In a flash of light, Suchodon is beamed down onto the soon-to-be battlefield. When he opens his eyes, he finds himself in a narrow canyon with steep walls easily 200 meters high. Immediately, his tongue begins flicking in and out as he looks around, tasting the air for any sign of an opponent as he takes stock of his surroundings. But he detects nothing. If his foe is anything like the lumbering behemoths he so often fights on this planet, this arena will prove greatly in his favor...

A second beam washed down on the jagged landscape, and Suchodon's alert eyes were drawn towards it. The brilliant pillar swelled. Suchodon tensed, his head dropping low and his pupils narrowing to slits. The reptilian chimera watched as a scarred black head carved through the light like a blunt saw blade, yellow eyes flashing within the sockets of the gaunt skull like tiny golden flames of malice and spittle flying from barred teeth. A horrible yowl echoed through the tangled network of canyons like something dragged across old metal. The crocodile winced at the harsh sound.
Drakia, dark and charred like a living nightmare, spilled onto the battlefield.
The beast of hatred reared her fanged head high and stared wild-eyed at Suchodon. The burned skull titled, the lizard momentarily mistaking the green giant for one of her past foes- Vastrato. But the resemblance was only passing, and Drakia realized her mistake in a short moment.
Shaking her head and raking her gnarled talons against the stony earth, the bloodthirsty psychopath of a beast hissed. This foe was not Vastrato, but the Ash Queen hoped that he would be just as satisfying to bleed...

Like a black bolt of lightning, Drakia struck first.
With the speed of a frenzied wildbeast, the charred reptile scrambled forward, her scorched paws drumming the ground and her boney claws gouging dead earth. Lunging at Suchodon in a dark streak of undirected hatred and fury, the crazed monster lifted her fanged head up and swung it sideways at the crocodile, slamming both saberteeth into his left ankle. The green warrior howled as flesh and connective tissue was rendered in two, his body shuddering with pained shivers. The genetic chimera nearly collapsed. Drakia, blood splattered across her gaunt skull like the stripes that had been seared from her body so long ago, sawed her fangs into the biped, dark head rocking and serrated teeth spilling more crimson essence into her open maw.
The psychotic lizard moaned and let her tongue flop from her mouth as the liquid suffering flows straight down her gullet.
Suchodon, his slack jaws snapping shut with a hollow clap, tilted his long head down and hissed at his wily attacker. Like a fistful of sabers, the crocodile swung down his claws. Wham! The talons slapped hard across Drakia's face, ripping her from his leg. Wham! Wham! Wham! The swiping claws became a blur, a flurry of blows that could not be tracked by the human eye. But Suchodon could see. He could see each strike clearly, his slitted orbs noting how each hit slashed open black flesh and scattered red blood like heavy feet treading on morning dew. Then the green titan saw Drakia yawn her maw open and catch his claws in her sneering mouth. The curled jaws slammed down, and Suchodon let out an explosive hiss of pain. The mad Ash Queen shook her head like a jet black bulldog, Suchodon's hand shredded within her toothy grip. Blood and flesh sloshed from her head with each vicious shake, and soon her skull was painted red and her yellow eyes were streaked by sadistic pleasure.
CRACK!
Like a skeletal scorpion stinger, the tail of the ashen creature raised up and struck Suchodon faster than even he could track, slicing down the length of his clamped forearm. The green limb split open like a pea pod, and hot red gushed from every inch of the long wound. The crocodile bellowed as he was drained, and in his agony he failed to notice Drakia vanish beneath the veil of blood that splashed over her. Only when he stumbled forward, his chewed hand free, did Suchodon realize his foe had disappeared. Warily, the chimeric creature leaned back his slender skull and tasted the air. His jaws clicked with frustration. The stench of blood was intervening. It was too heavy, too prominent. It was everywhere, while Drakia was not. He knew the lizard was close, but he could not determine where...
Creeping behind the hero in the shadow of the canyon wall, Drakia stalked closer, her swollen tongue lapping and her scarred gums glistening. Each step she took was faster, less designed. Each clap of her claws was easier to detect. Her bloodlust was beginning to overcome her affinity for stealth. She was starting to care more about destroying flesh than staying undetected. Soon, the burnt reptile was practically running, dashing towards Suchodon as his powerful sense of smell made sense of the metallic curtain in the air...

But it isn’t his tongue that alerts Suchodon to the attack. The loud crunch of a boulder being crushed beneath a careless footfall gives away Drakia’s position. Instinctively, Suchodon jinks to the side. At the same time, he thrusts his head to the side opposite his dodge, jaws agape. Drakia, in mid-air from the failed pounce, is caught by the neck in the powerful crocodilian jaws and driven to the ground.
Suchodon almost gags as flakes of charred skin and ash cover the inside of his mouth, but maintains his grip. Now it makes sense why he couldn’t pick up her scent before. He was searching for the scent of a living being. This... thing has no such smell. Only dead things smell like this - of fire and ash. She won’t deceive him so easily again.
Mental note taken, Suchodon begins thrashing his head violently. Ash and char flakes fall from Drakia’s neck, soon accompanied by blood tinted gray from her own burned husk. The chimera’s teeth saw deeper with every movement, quickly finding the living tissue beneath the char. Drakia’s tail lashes forward repeatedly, the first three strikes uselessly glancing off the armor scutes on Suchodon’s back and neck. The fourth strike finds a softer spot, however, carving into his flank with ease. Suchodon snarls in pain, but refuses to let go. Another strike slices into his shoulder, but still he doesn’t relent. Seeing the tail pulling back for yet another lash, the chimera shifts his stance and spins his body, pulling Drakia off the ground and slamming her head-first into the nearby canyon wall. A spider web of cracks instantly radiate out from the point of impact and Drakia’s body goes limp.
Letting go of his opponent’s neck and letting her slump to the ground, Suchodon takes a step back before raising one of his clawed hands and aiming a swipe right for her underbelly.

The trio of sickle-like claws swung down like shiny black sabers, but before they could slice across the exposed belly of Drakia, the skeletal predator broke from her limp sleep and acted. The black beast convulsed once, reared her crazed head high, and then vomited a slate cloud of ash! The gray blast of soot engulfed Suchodon's long head, stinging in his eyes like fire. The green guardian staggered back with a hoarse cry, his bladed paws rising to wipe along his coughing snout and blinking brow. Blood was smeared around the soft tissues of the crocodile's eyes, nostrils, and mouth as the claws came away. A wild yowl rang from the cloud of ash swirling high into the air, a laughing beast with no form, and the reptilian hero knew that Drakia was gone from where he had left her. She would surely attack soon, her cruel form hidden in the ash where her unblinking eyes saw perfectly through some abomination of the flesh wrought by Hera's mutagenic blood. Blinking and trying to pierce the blinding blanket of ash that enveloped his body, Suchodon cracked open his fanged maw- wincing as the ash rushed in and tingled across his taste buds like bile- trying to scent for the mad lizard. Now blood and soot clogged his powerful snoz, but Suchodon was a learning creature. Instead of wasting time trying to pick through the foul smog that flooded his open gullet, he focused on the only aroma stronger than the acidic tang of the unnatural soot-
The slithering stink of dead, burning flesh.
The long lower jaw of the chimera swung open suddenly, and the hero threw down his toothed head. The two rows of pearly white fangs the slender skull housed slammed into Drakia's spine, causing the psychotic killer to rear from her hiding place with a thin wail. But before the mandible of the croc could swing up and butcher her midsection, the Ash Queen exploded into a ball of teeth and fury! Suchodon was forced back by a flurry of lightning-fast blows to his side. Many simply glanced off of his armored back, but many more tore into his scaly flesh and spilled blood red as rose petals, drawing sharp growls of pain from the other giant. The croc grunted as a complicated crisscross of wounds appeared along his flank, then he pushed his heavier body forward with a snort, hoping to crush the smaller reptile under his girth or at least drive her away.
The lithe killer did indeed jump away, but bounded back just as quickly, as if she had been bounced. The charred berserker slammed into Suchdon like a black thunderbolt, chasing after him even as he danced agilely away. The crocodile bellowed as serrated saberteeth gouged his thigh, carving two long, bloody furrows down his leg. The mighty reptile kicked the wounded leg, flinging blood and ash from his foe, but could not dislodge her. Curling her eternal sneer into something more hideous, Drakia lifted up her blood-splattered head and breathed in, her narrow chest swelling. Ash and soot swirled in the burned creature's legs, ready to be exhaled out, directly into the wounds along Suchodon's hindquarters and flank...

But just as Drakia exhales, her opponent whips around, a set of crocodilian jaws slamming shut on her own snout and snapping her jaws shut, cutting off the flow of ash. Twin jets puff out of her nostrils a moment later, some of the soot and ash redirected that way to relieve pressure when its primary exit was blocked off.
In this position, the two monsters are perpendicular to each other, Suchodon’s snout crossing over and under Drakia’s from the side, his teeth sunk through charred skin and scraping against bone. For a moment, the two eyes capable of doing so lock their sights on each other from just a few meters away and time seems to freeze. The two orbs are markedly similar, yet vastly different. Both are similar in color and possess a narrow slit for a pupil. One is crazed and feral, pure bloodlust and malice clear within its twitching glare. The other is calm and calculating, its steely gaze piercing its target and working out what it finds within. Both are the eyes of killers - of predators - on the polar opposite ends of the spectrum.
After an eternity lasting less than a second, the lock is broken when Drakia lashes out with her paw, slashing the base of Suchodon’s neck with her gnarled talons. Snarling in pain, the chimera releases his grip and recoils as the trio of fresh wounds spurt blood. Instantly, Drakia launches herself forward, intent on spilling still more of the reptile’s life essence. But Suchodon swings his head like a massive club, his solid skull smashing against Drakia’s considerably less solid one with a sickening crack. The charred beast manages an ungraceful landing on wobbly legs, clearly dazed from the blow to the head.
With his foe reeling, Suchodon lashes out with his claws, opening up a set of gashes across her ribs to her shoulder. The force of the strike is enough to knock her off her unsteady feet, toppling her over onto her side. Pressing his attack, Suchodon lunges, aiming to slam his jaws shut on Drakia’s neck.

The ivory line of railroad spikes punched into Drakia's neck like tent stakes driven into dried, weakened earth. Ash and blood bubbed up from the limp reptile's wounded flesh like the black-and-red blanket of lava from a ruptured volcanic dome. A muffled howl came from the burned creature as her body was forced into the ground by the weight of Suchodon's body, but her distressed cries became loud and piercing as the screech of nails on a chalkboard as the crocodile heaved her writhing mass up to better his grip on her neck, throwing her slender form back like a torn scrap of food and flexing his muscular neck.
The body of Drakia gave a powerful spasm as the crocodile clenched his jaws, and the flailing length of the killer wrapped around the stretched out neck of Suchodon as if that had been her plan all along.
The green titan grunted in surprise as he felt sharp claws dig into the exposed flanks of his thick neck, the bulky muscles that powered his monstrous jaws skewered like slabs of pork. Drakia's skeletal form was twisting around him almost like a python or noose, or some demented lady's stole, one set of gnarled talons dug deep into his throat, splashing out hot blood like a fountain, another stabbing into the thick hide just behind his armored head, and the others gripping at the opposite side of his neck. The crocodile groaned as Drakia's tail flicked itself around the base of his neck, snapping tight across the source of his breath. The scuted brute wheezed through his jaws as they gored Drakia, trying to increase the pressure on her neck and force her to release him. But with his strength spilling from his jugular and air cut off from his lungs, it was he who was being forced. Slowly, like a vince spun in the other direction, the long jaws of the hero loosened their grip on the bloody neck of Drakia, wet char falling away from her freed neck as it twisted and turned fitfully. Large gouts of blood spurted from the holes in her hide as she wrenched her head away, trying to separate herself from the maw of the titan.
But she was not coming undone quick enough, and she decided to accelerate the process with one swift, sweeping movement of her deadly anatomy.
Like a webbed fan of razorblades, Drakia's sails unfurled and sliced across Suchodon's neck!
The crocodile dropped Drakia with a loud hiss of pain and a splattering streak of blood, jagged red lines racing across his inflamed throat and mandible. Waves of blood fell from the green giant as he staggered, pawing at his wounded throat. The wounds caused by the jagged fins of the lizard were deep and thin, their narrow depth filled with the numbing cold of shock almost instantly and dulling all feeling across his shredded throat. Drakia, freed from her painful clamp between the crocodile's toothy jaws, landed on her feet like some hellish cat, body twirling like a demonic top. As her talons raked the earth, her bony tail cracked up. Like the last slash across a tally of five, the dagger-like tail tip ripped across the thin gouges left by the psychopath's sails, crossing them all with a thick, drizzling line of crimson blood! Suchodon bellowed greatly as his life essence rained down from his neck in a heavy red shower, his fluid drenching the ground beneath his waving head like a nourishing storm clouds.
Sneering as she was coated in the suffering of her foe, Drakia arched her long back legs and sprung up, claws curling to hook into the ragged flesh below Suchodon's skull and rip out everything she had already scarred...

Suchodon, still reeling from the previous assault, stumbles back as Drakia latches onto his neck once again. Immediately he brings his arms up, sinking both sets of meat hooks into his attacker’s shoulders. The chimera pushes down with his muscular arms while pulling away with his neck, trying to keep Drakia from bringing more of her weapons to bear on him. At the same time, the charred beast tries to pull Suchodon’s neck down, longing to sink her fangs into the wounded flesh once more. Something has to give, and eventually it does.
With a screech of pain and spray of blood, Drakia’s claws rip free of Suchodon’s neck. The heroic reptile quickly throws Drakia away, his own claws tearing free of her flesh in the process. It’s an awkward toss, with his arms and hands not built for such motions, but it accomplishes the goal of getting her away from him momentarily. True to her cat-like nature, Drakia twists in midair and lands on her feet, immediately launching herself at her opponent again.
This time, however, Suchodon is ready. The saurian sidesteps, letting Drakia sail past him. She lands gracefully and spins around to hurl herself at Suchodon again, but a massive swipe from the chimera’s claws stops her. The claws tear through flesh before catching under her shoulder blade, at which point she’s jerked off her feet. As Drakia is lifted off the ground, the claws dislodge themselves, ripping out of her shoulder in a gory spray of blood, chunks of tissue, and chips of bone.
The Ash Queen tries to land on her feet once again, but this time she collapses as her front leg gives out on her. Before she can get up, Suchodon pounces on her, sinking his upper rows of teeth into the top of her hips while the lower rows are driven into her thigh. He quickly plants a foot on her skeletal tail, preventing any counterattacks from the appendage as he begins savagely shaking his head, serrated teeth shredding charred flesh with frightening ease. Quickly, blood begins to flow freely from the area, spilling onto the dry earth. On top of that, Suchodon’s venom begins to seep into the wounds. He then raises his arm, aiming his claws at her ribcage in an attempt to more securely pin her down so he can continue mauling her while getting as much venom into her bloodstream as possible.

The lethal sickle claws raked across Drakia's jutting ribs like wickedly sharp mallets striking the keys of a xylophone, their hard tips breaking away dead flesh and black char as they searched for an anchor point in the dry husk of a hide. The mad lizard hissed and howled like a gangly hellhound, hot blood spilling from her leg and sides and saturating her crumbling skin, washing its brittle shell away to reveal bare, naked flesh hot and pink as uncooked meat. The venom of the biped was soaking into her veins like something snickering and laughing, sending sharp pain into her every muscular movement and numbing her pumping, bleeding flesh. The lithe jungle killer groaned under the effects of the toxin, her body churning on the inside, but her hatred and rage remained. The lizard felt the venom eat away at her insides, but she fought anyway. She struggled, she thrashed, she rebelled against death.
The insane beast yowled, ripping apart the sky with her voice. She was death!
The burned killer arched her finned back, pushing against the cunning brute that sat heavy upon her, gnawing on her bones and blood, drooling venom and pain. Her vertebrae extended from her spine like jagged dorsal spikes, but she could not break the grip of the larger, weightier reptile. The huntress spat in hatred, but did not give up. Not yet. She had not lived through dozens of battles with thing bigger and stronger than her by being a quitter.
With a low huff that squealed through her immortal sneer like a laugh, the sail-backed reptile whipped open her pointed fans and thrust up!
Back curved and lips curled like angry cat, Drakia plunged the boney tips of her ragged crimson sail deep into the underbelly and throat of her foe, skewering Suchodon in seven different places. The green guardian screamed, his pained voice splintering the air around his jaws as the long, armored head came up with a spray of blood. Sticky red poured from beneath the heroic chimera, painting Drakia with hot drizzles that crossed her black body in mad patterns and irregular scribbles. The hold of the crocodilian broken by the agony that pierced his gut, Drakia was able to wriggle her way from beneath his claws, bloody streaks left cutting across her hide from the hooked talons of the patchwork creature. Her fanged head twisted around like an adder's, her poison yellow eyes narrowing into thin slits as she looked up at her bellowing attacker. He still stumbled and flailed, the ashy points gone, but the wounds they left in his scaly flesh still pumping blood.
Homing in on the spurting red spots that dotted his underside, the Ash Queen rolled her bladed maw up and lunged for Suchodon with murder in her helllit eyes!
Serrated saberteeth ripped through the hero's beaded flesh, opening him throat to abdomen with a broad crimson surge that soaked Drakia snout to hip, drenching her narrow form in red. The red rivers flowed over her black hide like inflamed veins, each bulging and pumping with innate anger and disgust for the world and all who inhabit it. The triangular fangs of the mad ashen beast came loose from the bellowing reptile somewhere between his lean hind limb, Drakia's blood-spattered head dropping from underneath him like some twisted spawn and nearly sheathing its fangs in the earth. Shaking her skull and scattering hot droplets, the glinting eyes of the lizard shined up at the thirty-meter gash carved into her foe. Her throat swelled like that of a hideous toad's, and, when she opened her jaws, a blast of soot danced out angrily! The gust of ash billowed up into the wound, infecting the green titan's very gullet with debris and degradation, Drakia's own brand of venom where her natural toxin failed against the prefect immune system of the creature. The stinging cloud touched every inch of the huge injury and stuck, coating the bubbling red of the gaping gouge with wet black goop that soaked the raw meat deeply and completely, spreading soreness and infection to every cell of tissue it gripped- the perfect gauze for a cruel beast like Drakia.
Thin chest still emptying its black winds, the Ash Queen swept her head to the side and aimed for the eyes of the crocodile again...

The cloud of ash washes over Suchodon’s head, the vile material assaulting his eyes. He stumbles to the side, howling in pain. Seizing the opportunity, Drakia pounces, tackling the already unsteady chimera to the ground. Despite being blinded and in incredible pain, Suchodon reacts quickly. He performs a Death Roll, throwing Drakia off before she can sink her fangs or claws into his flesh. Standing up, he blindly snaps his jaws while backing away. It’s more a deterrent than an actual attempt at grabbing anything, buying himself a few precious extra seconds for his nictitating membranes to work the grit from his eyes.
After several blinks, his vision has cleared enough for him to somewhat see, and he makes out what appears to be a black shape slinking around to his side. Taking the chance, he lunges at it. The gamble pays off as his jaws close on Drakia’s thigh. The Ash Queen snarls in surprise and attempts to twist around to counterattack, only to have a set of claws bury themselves in the base of her neck and hold her at bay. Pushing his weight forward, Suchodon pins his opponent down. Then, ripping his head back, he tears a large chunk of flesh from her thigh. Spitting out the disgusting mass of meat and keeping the set of claws imbedded in Drakia’s neck as she howls in pain, the chimera raises his free arm and rips its set of claws down her flank, leaving a trio of massive gashes in their wake. He then aims another swipe at the same spot, hoping to open her up even further while still keeping her pinned down with the other set of claws.

The titanic crocodile swiped his dinosaur-like claws at the black beast of ash and death, but her thin fleshless tail hovered above her head like an angry viper and danced its joints together, rattling like a taunting snake. The green titan leaned his head up, wrenching Drakia's neck, his slitted eyes finding the noisy tail tip curled high above him like a scorpion stinger, then the dagger tip struck! The bony blade flung itself down and impacted against the brow of the hero, deflecting along his snapping jaws as he stumbled back. Drakia groaned as her gored neck was twisted back with the staggered guardian. Her body gave a tense spasm of pain, her skull wound tight against her shoulders. Suchodon howled into the knotted flesh of the cat-like being, rattling her meat. A broad red gash marked his snout, running from between his eyes to the fringes of his right nostril, blood bubbling from the entirety of its length and falling from the croc's maw in curtains. The chimeric creature was blinded by the crimson veil, blood stealing his sight. The hero still held Drakia tight in his jaws, but his tongue could taste the ash that fell from her body as she twisted her backside around and curled long back legs. The crocodile tried to drag her sprawled form to the side so that he couldn't be hit, but he underestimated the wily flexibility of the mangled killer.
Her body almost folded over itself, Drakia lashed out with a monstrous kick!
Suchodon's armored body was jostled by a huge force focused on two small points- Drakia's clawed feet. The scutes and scales of the hero rattled together as he was thrown back, his claws sparking against the ground as he lifted from the earth and floated away. The croc let out a hoarse wheeze as he slammed into a canyon wall, cracks spiderwebbing from his flattened form like jagged black rivers crisscrossing and entwining each other. Blood trickled down some of the black cracks like the blood channel of a worn blade. Another blow rocked Suchodn's body, crushing him into the rock wall again and shaking loose small stones from its surface. Another bashing blow broke away more of the wall, and then another after that. Drakia was delivering a flurry of kicks to the larger reptile, splitting his flesh and shattering solid rock as she tenderized his left flank. A great pair of crimson wings encircled Suchodon's bleeding head now, large feathers and pions painted onto the crumbling canyon face the hero grappled at, trying to escape the next savage kick. The cunning brawler knew what the psychotic beast wanted, yet he hesitated to give it to her even as she brutalized him. It was more dangerous to let go of a snake than to grab it. But as the croc, eyes smeared with blood and sides swollen with bruises, was slammed against the jagged wall again, shaking the entire structure, he finally relented. Unlatching his jaws, the hero released the devil.
He regretted it immediately.
Like a slinking black nightmare, she flung herself at his throat and clung onto him, hanging from underneath him like an infant animal with a thick streak of sadism. Her fanged head sawed into the wounded throat of the crocodile, chewing into his jugular eagerly. Hot blood spewed directly into the throat of the mad lizard as she severed scales and veins with her hacking saberteeth, draining the life of the armored one straight down her hungry gullet...

Before Drakia can inflict greater harm, Suchodon brings his arms up and hooks his claws under the edges of her jaws and tries to pry them off. The psychotic creature’s jaws are strong, but slowly begin to separate. Feeling her grip on her foe slipping, Drakia brings up her own claws and starts slashing at Suchodon’s arms. The heroic chimera hisses in pain but concentrates on the task at hand, soon dislodging the jaws and shoving Drakia away from himself.
The lithe killer immediately hurls herself at Suchodon again, but the reptile dances out of the way, leaving nothing but the rock wall that was behind him for her to collide with. True to form though, Drakia simply uses the cliff face as a springboard to reverse her direction and come at him again. Again he sidesteps, leaving Drakia to skid across the ground before whirling around to attack again. This continues for several more rounds, with Suchodon evading Drakia’s lunges and Drakia attacking again before Suchodon can capitalize. After the sixth lunge, Drakia has had enough. She skids to a stop and spins around like the previous times, but instead of leaping at Suchodon she exhales a jet of ash directly at his face.
With the black cloud enveloping her foe’s head, Drakia licks her charred lips and crouches, lining up to pounce again. He won’t dodge this time
No, he won’t dodge this time. But not for the reason Drakia thinks.
Suchodon’s head explodes out of the cloud, nictitating membranes covering his eyes and his nostrils and ears sealed shut. Mechanisms meant to seal out water work just as well to seal out smoke and grit, it would seem. This was the opportunity Suchodon was actually waiting for. He’s figured Drakia out well enough by this point to know she wouldn’t keep up the dance for long before getting fed up and trying something else. There were few options she had in that situation, and her ash breath would be the most likely. An extreme gamble, but one which is about to pay off.
Drakia’s eyes go wide in shock and she instinctively tries to recoil, but it’s too late. Suchodon’s jaws slam shut on her neck. He pulls back, jerking Drakia forward and tearing into the flesh of her neck, and releases for just a fraction of a second to reposition her neck further back in his jaws for a more secure grip before biting down again with all his might. The Ash Queen tries to choke out a cry as the immense jaw power crushes muscle and strains bone. She attempts to coil herself around her attacker like the last time he tried this, but Suchodon isn’t about to let that happen again. He snaps into a Death Roll, Drakia’s neck clenched in his vice-like jaws.
As Suchodon rolls across the canyon floor with a flailing Drakia in tow, the crazed monster tries everything she can to get free. The chaos of being violently twisted and rolled around makes her efforts futile, though, as she can’t get her bearings enough to actually strike anything other than the ground or empty air. Her struggling only lasts a few seconds, anyway, between the crushing force of the jaws around her neck starving her brain of oxygen, the venom seeping into her bloodstream, and the sheer trauma of being caught in the Death Roll.
Eventually Suchodon comes to rest, simply laying still for a moment to catch his breath before releasing his grip on Drakia’s neck, which is twisted around nearly 180 degrees. A less flexible creature likely would have had its neck snapped. Getting to get feet, Suchodon goes around and snatches the bony tail of his stunned opponent in his jaws. He then spins, swinging her around to gain momentum before releasing and sending her hurtling head-first toward the canyon wall. Drakia’s skull meets the rock with a loud crash and a sickening crack, sending a spider web of cracks out from the impact point and leaving a bloody smear as she limply falls to the ground.
Grabbing her tail in his jaws again, Suchodon repeats the process, this time slinging her at the opposite wall.
