The hulking abomination hissed and spat, his head thrashing violently with the sludge filling his gaping jaws. Drool seeped from the abomination's maw, dribbling down onto the floor, mingling with the ash and soot that stained the scorched earth. Finally, the rampaging beast had enough of the sludge, and unleashed a pillar of flame from his maw. A plume of chemicals and heat billowed forth from the monstrosity's gaping maw, as the hulking brute flexed his jaws, and closed them tightly. Captain Toxic had landed swiftly, and adopted a fighting stance, his palms glowing with chemical energy. Orsa was unfazed, however, and simply stomped forward, one heavy footfall at a time. With each heavy step, Captain Toxic took a step back. Orsa's pace soon quickened, before the beast lunged forward like a rabid dog, aiming to bite the hero clean in two!
Captain Toxic quickly avoided, leaving the beast prone to attack. From the side, Orsa was struck by a vicious punch from Behemoth, the power behind the blow eliciting a grunt from the rampaging titan, and causing it to take two steps to the side. This bought Captain Toxic enough time to blast the gaping wound on Orsa's leg and shoulder blade with deadly chemicals, before retreating. Orsa's mind faltered for a moment, his grim gaze falling upon his leg and shoulder wound, the beast feeling the sting of the deadly chemicals filling his wound. However, his eldritch properties quickly overcame it. Unfortunately for Orsa, the attack bought Behemoth enough time to wind up another brutal punch, this time clobbering the monster right across the face!
As the punch struck Orsa, a rainbow beam and shadow sphere simultaneously struck Orsa's hind side, creating a massive cloud of smoke and energy upon impact. Orsa ignored them for the most part, however, and simply fired a Pseudo Big Bang at the duo, forcing them to evade swiftly or take severe damage from the powerful energy ray. Orsa turned his attention back to Behemoth, who was rearing up to deliver a double fisted slam to his head. With a roar, the devilish titan reared up as well, and grappled Behemoth's hands, the deca-digited hands completely engulfing Behemoth's own. The beast squeezed, crushing the rocky titan's fists in his grasp, as he leaned forward, forcing Behemoth towards the ground. Behemoth struggled, his body fighting to hold up the weight of the massive beast. Knowing he wouldn't be able to hold him up for much longer, Behemoth decided to put his shoulder cannons to good use.
Suddenly a pair of magma spheres blasted out from Behemoth's shoulders, before they exploded in Orsa's face at point blank range! The monstrosity howled, and stumbled back, his upper body engulfed in a cloud of volcanic smoke and fire. The hulking beast soon fell back onto all fours, a series of pained grumbles exiting his maw in the process. As the smoke cleared, the visage of a very angry Orsa became visible. The massive beast snarled, and roared, the earth shaking from his power, before he began to charge towards Behemoth like an angry crocodile! Other Heroes rushed to hold off the titan, such as Mara, Terrozinus, and Sid, but they were all either forced or tossed aside by the monstrosity's flailing limbs and tail!
As Orsa approached, his maw filled with a deep blue flame, before a massive, dark blue fireball rocketed out of his maw, blasting Behemoth off his feet and sending rock flying in all directions! The earthen beast was floored from the blast, as Orsa's charge slowed to a crawl. From behind, Shinryu flew in to intercept the beast, rifts opening beneath the monster's feet, but the dragon god made the error of getting within striking range. With a single swipe of its tail, Orsa clobbered Shinryu, knocking him out of the sky. Orsa turned his attention back to Behemoth, his golden eyes fixed upon the earthen warrior's body. Snarling, Orsa planted his feet into the ground, as his maw began to fill with a white light...

A terrible snarl escaped the stone monster, and the earth cracked and groaned between himself and the feet of his eldritch opponent. Behemoth’s hammer-like arms slammed into the floor of dust and dirt as he pulled himself to his feet, staring defiantly at the white glow of the omega beam grew ever brighter. The few monsters that were paying any attention to the earthen deity looked on, bewildered that Behemoth could be arrogant enough to do nothing in the face of imminent doom. A brilliant flash escaped Orsa’s maw as the omega beam exploded forth like a freight train, homing down on its stubborn target.
The beam suddenly swung down, striking the forest floor and missing Behemoth by mere meters as the ground beneath Orsa’s forelimbs collapsed into a yawning trench nearly the height of the titan himself! Thrown off balance, the apocalyptic beast fell face first into the trench, just as dozens of 30-meter spikes of solid stone burst from the dirt walls to greet him. Though the fall was short - little more than being tripped for the massive beast - its great weight caused the ground to shake violently upon impact, toppling the few trees that remained and causing the smaller monsters to stumble. The huge legs of the monster soon found solid footing, however, and Orsa rose from the cloud of dust that had been kicked up by the fall, a ear-splitting roar escaping its jaws. Most of Behemoth’s stone spikes had been smashed by the monsters’ weight and durability, but a select few had managed to bury themselves deep into his neck and shoulders, particularly the damaged one. The ends of these few bent at Behemoth’s will, forming small hooks to that they would remain inside Orsa, hoping the presence of the foreign objects would slow or even prevent the regeneration of these new wounds.
“YOU FACE NOT A MORTAL, BUT A GOD!” the titan shouted, unknowing and uncaring if the abomination could understand him or not. “COMPARED TO ME, YOU ARE LITTLE MORE THAN A WORM! A BLIND, HELPLESS, WORM!” With a furious, animalistic bellow, Behemoth lowered his horn and threw himself at the much larger beast, regardless of his own safety. What did he, a god, have to fear from such a primitive creature? The ground shook as the legendary monster drew closer to the apocalypse-incarnate, aiming to shatter the monster’s skull.
Orsa simply raised his foreleg, swatting away the stone monster with ease.
Behemoth howled again, this time in frustration as he bounced off the hard ground several times, his armor cracked and splintered by the powerful blow. His pride was also damaged, which only enraged the giant further. Picking himself up again, the deity glared at the abomination, his volcanic cannons swirling with fiery energy.
Powerful bangs echoed across the battlefield as three heavy stones erupted from the weapons like oversized cannonballs, plumb of smoke and ash trailing in their wake. The projectiles smashed against Orsa’s skull, actually managing to stun the beast with their momentum. For all of two seconds, at least.
But that was enough time for Behemoth to charge his cannons again. The gargantuan titan turned once more to face him, opening its jaws to unleash an earth-shaking roar. Red-orange lava beams blasted out from all three of the cannons of the living mountain, shredding the roof of the Orsa’s mouth with their intense heat and force. Unwilling to stop the assault now, Behemoth charged another volley of lava beams, this time aiming for the injured shoulder…

((OOC: Alright, Ghidorah, your turn has been skipped, and we will be proceeding to the real boss battle without you. I've given you more than a week to respond. I'm not going to make 7 other people wait because you're too lazy to post.))
The power behind the magma-esque beams was surprising to the blackened beast, his golden eyes widening as flames blasted into his wounded shoulder. An eldritch cry of pain lanced forth from the abomination's gaping maw, causing earth to shatter, and lightning slice down from the skies, as if empathizing with the monstrosity's pain. Rage soon filled the abominable beast's hellish eyes, as a menacing flame filled his maw, and a single fireball rocketed out, blasting Behemoth clear off of his feet and causing him to fall to the floor in a smoldering heap. Orsa's jaws flexed and bulged, as saliva dribbled down from the beast's fangs and gums. The heroes had put up a mighty fight; more than the monstrosity had expected.
Suddenly, more ranged attacks began to pelt the beast, pinning him down beneath a barrage of fire, electricity, chemicals, and various other elements. The hulking beast howled, the elements assaulting the beast with a ferocity it had not seen thus far. The sheer willpower and force behind the assault was almost overwhelming; Orsa was nearly forced to his knees and onto the floor from the sheer might of the heroes' assault upon him! Earth split and shook beneath the combined might of the heroes and their attack upon this most mighty of opponents; with their combined power, nothing would be able to stop them from besting the abomination!
But all was not to go according to plan. Though the heroes' assault was admirable and quite effective, it failed to put the beast down for long. From the smoldering crater that remained after such a brutal assault, emerged the blackened, smoking form of the horrifying nightmare. The beast's chest became aglow for a moment, before a thundering roar emerged from the beast's maw. Suddenly, the whole arena exploded from the beast's might, and the heroes were all sent flying backwards from the sheer force of the explosion. Blackened energy and embers drifted in the hot, dead air in the forest, as the beast spread its massive pinions to take off once more.
The likes of Halcitrox and Pavoroc attempted to pursue the massive beast, but they were simply kept at bay by hellish breath and the hurricane-like winds of the monstrosity's fell wings beating. Before long, the beast was up and in the air, and was in full retreat, heading off towards an arena unknown. Though the first battle had been a victory, the war was far from over- Orsa still needed to be slain.
((OOC: All members of this battle are now to post their outros. A hub thread will be popping up soon, where the heroes are on pursuit of the beast. Then, the final battle will begin!))

Mara growled as the massive form of Orsa retreated. No... she couldn't let him escape. Not after what he had done. Not with the threat he posed here. Her body hurt from the powerful blows Orsa had dealt her, but she would bear through it regardless. She took off like a rocket, dashing after the fleeing monstrosity, her claws digging through the soil and her form moving like a lightning bolt. Even though they had done so little to him, what they had managed to do to him was a ray of hope. They knew Orsa wasn't invincible. He was wounded, with injuries that were not healing. All they needed to do was focus more powerful attacks on his weak points, and the beast would fall.
And yet, there was still a deep thought that lay on her mind. She had seen it herself, the complete destruction of her husband. 300 years spent trying to free her, only to get himself killed. If there were still a corpse left, he could be brought back, but... there was nothing. She stopped, and sniffed around, trying to pick up any remaining scent of Crigan. There was none to be smelt. Not even his ashes were left. It was all gone, burnt and swept away by Orsa. A tear went down her face as she turned back in the direction the beast had flown toward. She let her tails sweep through the fires that burnt around her. Memories came to her mind, memories of the small house on the grassy hill they had lived in, of the children they had raised, of the friends and grandchildren that had visited them. Memories of the times they had gone fishing, of when they had done repairs and refurnished the house a dozen times, of when meteor showers flew overhead and filled the night sky with their light show. Those decades she had spent with him, torn apart and turned upside down by Persephone. Her teeth gritted, until she let out a long, angry howl into the heavens. Both Orsa Terminus and Persephone would pay... they would pay for ruining her peaceful life and turning Crigan's into a nightmare. They would pay, no matter what. She darted off, once more on the trail of the beast, leaving the others behind...

Sid wanted to follow the enraged example of the fox and pursue Orsa, but he knew it would be insanity to chase the devil. As much as he hated to admit it, his small size had not been any source of advantage here. He was battered, bruised, and bleeding, his body left in a sorry state by the slightest of efforts from the mountainous organism. He could tell a few of his rubs were broken from being thrown around so much, his stomach wound was still oozing blood, and he was certain that his wrist had been sprained by that last fall. He had been worse off before- the pummeling Arc had given him during the decisive Nentuson battle was tenfold what he suffered now for, a beating that nearly killed him- but he would not be running down any titans today.
With a tap on a button mounted onto his twisted wrist, the former human summoned a transport to his quarters.
As the shattered earth was birthed awash by alien light, the little monster took a step into the brilliant beam and towards recovery.

Coughing against the scorched and heavy air, still reeling from the last clobbering blow of Orsa's tail - to say nothing of the thunderous shockwave the monster had unleashed - Shinryu's sight was blurry and dim; but the gargantuan shape of the beast departing from the field was nigh impossible to miss.
Why the abomination would choose to withdraw now was beyond the serpent's understanding...but it would perhaps be wise to do the same. Orsa would recuperate as its foes did, yes; but they would return with understanding of its power, a keener sense of how to face the monster--and hope and resolve anew, having witnessed this beast driven to retreat. Hope and resolve that might spread among the onlookers of the UCA, possibly bringing forth more warriors to fight against this threat to all of existence.(OOC: Yes, I know the roster's already full. Shinryu's idea, not mine...if that makes sense.)
Hope and resolve...as had led the past victims of Shinryu's hunger for power to rise from defeat and despair, to fight to the last against odds overwhelming. To reclaim the lives they once knew and the futures they were yet to shape.
(May not the gods forsake you...) the former deity offered what would hopefully not be Mara's final benediction as she gave vengeful chase to Orsa, sensing that she would heed no suggestion to retreat now. Focusing and opening a riftway, Shinryu slipped quietly into the void, taking its own leave from the battle-torn field.

Pavoroc watches as Orsa Terminus disappears into the clouds.
“Hmph. Of course. As soon as you get hurt a little you run away like a coward. Typical.”
With that, the guardian bird turns around and flies back toward the Hub.

The toxic hero watched as his allies vanished, most likely taking chase after this largest specimen of quarry. He brushed dirt and debris from his chest before stretching out and flexing his right arm. He rolled his head then, realizing he was the last. “You’re not going anywhere.” He commented, leaping into the air and following Pavoroc.

Halcitrox wasted no time as he took off in pursuit of the beast. Orsa may have been leading, but he could not maintain that gap forever. The abomination would not leave Ujiak alive.

Behemoth growled, glaring at the wasteland around him. That creature was strong, he hated to admit. Yet this realization only strengthened the stubborn titan's moral. Ages ago, when he, Leviathan, and Ziz lived in peace alongside one another, it was their job to not only to rule over the mortals that worshiped them, but to protect them as well. Those mortals were long gone now, but his title lived on. If he, a living god, couldn't stop Orsa, who else would be left to cancel the apocalypse?
The earth shifted under his feet as Behemoth disappeared underground, following his allies.
