Crouching low, Nanook readied his right paw as Jake charged closer. He remembered a tactic used by an old opponent of his back on his own home world – a titan of metal. It had been used against him to nearly lethal effect, but the bear had escaped to live another day. But Nanook wasn’t a mindless beast. He had remembered that powerful enemy and its dangerous move, and now this same tactic would be used in his favor. Just before the fiery lizard could ram the bear, he sidestepped and brought his paw up in a mighty uppercut! The blow caught the charging dragon under the chin. The beast was thrown into a 180º flip from his own momentum. A sharp cry pierced the air as Jake crashed onto his back, skidding across the ice. His lower jaw hung open, bruised and bleeding. He winced at white-hot pain of teeth chipped and cracked. Nanook’s claws had dug bloody trenches across his lower jaw. Thankfully the blow hadn’t broken or dislocated his jaw, but none-the-less sharp jolts of pain tortured Jake as he moved it. Nanook had turned his attention to Utsuho. Thrusting with his hind legs, Nanook leaved into the air after the hell raven. His gigantic jaws slammed shut around Utsuho’s left shoulder, teeth sinking deeper into flesh and muscle as the titanic bite force crushed the poor bird. He fell back to earth, dragging the avian with him. From his moist coat grew a layer of ice that spread across his jaws, and huge icy fangs joined the bear’s own as they speared deep into the hell raven’s muscles. The polar bear shook his head like a rabid dog, and the icy daggers carved up the bird’s shoulder into a mess of torn flesh and fountains of blood. The bird’s own heat was burning the bear’s jaws, teeth and gums, but at this point Nanook was too lost in his ferocity to care. Sweet blood spurted into his mouth in the gallons, and the fangs of ice were just beginning to scratch the bone when the bear released the bird’s complete mess of a shoulder in order to avoid choking on that same blood, allowing her to fall limp at his feet. Lifting a paw, Nanook swatted the bird like a golfer would to a ball. The bird was sent flying beak first into Jake’s knee, causing the dragon to collapse with a cry of pain and sending painful cracks spider webbing up the bird’s beak, now stained with Jake’s blood. Pecking would be a painful procedure from this point on. Now it was the polar bear’s turn to charge. Spikes of ice growing from his skull to form dense horns, he bear-lled ( ) head first at Jake’s stomach…

OOC: Huh? This existed?
Utsuho staggered to her feet, eyes swirling and distorted. That... that had hurt. Her shoulder was a bleeding mess, a completely broken and bleeding wound that was dripping her blood upon the snowy ground. She preened her wound, just in time to hear jake howl in pain. She turned, and saw that the bear had gored him in the stomach with horns. With both fighters so close, and with more blood dripping, Utsuho's eyes flared up. NOW she was really mad. Treating her like a punching bag? HOW MEAN!
A loud whistle caught both fighter's attentions. Seeing as Jake was recovering from the deadly headbutt tot he stomach, Nanook was the one to turn, only to receive a fiery pillar straight to the face. Flesh and hair burnt as he was thrown onto his back, the beam not stopping as Utsuho wadded forward, determined to burn the bear down into the icy depths.
Thankfully for Nanook, that was when Jake made his move. He swiped Utsuho across the face with his armored tail, slashing through her flesh and feathers right below the eye, and causing her to reel back. Jake prepared to pounce, but was denied as Utsuho's body glowed brightly, blinding the dragon and the bear, who was rising up from his burns. With both fighters temporarily blinded, Utsuho surrounded herself with several miniature suns, each of them as large as she was, before hurning two of them down, one for each foe.
Nanook and Jake were thrown like ragdolls as the suns exploded, vaporizing the ice where they had exploded, revealing large bodies of water. Jake's scales and hide were sizzling, while Nanook looked like he had been thrown into an oven for a few hours, his fur aflame and the flesh beneath it charred. As they tried to recover, it was then that Utsuho flung the extra 3 suns down at the fighters...

Jake looked up in the air, momentarily entranced by the three suns coming his way. He stared up at them for a few seconds, before his mind cleared enough to realized what they were. In a panic he rolled to the side, just as Nanook did the same. The giant bear was much quicker on it's feet however, and was up and running out of the way, despite the flames still licking at his fur. Jake was not quite as lucky, as he could feel the energy wash over him as it collided with the ice next to him, the heat searing even more of his skin. He hissed in pain, but pushed himself to his feet. He felt the stolen emrgy surge within him, fueling the fires within, before scanning the sky for that blasted bird. Unfortunately for Jake, Nanook had other ideas. He slammed into Jake's side with a headbutt, nearly toppling the dragon once more, pushing adainst him with all his might.
Jake gased out in pain, digging his talons into the ice, trying to keep his footing as he was pushed further and further. Wth a growl, he spat a stream of flames into Nanook's face, bringing forth a cry of pain from the bear as he pulled awagy and began trying to put out the fire on his face. Jake wipped his wing open, smacking the bear with the sharp blade-like scales on them, knocking the near to the ground. He had once again lost track of his flying opponent, and immediately regretted it when he felt her claws straet tearing at the back of his head.
The Hell Raven tore at Jake's head, tearing at as much of her opponent as she couls. Try as he might, Jake could not catch the bird, even as he swung his own claws into the air to try and catch her. As Jake was flailing, Nanook began to rise, seeing the perfect chance to repay Jake for the burnt face. Ice formed around it's claws asit prepared to impale the dragon, who was starting to panic.
Having managed to attract the ire from both his opponent's, Jake was afraid he could lose once again...igniting memories of the thing from before. Remembering what had sone to the psychic creature Xenith before, Jake desperately brought his head towards the claws of the bird, ignoring the claw that nearly took his eye out, and chomped down on her leg. Not giving the Hell Raven a chance to retaliate, Jake pulled her from the sky, just as Nanook charged. Unfortunately for Nanook and Utsuho, Jake had pulled the bird down right into the bear's path, slamming the two together, Utsuho on top of Nanook. Gathering up the stolen energy, Jake took to the air. With a deep breath, Jake unleashed the power of the sun back on it's user, and the kaiju below her...

Utsuho flopped to the ground as Nanook vanished in a bright light. So... now it was just the two of them... this made it a lot easier for he-
And then, the solar blast hit.
It wasn't so much the actual solar properties that were causing the bird to scream as she was blasted down into the melting ice, but rather, the sheer raw power behind the hit. Blood splurted out of her mouth as it all exploded. everything went white...
Up in the air, Jake watched as the explosion faded. Good... that had gotten the bird. A shame the bear was gone, but atleast that meant he could focus everything he had on one target...
A fiery beam raced out of the clouds of dust and water vapor, and slammed into Jake head-first. The dragon was caught off guard, and the beam exploded against his head, burning right into the wounds she had inflicted earlier. Blood gushed out as the dragon collapsed toward the ground. Jake tried to catch himself in the air, but he was slammed into by a furious Utsuho, her beak pecking away at him furiously. Once more, it was the wounds being targeted, blood straining both the beak of the Hell Raven and the ever deepening wounds. A lucky swipe from Jake caused her to fly back, a new set of gashes running down her neck.
But that just gave her the space she needed to do her finale.
At once, the great bird's body erupted into flames and light. Jake watched as Utsuho's body was consumed into a living sun, and atomic fiery wisps billowed out as the sun grew larger and larger. The ice was cracking apart, and being sucked right in. even the waters were being pulled up, but that was only adding fuel to the living sun. Jake tried to brace himself, to fly away from it, but the gravity was too great. One flaming whip erupting from it lashed across his chest, carving a bloody wound across it. He couldn't even look at it... it was so bright... and so hot. Finally, he lost his battle with gravity, and was sucked into the artificial sun...
...just as it finally exploded out, sending all the energy and power it had right at the tumbling dragon...

Jake flew all the way across the arena, slamming into the icevat the edge of the black tornado. Blood pooled around him, tainting the pure white snow. For a moment, Jake considered just laying down to die, to let it all end. As soon as that thought crossed his mind howevet, it was immediately discarded. No! He would not give in, he would not lose again!
He slammed his claws into the ice and pushed himself up. Despite his grievous wounds, he rose up and looked back the way he came. He saw Utsuho, no longer covered in her miniature sun, and glared. He was ready to finish this.
Utsuho glared right back, angry that the dragon could still move, let alone stand. She was panting, that last attack, plus all the loss of blood loss from the rest of the battle tiring her out. It didn't matter to her though, she was still in good enough condition to finish this fight. With a shriek, she took off towards Jake, who merely stood by the flaming torndao that blocked any escape. He showed his claws, and roared, egging the Hell Raven on, as she continued to increase speed. Jake prepared himself as she got closer and closer. This was going to hurt.
Utsuho slammed into Jake as hard as she could, sending the both of them flying backwards, just as Jake had planned. Ge actually threw himself back when they collided, lessening the force of the impact. He dug his claws into the Hell Raven's skin, holding on with all his might as the psir was sucked into the black tornado.
As the two flew thriugh the tornado, Jake swung his tail at Utsuhi as hard as he could, piercing her skin several times, but not enough as he was hoping. Utsuho herself was in a frenzy, beating her wings furiously, trying to get out of her own trap. With Jake holding her so close, her three legs couldn't get a solid hit on the dragon, lacking the length if Jake's tail. She could however, peck his eye's out.
Utsuho jabbed at Jake's eye's shrieking furiously at the dragon's refusal to release her. She pierced the skin on his head teice, but was ultimately unable to get either of his eye's before she was enveloped by Jake's powerful wings. Jake was exhausted, no doubt, probably out of his own natural energy, but with an opponent like this, he didn't need his own energy. She had so much of it just swirling around them, not to mention the energy her own body gave off naturally! Jake could feel it coursing through his body, so he sent it coursing right back into hers.
Energy poured into Utsuho's body, coming from Jake's claws, wings, and even his mouth. She screeched in agony as the dragon gave her a taste of her own power, with seemingly no end. Jake's body could only channel so much energy however, and in a blast of energy, the two were seperated. They both were thrown around the torndao a little longer, before getting spit back into the center.
Utsuho struggled to rise, her nerves feeling like they were on fire. She could see Jake rising up as well, his burnt and torn body still crackling with energy. He limped towards her, gathering all the energy he could muster, and let loose one final blast...

"ATTENTION!" rumbled the Announcer. "ATTENTION! CEASE COMBAT! A WINNER HAS BEEN DECLARED! JAKE! THE WINNER IS JAKE THE FIRE SPITTER! NOW RETURN TO YOUR QUARTERS IMMEDIATELY!"
(Nanook's DQ was a real wild card here. While the bear spread out his damage output fairy evenly between his two foes before being ejected from the match, Utsuho tended to focus more on damaging him while Jake tended to damage Utsuho. So with the bear removed from the picture, Jake comes out on top, if just by a few hairs. The quality of Utsuho's damage against him combined with his habit of taking more than his one required attack made this a close match.)

OOC: Damnit. I had a gut feeling that I should have been focusing on Jake more... but Nanook was the FAR larger threat. so of course, all that damage went down the drain. LAAAAME! With that announcement, Utsuho's heart sank as did the light from Jake's attack. Even with the bear gone... she had lost. Why couldn't she win? Was she destined to loose? The bird's head dropped as well as she was taken away in a bright light....

OOC: Hooray! My first win! I figured Utsuho was more dangerous to Jake with her heat based attacks, so I focused more on her. Plus, all that energy gave a great opening for counter attack.
Jake roared in triumph, opening his wings and breathing a stream of flame directly into the air. He looked at the Hell Raven one last time before he too vanished in a flash of light, thinkinh about how much fun that turned out to be after all...
