. No, she had gone through worse before. She had come out of that alive. She could handle Arc as well.
Without warning, Tevedrus's hand shot out and grabbed Arc's ankle. With a swift and powerful yank, the cyborg was sent toppling onto his back as his own foot was pulled out from under him. As he fell, Tevedrus pulled itself back up, Arc's ankle still in its grip. The mecha hoisted it high, yanking Arc off the ground...
Before slamming him back down. Twice, Thrice, 4 times this was repeated, the back of the cyborg getting bashed into the earth each time. On the final time, Tevedrus let go. Tenshi grinned despite the pain. "You honestly thought that little trick could take me down? I have a surprise for you, tincan. I got tricks of my own!" She announced as the sword in Tevedrus's hand plunged into the earth. The ground began to quake instantly, and a jagged long tear opened up beneath Arc! The Cyborg fell into the crack until he became stuck 50 meters down. He tried to free himself, but his position gave him little room to move. The sides of his hide were slashed into by the sharp rocks within the crack, spilling his blood out.
"Earth Manipulation. That's what I do best, asie from weather manipulation as well." Tenshi boasted as she and Tevedrus looked down at the stuck form of Arc. "Have fun trying to get out of there, especially as you get your acupuncture done, Skullhead." Here, she gave the sword in the ground a twist, and several jagged, sharpened earth spires shot out of the ravine walls above Arc, all aiming down at him...

The ivory-capped warrior, too busy hitting himself in his stupid, STUPID head for unfairly screwing over his opponent, was skewered by the spears of hardened earth. His rubbery hide stretched like the surface of a molted green trampoline, then broke with a grand display of tall purple geysers. Arc leaned his head back and cracked over his metal-studded jaw as his violet blood soaked the walls of rock and soil surrounding him, stone points scrapping against his metallic bones. The echoes of Tenshi's laughter reach him from above, and the shaded eyes of the cyborg flashed within their black sockets.
The silent brute straightened his arms, shattering the cliff faces pressing down on him. His limbs became javelins of electricity that pierced the earth, purple might crackling up and down the walls of his collapsed prison. The sky above swelled with dark clouds, the electrons high above stimulated by the immense charge Arc was generating from his living grave. As the grand crevice continued to crack and pop with lightning, stray bolts thrown up and scorching grass black, the heavens bulged and churned more violently, clear skies becoming an ominous blanket of thunderheads. The excited electrons in the rumbling clouds became looser and turned to quick, jagged lines like grasping blue arms. Soon, the sky was crackling and popping with the same power that Arc was, albeit in a lighter hue. Before long, the poles of two negative voltage were bound to make a connection...
CRRRRRRAAA-BOOM!
The space between sky and earth became a brilliant spike of lightning that set the savannah ablaze and scattered soft earth!
His earthy tomb obliterated by the lightning strike conjured by his own electric prowess, Arc floated up slowly, elevated on numerous jagged legs of electricity that wrapped around him in a loose orb, a vehicle that was merely an incomplete incarnation of his infamous 'Lightning Meteor.' The cyborg from the stars set down on what remained of the earth- a field of blackened craters, burned vegetation, and blasted soil. His metal toes crushed the ground he set alight on, the charred topsoil collapsing easily under his girth. Each step he took fell with a soft crunch.
The wordless creature expected to find Tenshi a fried corpse in the melted center of her machine, but was instead greeted by a slash of the bratty young Celestial's sword to his jaw. The surprised titan rocked back, not quite falling, but swaying, like a tree on the first swing of an axe. Blood squirted from his gouged jawline, where a gleam of metal peaked from behind flesh.
"That was really bright, Metalguts!" Tenshi snarled. Tevedrus- who was otherwise completely unaffected by the monstrous light show that had just occurred- rubbed his eyes in an imitation of his mistress. "Hurt my eyes."
Arc, although in spiteful shock much like a moment in his encounter with Persephone, reacted quickly, taking advantage of Tenshi's sore eyes and swinging his hooked hand low. His curved club of metal crashed across the knotted knees of Tevedrus, making them crack and buckling like struck mountains. The cyborg heard a muffled scream leak out from the cracked face plate of the mech. He knew the kneecaps were one of the most painful points of the body to violate. They might be tough, but they hurt when they were good and truly damaged and were used almost constantly in combat. If you were fighting, you were moving. And if you were moving with damaged kneecaps, you felt it. The pain would weight Tenshi down some, slow her construct's movement.
Catapulting his enormous mass forward, crunching the dry earth beneath his feet, Arc slammed his girth into Tevedrus. The machine's dented metal chest screeched and his craggy shoulders crumbled and broke. The ivory helmet of Rust's Shadow collided with the splintered cockpit of the warmachine, shattering it. Tenshi yelped as tremendous planes of black glass crashed down on all sides of her, her own wide-eyed reflection cast all around in the gloss of the great shards. Stumbling back, Tevedrus's foot slipped into a charred crater and the machine collapsed, its mass sinking deep into the burned grassland as it laid splayed and damaged. Tenshi snarled and cursed as she was nearly impaled by a twenty-foot obsidian dagger, only her terrakinetic abilities saving her from being sliced in two. With a shout on anger, the earth manipulator launched all the volcanic glass from her open cockpit, the black shards flying from the head of Tevedrus as if the mech was vomiting after such a hard blow.
Arc, deciding to show off a little earth manipulation of his own, stepped forward and stomped a curled-toed foot down hard in front of the sprawled machine. The dead earth, dried by the vast lightningbolt that had scoured the savanna, pushed in and broke, a tall plate of its dried crust rising up with Tevedrus on it. The earthen mech slid forward, feet falling into an empty gap in the earth. His foe anchored and unable to free herself quickly, Arc brought a hooked hammer down on top of the mech's head. The rocky crown of the machine vanished in a gritty cloud and its entire frame jolted down at once, all the motion traveling directly to its trapped legs. Its head pressed to the side and its feet stationary, Tevedrus nearly snapped in two at the knees, chunks of broken stone flying off the twisted joints as they bend in an unnatural way. Tenshi howled within the thing, her pounding knee caps ablaze with white-hot agony.
Uncompassionate to his foe's suffering, Arc only lifted his foot up and kicked forward, hoping that the raised plate of hardened earth would fall back into place and crush Tevedrus's ankles at the same he kicked the machine in the chest, adding more damage to the mangled legs of the earthen construct...

The earth, however, was at the control of Tenshi, and not Arc, as the cyborg realized only too late as the ground beneath him jutted up abruptly, propelling him up into the sky hundreds of meters. The entire thing having occurred so abruptly, he hadn't been able to react as he smashed head first into the earth, a large plume of dust rising up from the impact. Tenshi gritted her teeth as she finally freed herself. That was a very cheap tactic, attacking her knees.... Never had any foe she gone up against tried that on her, and now she was feeling the horrible pain. Every step felt like a giant rusty saw stabbing into her kneecaps, but if she was going to win this fight, she would have to bear with it.
Her line of sight returning to her, she saw the damage that had been done to the cockpit. Now she was exposed, with nothing protecting her from Arc... Yet on the other hand...
A powerful jolt of pain spiked up Tenshi's legs as Tevedrus stumbled back. Arc, having recovered from the fall and now sporting an even more cracked helmet, had smashed his flail into the mecha's kneecaps. Tenshi gasped as she withstood the horrible pain. Raising the sword in its hands, Tevedrus plunged it back into the earth, and all around Arc, stone pillars erupted out, forming a cage around him. The top of the pillars began to crack, and split apart, forming stoney daggers that were rained down on the cyborg! The pillars were being used to fuel the death from above! Arc was bombarded with them, some plunging into his hide, others bouncing off his more metallic body parts. blood was spilled from his hide as the cyborg tried to stop the assault, his flail crashing into the pillars one by one as he destroyed them. But this only worsened it, as those remains also bombarded him. one particularly large chunk smashing into his kneecaps.
Suddenly, it all stopped. Arc turned, and saw, in the cockpit of Tevedrus, Tenshi sporting the largest grin he had seen on any human. "You thought it was funny ruining my knees? Why don't we equalize the equation, Hookhand?" She shouted...
and then, pain began to fill Arc's world. His knees were now being bombarded with large rock fragments. From all sides, they came, and though he tried to fend them off, he was ultimately helpless as his knees were bashed and battered by the boulders and rocky spears. Then, as soon as it began, it was over. Arc stumbled back, silent eyes glaring at Tenshi. His tough and muscular hide had protected him from most damage, but his knees didn't have such muscle to protect him, and they were now bruised and beaten. He saw Tevedrus's sword twist in the earth once more, and a giant stoney pillar, sharpened to near perfection at the end, launch out of the ground right for him....

The vast earthen spear plunged into Arc's stomach, rendering rubberlike flesh and bulging muscle into purple liquid gore. The helmeted one rocked back like a struck pole, quivering, but not falling or tilting. Thick, gooey, bubbling strands of blood and thin slivers of fleshy tissue dribbled from beneath his skull, out of his jaws and gums. Similar violet drizzles squirted out and soaked the ground from his mangled kneecaps and gut, where the stone weapons of Tenshi still stood, jutting out of Arc like rock quills. The arrogant Celestial cackled at the sight, her shrill laughter filling the air as she wished that he could scream to better entertain her, but Arc was not nearly as amused by the girl's vengeful assault. Slowly, his covered head shook.
Sloppy. Just sloppy.
Flail looping around the blood-smeared pillar in his midriff and hooked arm sparking against its tapering edge, Arc gave a single flex of his monstrous bulk. The great stone javelin surrender its integrity and snapped in half like a twig.
Heaving the broken spear up like a baseball bat, the ivory-capped warrior swung!
Tenshi seized the object in her terrakinesis, her laughter becoming a rhythmic snarl, but Arc did not let her mind overcome his mass. Both foes, one tiny and powerful through mental manipulation, the other huge and direct in nature, battled against each other- testing wills, matching metals. The Celestial taunted and teased as she pushed with her spoiled mind, determined not to be shown up. Arc stayed- as always- silent as death, his bunching body doing the all talking as he strained against the mental force thrown up by his miniature foe. His skin ruptured and tore as he pushed, body ripped apart by its own strength.
Although each fought tooth-and-nail to win the small battle within the larger war, it would be the rock pillar that gave in, not one of the fierce rivals. With a burst of dust and rubble, the stone spear ceased existing, obliterated between the two massive forces that pressed in on it. Arc and Tevedrus both stumbled forward, plunging into the dust cloud that remained of the ruined rock column. Blood sprayed from Arc's knees as he staggered, and Tenshi gave a sharp yelp with each heavy step her machine took. The rivals nearly butted heads, but Arc acted fast and slammed a metal heel into the soft earth.
Boom!
Like a flesh-coated hammer, the knee of the giant- dripping with blood and skewered by stone shards that stuck out like spines- lifted up and collided with Tevedrus!
Boom! Boom, boom!
Then again! And again and again!
The machine flew back, nearly launched off its feet, blood and rubble trailing from a broad crater in its waist area. Tenshi howled as she felt the agony driven into her middle by the stony fragments she herself had imbedded in the cyborg beast. Arc made a quick march forward, electricity blazing from his metal skeleton and vaporizing the rocks stabbed into his dermal tissue. Like a great living monolith, the alien warrior reached out with his curled blade and slashed Tevedrus, curved silver bone of his left arm harpooning into the exposed metal breastplate of the mech. Tenshi barely had time to shriek as she was dragged off her feet through her earthen vessel and thrown back, the mass of Tevedrus easily catapulted by the breathing tower of musculature that was Arc. The mech flew towards the ground spread eagle, chest split open like it had been struck by a kaiju-sized axe, but a metal spitting serpent suddenly coiled around its ankles.
Trampling the earth as he yanked back hard on his flail, Arc swung his hooked limb forward with the momentum of a billion locomotives. As Tevedrus was reeled in like a netted fish, legs tangled in electrified chain, its airborne girth collided with Arc's arm.
With a earth-shaking, armor-peeling, stone-blasting CRASH!, Rust's Shadow delivered the biggest clothesline known to sentient life!
Tevedrus flopped back to the ground with little more than a metallic moan, the earthen mech nearly twisted in half by the world's most brutal blow. Tenshi couldn't scream or mock or insult, she could only gasp and choke as she tried to fill her emptied lungs. As she heaved, she hurt. The mere act of breathing racked her abdomen with a agony unlike any other. White-hot and complete in its torment. Sharp and overwhelming. Fast inflating like a maddening balloon of distress. It was the sort of stubborn, swelling pain that made men and monster go insane and pray for death. It felt as if she should be ripped in two, her legs numb and her spine sore. As the girl regained her shaky breath, a shadow fell over the cockpit, swallowing her in fluid blackness.
Flicking a pointed metal toe upward, Arc gave his head a quick shake and threw a hard heel at the open cockpit of Tevedrus...
