Ketosvs. HeraThe selected combat area is a large pool, about two thousand meters or so across. There are many ice structures around the pool, as well as a towering glacier in the middle of it. The sides of the pool are fairly steep, meaning that while Ketos could hide beneath the ice, he would not be able to attack Hera while doing so. The environment gives both combatants suitable weaponry and cover for their respective fighting styles. Ref: Needed

After the virtual massacre of being half devoured at the teeth and claws at Carcharius, Hera barley survived. Missing much flesh and blood, she recovered fully, but with heavy scarring. Of course afterwords, she flipped her shit and went wild again. The short burst lasted a bit while longer due to her unusual amount of rage of being nearly killed and eaten. EATEN! Crypy Dragons were not prey, THEY WERE PREDATOR. AND KINGS. Queens... Whatever, she didn't care.
But she succumbed to the drugging gas...
Now on this day... the gas was cut off. Teleported to an cold surface, she awoke... and was more pissed then ever! Taken from her warm cage and set in sub-zero temperatures would piss off any animal.
As soon as she became aware, she flew atop a high icy shelf overlooking the hole in the ice hat led to the cold waters underneath, and she screamed a long howl that would echo off the glaciers and ice in a truly chilling cry of hate for everything that exists. The cold howling wind and snow picking around her gave a forbidding image...
Today... her foe... WILL, burn.

Appearing in a flash of electronic light, Ketos gave a low hiss of annoyance as he realized where he was.
"Oh good, this damned place again..."
Huffing, the vast dragon clenched a fist, lips curling to show his many needle-like teeth. Usually he would put up a greater show of his anger, but what was the point? This 'UCA' seemed determined to make him suffer. The memory of the tropical paradise he had first done battle in seemed only to tease and taunt him now. Then again, the memory of anything that wasn't freezing would seem that way while in this icy wasteland.
A tremendous screech interrupted Ketos's sulking.
Soaring into view with a great bellow that birthed a rush of flames and smoke into the world, Hera screamed at Ketos again, focusing all her hatred for existence on the aquatic titan. Likewise, Ketos narrowed his glowing crimson eyes at the winged squamate. With a mix of rage and delight, the sea monster found he recognized this one.
"You."
Hera gave a piercing wail, as if confirming her identity.
"You are the noisy brute that always raised absolute Hell when brought back from a duel. You, my dear, have caused me several sleepless nights with your nonstop wailing and roaring."
Ketos gave a broad, toothy grin.
"And now, you will pay."

Hera shrieked some words that, as far as Ketos could guess, was a similar language since he understood part of it. A hint of draconese and some other bubbly words that were foreign.
But there was time to guess what the words were. Flames flowed out from her parted jaws. With a loud scream, Hera began spitting hellfire like a meteor shower! No reservation, for she was cold blooded and already short on her temper this time around. Ketos was quick and began jumping side to side as the explosives struck the ice with thunderous noise. The ice under the sea dragon cracked and split, giving way to the force and heat. But this was not lost on Ketos, and he used the steam and vapor to hide himself.
Hera opened her wings and took to the air. Blood crazed to begin with, she rushed at the cloud. Little did she know Ketos was waiting. As soon as she came in reach, a sheet of water rose and slammed into her body. This made her falter, letting Ketos to lunge out and latch onto the squamata dragon with his claws. Fool! he cried as clenched the females jaws shut with one arm. Here I though that I was the last great dragon, but here I am with another! Yet, yee are so foolish to charge head on with no plan! His claws came out. Now, you die!
Almost jinxed, Hera's tail and come up, wrapped around Ketos's leg and yanked him off his footing. He stumbled, and before he knew it, Hera's jaws had found his vulnerable throat. Running his mouth instead ended up costing him dearly. Hera wasted not a second. Her head began to thrash and jerk, sawing her teeth deep into the demons neck. Ketos was gagging and struggling as blood welled into his mouth. If he didn't get loose soon, he was going to end up having his throat torn out.
Both claws came up and he grabbed tight of the toothy maw of the mad beast. He pushed and pulled, and finally with much effort he pulled the dragon off. Now he was trying to keep her off as Hera kept pushing forward to get her teeth right back into the sea monsters flesh. OH NOT YOU DON'T! One good heave and Ketos pulled Hera's momentum around and slammed her jaws into the ice instead. Ketos took advantage of the situation and jumped onto her back, trying to pin her. Females bow before there superior males. NOW BOW DOWN, BITCH! Seemingly every time this happened to her, and every time came the same routine. Bucking Bronko. Hera began to thrash and throw herself around, giving Ketos a hard time of keeping her pinned. Problem was that he was bigger than her. Since thrashing won't work, she threw her head back and managed to catch thumb, which made him cry out in pain. With more thrashing, Hera got out from underneath the dragon and let go of his hand. She rose a claw and smashed Ketos in the face before taking to the air seconds later.
Ketos cursed and spat as he held his thumb. The twisting and thrashing sprained it. It hurt, but it worked. That skank! He looked up, seeing her come back for him again with extreme speed. As she past over, she began spitting balls of fire.
Once more Ketos moved out of the way and avoided the explosions. One thing was clear: he would have to be on his toes if he was going to get anywhere in this fight. So that meant using the unforgiving cold water, much to his displeasure. He broke into a run and headed for the waters edge.
Overhead, Hera was coming again with fire pouring from her mouth in anticipation to blowing this arrogant foe into oblivion.

Gritting his fangs together in frustration, Ketos wheeled around to face the flood of flames gushing from Hera's maw. Throwing up his arms with a great roar of effort, the sea dragon summoned a towering wall of water to leap from the pool behind him. The flames and the water met in a burst of steam, the polar forces hissing even more than the two combatants as they battled, the duel stretching on for a few moments. Then, at the same time, Hera had to let up on the rush of blazing fire and Ketos was forced to drop his salty barrier to conserve energy. He had a feeling that this was going to be along fight...
Glaring into the thick cloud of steam that hung in the air, hiding Hera from his crimson gaze, Ketos called out.
"Come out and face me, scum! I will show you why I am the lord all all waters!"
A jet of fire erupted from the steam, very nearly engulfing his head. The marine titan flinched in shock. Then, a wide, nasty grin snaked across his muzzle, needle-sharp teeth gleaming in the harsh arctic sunlight. Ketos hacked out a quick laugh.
"Feisty brute, aren't you!"
The amused call quickly became a bellow as Hera herself came shrieking from the fading steam!
With a vicious snarl, the savage flier sunk her fangs deep into Ketos's forearm, sinuous body looping around the other dragon's waist in a snug hold. Ketos hollered in pain and rage, furiously trying to shake the rabid she-beast off. Snorting, the Demon of the Deep swung the dragoness around in a broad circle, smashing her through an ice structure. The frozen spire shattered and Ketos felt a sharp breath of pain bite into his bleeding flesh, but Hera held firm, only crunching down harder in retaliation. Howling in fury, Ketos lunged down and delivered his own bite, teeth gnashing against one of Hera's horns. A few of his fangs managed to catch the winged squamate's scalp as well. Hera panicked, feeling how the pressure of the sea monster's jaws tugged at her skull. To prevent her horn from fracturing or even snapping off, the airborne berserker tore away from the other dragon, both taking good chunks from the other.
Spitting out a bit of Hera's scalp with curled lips, Ketos bellowed at the other giant.
"TREACHERY! You!" The Tyrant of the Seas jabbed an angry finger at Hera. "You are no true dragon! You may be a dragon in form, even in prowess, but you are not truly a dragon! You couldn't be! Your flesh taste of the lizards and serpents that drag themselves across the land, and your blood just as much."
The outraged beast raised his bleeding forearm, thrusting it as Hera indignantly.
"THIS is a true dragon's blood! You are nothing more than a hollow impression, a sad imitation. Your very existence insults the noble race of my ancestors!" The raging demon sneered. "You even dare to mangle the tongue of dragons. Simply shameful!"
Hera, not knowing or caring what Ketos was going on about, threw herself forward with a screech. Less talking, more violence! Happy to comply, the sea dragon brought up a closed fist like a hammer. Directly below the pouncing Hera, a stream of water did much the same, exploding from the ice and slamming into the flying reptile's gut. Doubling over and wheezing out a strained breath, Hera collapsed onto the cold ice. Stomping forward with a low growl, Ketos raised a foot to bring smashing down on the mongrel's skull...

Hera screeched as the huge foot came down like a ton of bricks. He stomped again and again, leaving Hera dazed and stunned. "Pathetic mutt..." Ketos reached down and grabbed both of Hera's horn. He lifted up and pulled Hera around and around, bringing up moment. Releasing her, he let her body fly into another, yet hollow ice structure. Not one to leave loose ends, he lifted his claws up and gestured, as if pulling a rope. On command the ice shattered an broke. Ice was still water, and he had some control. The monolith of ice collapsed down upon the flying terror.
Ketos snorted. "I, AM, VICTORIOUS!", he cried out into the arctic wastes. Save for the howling wind that wiped up the snow, all was quiet. "I wish to go home. Take my back to my warm pile of gold."
From the pile of crumbled ice, a bright orange glow caught the blue behemoths eyes. It grew, brighter and brighter. Both of Keto's eyes widened. "No, I killed her..." he mumbled. "I am the winner!
The ice turned a crimson flame color. Steam erupted from the cracks... With a violent explosion, a mushroom cloud of super-hot water rocketed into the sky. The explosion was earsplitting as the hot water vapor demanded to expand, making the crack of thunder sound like a pin-drop compared. And rising in the steam, shadow casting against the warm mist, Hera's red eyes of hate gleamed through, piercing Ketos's soul. With a gulp, Ketos stepped back. "A devil in her own right. But I will defeat her and be victorious yet. No mongrel will best me!"
All the fury she had, Hera shot out of the wall of mist like a bullet. Ketos brought up his guard, but Hera was upon him already. She had slammed into him, jaws finding the webbed ear of her enemy and part of his scalp. Her jaws made short work of the sandpaper flesh, and she had ripped part of his scale and the ear clean off his head! The pain made Ketos scream. He tried to fight back, but Hera was all over him with her claws and teeth. Hera's teeth found anchor on his muzzle, the jaw pressure tearing in into his facial flesh.
Well he had enough of this. She was in the right spot; a blast of hot steam erupted from his nostrils and up into his attackers face. Hera recoiled as her eye was hit with the hot water. Ketos took this moment to bring this flying beast to his word. He focused hard, and slammed his tail down. The ice under them cracked and caved. The combined weight pulled them down and both became submerged.
The cold water was a shock to them both, but Ketos could cope. Hera panicked and released. However the ice above was already freezing back into place with how cold it was in the air, so Hera bolted for the gigantic opening that wasn't far off.
Of course, Ketos wasn't about to let her get away. Made for water, he shot after her like a torpedo. She was going to pay for scaring his noble face. The blue beast dived down, then started swimming up from below like a Great White Shark. Hera was a pretty good swimmer, but not like Ketos. Only a few meters tot he air, Ketos slammed into from underneath. The ice above gave way, and both monsters went airborne.
Hera gagged and hit solid ice, rolling along. Likewise, Ketos rolled too. Unlike Hera who was still getting up, Ketos was smug and gleeful of teaching that false dragon a lesson. "Let that be a lesson to you, mutt.
With her rage building, Hera righted herself and screamed at Ketos with a wall of fire. The sudden amount of flame caught him off guard. His entire body was enveloped in the fire flames. Both his arms came up to guard his face, but little good that did. His wet skin that was use to being moist was heating up an drying in the most painful way. He tried pulling away, but his skin still screamed from drying and crackling. this cold weather didn't help.
As Ketos pulled away, Hera let up from breathing fire and threw herself at him again for another ripping.

As Hera streaked down like a living arrow of flames and talons, Ketos's finned tailed swung up to meet her. Only a spilt second before she could latch herself onto the other dragon and filet anything she got a hold up, the shark-like fin slapped hard into her jaw, knocking her aside with her own teeth stabbed up into the soft gums. Skidding across the ice with a bellow of defiance, Hera jabbed a talon at the frozen ground, digging in deep and bringing herself to a stop. Blood dribbling from her mouth and lips curling, the winged hell-raiser let out a savage hiss at Ketos. He would pay for that.
As the squamate began picking herself up, wings flaring powerfully, Ketos smirked, one blood red eye crinkling up.
"I think not."
The dragon's jaws parted. A brutal stream of water gushed from Ketos's gullet and closed the distance in seconds, slamming into Hera's skull with tremendous force. Any cry of pain from the flying reptile was completely drown out by the deafening sound of water pummeling flesh. Sliding back helplessly across the tundra, Hera was pushed into the crater punched into the ice by the two's earlier combat. With a shocked yelp, the berserk she-beast dropped into the freezing ocean.
Grinning ear to.. no, scratch that. Ketos's mouth curled down a bit. Hera had relieved him of one ear. And scorched his bladed hide. The little frown became a full-blown grimmace. That had hurt like hell. A dangerous gleam entered the dragon's eyes. He'd just have to make the she-devil hurt more. Much, much more. Wicked smile returning in full, Ketos chuckled darkly, claws clenching in anticipation.
The ice directly before his creaked and groaned suddenly, a dark shape below it. The sea monster's mouth curved down again. Ketos didn't even have time to get off a full swear before the ice erupted.
Bursting fromthe icy water with a piercing scream, Hera lashed out!
Ketos was clobbered hard across the face by a flailing wing, a few of his teeth sent spiraling from his gaping maw. Collapsing sideways, the Demon of the Deep could only snarl in outrage as Hera fell atop him. Gluing herself to the marine titan with claw and fang, the shrieking squamate tore away at Ketos, working her way through his deep blue hide. With a great roar, Ketos thrust a set of his talons up into the reptile's softer underside. Feeling the blood trickle onto his frost-numbed fingers, the oceanic beast dragged upward, opening up more of Hera. Although she squirmed in agony, the demonic creature refused to give up her gory perch so easily. Hollering in rage, Ketos stoped a great foot, shattered and cracking ice with his anger. In response, two massive pillars of water exploded from the sea bellow, one on either side of the dueling giants. As the Tyrants of the Seas gave a crazed laugh, the two towering massed of water arched down, trained directly on the bickering dragons.
If Ketos couldn't claw Hera off, he'd blast her off with the full might of the ocean!

Water came down like a waterfall... well, it was a waterfall in some perspective, but the power was greatly increased. Despite the power, Hera wasn't giving up... not without a fight. Claws and teeth that had dug deep gave.. and gave... annnd finally Hera had no choice but to let go.
The dragon burst from the tower of water that was coming down, flying high into the air to breath and come back around. But Ketos stayed in his column of water. He was far from done. Spreading his arms, the waterfall virtually froze in it's spot. With just a gesture, the water began spinning into a raging cyclone. All the water that came down formed into a water violent waterspout. With the speed and turbulent spinning, the water was super-cooling at a fast rate. Any moment it would freeze. Perfect. Hera was coming back at full speed. Ketos guided the tunnel of water straight at the dragon. Hera was struck hard and sent flying back, with the corkscrewing motion pushing against her.
Within seconds, all of the water had frozen into a perfect and oddly beautiful spiraling spire of ice; Hera inside.
Ketos trilled in delight as he walked around the base of the structure. "A true thing of beauty I will love to have in my collection, if I do say so myself." Indeed the ice looked gorgeous. Almost like it was made of sapphire and diamond. But the beauty did not last. Hera's shape was engulfed in a red glow and soon the whole spire turned from placid sapphire, to fiery ruby as fire filled the hollow tunnel at the center of the ice tower. With no warning at all, Hera shot down the shaft, sections of the ice exploding into fiery eruptions in he wake, until she came down to the bottom.
A defiant cry was cut off as Ketos again had this terrible creature in his face. Hera came out of the ice, jaws gaping and slamming shut on his lower jaw. Both monsters hit the icy hard, but Hera kept moving. In fact, she ended up doing a barrel-roll. Ketos screamed as the flesh on the left side of his lower jaw was twisted and pulverized into what resembled hamburger meat. Hera finished by ripping a chunk of the flesh off, revealing Ketos's lower jaw bone to an extent.
Ketos reached up, holding his wounded jaw and screaming every single curse word in every single language that he ever learned. Hera worked the flesh in her jaws. A few snaps of her teeth and she swallowed the meat she tore off. Tad fish, but tasted greatly of marine carnivore. Much like Sea Lion or Walrus. Maybe a tad taste of shark, too.
Ketos eyes turned and glared with his ugly grimace. One side was torn by the ear and now a chunk of his other side had his lower jaw showing. You retched mudblooded lizard, I'LL KILL YOU! Ketos threw himself at her, swiping a claw, but missing. Hera was smaller and faster. Having moved tot he side, and lunged as soon as Ketos came forward. He jaws bore into his vulnerable side and she began jerking her head around to rip another chunk out of him.
But two can play that game. Ketos turned as he felt her teeth and grabbed her wing. What goes around literally comes around; Ketos bore his teeth down into her wing. the blood flowed, tasting greatly of something powerful... what he was tasting was mutagenic blood. not that he knew Hera had that.
Hera pulled more at Keto's flesh, but let go a moment after and threw her jaws at his head. Ketos pulled away, and swiped the fiery monster across the face.
Of course that only antagonized her more. Hera backed up after being clawed across the horns and pulled her head back, working up a powerful stream of flame.

Ketos reared back with a roar as a wall of flames slammed into him, the hellish blaze curling and contorting to wrap around his drawn back shape. The intense heat was quickly drying out his bladed skin, little crack that spat steam appearing all across it. Scowling, the sea monster turned tail and ran. He hated to resort to such a... to such a human tactic, but it was better than roasting alive. With a slap of his finned tail, Ketos made a great leap, feet thrusting forward to lead the entry into his element.
SPLASH!
Hera's flames were doused in her throat as an wave of water- given a bit of a push by Ketos- washed over her, soaking the reptile to the bone. It did no harm, but was a distinctively unpleasant surprise. Watching the she-devil's stunned look from just beneath the surface with a wide grin, Ketos kicked away, lashing tail powering him towards the center of the pool. Great draconic kings above, the chilled water felt good running over his burns! A dark shadow passed overhead, making the dragon's crimson eyes flick upward. But that wasn't why he was here. He was here for the home field advantage. And it looked as if his foe had taken the bait.
With a wicked, snake-like smile, the Tyrant of the Seas dove, sinking deep into the cold depths.
Soaring high above the pool that defined the battlefield, Hera bellowed with anger. She had just watched her hated foe disappear from sight. Oh, how the winged squamate wished she could have screamed down and torn the arrogant beast to bits! Not even she was thoughtless enough to plunge headfirst into what seemed to be her foe's realm though. An airborne fire-breather against an aquatic titan that seemed to control the ocean itself underwater? That was a duel that had only one possible outcome. Banking to swing back around and cross the pool again, Hera hissed in fury. Fine. She'd just have to... ugh, wait for the damnable thing to show itself again.
She wouldn't have to wait long.
Standing on the ocean bottom, Ketos closed his eyes and gathered his strength. When the glowing eyes opened again, they were replaced by blood red flames that shone brightly even in the murk of the depths. The water around the marine juggernaut began to swirl, slowly at first, but rapidly gaining speed and power. As the great spiral grew, Ketos was carried up by it, seated firmly in the center of its influence. The vortex, which was now vast, yet still clung to the seabed, suddenly released all its energy upwards. With an explosion of bubbles and foam, Ketos shot upwards in a massive spire of water! The thin, concentrated whirlpool launched the Demon of the Deep up at high speeds, faster than any being could hope to ever achieve alone. As the flickering lights of the surface closed in, Ketos smirked, a deadly gleam entering his eyes. This was going to be good.
Ketos erupted from the sea like a water-powered rocket!
Hera, jaw lack and eyes wide, made no move to avoid the incoming giant. Instead, she only doubled over with a screeching wheeze as Ketos smashed into her exposed gut. Rolling limply to the side, the hell-raiser groaned as a stream of blood leaked from her maw, sprinkling the water below with frozen drops of her life essence. With a flick of his tail, Ketos spun in midair, his back now skyward and his narrowed eyes trained on the plummeting Hera. With a cry that was half laughter and half roar, the sea dragon loosed a great geyser of water than hammered the fiery berserker like a solid blow.
Driven down faster by the brutal flow of water, Hera could only shriek as she hit the water hard enough to split skin and tear flesh.
Now falling himself, Ketos straightened out his body, resistance dropping and speed spiking. Shooting down toward the surface like an arrow, the smirking dragon chuckled as he noticed a dark blob growing larger and more defined beneath the surface. What a lucky break. Or unlucky, depending on who you were. Entering the water like a torpedo, the undersea kind smacked straight into the ascending Hera, stunning her and knocking the hollow imposter of dragonkind back down towards the deep. More blood joined the crimson cloud that hung in the water. Writhing in utter frustration, Hera let out a silent scream, bubbles gushing from her open jaws. She had almost reached the surface! Lunging forward with a kick of his long tail, Ketos made a charge at the struggling crypt dragon, fangs and talons eager to repay the she-beast for what she did to his face...

Hera broke the surface of the water and crawled onto the ice. However, she was grabbed from behind as Ketos burst out of the water and latched onto her tail with his claws and teeth. Hera yelped and dug her claws into the ice. Now she had to hold on to prevent herself from being yanked back in. Ketos was pulling hard against the edge with his back claws. It was a game of tug-o-war, with Hera's valuable tail being the rope. One pulling, another anchoring. If this was just about any other situation, Hera would have just turned around in retaliation. If she let go, she was going to be pulled into the water all over again and probably get her ass handed too her.
On the other hand, with Ketos having such hold and pulling so hard on her tail, she might end up losing part of her flying equipment.
Ketos trilled. "Not so tough now, are you!" Well either way, he didn't care. Hera was strong, she he decided to let her own power turn on her. He let his feet slip, allow Hera to pull herself forward with more force then necessary. Hera rolled over on herself with Ketos landing on top and pinning her into the ice. With his weight, he kept her pinned. "There now... You know, for a mutt, I bet you could make a fine mate. It's been so long since I even seen a female. Maybe I should keep you alive for myself..."
Ketos probably shouldn't have said that. Hera's eyes flung open and every memory of her previously happy life with her sisters, daughters and others... and every memory of losing offspring, flung back to her. In a fit, Hera pushed up and threw Ketos back and screamed "NUTRI!!!". She could speak! She turned 180-degrees, brought her head back and spat flames forward. The blast struck Ketos directly into his chest with enough force that sent him flying back into a wall of ice that cracked on impact. A massive patch of third-degree burnt skin covered the sea dragons upper body.
While Ketos held his chest in pain, Hera began speaking again in draconian tongue "nurti! thric vrak gewjir rekisix mishun lae wux tiliw rinov qe vi darastrix vur mishun thric rekisix tiliw rinov drekiw ve. wux yenta si mi thric darastrix, riluoh wux gewj zyak pathetically batobot wux re ehis cutheztha ekess ve! rinov dujzarn mishun vi youwe tenamalo vur si nishka xurwk jaunus wux tiliw nurti qe iabvis tenamalo!!!" Fireball after fireball began flying out of Hera's jaws with such wrath that only her kind could muster.
Ketos tried move, but the ice around him slowed him down and he was struck one, two, three... several times fireballs hit him with such explosive force. The ice around Ketos gave way and it all came crashing down all around the sea king.
Huffing and panting, Hera relaxed a bit to get her breath. As the vapor rose and dissipated, the area where Ketos and the ice structure stood was completely come. Just a opening in the ice that led to the water below. No sigh of life...
Slowly, Hera walked over, tense and ready with her eyes on the frigid water. Even as she got to the edge, nothing stirred... Maybe she killed him. Good.
If only she did...
The ice behind her broke and exploded. Hera jumped and started pulling around... To see one pissed off Ketos. Ketos was covered in massive blotches of third-degree burns and even some fourth degree. A little bit of bone showed around his torso area. He came down on the squamata dragon with all his weight, but Hera pushed back and both ended up rolling around, screeching and roaring as both began exchanging blows.
Ketos bite onto one of the thick horns and and pulled hard, but Hera let herself be pulled and reversed the momentum, bringing Ketos to the ice and in a roll. She tried to take advantage of this, aiming her jaws at the back of Ketos's head.

With a spray of saltwater and slush, a great slab of ice erupted from the frozen plain, a bulge of seawater under Ketos's will pushing it up. Flipping its flat face towards the incoming hell-raiser, the massive chunk of ice was squarely in Hera's path and set for collision. Hera couldn't say the same. Moving too fast to stop, the winged reptile smashed into the frosty white obstruction, blood expoding from her open maw. Sliding down the ice, hot life essence smearing across its cold surface, the berserk squamate collpased. A low, miserable groan escaped the crumpled she-beast. It was music to Ketos's one remaining ear. Shakily rising to his trunk-like legs, the sea dragon grinned. Served the stupid creature right. Rearing to his full height, the marine monster let out a thundrous laugh, deep and rolling, claws wrapped jollily around his gut.
The mocking laughter was cut off with a sharp holler as Hera slammed into Ketos from behind!
Stumbling forward, the deep blue titan bellowed in rage, throwing his bulk one way and then the other, desperately trying to throw his rabid attacker off. But the she-devil's grip was firm, claws and fangs buried in bleeding flesh. Ketos's lips curled, fangs flashing in the arctic sunlight. This bitch was tenacious, he would give her that. Anger climaxing, the Demon of the Deep suddenly stood tall, trembling in absolute fury.
"GET... OFF!"
Pushing back with both powerful legs, the oceanic monster hurled himself back, a shrieking Hera realizing all too late his intentions. The serpentine flier was crushed, flattened between the cold ice and the hot-headed beast she fought. With a final tremor, the draconic squamate went limp, slumping under Ketos's girth. Rolling from the unmoving she-beast, the great dragon chuckled, this time humorlessly. This devilish wretch had pushed him too far. Wheeling around and lunging, Ketos snatched up Hera, talons wrapped tightly around her jaws. The now alert hell-raiser thrashed and flapped, sparks flying from her nostrils. Beneath his clenched finger, Ketos could feel the heat of the flames moving up the squamata dragon's throat. Glowing crimson eyes narrowed.
"No you don't!"
Hera's horned skull was cracked against the frozen ground as Ketos threw her down with a vicious snarl. Flames poured from the winged reptile's maw as she scremed in pain, agony driven deep into her cranium. Ignoring the smoke and vapor, Ketos parted his jaws, summoning a super-heated gush of water from his churning gullet to hammer the bitch's skull...

Hera tried to raise, but the strike of hot water in the back of her head forced her head back down. Second later she jerked up, crying out in pain as her skin was burned from the scolding hot water and steam. While being able to breath fire, heat still harmed her. Shame she wasn't one of the all powerful males...
Ketos lunged and grabbed one of her horns and held tightly, pulling her back and swinging her down into the ice while still holding on. He had to hold on tight, because Hera began thrashing and gnashing her teeth at him. It took all of his muscle to keep her from throwing her jaws around his neck again.
As she came again, he pulled hard to the side and avoided her teeth and even came back and threw his own teeth into her neck. Her blood splattered against his wounded face face, the mutegenic blood seeping into his mouth and facial wounds...
With a pull, Hera ripped herself free and turned on him, lunging into the sea king with her jaws sinking deep into his burnt chest. The teeth went to the bone and Ketos shrieked in protest. Twisting and turning her head, Hera was going to tear a new chunk out. Ketos on the other hand was not having any of it. He was pushing and thrashing back with all he could. Luckily for him, he managed to pry her teeth off... only to have the jaws slam onto his hand. "Gah! Cease at once you good for nothing beast!" He threw his claws against the armored head.
That did the trick. He nicked her eye and made her flinch back. Wasting no time, he threw up another claw and slugged the angry serpent hard enough to threw her off. He threw another, but Hera jerked back and avoided. In turn, she snapped at him but he also pulled back.
Both monster's were aching by now and wounded badly. Ketos was the worse of the two, though, with all his body burnt and chewed up... His beautiful face... it enraged him! He was king, he was the true dragon, and he was the best. No other being was better... Then again, this Crypt Dragon before him was one hell of a Hell Dragon if there ever was one. Even if by his standards in his world she as no dragon, she definitely matched one.
Staring each other down, Hera and Ketos were only a hair away from going at it again. At the moment it was just glaring and growling threats. Who would be the first one to move? The moody and wrathful Hera who was only a hairlength from going postal, or the selfish Ketos who was on the verge of a massive fit.
Hera...
Hera threw her head out in blast of flame. Ketos came forward too with a blast of scolding water. As both attacks hit, the exploded. Hera's hot fire evaporated the already steaming blast so fast that it "exploded" in the sense that the water expanded so fast that it "boomed". Ketos took it a step further and threw himself into the vapor cloud and out the other side and successfully grabbed Hera by her head and pushed her mug down. However Hera pushed back up and threw Ketos off. She threw herself into him and bore her teeth down on the dragons leg. Blood shot out as the teeth went deep and Ketos screamed.
Not that Ketos stood for it. He again grabbed Hera's horn and ripped her off his leg. He struggled to keep his hold on her, but Hera turned the table and again threw her teeth into him again, this time into his stomach. Ketos gasped and struggled.
But if Ketos thought he was going to get away with just another bite wound, he was in for a painful surprise.
Hera chewed deep... and once she did, she released as much flame as he could.
Eyes wide in pain, Ketos screamed as his stomach and insides were literally set on fire! Pain or not, he pulled away, leaving much flesh in Hera's jaws. Flames erupted out of his mouth and gills, he feel over in such amazing agony that no one deserved it.
Hera snapped up the flesh in her jaws, shaking it like a dog with a toy as she ate.
This gave Ketos plenty of time to open up the ice and fall in. Ketos gasped the water with his gills and swallowed as much as he could. The fire was already doused and he was marveling at the cool sensation of the sea... Never would he have guessed he would welcome this cold place. Stomach had a hole in it and most of his upper digestive track had third degree burns. He should be lucky his eyes didn't pop from the flames heat. Yet, his eyes hurt too...
Above, Hera looked around for her target. She was very smug. She never once thought of spitting her flames into an open wound via bite... well, new lesson for her. And it felt good. She was going to have to remember that next time.
Knowing were Ketos went but too timid to follow the predator into its own element, she began spitting fireballs down into the ice to see if she can goad him out into the open again.

(Uuuuuuuuh, accidentally post twice there, dom?)
Practically drunken in his agony, Ketos clumsily kicked his way to the surface. Moaning as he pushed his head above the surface, the dazed dragon was immediately greeted by a fireball to the face. As the blast of flames struck, it erupted into waves of heat and expanding gas, pushing the titan back down. Blood and bits of charred skin polluted the resulting foam.
Snapped from his confused state by the explosion, Ketos snarled, bubbles rising from between his gnashing teeth. His insides were on fire, the pain defying even the bone-chilling water that embraced him. It was almost as bad as when that damned beast Dragus had razed his innards with lightning. He hated it- the pain, the helplessness. He deserved to be treated like nothing less than a god! In the beginning, the humans had worshiped him. Then, they had known their place! But they soon grew arrogant. They abandoned their praise of him, instead trying to better themselves. Madness! They were worms, he was a titan! They were under him! He had once protected the pathetic ingrates in return for offerings and adoration. So when they turned their back on him, insulted him, he made them pay. Oh yes, they bestowed him with gifts again. The ultimate gifts! Their very lives! Flashing in the murk, Ketos's eyes took on a dangerous gleam, a fire that pierced the darkness of the depth like a blade. Now, to this foolish cur of a beast, he would do the same. He would punish her, make her suffer. He would make himself her god!
Soaring high above the still waters that harbored her hated foe, Hera hissed in annoyance. The coward! Using the ocean to hide! The sky was the domain of true power, lending its creatures strength, but never hiding them. The land and sea, they simply couldn't compare. And neither could their creatures. Glaring at the water below, Hera snorted, smoke curling from her nostrils. Fire welling in her throat, the winged squamate prepared to launch another volley of fireballs.
The entire pool of seawater erupted.
Exploding upwards like gravity in reverse, the water roared upwards in a solid mass, as if it were a great monster that craved Hera's blood. Panicking, the flying reptile banked sharply and sped away, a shriek tearing from her parted maw. Responding in turn, the rush of water focused itself, moving faster as it used the majority of its weight to push a smaller arm of the reaching fluid. Almost forming a liquid arm, the water swung down, slapping Hera from the air. Howling as thousands of tons of water battered her armored back, the berserk she-devil plunged, wings buckling and flesh giving way. Even her tough armor groaned and creaked, a few cracks appearing. Plummeting down past the great mass of floating water, Hera experienced a huge surge of adrenaline. Empowered by the emergency hormone, the crypt dragon began pumping her leathery wings, beating the air savagely. Her fall slowed, her courage returned, and the she-beast let out a powerful bellow. Then, out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a dark shape in the water besides her. Thrusting his fearsome head from the levitating body of water, Ketos was suddenly besides Hera, a scowl on his lips and death in his eye. Raising a clenched fist, the Demon of the Deep locked eyes with Here, who whipped her head around to stare at him. The sinuous stream of water above curved back down like an arm pulled back for a punch, Ketos curled his lips, a fine spray escaping them. The dragon threw his fist down, the water above doing the same.
"DIE!"
Hera squealed shrilly as she was engulfed by a brutal wall of water, hammered down with so much force that a red mist billowed out from the impact. Her already damaged armor shattered, splinted shards of its flung into the air. Rocketed down into the sea, the winged hell-raiser could only guess which way was up as she tumbled and spun violently. Between the water's natural murk and the stark white bubbles that seemed to be everywhere, the squamata dragon couldn't make heads or tails of her position. Cruel claws suddenly wrapped around her shoulders, a powerful neck wrapping around her own to deliver teeth into her throat. With a silent yelp, Hera realized Ketos had his fangs buried in her jugular. Pain tore at her vulnerable flesh and blood drifted into her view, the crimson cloud sickening her with its shocking size. Thrashing, the fiery female tried to throw the sea dragon off, only to be reminded that the ocean was his realm, not hers. Not tolerating any struggle, Ketos released Hera with a rough shove, knocking the squamate forward. No sooner than she cleared her foe's grip, the water around Hera began wrapping around her tightly, a liquid bear hug. Watching with unforgiving eyes, Ketos pressed his open palms together, slowly crushing the scum that dared challenge him into a bloody pulp.
She would learn to respect the Tyrant of the Seas or perish in her futile defiance!

Ketos was enjoying this a little too much. Hera was trapped with virtually no escape. The water kept giving away as she kept pushing at it. It wasn't any better that she was underwater and she needed to breath. IT was a tormenting move to pull, but then again Hera was the one that burned out Ketos stomach and throat.
Hera gagged as she tried to hold onto her air. Not easy when so much pressure was crushing tons of water squeezing every ounce of breathable oxygen from your lungs and in the water to begin with. Truly this was one of the worst predicaments she was in. It seemed to be over for Hera, which pleased the azure king. He didn't let up the power for a moment and kept on pushing down. She will be crushed if was the last thing he was going to do. Well, considering the damages done to him, he it could have been. But the UCA wouldn't let such a bratty monster just die on them.
Then something Ketos spazzed. He felt a painful twinge and he knelled over in pain. Ahh! It took all his focus to keep standing What is happening... His words were strained. It never dawned on him about Hera's blood was a powerful mutagen that even the UCA couldn't suppress with all there knowledge. It entered his system when he bite her before and coming in physical contact with her when fighting her. And now somewhere deep in Ketos, change was beginning...
Sadly though, this let Hera go. In his own pain, he released her and she raced up and out of the freezing waters. She broke free and crawled out onto the ice, hacking up salt water and coughing. She was freezing cold... With a huff, she breathed fire down and underneath her wings, using the wide surface to gain the heat of her own fiery powers. Soon enough she was warmed and also incredibly pissed off. Even with her body aching and exhausted, this was not over.
And Ketos could not agree more.
The water churned and bubbled, Ketos rising out like a live torpedo. He landed on the ice, panting heavily. It didn't look much at the moment buy his eyes were different. Almost glowing in a spectral way. But he didn't know it. Far as he knew, the pain that hit him moments ago was just the result of the injuries. "You were lucky," he stated. "I promise you that fate will not smile fortune on you a second time."
Hera just snorted, steam pouring from her nostrils in defiance. She wasn't afraid of him in the least. This fight made her think a bit more clear. One of her rare moments where she wasn't completely consumed with mass hatred for all things living. It was all because of Ketos goading her on about that being mated to him remark he made. It brought some happy memories back which burned in her mind with psychological pain. At the moment she wished her wrath numbed her thoughts again; Her mind set would return to its usual "burn the world in place of my pain" state soon enough anyway.
Slowly she turned and faced Ketos, a snarl rippling from her teeth. She was ready for another go at it. But was Ketos? Of course he was. That driven dragon flexed his claws and popped his neck with blood leaking down the corner of his mouth.
The invisible signal went off and both came at each other like angry pitbulls! Ketos ran forward and Hera pulled herself along with both arms. As Hera's jaws came forth wide as she could get them, Ketos threw his arm up and batted the oncoming beasts head up and away. It only threw Hera off Hera off a moment and she came back with her jaws snapping again. Again Ketos had dodged and he threw his claws out to slash her across the face. He too missed as Hera pulled back. Both continued throwing blows like this for a short time like a mongoose and a cobra dancing a deadly tango.
Then one of Hera's lunges caught Ketos right on the arm and the two were pulled together into a brawl. Hera had managed to rip down to the bone before Ketos pried her jaws off him. He used his other hand to keep her jaws open too. It was time for some payback! Hacking up a good swirl of water, he kept her jaws open and sprayed a torrent of scolding hot water down into the Squamata Dragons throat. Hera's eyes widened in pain. It was odd because she breathed fire right out of her stomach and through her throat, but that was because the bacteria that produced her flame protected her innards from burning. Hot water was another thing all together. Hera struggled to get free and eventually pulled herself from Keto's hold. She vomited the water up with some of her own blood and stomach bile in a disgusting geyser. She wasn't going to breath fire anytime soon. Ketos cackled in satisfaction, but Hera was antagonized by it. She came back, raising a wing slashing down onto Ketos's face! Ketos cried out in pain as the claws dug into his facial flesh. His face was disfigured enough, but the claws had ripped his nasal cavity right open.
Hera three another slam right into the back of Ketos's head when he flinched away and made him stumble. She aimed again for yet another strike to the dragon...
