A little more than 12, 000 meters above the earth, the Mehrksis ship slowly hovered, high above the tall mountains dotting the landscape. Geryon – the “planet cracker” used to extract large chunks of planet thought to be lifeless so that the Mehrksis may feed on the minerals there. At least, that was what it used to do before strong opposition, mostly of the ethic kind, forced it to be simply a large carrier for what remained of the Mehrksis race and their mechanical guardians – and one of these guardians was just about to be sent in action once more.
A blue comet pierced through the few clouds decorating the sky. It slowed down, before the mechanical being let his jets take care of the rest. A duo of three-toed, clawed feet gently reached the rocky flooring of a large platform between a few mountains. Steam pouring from vents scattered across his body, Halion One stood perfectly idle, waiting for his opponents to show up...

A second burst of electronic light struck the mountain range, and the lean form of a hyena emerged from its overwhelming glare. Chimbwi stumbled, having only just been healed from his encounter with Crydmarr. He was still shaking slightly... and at this altitude the cold wasn't helping much either.
Chimbwi did not feel like playing today.

Another ray of light soon sliced through the air, as a black armred shape descended upno the mountain range. The mech soon plopped down on the slope of a mountain, overlooking the beautiful valley. The majesty of this arena surprised Charles- after fighting in the volcano with that crazed lizard, he was fighting somewhere... pleasant, for once. Soon, Charles turned his mech, Erebus, to look at his opponents: Halion-One and Chimbwi.
"So they sent me to fight a dinosaur robot and an oversized dog?" Charles said. "Well, this will be a unique battle, to say the least..."
Charles then spoke to his computers.
"Erebus, engage thrusters."
"Affirmative." The computers complied.
The roar of Erebus' engines could be heard, as the human mech prepared for battle....

Erebus was the first to begin battling. A missile was expelled from the human-piloted machine, the alien anteater mech being its target. But it did not quite have the wanted effect. A burly, clawed hand shot up, digits circled by wrinkled plating wrapping around the projectile. The blue mech absorbed the flames and crushed the metallic shell of the missile in his grasp as if it had been a mere tin can. Shrapnel dripped from his hand; his tiny, green eyes locked on his enemy. He knew that a human was installed inside and was piloting the machine, and that he, knowing his strength, should avoid damaging the cockpit too much in order to avoid killing off the man. It was going to be a bit tricky, but not outright impossible.
Erebus, jumping on the rock platform, spun around on his heels to face Chimbwi, then retrieved his mighty Daikatana, aiming to clobber the oversized hyena with it. But, being quite a fast little bugger, Chimbwi quickly bounced on his paws and landed a little further to the side, and repeated the act a second time when the sword struck again, its blade bouncing off the rocky flooring with a clang and a small burst of sparks. At this time, Charles paid no attention to Halion, who was slowly approaching with resounding, rhythmic thumps - he was too concentrated on the hyena, but this would soon prove to be fatal. Behind him, the Mehrksis gladiator reached in his back to retrieve his famous weapon, Ixion. He began to spin the electric mace, the electricity-infused weapon spinning faster and faster until it became nothing but a light blue blur emitting a loud buzzing sound. Before Chimbwi and Erebus could continue battling, the whole man-piloted mech’s structure shook and rocked like an earthquake. Ixion’s spikes gained a grip in his plated back, slicing through circuitry and caving the armor inwards. The impact threw the machine off his feet and directly into Chimbwi, the force behind the hit striking the two like a freight train. The duo slid against the ground as if hit by a truck, the portion of Erebus’ form that touched the ground spitting sparks and the hyena, stuck underneath the mecha’s bulk, yelped as he felt his fur and flesh ripped, dense musculature dissolving like an eraser. A long trail of sparks and blood was drawn in their wake. Halion, with a steady tug, pulled his mace out of his downed foe’s body.
The two slowly rose to their feet, now wanting both to strike back. But Halion One would not allow them any opportunity to hit him. He slowly reeled Ixion towards him, his mechanical spine bending and his spiked head lowering, the armor plates on his back ruffling up. As he expected, his targets rushed towards him, one brandishing a sword and the other clacking toothy jaws together, but they would be both deceived...
BOOM!
The duo was flung back, flames dancing across their body. With roasting flesh and melting plating, the two landed hard, bouncing once on the rock. While one rolled around to try and extinguish the flames, the other patted them off. Sheathing Ixion in his back, Halion Uno stared at his baking foes, slowly approaching with long strides. Chimbwi was the first to rise after finally managing to extinguish the flames licking hungrily at his roasting flesh. The beast pounced, jaws clamping shut around one of Halion’s shins. Although the shape of the armor plates there made it exceedingly hard to gain a grip and his jaw’s muscles were aching, Chimbwi managed to rip off a chunk of alien alloy. Hopping back with the piece of plating in his jaws like a trophy, Chimbwi’s eyes suddenly widened in horrors as blazing whips cracked mere meters before him. The flaming duo wrapped around him, the hyena dropping his metallic catch with a gasp. Burning air filled his lungs, causing him to hack for air, the flaming whips that were ensnaring him charring his flesh to a crisp.
Halion threw his arm to the side, which had been previously crossed into an X shape. With a loud “FWOOOSH!”, the flaming whips uncoiled, causing Chimbwi to spin around like a barrel, soon hitting violently his head against the ground. The rock spiderwebbed under the impact; his jaws cracked, the flesh on the side of his face split and a few fangs falling.
Keeping his downed foe’s head in place gently with a clawed foot, Halion sheathed his whips and extracted his laser katana. His arms folded so that the weapon hovered over his plated shoulders, before he swung it like a baseball bat, aiming to slice Erebus’ Daikatana in half...

But Halion's swing was thrown off course as Chimbwi slammed into the spiky mech! The hyena's strength and propulsion was enough to throw Halion One clean off his feet, and as the bulky mass of armor and spikes collapsed, it began to summersault down the mountain slope! Jarring blows echoed around its head and back as it continuously flipped head-over-heels down the steep slope, its armoured surface gathering up dozens of dents. Down and down it tumbled, until its increasing velocity finally smashed its heavy frame into the base of another mountain in an explosion of alien shrapnel and stone!
But Chimbwi did not stop to admire his work. The hyena was tearing down the mountain as fast as his legs could carry him, occasionally slipping and sliding on the scree at his feet. He bolted right past Halion, who was only beginning to recover from his fall, his armor bent and dented into twisted shapes. Still the mammal continued to run, actually fleeing the battlefield! Behind the cockpit, Charles watched dumbfound as the kaiju disappeared behind a mountain ridge and out of sight.
Until a beam of electronical light. custody of the UCA, descended down towards the horizon. A second teleportation beam appeared right behind Erebus. Chimbwi, still in a panic, emerged from its glare. The hyena would not be so lucky as to flee from battles in the UCA.
Surprised by the sudden appearance of Erebus, Chimbwi tried skidding to a stop, but on the harsh slopes of the mountain he only succeeded in falling face first into the KAA mech. Charles swore aloud as the mech toppled, bring Chimbwi with him...
Halion One was slowly trudging up the mountain, lighting sparking across his armor and blasting the rocky earth around him. His six green eyes widened as he saw the hyena and Erebus rolling down the mountain in a twisted mass of limbs, yelping cries and clanging armor echoing throughout the landscape. The monster and mech were almost upon him... and the shocked Halion One could only brace for impact.
A thunderous crash spread across the mountain range as all three fighters skidded down the mountain's base, blowing a small crater into the ground below.
Silence overcame the fighters, the three piled one overtop of the other. Squashed beneath the thee was Erebus, his armor bent like tinfoil in numerous spots and his right arm nearly crushed above the shoulder. Halion One fared a bit better this time around, one of the plates on his chest had been knocked loose from the combined weights of Chimbwi and Erebus smashing into him. The hyena sat on top, several gashes cut into his back where the rocks and Halion One's spikes had struck him.
The silence was broken by a whooping giggle... quiet at first... but it soon escalated into a roar of laughter. Chimbwi picked himself off the pile, bounding to the ground, sniggering despite himself. An alien grunt soon followed as the electrical machine followed, already drawing out Ixion in a bid to gain vengeance. The hyena, still whooping, was quick to act, pouncing at the arm that held the mace and latching his powerful jaws around it! His weight tore Halion to the ground, his powerful muscles squishing the alien armor into an unrecognizable form. With a mighty tug of his neck, Chimbwi ripped a large piece of armor from Halion's forearm and then... swallowed it... spikes and all.
Still hungry, Chimbwi pounced again, this time aiming for Halion One's chest...

The man-made soon rose up onto its hind legs, the black-colored machine rising from the heap it had been collapsed into with the hiss of hydraulics and the screech of rent metal. The impact had done a number on him, but overall, he was in decent fighting condition. Turning towards the downed forms of his opponents, where Chimbwi was attempting to chomp a peice of Halion's chest plate off, the human mech decided to intervene. The missile silos hidden in his massive shoulder pauldrons opened up, before twin inferno missiles fired out, aiming straight for both of his opponents. Before either opponent knew what was coming for them, the missiles exploded, unleashing their fiery payload upon its unwary prey.
What followed was a series of horrifying cries of pain from Chimbwi, while Halion's form rose up onto its hind legs, the napalm still burning on its thick armor plating. Chimbwi thrashed about wildly on the ground, cries of pain escaping his maw as the fire burned off his fur and charred the hide beneath. No matter how much Chimbwi rolled around, the flames refused to be put out, due to the Napalm's adhesive nature. Halion One, however, was less bothered by the flames, due to its armor's inherent resilience to intense heat. Unphased, Erebus drew his blade, ready to fight his opponent. However, Halion one simply locked its gaze with Erebus' face plate, before extending its plasma blade, the whizz od the sword as it exitted its master's hand audible.
"Oh, fuck me," Charles groaned as Halion lunged forward to strike him.
Acting fast, Erebus dodged to the side, narrowly avoiding getting cleaved clean in half by the superheated blade. Erebus soon lashed out with his mighty metal blade, but Halion dodged out of the way and lunged forward once more, plasma blade ready to cleave. Erebus brought up his hand and grabbed Halion's forearm, halting the advance of the mech's deadly weapon, before he delivered a brutal blow with the hilt of his sword. The impact of the hilt, coupeld with Erebus' imrpessive power, cracked one of Halion's "eyes", broke off the top of one of the "horns", and sent a few hunks of metal flying off of its "head". Halion simply locked its eyes back onto Erebus, before it delivered a point blank piston punch to Erebus' chest.
The power of the punch sent Erebus reeling backwards, the punch crushing his armor plating and causing him to crash, backfirst, onto the ground. Halion soon approached his downed form, its shoulder pods prepping to fire its cryo missiles and freeze the human mech. But Erebus got off its missiles first, as a pair of bunker busters rocketed forth from the mech's shoudler turrets, and tore their way into Halion's own shoulders. Nothing happened at first, but then, suddenly, twin explosions rocked Halion's form, blowing massive craters into the mech's shoulders, sending shrapnel flying in all directions. Halion stumbled off of its feet and onto the floor, giving Erebus time to get onto his own feet. From the side, the human mech noted Chimbwi approaching, the flmaes having finally been stifled. The hyena looked a bit angry, his form smoking from the flames raging across his body. As the giant african beast came in close, Erebus came in close, and aimed a kick straight at Chimbwi's face...

Although Charles thought that his machine’s shoeprint would look fabulous on Chimbwi’s mug, the hyena certainly disagreed. The oversized mammal snarled as Erebus’ mechanical leg extended, aiming to strike like a metallic hammer, before he hopped over it, the metallic heel instead striking the ground instead of its intended target. The black machine was pinned to the ground, and the two began to wrestle each other, each trying to pin the other – each trying to gain the advantage. Chimbwi’s jaws clacked and spat drool mere inches from Erebus’ plated throat, a mechanical mitten holding him off. However, their fighting was soon interrupted by a loud rumble. Turning their craniums around and rolling their eyeballs upwards, the two raised a confused eyebrow as they watched Halion repeatedly punching the upper half of a rocky mountain, plated hands creating spiderwebs across its rocky surface, the blows resounding like thunder. Why on Ujiak was the Mehrksis guardian attacking a mountain? Had Erebus damage his radars or something?
With a casual shrug, the hyena and mech resumed their struggling, as more rumbles sounded over their heads. All of a sudden, though, the thumping stopped, leaving place for a subtle electric sizzling. A huge shadow loomed over the duo, and, cracking their necks up, they saw something absolutely jaw-dropping. The mecha-anteater stood there, arms raised like a preacher, lightning bolts enveloping the bottom of the mountain tip which he held with a simple electromagnetic trick. Erebus and Chimbwi tried to wiggle out of the way, but their limbs were stuck!
The mountain positioned itself over their heads...
Then, it dropped, and the duo was crushed like pancakes! Armor plates cracked and bones chipped, wind was knocked out of lungs, metal strained, head aches built up and teeth stabbed into gums, rivers of blood flowing from one’s mouth and sparks spitting from the other’s form. The mountain tip split on impact, burying the machine and monster under thousands of tons of rubble. The wicked anteater thingamajig landed just besides the pile of stone, a stream of flames soon expelling from his fanged maw. The rocks imprisoning Chimbwi and Erebus heated... and they soon became molten slag, boiling the two like veggies!
Chimbwi writhed as he boiled, while Charles struggled with the controls of Erebus to get himself out of this burning mess. The two emerged covered in molten rock, and Halion quickly caught them both. A plated hand wrapped around Chimbwi’s throat, and another armored paw wrapped around Erebus’. The machine kicked off the ground before reaching the platform on which the three stood upon at the beginning of the clash of flesh and metal – it was much less tricky to fight there. Chimbwi twisted his neck around and bit down on Halion One’s arm, struggling to gain a grip at first, but managing to tear a chunk of armor plating off like torn paper. Halion soon raised his arms, and the grey plates protecting the area underneath his arms slid down to reveal the Meat Grinders. The hooked weapons roared to life, biting down into Erebus and Chimbwi’s stomach. They ripped like huge, sharp claws would render soft flesh.
Blood spilled and circuitry was torn off, before Halion stopped his assault and released his foes, soon launching a freezing missile for each, aiming for their gaping, open wounds...

Chimbwi yelped, and then shivered as the freeze missile exploded against his hide, ice growing over his thick coat of fur. The ice was soon broken down, however, melting into water before being absorbed by the hyena. The mammal rose to his feet, blindly charging the massive electrokinetic machine before him. He leaped onto Halion, snarling savagely as his powerful jaws found their way around Halion’s neck. The armor resisted the teeth, but gave way to the tremendous, bone crushing pressure generated by his jaws. Chimbwi shook his head vigorously, hanging off his larger opponent like a bulldog. With every tug of his strong neck, his body’s own weight and momentum helped to cause even more damage to Halion’s throat region.
That was, until the Mehrksis mech simply trust his head down, slashing Chimbwi’s face with his chin spikes and causing the hyena to release his neck, for fear of losing an eye to the metallic monster. Lighting bolts began to arc from Halion’s sturdy frame, causing the hound to dance about the steep rocky ground to avoid the nasty electrical bursts. He quickly backed off, lengthening the distance between himself and the mechanical storm.
And backed right into Erebus!
In shock, the hyena wiped around and squeezed between Erebus’s legs, nearly causing the samurai-like mech to topple down the slope again. A shriek of laughter escaped his jaws as Chimbwi spun around once again, pouncing on the mech from behind. This time his weight managed to throw his opponent face first into the rocks, and the kaiju wasted no time in gnawing at the right shoulder, crushing the steel in between his jaws like tinfoil. When finished with his work, the creature leaped off once again to avoid the advancing Halion. He tore up the mountainside, swerving again, planning to run back down and use his momentum to charge Halion and—OOH! A WHITE ROCK!
Chimbwi skidded to a halt, staring at the white rock with great interest. It didn’t seem to have a defined shape. No… instead this odd rock covered the other rocks like a blanket of white moss. And it smelled like water. Curious, Chimbwi bent down, hesitantly licking the white substance. Tasted like water too... and for some reason it was very cold.
He snorted in surprise when he saw other patches of this white substance further up the mountain. And at it’s peak… why… in seemed to be COVERED in that white stuff! But before Chimbwi could further investigate this strange new substance, a metallic hand grabbed his tail.
“Got ya!” Charles exclaimed, having snuck up on the hyena while he was studying the snow.
The African beast responded by activating his dehydration abilities. The palm and fingers of Erebus’s hand began to corrode and disintegrate into dust. Charles quickly let the hyena go before any crippling damage could occur to the hand. Chimbwi took off again, climbing up the slippery slope as fast as he could to see the snowy peak and sending a avalanche of stone soaring for Erebus’s face!

OOC: I'm sorry for taking so long guys. Erebus, though damaged by the dehydrating abilities of the slippery little Hyena, was not about to get blown over by a wall of stones and snow. Activating his jet boots, Erebus rocketed upwards into the sky, a cloud of heat and smoke billowing beneath his black metal form. The wall of stone and snow tumbled by beneath the black armored mech, before the avalanche rapidly approached Halion! But the electricity-wielding mech activated its 6 massive jets. With a roar and a billow of smoke, Halion shot up into the sky, causing the avalanche to miss both mechs completely, leaving Chimbwi to eat some snow that lay atop the mountain in peace. As Chimbwi feasted upon his frozen treat, the two mechs circled each other in the air, each one prepping their attacks, but neither one making a decisive motion. Erebus broke the peace, however, as twin bunker busters fired out from his shoulder turrets, locking on to Halion-One! The alien mech swerved to the side, causing the missiles to miss. However, just as the mech prepared to counter with its own barrage of missiles, Erebus fired two more bunker buster missiles, the massive, armor piercing rockets crashing into Halion’s unprepared form! A massive explosion rocked Halion’s chest armor, hunks of metal and circuitry being sent flying outwards from the eruption of fire, before Halion plummeted to the mountains below in a smoking heap. Charles chuckled to himself. Well, that was one less opponent to worry about for now. Now he just had to take care of that annoying hyena. But where had it gone off to? When Erebus turned around, he saw that it had completely disappeared. Perhaps it had climbed farther down the mountain? Maybe it was hiding somewhere in the snow? Erebus soon touched down onto the highest peak of the mountain, where he had last seen Chimbwi. The mech felt around using its feet, searching for the overgrown hyena, as the pilot in the massive black machines’ cockpit assumed that the hyena was hiding in the snow. But Erebus assumed incorrectly- the hyena was hiding down along the slope! While he was busy investigating, the black mech was suddenly slammed into from behind by the furry menace, the spotted lupine beast causing Erebus to lose his footing, and tumble down the slope with the creature in tow. The hyena soon hopped onto the prone Erebus’ chest, and chomped down onto his spiked breastplate, crushing some of the armor in his jaws and causing it to rapidly dehydrate! Acting fast in order to save himself, Erebus pointed his shoulder guns down at Chimbwi, and blasted the hapless creature with Inferno Missiles. The force of the missiles exploding caused Chimbwi to fly off of Erebus’ chest, his body engulfed in a sea of fire. Erebus wasn’t out of the woods yet, however, as he still had to stop himself from sliding any farther. The mech soon slammed his elbows into the ground, trying in vain to slow to a stop. Unfortunately, the momentum was too much, and the mech failed to stop before it crashed head-first into a massive slab of stone. The impact not only rattled the mech, but nearly knocked Charles unconscious. The mech pilot grabbed his head briefly, a sharp pain running through his cranium from the impact. Hopefully it was just a concussion, and not something serious like a fractured skull. Charles soon commanded his war machine to rise onto its feet, before he rocketed into the air once more. As he did so, he could see Halion One disregarding the flaming form of Chimbwi, before it rocketed up once more to attack Erebus! Halion One came in close, his deadly mace, known as Ixion, swinging menacingly, electricity dancing along the chain and slicing through the air from its head. As Halion lashed out with his deadly weapon, its hooks and spikes looking mighty intimidating to the human pilot and his war machine, Charles knew he had to act fast. With surprising agility, Erebus dashed out of the way of the massive mace, before lunged forward, slashing his massive Daikatana across Halion’s shoulder. Though the blade is sharp and powerful, the blow did not do much to Halion, other than slice through a bit of armor and causing a few sparks to fly from the strike. Halion turned slowly and menacingly towards Erebus, glancing down briefly at the miniscule damage the human machine inflicted, before he charged forward, Ixion at the ready. Not about to get clobbered again, Erebus shot up, causing the attack to miss again, before Erebus turned off his foot jets and dropped down, aiming a straight kick right for the prone mech’s head…
