Laeptus couldn't help but let a smile etch its way across his hidden face as he did the finishing touches on the repaired door. As soon as Beelzebub had bolted, he had gone ahead and used what power he had to fix it up and place a seal on it, one that would keep the fallen angel at bay. He wanted no one to interfere with this... no one.
"Now, where were we?" The hooded entity said as he turned back to Selstar. "Ah yes, we were discussing the ramifications of Abbadon's inability to even do the most basic of orders without going on a rampage."

The Ophorus sneered under his mask. "And you think an instinctive, wild animal will follow your every command? What's more, Abaddon is not the only one that must overcome the ever present obstacle of nethereal corruption, Laeptus. And what's more, you foolishly, without pausing to consider the ramifications, decided to use the aethereal blood of a god."
He crossed his arms. "It's only a matter of time before your little chemistry experiment blows up in your face."

"I KNOW that Scylla will do whatever it is commanded to. Hellfire wyrms operate on an imprinting system, not unlike that of ducks or geese. Those it views as its parent,s it will obey every command of, and I made sure to have it view Lord Persephone, Tyralus, and I as its parents. I have even tested it in the lab. obedience is at 100 percent, no doubts or disloyalty at all." He stepped closer to the Allari, looming over him as his red eyes shone brightly past the dark hood.
"And there is no chance of the bioweapon imploding upon itself. All simulations and data suggest that the resulting mixture, while somewhat volatile, is not fundamentally stable. While there are negatives to it, they are outweighed by the positives, and present a far better finished product than the bucket of bolts you created"

Unbeknownst to either of them, a spectral being lurked in the shadows of the realm observing the two bicker with curiosity...

The Ophorus jabbed a finger in Laeptus' chest. "Parenthood means nothing to the corruption of nether, Laeptus. It's love will only provide the nether with a place to start. A machine has no love, no emotions what-so-ever that can be corrupted. An empty husk is far more resistant to nether than a living soul will ever be."

"You fail to understand, Allari." Laeptus swatted the hand aside. "The Hellfire Wyrm are MADE of Hellfire. They ARE composed of Nether, unlike your tin robot. It runs no risk at all from corruption, and infact, the Aetheral injection allows it to perform at an optimal level.. without becoming the playtoy of those who CAN control Nether."

Selstar shook his head.
"Machines are more advanced than your animal in every way. Abaddon knows no fear, no pain, no hunger, no exhaustion. It obeys any order that is commanded of it without hesitation. And it requires no training. What would take a soldier of flesh and bone months or years to study, learn, and master can be downloaded into its programming in an instant. Meanwhile your abomination can rely only on its animal instincts and its, what, parental bonds?"
He snickered.
"There is only one inevitable conclusion, Laeptus. Your creation is just simply... outdated. A primitive, prehistoric relic born in a an advanced age. Persephone will soon come to this realization, and mark my words, when she does, you will find your pet replaced by that which is simply better."

"newer does not always mean better, Selstar." Laeptus warned the Allari. "While there are indeed many mechanical drones in her service, most provided by her benefactor Countess Lilith, the fact remains that the core of her army is still flesh and blood. A machine can be stopped with a simple EMP, and requires additional enhancements to resist, plus a machine does not learn, it is only as good as you build it. Scylla, and the main forces of Persephone's army, can indeed learn, and adapt on the fly, while with your Abaddon, this adaptability can only come after a defeat, which is far too late."
The being turned every so slightly. "And who is to say, that your warrior, your creation is not the outdated one? Scylla was created with state of the art technology and power, while your prototypes are showing the limitations of machination."

"Had truly been 'state of the art', your beast would be a proper Hellfire Hydra, not the genetic mutant of scales and flesh. Your creation is inferior compared even to its ancient ancestors. And without substantial hellfire on this planet I fear its greatest strength is rendered useless."
Selstar stepped forward until he was only inches from Laeptus.
An unprotected machine might be stopped by an EMP, but an animal can be killed easily with the proper toxin. Life is weak, soft, easily crippled. Piece an organ, sever an artery, and it's done for. Abaddon lacks such vital internals. It is a beast of armor and nether, a beast that can press on despite the damage it accumulates.

"Are you sure of that?" Laeptus responded, a single metallic hand pointing at Selstar. "Scylla does not require outside hellfire to tap into its greatest power... it IS its own hellfire generator, and can use it even in the most barren of environments, unlike your ABaddon, who without things to throw, is helpless against a mere bird flying outside of its range. Also, a creature like Scylla can understand when a situation does not benefit its well being, and knows when to retreat. Abaddon, is too single minded to do that, and will only claw itself toward ruin in a bad ending. There lies the ultimate difference between our creations. One can think and improvise, the other is restricted by programming."

"And when one can think," said Selstar. "One can learn to disobey. One can learn betrayal."
He turned to gaze upon one of the screens showcasing the brawler match. "But I digress. There is only one way to truly prove Abaddon's superiority..."

"Even if we were to test our creations against one another, there are far too many variables to take into account for a proper judging." Laeptus was quick to point out. "Especially in regards to the ones doing the judging. We would have to perform numerous test runs to gain the best possible results on who is the superior, and based on the time table Lord Persephone has wanted things to go from, it is simply inadequate and inefficient. I could run simulations of both of our creations in a fraction of the time, and see who wins out over a hundred controlled experiments."
