Name: Quell Am
Height: 20 feet
Weight: 3 tons
Wingspan: 53 feet
Gender: Female
Species: Kryralonian
Age: 497 (20)
Appearance: Like all Kryralonians, her skin is a hardened, smooth, marble-like carapace, flexible at the joints and covering her entire body. She is tall for a sapient mortal being and would be considered statuesque and shapely by most, but by Kryralonian standards, she's closer to "average height" and "curvy".
Quell's wings are powerful and sleek, spanning more than twice her height. While not exactly feathered, they are composed of large, segmented sections that greatly resemble the defined flight-feathers of certain birds of prey. The "feathers" darken to charcoal gray near the tips with speckles of light-grey and white scattered across their surface.
Her face is mostly humanoid, though with no hair, backwards-curved horn-like ears, and luminescent yellow eyes. A holographic implant sits over her eye and the right side of her face, glowing blue when active and providing her with a connection to the intergalactic information network, which is basically a much, much, much more advanced version of the internet that encompasses thousands of worlds and holds trillions of terabytes of data. She uses it to stay in touch with her home-planet and superiors and, when she has time and is reasonably certain no one's watching , to play V.R. sims, watch flicks, and interact with her friends.
As their reproductive parts are hidden by their armored skins, Kryralonians very seldom don clothes save for battle-armor or badges signifying rank. Thus, Quell is technically "butt-naked" and probably distracting to some of the UCA's more hormonal residents, both especially because of and despite her exotic features and wings.
While this annoys her to no end, Quell is far too stubborn to copy the "lesser" mortal races and put on their ridiculous cloth-coverings.
Personality:
The "mysterious grey-winged figure", Qell Am was the former supervisor of the civilian exploration and mining vessel Cerataurus attacked. When the ship's objective was de-railed on her watch, she was removed from her position and assigned to play Cerataurus' watch-dog after pleading for the creature's life when her superiors simply wished for her to destroy it.
Extremely proud of having attained such a high rank at such a young age, Quell is bitter about her re-assignment and considers it beneath her; an undeserved punishment for the crime of trying to be a good person. Nonetheless, she feels a deep-down responsibility for the creature. Kryralonians have a long history of supplying the UCA with monsters. They colonize and process new systems and galaxies rapidly, and it is not uncommon for them to find fearsome monsters during their ventures.
Quell Am is headstrong, stubborn, and idealistic and often seems haughty and arrogant. While she does have a good deal of pride at her accomplishments and "status" as a Kryralonian, one of the oldest and most powerful non-divine species in the multiverse, much of her bravado serves only to cover up her insecurities about her perceived failures and shortcomings as a person and a captain.
Beneath her snarky, sarcastic exterior, Quell is anxious and afraid to be in a place like the UCA. She's heard rumors and stories about the many great and terrible beings it houses and wants little to do with them. In her eyes, the place is closer to a prison for the too-strong and too-large than a "fighting league" or whatever they call it.
Trivia:
-Like all of her species, Quell is extraordinarily durable and will live to to more than a hundred thousand years of age if she does not die of unnatural causes or choose to have her body altered and her live further extended as some very important or wealthy members of her species often do.
-Her wings emit powerful thermal currents, allowing her to glide effortlessly once she has reached her desired altitude.
-Like all of her kind, she views the world in seven different primary colors as opposed to the three humans are limited to.
-While relatively weak and soft by her species' standard, Quell is capable of lifting nearly ten times her own weight, though she has very little skill or experience as a fighter.
-Quell is a skilled flier with reaction-times that border on "instantaneous". She is impressive even by her species extremely high standards in this regard and wished to be a military fighter-pilot when she was a child.
-While she has only cursory knowledge of other species and dimensions, she finds domesticated earth-cats adorable, as they bear a resemblance to young Kryralonian children.
