Portions of the fabled Hall of the Beasts had crumbled.
However, this did not stop the Mehrksis in their search for the members of the Order of the Beast Blood. Long ago, the Order was formed, consisting of powerful individuals that worshipped the Beasts and protected them. One of these was the poisoned warrior Gaiyan, Gadon’s protector. Though she was a pleasant being, she was even more dangerous, as she possessed the same toxins as the Walking Wasteland – it was both a blessing and a curse. Legions of enemies would fall to her feet when her toxins were put into play, but the same would happen to innocents by accident.
Amidst the ruins was the injured frame of the warrior, only her gauntleted hand sticking out. It had been difficult to pull her out of there, as a large column had fallen on her and its broken edges had stabbed into her chest, caving the ribs inwards - but the Mehrksis and their technology could rather easily take care of such grievous wounds. They had replaced her ribs with ones made out of Mehrksis alloy and sewn her split cloak back together, but more importantly, they had repaired her broken jaw. Split in two halves and forming tusks, it had never healed, forcing the alien to breathe painkillers to remove the pain. It was fortunate that she had not yet regained consciousness when her jaw was replaced, after thousands of years, with the same alloy used for her ribs.
When she did awake, she found herself confused and overwhelmed just like Isaarker before her. She was not simply in a different time, now. She was in an entirely different dimension, universe, than her own.
----
The warrior stepped slowly as a energetic door faded to let her in. There, the Beast came to rejoin her. No words were needed for them to express their joy upon being reunited after so long.
This is currently a closed thread, but Gaiyan will be up for Hub interactions soon. When she is, I will open the thread. I'll have her move to the cafeteria so she can try her new jaw. Heh.
Honestly, I think my post is... underwhelming, but I was supposed to do it for a month or two now, and I just wanted it done.
