Athujen curls his tail before swiping an ice orb which lets out a distracting veil of frosty mist. The dim-witted kaiju did not learn…and ended up setting himself up for the approaching pair of orbs following behind the first one. While unable to see, a first sphere crashes into his left shoulder and freezes over the bark. The second gets swiped by the tree behemoth’s nervously flailing arms, causing no damage like the first orb, but adding to the cloak of fog.
Athujen trudges out from the mist and looks around to spot his opponent. The Icy Guardian had taken to the airs and is flying around, out of Athujen’s physical grip. With a roar, Athujen trails a pillar of thorns throughout the open sky. He gets lucky when a little under a dozen thorns impale the reptile’s stomach. The titan follows up by hurling three lengthy trees at the aerial opponent, though none of them hit; but they weren’t meant to. They were meant to force Kori Kahn to land, which in aspect, they succeeded.
Athujen’s strong legs bring him forward, towards his enemy more specifically. Once in close enough proximity, Athujen brings his deadly flailing tail around and swipes Kori Kahn in the side of the face. His left cheek to be precise. The sharp edges along the tail carve some light scrapes in the frosty lizard’s face. They are saturated by light amounts of cold blood, and the thorny edges of the tail, combined with some splinters left inside, have left the cheek with an awareness of twinge-like pain.
Next, the tree-based abomination lashes out with both arms. His left arm sort of backhands Kori in his mouth and the opposite arm crashes down with plenty of blunt force on the frost-colored forehead. Kori can taste the cool blood generating inside his maw from the beefy blow to the appendage. His lower jaw more than the upper, is plagued by soreness.
Athujen coils his tail around Kori Kahn’s throat and compresses tight enough to restrain the beast (who’s to some extent lifted off his feet) without damaging. The part that is meant to damage, is the sharp tip of the tail shooting forward with the intent to penetrate the right arm’s join/socket (tear through muscle) for some very painful blood amalgamating…

Kori Kahn let out a weak roar as the sharp tip of the tail tore into his shoulder, his blood being absorbed into this tree beast. The creature was feeling a bit woozy from all the blood loss, and Athujen seemed to be thoroughly engrossed in absorbing the blood. It made him feel.... good. Despite its coldness, the blood gave him a refreshed feeling that he couldn't explain. But that refreshed feeling was about to go away, for Kori Kahn's rage and bloodthirst took over gain. A feeling of chilling dread engulfed Athujen, before an eruption of arctic power blasted into his face and torso, creating another layer not just on him, but also in his deadly tail, weakening to bark. Kori Kahn let out a roar as he freed himself from the tail's grasp with a few swipes of his claws. Though no sap came out this time, due to the tail being frozen over slightly.
The two goliaths faced each other down, simply staring into each other's eyes. Neither budged. They both had come to the conclusion that the other was a worthy opponent, and both had the woudns to prove it. Kori Kahn had numerous cuts and bruises, along with dead looking skin from those insects, while Athujen had a layer of permafrost on his torso and face from all the ice those parts had taken, and he had numerous dead patches of frostbitten wood along his arms and tail now. Kori Kahn flapped his wings and twitched his ears, and Athujen growled low and stomepd his feet twice. Yet despite the threatening motions, still niether budged.
Athujen broke the peace. With a roar, the tree monster swung a heavy fist towards his opponent, intent on crushing his skull like a ripe tomato. But Kori Kahn was ready, instead ducking under the strike and, with a swift leap, tackled Athujen off his feet and to the floor. The blow was brutal, shaking the earth with its impact, and knocknig over quite a few trees in the process. Athujen glanced weakly up at Kori Kahn, who himself was a bit worn out as well. Athujen groaned, but Kori Kahn was cold (ba-dum chish) to his display of weakness this time, instead opening his maw and spitting his ice breath towards his opponent...

Athujen turns to let his side absorb the concussive sub-zero damage. Yet another part of his body becomes arctic… His stamina isn’t what it was at the start of this fight. The upside to this situation is, neither is his opponent’s [stamina]. Athujen turns his titanic form to face Kori Kahn. The dim-witted monster decides to deal a physical blow through a series of attacks; a combo attack. He commands his minor torso arms to grab hold of Kori by the shoulders and squeezes tight while his major arms clench their hands into solid fists. The force being applied by the compression to hold Athujen’s quarry drive the splinter-laced palms into Kori’s skin, causing minor piercing. Athujen lashes out with a one-two punch; the first fist to strike, the left, crashes into Kori Kahn’s mouth. The right follows suit. Kori Kahn’s jaw becomes slightly dislocated (but attached enough to still deal damaging bites). Then, Athujen raises his frontal left leg and forces it powerfully into Kori Kahn’s forehead. The potency of the strike dazes The Arctic Destroyer for a couple of seconds and triggers a headache of epic proportions. The next attack is prepared by the tree monstrosity heaving his front side in the air and kicking his legs like a horse, then the limbs slam down full-force into Kori’s central back. Signals of pain travel throughout the spine.
It should be noted that Athujen released his grip on the lizard’s shoulder before rising in the air to solicit his third clobber. They were in long enough to leave some almost un-ignorable stinging. To ensure he will last ‘til the end of the match, Athujen soaks up a small bit of water. He rejoices as the fluids convert inside him and some feeling returns in a few select iced up areas of wood. The titan is still plagued with soreness throughout his person, unfortunately.
By sending a mental decree, seven bullet ants travel outside of their “home” and crawl along Kori Kahn’s body. One each take their place on the pricks in his shoulders, Four on the big welt on Kori’s back, and a pair settle on the right arm. Unless Kori can take them out in one swoop, they’re going to inject their dangerous venom…

Kori Kahn, battered and tired, wills up a bit of his strength, to send another surge of icy energy through his body. The very earth became frozen where he stood from his icy pulse killing the insects and freezing a few of the trees nearby. The dragon panted, clearly tired, but he willed himself to fight on. Athujen seemed to be doing slightly better, if only becuase he was able to absorb some nutrients and make him feel better (though he didn't really seem to heal, oddly enough...). Athujen stomped forward and smashed his fist across Kori Kahn's face, nearly knocking him off his feet and giving the dragon a big nasty gash on his face, along with a bloody nose.
Kori Kahn let out a thundering roar, and countered his wooden opponent's attack with a mighty tail slam that was brought down upon Athujen's head. The blow came lightning quick, and hit like a freight train; Athujen was knocked onto one knee, head shaking to recover his thoughts. Before he could rise back up to his feet, however, Kori Kahn spun around, smashing his tail across Athujen's face, knocking him down to the floor, finishing the dragon's vicious combo attack. Kori Kahn wasn't about to give Athujen a chance to get back up.
The frost dragon opens his maw and blasts the downed tree beast with his ice breath. The tree growls with suffering, the ice showing no mercy on the wounded trees now frostbitten form. Kori Kahn relented his ice breath, lettign the tree lie there in pain. After all the pain Athujen gave him with his splinters and insect underlings, now it was Kori Kahn's turn. His tail spieks ready, the dragon roared aloud, before he whirled around and brought his tail down one last time, ready to finish the battle.

Speakers nestled within the trees suddenly bark out, pausing the arctic dragon's attack.
"CEASE COMBAT! THE MATCH HAS BEEN DECIDED! THE VICTOR IS ATHUJEN! I REPEAT, THE VICTOR IS ATHUJEN! RETURN TO YOUR QUARTERS IMMEDIATELY!"
(Great fight. Interesting match-up and excellent combat. Athujen won because he generally tended to be more brutal in his attacks. He was also extremely good at making Kori Khan hurt. Hurt a lot, in fact. The gas-insect combos were especially nasty. Good job to both of you.)

Kori Kahn was a bit disappointed by the announcement, but he digressed. The tree was a worthy enemy. Hopefully, they could be allies in the future, for he began to understand this beast better. Kori Kahn growled at Athujen and bowed to his enemy.
"Well done, Gaurdian of the Forest. Hopefully, we will be allies next time. I shall see you soon."
With that, a ray of light sliced through the trees, and Kori Kahn was gone...
OOC: Well done, Soundwave/Zetton. I went in with low expectatinos for this fight, but Athujen's pretty badass. That splinter storm attack was nasty!

Athujen's expression becomes one of sadness while his arms reached out ahead of him where his opponent just was. Athujen feels like a kid wanting to pet an animal, after seeing Kori's display of kindness and mutual understanding. In fact, Athujen was going to give the Arctic Protector a hug! Suddenly, the ground below Athujen glows in a circle formation while particles float up and sort of create a pillar (of said particles rising from the glowing circle). Next, Athujen's body is transported to places unknown to this wooden dimwit. When he materializes inside the choice of place that the unseen force has sent him, Athujen looks around wide-eyed like a kid in the candy store. What begins as a adequately sized room, like a padded cell in a psych ward, suddenly morphs into the image in Athujen's subconscious. Not very unlike the place he had just done battle. There were trees all around, all proportioned to tower over Athujen- proportioned to kaiju standards. There are woodland animals occupying the grounds, and the trees, but no ordinary animals. Chameleons wearing tuxedos, rabbits with triceratops horns and faces painted like clowns...these are animals straight from Athujen's imagination! He chuckles with glee as he allows a couple of animals to climb up his arm, while birds with muscular arms and wearing shoes fly around singing. Yep, this is his living quarters alright... Excellent fight danzilla. right off the bat i loved the design of your "Arctic Destroyer." he's a strong, formidable kaiju. glad that Athujen's first fight could be with him. you're a damn worthy RP'er, that's for damn sure, and while I came later than you, I'm still glad to have you on these forums
