Athujen! {a g a i n s t} Razin! Ref: yeah, we need one. Intro: As soon as he was taken to new living quarters, Athujen is teleported out and reappears in the arctic. Athujen looks around, surprised from going from his forest-generated home to a cold place like this. With the ice and snow on the ground, that means plenty of water should he need it. Athujen stares wide-eyed at the area in front of him. He's not sure if another beast will appear; clueless to the possibility, actually. Still, he wanders his surroundings (while staying close to the point he teleported in at).You've picked a fight with a dim-witted monster, mindless even. Try using your mental powers on HIM! bahaha p;

A flash of light suddenly filled Athujen's vision, and a rather large insect stepped out onto the snow. Razin, the Guardian of the Mind, had arrived.
The great being was currently in an unpleasant mood to begin with. Kidnapped by the UCA, his mind powers weakned, and now here he was, expected to fight at their command? The God was not too happy with his current situation. He noticed the other kaiju standing in the cold region, instantly invading it's mind.
Hmm...Athujen. Obviously not too intelligent. A rather weak mind.
Razin pushed in deeper into the tree monster's small mind, reading his past battle with the ice monster, Kori Kahn. Giant insect swarms, splinter shards... at least what Athujen lacks in intelligence, he makes up for in strength. Although I would like to see those insects pierce MY armor.
And Razin knew that he would soon see the insects try that. He knew that he would be forced to might this creature, and he knew that he would eventually get some of those insects on his body. Not that he worried about it.
If it was to be a fight, then so be it. At least Razin would have some practice before attempting to escape this idiotic UCA.

Razin was the first to go on the offensive, immediately utilizing his mental powers. Athujen began to take to the air, much to the tree monster's distress. Continuing to levitate Athujen with telekinesis, Razin began his first attack, a telekinetic combo.
Using telekinetic energy, Razin began to crush Athujen's body into a ball, bedding Athujen's spine in a way that wasn't supposed to be bent. Athujen barely had time to register the flaws of pain before Razin continued his combo, slamming the tree terror into the ground, one, two, three times! Finally, he threw Athujen a few hundred meters away, sending the kaiju into the side of a glacier and ending the combo.
The wooden kaiju groaned as he managed to find firm ground with his four thick legs. He wasn't sure what had just happened, but he had the feeling the insect played a part in it. Now Athujen was angry. The tree terror extended two of his hands, firing off a volley of splinter shards. The multitude of projectiles slammed against Razin's emerald colored armor, scratching the surface with their sharp ends. Luckily for Razin, his strong carapace prevented the splinters from doing anything else.
Activating his elemental power again, Razin lifted Athujen high into the air, higher and higher, until he was nearly a kilometre up. Then he dropped the tree terror.
The impact made by Athujen's landing shook the land around them. Wasting no time, Razin's chest bulb glowed, and a massive combustion beam shot forth, hitting Athujen and obscuring the kaiju in a massive explosion. Ready to deal his final attack, Razin called upon his telekinetic powers to cause an avalanche to fall upon Athujen...

The kicked up frost cloud hid Athujen from site for seconds, but it quickly dissipates afterwards. It reveals the form of Athujen, roots in the ground, standing as still as a statue and glaring at Razin. For as intelligent as he is, Athujen, a dimwit, had this threatening behemoth stumped. Razin enters Athujen’s mind to see if the tree beast knew he is about to get crushed under an avalanche, and the mind of Athujen answered Yes.
The avalanche comes down hard. Athujen is buried easily. For a few moments, Razin just studies the gravesite. Razin thinks to himself, “I guess he was too stupid to realize that that avalanche would bury him and END him.”
But this…unintelligent mutation, knew what he was doing. Suddenly, the top layer of rocks are carried away and Athujen’s larger arms burst free from the coverings. His bullet ant mutant brood continue carrying away rocks with the strength that ants are known for. Athujen crawls out of the makeshift tomb, and grunts at the superior kaiju, as the ants return to Athujen’s hollow interior. Razin cannot explain what just happened, nor can he find the answer in his opponent’s mind; that jumbled mess…that poor excuse for a brain. But what had happened was that by rooting his…well, roots, into the ground and absorbing water (to which there is plenty of on this icy tundra), he used that siphoned source for energy to harden his wooden body to create a sort of natural strong armor. The armor protected Athujen from major debilitating damage, but it caused some scrapes and dents around his body. Minor damage. Case in point: he overcame the avalanche and came out alive, just with some scratches. {Note: see “Harden” under Powers on Athujen’s bio thread.}
Athujen starts traveling forward; towards his massive opponent. With his right fist reared backwards, he takes a moment to prepare the strength going into the attack, then finally slams it into the side of Razin, but…it causes not even a scratch on the outer exoskeleton! (no damage, just part of the story to their encounter) He feels around the armor with two long arms. Razin is taken back by his fellow combatant’s ignorance; he has never met a foe so...empty-headed. The telekinetic creature does not react; he does not counter, try to stop Athujen, he just...stands there, overwhelmed by a superior feeling of awe at his opponent's action(s).
Athujen decides to take another stab at attacking. Rearing his right fist back yet again (leading Razin to contemplate, Doesn’t this fool learn?), Athujen attempts a repeat of his prior attack, except this time, his forearm begins swirling with white energy. He sends it forward even harder than last time, and strikes the side of the insect again. The added energy from his Focus Punch attack causes the telekinetic insect's side to shiver and quake and leads Razin to stumble one step. This time, Athujen succeeds in breaching the exoskeleton protecting the bug, but only through the creation of a dozen minor cracks. Internally, Razin felt the strong blow. He caresses the site on his armor where the strike took place. Underneath, the kaiju's flesh quakes with a sore sensation.
Next, Athujen delivers another focus punch- but this comes from the left arm and to Razin’s triangular head. The punch packs enough force to send the head jerking to the side violently, and disorienting the mighty Razin for a short bit. His head takes a pair of seconds to acknowledge the throbbing that quickly started from contact, and he is paired with a concussion from the blow.
Razin starts to think that maybe he underestimated this quarry. What he lacks in intelligence, he most certainly makes up for with attacks. For his next attack, Athujen rears his front side backwards to deliver a sort of “donkey kick” forward; his thick stiff appendages crash into the knee joints of Razin’s front small, thin legs and causes them to bend the opposite direction for a moment. Razin kneels forward, unable to support his mass with the front legs from the forceful blow, and the "crunching" noise that was given off as soon as his joints bended is the one thing that Razin thinks about right now. His legs burn warm with a hot sensation of pain, and they ache too much. Athujen roars to show his large opponent that he won't stand down, and he won't take Razin's shit.
Now, the tree behemoth sidesteps out of Razin’s way to avoid a direct counterattack, forces his form around, and sends his brawny tail whistling through the air towards Razin’s front legs (coming towards the legs from in front), trying to clip the kaiju off its feet and further damage those legs…

Sensing the incoming tail sweep, Razin activated his telekinesis, levitating his own body into the air to avoid being swept off his feet. His blue eyes glared down at Athujen's form below, before directing his mental powers on the tree kaiju. A powerful telekinetic wave smashed over Athujen's head, strong enough to cause a few small cracks on the top of his skull and buckling his four sturdy legs.
Gracefully landing beside the tree terror, Razin prepared to fire off another blast of his combustion beam. What the Guardian of the Mind didn't count on however, was Athujen's thick tail. The structure swept underneath Razin and once again knocked his front leg's out from under him. Razin groaned as his front end crashed into the ice, but he quickly telekinetically pushed Athujen away before the tree terror could do anything more (not doing any damage). Razin fired his combustion beam, aiming for Athujen's legs. The knock back power and massive explosion that followed sent Athujen flying into the side of a glacier. While he was resistant to heat and flames, the combustion beam still left a few nasty burns on his two left sided legs, smoke drifting from their cracked and blackened surface.
But Athujen would not give up so easily. Climbing shakily to his feet, he attempted to charge Razin, but the Guardian simply pushed him back with telekinetic force, this time with enough power to cause damage. The push sent the wooden monster crashing against the glacier once again with enough speed and force to snap off a few of the growths on his back. Razin delivered his trademark roar (a mix between Clover's howl and Legion's wail). The Guardian of the Mind was not going to let Athujen get close to him again if he could help it. Razin planned to simply keep the tree monster at bay with his telekinesis. The insect god's pincers opened to fire of a volley of ten plasma bolts, five from each pincer, aiming for the yellow hive on Athujen's shoulder...

heh, FINALLY posting an attack. Here we goo!
- - - - -
Athujen braces all four arms crossed with the opposite before his tail curls to his right side and kicks up some chunks of ice from the ground. A couple of the ice chunks take the hit from 3 plasma bolts, lessening the number of these projectiles aimed for Athujen. The remaining seven lose some of their power from blasting through the chunks before assaulting Athujen’s braced arms. He takes the damage, but for once, the dimwit did a smart thing. He didn’t plan it…but his instincts dictated to perform that action. The bolts cause splinters to rocket away from the strong arms, and inflicts [lessened] damage.
Athujen uncrosses his arms and glares at his enemy, who is clearly trying to keep the distance between the two titanic monstrosities. Razin peers into his adversary’s mind (or rather, Athujen’s excuse for one). He could sense the tree terror’s seriousness in battle. As the two remained statue-still, Athujen’s chest meanwhile was glowing from the middle segment of each panel, combined with a glowing light. The panels leisurely separate open to reveal a large orb of gathered heat straight from the sun. Normally the Solar Beam is massive; engulfing. But this blast he unleashes on the psychic monster is more concentrated. A little less tremendous in width, but still titanic (as mentioned, more focused). The beam as hot as the sun focuses on Razin’s chest, causing a grunt to be released, and as it’s focused, the heat sensitizes the exoskeleton of the chest. He focuses the all-powerful weapon for some seconds, then strafes it to the left and focuses it on the minor cracks to the side of the Mental Powers Wielder. The minor cracks augment in depth, and the exoskeleton further weakens.
Athujen calls off the beam. The frontal exoskeleton is to a degree weakened, with some big cracks in it. Athujen sends a telepathic command for his soldier ants to exit his body and swarm his enemy. About 9 take status on the chest, and 5 remain against the cracks in the left side. Using their extraordinary strength, the Bullet Ant mutations tinker away at the weakened armor, able to confiscate some chunks of armor to reveal the vulnerable point underneath (no damage). Then, they inject their painful venom into the sensitive region now revealed. This elicits a louder roar from the creature, because as his bio provides, one sting from a Bullet Ant feels like walking on hot coals with a rusty nail in the heel of the foot. His chest and side flare with pain. And the creature is surprised at Athujen’s ability to counter his exoskeleton and deal not only such pain, but pain period.
The time comes to call his soldiers back. Now with his two bigger arms raised (charged with focused energy), he propels “Focus Splinters” forward and into the chest wound. The powered splinters embed into armor outside the injured region, and penetrate through the fleshy underneath that is exposed, dealing more injury. Now for his final attack, Athujen sends another volley of focused splinters towards the chest and left side wound of his enemy…
1 use left of the Solar Beam.

The splinters burrowed themselves into Razin's flesh, causing the Guardian to let out a grunt of pain. Using his mind powers, Razin plucked the splinter's from his cracked armor, then packing ice into the cracks of his armor to keep the pesky splinters and insects at bay. If only I had my full elemental powers, Razin thought to himself. I could destroy that pitiful excuse for a mind and be done with this. Although Razin considered Athujen to be a blithering idiot by now, he had noticed that the tree monster had some sort of mental power over it's insect swarms. If Razin could grin, he would have done so. It was payback time.
Razin concentrated his mental powers, but this time, it was not on Athujen himself. The wooden kaiju simply stared back at the Guardian of the Mind, wondering if it had given up. He couldn't be too far from the truth. Perhaps it was the lose of control that attracted his attention. Perhaps it was the sensation of stings that felt like walking across hot coals with a rusty nail in his foot. But Athujen did notice that he was being attacked... by his very own Bullet Ants!
The swarm was now being controlled by Razin, who had overcome Athujen's control with his mental abilities. The Bullet Ants dug through Athujen's wooden body, gnawing and stinging with a passion. The tree monster was not only in raw pain, but was completely confused as to why his swarm had turned against him! Soon, Razin decided to end his assault, sending the ants marching out across the snow, heading for sea.
Taking advantage of Athujen's confused state, Razin charged his combustion cannon, his bulb glowing like a star before firing a blast of his combustion beam. The weapon knocked Athujen off his feet, the explosion sending him skidding back even more so. Several burns covered his body, and the Bullet Ant holes were deepened by the heat. Razin immediately started his next attack, curling into ball as destructive energy surrounded his form. He rolled forwards without warning, melting snow and ice alike as he crashed into Athujen, the resulting explosion sending the tree flying back another few hundred meters.
Unfurling from his energy ball mode, Razin grabbed Athujen with his telekinesis, lifting his body high into the air. He then prepared to slam Athujen back down, head first...

*sigh* Okay ------------
Razin's head slam had unfortunately knocked the tree terror unconscious. He won and he and Athujen were teleported back to their living quarters. The end ladies and gents. That's all there is. And yes, this post is half assed.
----------- Short, but good fight while it lasted, Soundwave.
