It was a hard landing for them. Crigan was the first to hit rock ground with a hard thud, followed by Diamen and Mara landing on his back. Thankfully for him they were light as a feather compared to what he was used to having land on him. "Ugh... What happened?" Mara asked as she slid off the serpentine form of her husband. Crigan shook his head as he pried it out of the rocks... and was immediately confused. Large floating islands with forests on them... dark clouds of miasma billowing beneath them, a vertical waterfall spiraling upward toward an alien moon in the sky... This was the Distrotion World, not the UCA... Why on earth were they here? Shikieiki was supposed to have taken them back in time for the Championships, yet... they were here? Had a mistake been made? No, that wasn't possible. One simply did mot make a mistake when teleporting things through space and time. Otherwise, one could end up inside the heart of a sun, or in a black hole... add onto that, the Yama were supposed to be professionals at this...
"Great, another damn setback." Diamen grumbled, kicking a rock down into the poisonous clouds below. They had landed on a particularly large island, with a cliff overlooking them. As he approached one of the trees there, it shrunk away from him, only to reappear in a different place. "Mind telling me why we are in your favorite place, father? Did you have something to do with this?"
"No... I can't interfere with their powers... something else is at fault he-" Crigan stopped. There was something WRONG here... something that wasn't supposed to be here. He felt it, an all too familiar presence, one that was setting him on edge... but what was it? He twisted and turned, trying to identify the source of the anomaly. "Stay by me, both of you. There is something sinister at work here." He growled. The edge in his voice was all Diamen needed to know Crigan was not joking about this. He drew by his father's side, forming a long, jaded scythe from darkness gathered between his hands. Mara as well drew closer, turning into her fox form, electricity crackling....
"My my, what a delightful gathering we have here." A voice called down from above. The three looked up to the cliff top, and there stood the one person neither Crigan or Mara wanted to see at that moment. The florist was leaning on her parasol, smiling as her eyes hawked over them. "I never knew you had a son, Crigan... then again, seeing as you are married, I should have expected such a hero would do the act." She chuckled, before leaping down to them. The ground at her feet cracked and split under her, and she shoved the edge of her parasol into the rock. "Granted, I am only half the woman I am, with the rest of me getting trimmed up... but it's still enough to have some fun."
"What are you doing here in my realm, Yuuka?" Crigan snarled, flames gathering up in his maw. "Were you the one who disrupted the tele-" He stopped. He could see it, darkness billowing out from her mouth and nose. No... her entire body was leaking of it, the very essence he had sensed earlier... His eyes widened. "No... What are you doing!? Your tampering with dark forces beyond your control!" He stuttered, reeling back as if hit by a freight train. "That's Dark Energy coming from you!"
"Why yes, it is..." Yuuka purred as she hunched over. A sickening crunch sounded as her back swelled up, spreading further and further apart, until finally, flesh gave way. Two massive, golden wings burst forth from her back, and grasped the ground, acting as another pair of arms for her. Her skin was splitting down, and tearing apart, though it was as if she barely knew it was going on. "Let me give you a hint, Crigan... It was me who turned Armageddon into Orsa... but do you really think I had the power to do that myself, even with all the gods he consumed?"
"Y-Y-Your joking... This can't be... Your lying! You HAVE to be lying!" Crigan shouted, teeth gritted as he tried to do something, ANYTHING... to burn her alive for what she did, for what she was doing... but he was frozen, frozen in fear as the Dakr Matter overcame them. Likewise, Mara and Diamen could only stand there and shake as Yuuka Kazami's body finally gave way, and exploded out into thousands of pieces of flesh in a burst of Dark Energy...
And what stood there in her place, was a monster, a reptilian creature, shining like the brightest sun, mouth parted in an unearthy, nightmarish screech, a screech that filled Crigan's heart with dread and fear. The monster then snarled, and lunged forward at the group. "EVERYONE RUN!" Crigan shouted, as he took up to the sky. Mara and Diamen ran in opposite directions just as the lizard-like creature landed where they had been just moments before. it whirled around, and took off into the air after Crigan. The two were now locked in a chase , spinning and flying around structures, Crigan desperately trying to loose his chaser. He twisted around, and launched several fireballs at his pursuiter...
Only for them to be swatted aside by Salavance the Golden
As he tried to twist out of the way, Crigan gasped as his throat was grasped by one of the pincer-tails, the sharp inner edges slicing through his throat and lodged into his flesh. The dragon dove downward, and thrust his tails against the ground, smashing Crigan's face into the hard rocks. Again and again he smashed, crushing the golden mask he wore and splintering it further, until a large chunk of it broke, and dug into his forehead, causing eldritch blood to spill. Just as the dragon was about to throw him, a sharp pain ruptured into his side, forcing him to let go of the Legend. "Get your filthy claws off of my father... Only I can kill him, not you!" Diamen roared as he tried to dig the scythe's blade deeper into Salavance's side. One of the arm wings came down and swatted him aside, sending him sprawling head over heels in the dirt. As he rose, he saw the horrible creature pry his scythe out of its side, and snap it like a twig with that same wing, before chucking both halves of it down into the miasma. The dragon hissed in delight, its lower jaw parting into two halves before it lunged forward. Diamen rolled under it, and aimed his hand up at the underbelly of the creature, a blast of demonic energy ripping into its stomach. Salavance roared as it was blasted onto its side. As it tried to get up, it was greeted by a blast of pure energy from Crigan, throwing its head back and sending it toppling head over heels to the edge of the island.
Then... it shot up with a flick of its wings, and flew down toward them, Dark Energy radiating from its golden body. Crigan waited until the last moment, then unleashed his Fiery Blast from his mask at the titan. Salavance, however, rolled to the side, as if anticipating the hit, before plowing into both Crigan and Diamen, its jaws clamped down around the neck of the latter, while its wings dug into the flesh of the former, shaking them around like ragdolls. Blood gushed from the wounds, and the two thrashed and flailed about, trying to free themselves, but it was as if they were caught in beartraps. Salavance reared back on its hind legs, and prepared to dash Crigan's body against the ground...
A lance of electricity shot through its hide, downing the monster. Salavance let go, and it slumped onto its legs once more, all 6 eyes burning red with hate. It turned to where the blast had come from, only to receive another one straight to the head, blinding it with electrical power. "GET AWAY FROM THEM YOU BITCH!" Mara howled, leaping upon the Reincarnation of Light and Darkness. Her claws dug into Salavance's skin, and she clamped down, electricity surging into the beast's hide. The monster flailed about and screeched, taking to the air as it tried to dislodge the fox. Mara dug in, and held for dear life, even as the pincers curled back and clamped into her own flesh. They began to rub back and forth, acting like saws that sliced into her, spilling blood and cutting through flesh and bone, until finally, they ripped her off and cast her down to the ground. Mara's body hit the rocks below with a loud CRUNCH, blood dripping from her mouth. Salavance flew down, and raised up a clawed wing. Dark Energy began to flow through it, and it smashed it down into her side, sending a cascade of blood, flesh, and fur flying as the fox's body exploded.
As it turned to deal with the others, powerful jaws clamped around its throat, and magic hammered into its undersides. Salavance frothed at the mouth, before ripping Crigan off of it. A pincer japed itself into Diamen's side, and hurled him into his father. A swift blast of Dark Energy later, and the two were laying on the same heap as Mara, bloodied, bones sticking out and broken, and their crown all neatly piled infront of them. Salavance shook its head and hissed, eyes narrowing, before it turned and walked away...
"Why... Why don't you finish us off?" Crigan gargled on his own blood, bringing back the attention of the dragon. It turned back to face him, mouth open ever so slightly. "You brought me back from the dead... and now you nearly kill me and my family... Why? What is your purpose? TELL ME!" Crigan coughed, before he passed out.
"No need to tell them." Yuuka's voice reached the dragon. It turned to see that the piles of flesh had reformed back into its original host, who seemed none the worse for wear, especially considering what had happened. "They will find out soon enough. You were only testing them to see if they could be a threat to us, and they are not. They had failed to fully heal from their wounds inflicted by Orsa, so you made easy work of them. Besides, you got your revenge for what Crigan did to you, so now you are even. Take them to their rooms in the UCA, and let them heal. The fox has a fight coming up, and I want them to see the darkness that has only started to fall on the arena."
The creature was silent. it walked over to the unconscious bodies, and picked them up, before throwing them onto its back. It looked back over at Yuuka Kazami, only to see she had left already. Was the plant to be trusted? Would it carry out her end of the bargain? Then again, she HAD saved it when it was dying from those wounds...and had allowed herself to be used as a vessel to regain its strength... It shook its head. That was not of its concern at the moment. The creature flew off, both the crowns in its feet as it warped off to the UCA....
