Now, we all like to take pride in that which we find to be the best of, and this naturally extends to characters as well. We love who is the most badass, who has the deepest history, and who is the most fun to use... but then there are the characters which make us groan and wonder, "Why did I even bother making them?" There are those that we hate to admit, but they are unoriginal, plagerized, or copy and pasted from another source. These, are The Worst of Your Roster! Please note, these are not characters that you hate, but those that you admit are very sub-par for your work. No need to be shy, feel free to admit the skeletons in your closet. Worst History: Gulodus. I will admit, I made him on the fly with no prior history whatsoever. While the rest of my characters have highly convoluted histories that would take years to untangle, Gulodus's is basically the last surviving kaiju in my verse whose been taken as a pet by the De Facto leader of Former Hell. THat's it. Worst Design: Otalsys. He's a giant worm. That's it. Just a giant glorified worm... One with giant fangs and blue eyes... but still a giant worm. Not exactly something that screams terror. Least Original: Time to address the elephant in the closet. This doesn't go to Crigan, who actualyl has a unique history and personality, but to the Touhou characters I copied and pasted with very little change. This moreso goes to those that aren't fighters here, because Yuuka and Utsuho atleast have original monstrous forms somewhat. They are an important role in my verse... but they are 100% NOT original, and a sizable chunk of my cast is composed of them. This more or less has to do with me being far more comftorable with doing fanfiction, and Touhou Fanfiction at that, as well as making up a very sizable portion of my verse... and you all thought Crigan was unoriginal for being a glorified Giratina Worst Personality: Tie between Gulodus and Otalsys. The former is just a walking stomach that acts, and behaves like any normal animal, and the latter simply follows orders to the letter and otherwise acts very animalistic. Special mention goes to Tenshi, who gives Thresher a run for his money in the jerkass contest, if not outdoes him... minus any noticable heroic aspect in her. Least Badass: Gulodus, yet again. In a verse that is filled with uber-powerful beings and death gods, you have... a giant bear kaiju. Atleast Crigan has feats under his belt despite him being horribly outclasses by what he's up against. Gulodus... doesn't. It's sorta hard for a bear armadillo kaiju to be a badass when he's just a pet, and one of the other pets is lightyears mor epowerful than he is (coughUtsuhocough)

Worst History: Leviathan While I've long since deleted and changed it, some of you might have read Leviathan's history back when he first came here. The ORIGINAL one, which somehow involved Destoroyah's soul surviving from its fight with Godzilla for some bullshit reason. Ugh... why in the holy mother of fuck did I do that? Of course, that's been changed since. Leviathan now has a MUCH more original and well put together history. Worst Design: Baragon Some of you may remember that Baragon of mine that I made back when I first joined. Luckily, he didn't last long, and has since been permanently retired. Again... why the fucking hell did I do that? Worst Personality: Abaddon He's got a bad case of schizophrenia, and neither side of his personality are well developed. He's either a loyal machine that follows orders, or he's " ARRRGHH!!! BLAAAR!!! I BREAK THINGS!!! AND I'M EVIL!!! BLAAAAAARGH!!!" Admittingly, Leviathan doesn't seem to have the most well developed personality either, though in HIS case, there's an actual reason for it. What it is... I'm not giving that away just yet. Least Original:Baragon, Razin, and Balkzardan, which was the reason I retired them. Again, I don't know what the hell I was thinking. Least Badass: Chimbwi This was purposely done. Chimbwi isn't supposed to be badass. He's a tribute to my dog for pete's sake, who sadly passed away last year. So Chimbwi was created in memory of him.

... but then there are the characters which make us groan and wonder, "Why did I even bother making them?" Not this guy! I love all my creation. I am an admitted monster hoarder. Plus, if I find something I don't like, I can always change it. That's the beauty of such loose fiction. It's not official or published. It's malleable. Least Original:Baragon, Razin, and Balkzardan... I liked her. Worst History:Plume and Photon don't have much history at all, but sometimes I worry that Quetzar's past is too typical. Not only is it foggy in my own head, but the whole "all my people are dead and I couldn't do anything about it, and then my bitter friend betrayed me"-thing is pretty abused. It just feels like it was all done before. Hopefully, when I get around to properly creating Yabdrillsk, I can remedy that. Worst Design:Either Plume or Quetzar. Quetzy looks cool, yeah, but he's basically a stylized version of Quetzalcoatl. Flying serpents have been done plenty. And Plume is nothing more than a humanoid lizard. Least Original:Photon. I like 'im a lot, but he's basically the sum of a Zangoose's body, a knight/Predator's chivalry, and undefined Shego-esque powers. He's a Frankenstein made from a bunch of different parts. Worst Personality:Plume or Drakia, because they have basic 'animal' personalities. Draks is a wild cat or wolf, Plume is a dog. Although, Draks is a bit defined by being untrusting in a very humans way, and capable of having her trust earned. That's different, I think. And Plume has his exaggerated human fantasies. Not many monsters imitate martial art movies. Least Badass:Probably Plume, although this is mostly because he's a silly, 'cheesy' fighter. Sid is too, to a certain extent, but there's definitely badass in his bones. No non-badass would take on monsters twice his size and win.

Worst History: Definitely Niiro/ Haiiro Kisaki. Their backstory is LITERALLY just "UCA went to minegarde. Kidnapped a Lao Shan to use in the arena".
Worst Design: Gorgo. He's.... gorgo. And that's it. No changes, no innovations- nothing.
Least Original: This is a tie between Gorgo and Ontslaan. Gorgo, as stated earlier, is literally just Gorgo. Sure, he has some liberties taken on his characte and personality, but otherwise, there is NOTHING unique about him. Ontslaan is a similar story- she was inspired by the Lambent Berserker from Gears of War 3. And she is pretty much the same in every aspect now other than appearence, where I gave her some minor changes.
Worst Personality: Ontslaan, hands down. Like Abaddon, she's basically, "RAWR CRUSH BREAK SMASH HIT THINGS".
Least Badass: Tel Megiddo. A complete and utter pussy in terms of actual, physical strength. That's not to say he isn't a fearsome foe- he can put up a damn good fight, as Photon saw. But he is no badass warrior, and often relies on downright dirty tactics to win.

Worst History: Neo-Spacegodzilla. He's Spacegodzilla from the movie. Only difference is the ending of the movie is slightly altered so that the glowing particles rising from SG's body weren't destroyed by the fire. The particles then landed and he reformed on the moon, where he spent several years recovering and getting stronger.
Worst Design: Neo-Spacegodzilla. He's just Spacegodzilla with longer and sharper crystals.
Least Original: Neo-Spacegodzilla. See above two entries.
Worst Personality: Sauropede. He doesn't really have much of a personality. He's just a kaiju-sized Sauropod.
Least Badass: I'm half-tempted to say Tortonne, since under normal circumstances he's completely peaceful. He'd do nothing but eat and sleep 24/7 if left to his own devices. BUT in the event that someone does manage to raise his ire, he turns into a massive badass easily on par with the likes of Rosie. So I guess Heavyclaws fits the bill then. He's too much of a goofball to be a proper badass.

Worst History: For here at the UCA, I’m giving this “award” to Gorgs. I love Gorgs, but he’s your standard man-made monster running amok.
Worst Design: Darklore. I LOVE my creation, don’t get me wrong. But Darklore is as about as generic as an evil bad guy can get. Black, skeletal, and bad.
Least Original: Yamatano. Can we say “King Ghidorah with arms, one tail, and five heads?”
Worst Personality: Gorgs. “ROAR! I EAT YOU!”
Least Badass: Captain Toxic. He still needs work in his character and he isn’t coming across as the charismatic, care-free badass that I was hoping for…

Oy I am hard with these little things. Lets see what I can do.
Worst History Probably Rektor. He is a random space vampire that eats energy, and other then that, he virutally ahs no history at all.
Worst Design Gustave. He is a giant bipedal croc... and we got tons of those. Ya he looks okay, but one too many of these guys exist.
Least Original Sadly, Vastrato. Again, so many croc kaiju. In fact, Vastrato is unintentionally very similar to Suchodon, and ever since has been that way.. not that I regret it. The two make an ice couple.
Worst Personality This one is very hard. Vastraot has personality, but its a confusing one. She's lazy, yet easy to anger... she is badass, yet sympathetic toward humans. She is very complicated. But there is also Phenoraixa. He is the general good-guy, and always tries to be good, the hero, tries to be perfect. And because of this I feel he comes off a tad obnoxious and annoying. Thor is similar, but he lives for the thrill of fighting and nothing more, more or less. UP IN THE AIR
Least Badass This one I can't decide on either. All the monsters I introduced to the UCA are often badass. But I suppose down to it, Gustave may be the one due to the fact he is only an enemy of mankind as opposed to being badass. To humans, yes, but I imagine to any other species of anything flat out, he can get along with. So, may be Gustave.

Worst History: The Nucleaphage. Where the f*** did he come from? What's his motivation? Why does he like riddles? I don't know, and I'm the one who made him.
Worst design: Formerly Xena, as she was just a giant xenomorph, which is pretty damn lazy, but now Scourge. Because I have no solid idea of what he looks like beyond "scary robot chest turbine shoulder cannons"
Least original: Beelzebub. Demons are pretty cliched. Oh sure, I mixed it up a bit, but you could scale him down and paste him into pretty much anything involving the demonic or unholy, and he'd fit.
Worst personality: Scourge. Can be summed up with "Much evil. Many scare."
Least badass: All of my monsters are fairly ferocious fighters. Huh. Cerataurus? She's the lowest on the totem as far as actual power goes, though she's willing to kill a bitch with extreme prejudice if necessary and she probably wouldn't be the first of my monsters to die in an all out fight to the death. So I suppose her "un-badassness" is a technicality.

Lawl, did I really try to explain away Old Leviathan's lack of a personality back then? XD "Oh, I'll explain that later, herp a derp!" The Old Leviathan sucked as a character. I'm saying that right now. I never realized back then of course, but now? Ooh boy. He definitely gets Worst Personality. Course, Abaddon was never particularly deep, but the difference is he was never meant to be. He's either a cold, order following machine or an animalistic monster of metal. Leviathan was supposed to be my "big bad" back then. I had no excuse making such a bland villain. In fact, I might update "Worst Design" with Old Leviathan too. Sure, sticking stego spikes on Baragon and submitting him wasn't exactly the highlight of my UCA career, and it's something I try to forget about, but Old Leviathan had a random ass Mongolian Deathworm head and a Naga head. For no reason at all. And even the Leviathan-y looking parts were kinda bland and boring. Of course, 9/10 of the things from my first few months at the UCA could be up for consideration here.

I need to get off my lazy ass ant post a history for the rest of my guys, and put Rykaz's in his bio.

As I wrote in a previous thread, I love all of my monsters. Too much so to think of some as lower than others.
However... old shames. Who doesn't have them?
For example, Kasai Yogan. The monster I made specifically for this place when I came back (a few months after joining to give RPing a try, but didn't like). A hemokinetic, which in and on itself is too deadly and difficult to use here without breaking the rules all the time. Everyone, or mostly everyone, liked her a lot, but let's face it, she didn't have much going for her except bloodbending being scary-cool. She had next to no personality, which could be summed up as her just being cold and ruthless. There were no limits to what she could do with her bloodbending, so the result was an immensely overpowered, nearly unbeatable opponent. On top of that, she had random fire powers and fire immunity, which just served to make her more annoying to fight.
Then there was Ganter or what was it, who was just boring and arrogant.
What matters is that I've honed not just my writing skills, but how to make characters that are actually solid, unlike these two above.
