Terrible Tree Terror looks down at his body and at the ground. He watches each and every cadaver drop out of his body, each curled up carcass fall and bounce against the concrete. He lets a drawn out moan escape his dropped jaw, thinking in his head, “Ground walk friends…" The guilt over not being able to stop their fatality weighs down heavily on his body. The emotion feels like an 800,000 ton physical object weighing down his body. His emotions are filled with an icy cold feeling. Athujen is just…overwhelmed by not being able to save his friends, not being able to protect them and avoid this horrible fate. Cerulean watches her opponent stir in sorrow and misery, unaffected by what she did to those wretched, painful pests. Up until now, Athujen’s been fighting defensively; for self-preservation. Every attack has been done in response to attacks on him. After all, Athujen just wanted to be friends! This peculiar dragon has cost him serious damage to his person, and the lives of his friends. Cerulean will pay, and pay dearly she will.
Athujen starts to feel dazed and tired. He feels like he had just received a huge spike in adrenaline that quickly wore off. Cerulean notices it and begins charging a blast of her sub-zero energy weapon. His mind feels separated from his body at first, then he just blacks out. He enters a dream-like state, while a transformation takes place in his mind. He had become so overwhelmed with grief, regret, but most of all, fury in its rawest form. It overloaded his brain, and put him in an auto-pilot state. This is the first time this and anything like this has happened. Athujen has transformed into a calm, calculating state/alter ego. Since the start of the match, he’s been his dimwitted self, but now… Vengeance has taken over, and he’s a whole ‘nother beast.
Cerulean is puzzled over seeing her target stand there, fully aware of her imminent offensive but still remaining statuesque and contemplative. She unleashes the freeze ray, but in an immediate response, Athujen takes hold of a 50 meter tall, 35 meter wide building and hurls it in the air and right into the beam’s patch. The beam pumps its freezing energy into the structure and freezes it solid. Before Cerulean the dragon can redirect her beam at Athujen’s chest, Athujen liberates a torrent of his poisonous gas. The vapor swallows Cerulean up and coats her body. Every injury, every point of damage flares up with pain as if they were just inflicted, and feel double the pain they experienced when they were initially made. Her beefy muscles go limp and their defensive, tough feeling is exchanged with a tender, vulnerable feeling.
The new optimal Athujen scales a tall (130 meters to be exact) building and leaps off. He collides with Cerulean and drags her down. The two plummet, ending up squashing Cerulean beneath his 92,000 tons and against the busted street. As his solid body crushes her chest, she spews out blood. Now she feels like 500,000 tons bears upon her! The lingering effects of the terrible tree creature’s poison gas multiplies the pain and damage being exacted.
Cerulean triggers the underground water system to spew up through the ground and forms kaiju proportioned baseballs. All 8 of them slam into Athujen’s back and shatter on impact from the sheer force. Athujen shrugs the blows off and remains focused. He behaves untouched (a benefit from his altered state of mind), even though they left dents. Athujen walks off Cerulean to crash his tail into Cerulean’s neck/throat. The strength of the tail whip alone was enough to nearly crush the arctic menace’s windpipe, but take that and add the sensitivity brought on by the gas? The blow is devastating. While Cerulean squirms along the ground in utter torment, Athujen raises 3 hands- both lesser arms and the right one; the left remains limp by his side. Charging each fist with energy for a series of Focus Punches, Athujen instead summons the power to back his splinter projectiles. The “kaiju toothpicks” shred through the air at insane speeds in a effort to tear up Cerulean’s body…

Cerulean focuses against the pain and manages to erect an ice barrier against the incoming assault. Although the barrier is effective at stopping the bulk of the projectiles, the sheer number means that some get through or otherwise penetrate her shield, then subsequently penetrate her hide. She shrieks in pain, the sound grinding against her damaged throat. Athujen prepares to strike again in his melancholy silence, when Cerulean makes her move. Using the ice now coating several of the splinter shards, Cerulean fires them back at Athujen. Although he ignores them penetrating his hide, he can't ignore the fact that the shards have begun to rotate like drills, burrowing through his body, tearing into the softer interior of the tree titan.
Cerulean uses the momentary lapse in Athujen's focus to slink away, as much as it hurts her pride to behave like a lesser animal. Her wings still function though, and with a few bounding leaps she goes airborne once more, ascending higher and higher into the clouds. Athujen tracks her progress, but is unable to reach her so far away. However, he remembers what happened last time and prepares to shield himself. But nothing could quite prepare him for what happened next.
Icy winds rip across the city as snow begins to fall all around Athujen. Snow quickly condenses into hail and then escalates into a veritable blizzard as Cerulean descends from the clouds, rings of ice orbiting her body as he eyes glow with psychokinetic power. Athujen rumbles as he fires off more splinters, but the are deftly blocked as several chunks of ice interpose themselves and absorb the blows meant for her. Athujen rumbles again as he begins to wrench another office building out of the ground to use as a projectile, when Cerulean strikes.
Hundreds of kaiju-sized icicles, each one shaped like drill bits, launch themselves at Athujen and begin to burrow through his exterior. Sap and other fluids flow from the wounds as more drills are added to their number before Cerulean finally relents. Now that there is a good supply of water inside Athujen, she mentally begins to freeze and expand it. Athujen groans as he feels himself coming apart at the proverbial seams, unable to move as the ice fills his joints.
Cerulean finally relents with this as well, as she uses the last of her recent ammunition to create a massive ice spear, which she aims right at the momentarily disabled Athujen's chest...

As Cerulean fashions the ice spear, Athujen’s roots immediately stretched out through the ground to reach water, and drink it up. The strength and energy he gains allows him to break his icy bonds- not to avoid the impalement tool. He knew he could not dodge that, but what he could do is shift to protect his chest. It passes through the layer of bark. Cerulean roars in triumph, while Athujen continues to soak up more water. He taps enough to break his remaining frost binds. Now with the ice detaining his chest ruined, Athujen’s free to use his ultimate attack for its last time. This power could ultimately be decisive for the match, because to this point, it is very close. Both brutes have inflicted awesome damage to one another. The UCA organization certainly have gotten their money’s worth with this fight. They will remember this colossal match up for the future, and possibly pit the two against each other more than this one time.
Now, Terrible Tree Terror starts the process with gathering the stockpile of solar energy within his form. As soon as the decoration glows with light underneath, a pit forms in the cerulean colored Cerulean’s stomach. The upper body’s decoration is forced open; after three seconds of delay, out launches the Solar Beam. Cerulean shrieks as soon as she feels the familiar boiling and bubbling of her flesh. Again, her body glows bright red. The pain actually becomes slightly enhanced from the small bit of lasting sensitivity of the gas. Her wings lock up from shock brought on to her body by the excruciating torture of the ultimate weapon. As she plummets towards the ground, Athujen drags his beam along and keeps it focused on his despised nemesis.
Athujen calls off the beam to avoid depleting his solar energy reserves, but takes pleasure in the tortured state/sight of that damned dragon. Her form is a site for incredible heaps of steam rising from her burnt body. A lot of her form is immensely blackened; just…severely burned, and throbbing with ache like she’s never felt. Athujen stomps up to the dragon and holds her in the air by her shoulders. He rears his charged up fist back to thrust it out; he delivers a Focus Punch to Cerulean’s left kidney. She is so dazed that she does not even cough up blood. Her eyes give a blank stare as her body remains completely limp. Her left side has a large purple bruise stretching across from the side and to parts of her front, and parts of her back. Athujen could very well have almost ruptured the organ inside her body with all that power to the tactical spot, but her lasting might protected her. Lastly, Athujen sends out 12 hornet hybrids that pump the sore site of her left side, her jugular, and the walls of her throat with toxic venom. The sting wounds waste no time with swelling full of puss and infection. The outside of the stings burn with a corrosive feeling, while the insides of each wound surges with an electrical type of pain.
With the friends safely nestled away back into the hive, Athujen lets Cerulean drop against the ground. He raises his front legs in the air and bucks them like a horse, and follows up by returning his left foreleg against the ground and the right foreleg coming down hard towards Cerulean’s head…

Cerulean manages to roll to the side, preventing her skull from being crushed, but not saving her ribs. A loud crack reverberates through the city as Cerulean screams in agony. Athujen is unlike anything she has faced before, and he seems relentless, despite all the damage piling up on him. But her own body is still flesh and blood, and with it the problems associated with such. The various stings and welts burned inside her like fire. But she had to fight on. She had not survived this long to be felled by a living tree.
As Athujen reared back to stomp again, Cerulean lashed out with her freezer beam, coating Athujen's legs and belly with ice. This only slowed Athujen down at first, but the full extent of what she had done was soon revealed as he seemed to be unable to return to having all his legs on the ground. Cerulean's face was contorted with concentration as she slowly managed to lift Athujen's bulk skyward. By focusing on the ice, she could, by extension, move Athujen. But his weight was absolutely massive, and finessing this would be difficult.
Fortunately, she needed no finesse.
Athujen ascended for a few moments, then was suddenly flipped upside down and sent plummeting to the streets below. The city shook with the impacts and several weakened structures collapsed around them. Athujen roared as he was lifted skyward again before being slammed into and through a row of tenement houses, and then finally being plowed right down the street before coming to a halt in front of Cerulean. Asphalt and rebar were embedded in his body and face. He groaned as he tried to rise up again, when Cerulean put her paws on him, almost gently. He seemed confused by this sudden turn of play, but quickly realized what was going on. His entire body seemed to be on fire as Cerulean touched all those pockets of water inside his body and turned them to superheated steam. Athujen didn't burn easily on the outside, but inside...inside was a different story.
Cerulean kept up her touch until all of Athujen's internal water supplies had been burned out of him. Finally, she let Athujen fall to the ground. One way or another, she would end this, as she stepped back out of Athujen's reach and prepared to fire her freezer beam one last time...

The echoing voice of the UCA announcer rolled over the city like a wave, smothering any motion with its might. "ATTENTION MONSTERS! THE MATCH HAS BEEN DECIDED! THE VICTOR IS ATHUJEN! I REPEAT, ATHUJEN HAS BEEN DECLARED THE VICTOR! CEASE COMBAT AND RETURN TO YOUR QUARTERS IMMEDIATELY!"
(Very cool match. Athujen started out strong and stayed that way, that's why he won. Was far closer at the end though. Cerulean really started to pick up as the match went on, but it wasn't quite enough. If she had fought the whole match like- or at least more like- the last few posts, especially influencing the water in Athujen himself, she might have won. Again, very fun match, guys)

Cerulean halted as the announcement was made. Once more her relatively frail form seemed to have been her downfall. She silently cursed her makers for not making her stronger as she stepped into the teleporter beacon. She would leave Athujen to thaw himself out. She had wounds that needed to be healed.
((Great fight, Soundwave. I look forward to another one.))

This was my favorite match I've been apart of and fought in here at the UCA, and in all honesty? im thinking back to all the matches I've fought in. And I can't think of one I enjoyed more than this one.
Thank you VERY much for accepting my challenge Omega, because this entire match was just a blast; SO fun, and Cerulean kept me thinking during my posts, especially with all her cryokinetic/hydrokinetic (which speaking of, you really used well. In general, and against Athujen). I was NOT expecting what you did when you flushed his body and fried the ants, gotta hand it to you for that one p: & agreed, Hayes; the last few posts from Cerulean were really brutal and her best posts. I look forward to our rematch, Omega and Cerulean! bwuahahaha >;^D

Athujen dodged Cerulean's beam with a leap to his right, where he had positioned himself to land just behind a row of three buildings whose heights were equal to one another and as high as the midpoint(s) to the dense behemoth's back protrusion. He keeps his blank eyes fixed on Cerulean up in the sky while slightly crouched (taking cover behind said buildings). That's when the UCA sends a couple of hidden loud speakers topside from ports camouflaged with the landscape, and a robotic voice announces something. In his current mental state, the UCA could have announced that he was being sent back home to Earth and Athujen still would not have acknowledged the announcement. Instead of taking cover behind the trio of buildings, Athujen sends his tail crashing through all 3 in a row and topples his cover. His chest pattern bursts open and starts channeling solar energy.
Back in UCA headquarters, gathered in the main viewing room are soldiers posted at each entrance/exit, scientists and engineers either sitting at consoles or standing behind the one sitting down, and the highest-ranked officials sit or stand in the center of the room. Someone shouts, "Oh no! Athujen isn't responding to the loudspeaker!" They need to do something before Athujen ends the life of his enemy. An ignorant high ranking officer says, "What's wrong! Look in Athujen's file and see what we can do to calm him down!" The speaker of these words is new to this planet's outpost and is not familiar with Athujen (or most of the others that this planet/their organization holds, for that matter). "Sir, we tried that as soon as he seemed to enter this state of mind, but this is something new; something he's never exhibited before. We're gonna need to make a note of it in his file once we take care of the situation." The people at consoles type away with fingers hammering the keys of each keyboard and creating clicks, typing while staring directly at each's respective screen without looking down once. They have nothing installed in their city replica arena to calm Athujen down; to clear his mind and have him return to his lovable, affectionate, dimwitted state of mind, his default personality. It becomes clear what has to be done...
The column of fluorescent white light shines down and envelopes Athujen without waiting any longer than they can afford (not even a half second more) because time is of the instance currently. Before Athujen can reach the middle of the Solar Beam charge process, the UCA teleport him back to his living quarters (which is a combination of a grassland and a forest). The teleportation process cancels out the solar energy forming in his chest so that when he appears at the center of his large living area, his chest is still spread open, but the center of Athujen's center is empty; just a hollow compartment. Athujen looks all around for that wretched dragon to continue punishment, but he finds something else in his containment... His colony! Scurrying from trees outlining the vast grassy, hill-containing environment are the radioactive mutant Bullet Ants that Cerulean had taken from him mid-battle. It's a miracle (well, the miracle of the UCA's equipment, specifically the cloner/replicator P: luls)! He finds himself in too much awe to move at the moment. An absolute heap of Bullet Ant kaiju crawl to just in front of Athujen. Well, some do. The rest crawl all over his body and sit there for a moment; some sit on their Master while the rest take refuge inside his body. The sight and awareness of his pals start to snap Athujen out of his battle-focused transformation. His burnt orange eyes revert back to their pale yellow/pastel yellow tint. The UCA team in their viewing room take mention of this fact and declare Athujen back to normal after watching him and his reactions; studying his interaction with his ant friends, the environment, and the artificial strange creatures that are being projected (sort of are holograms. physical holographic images that can be touched and touch back) from Athujen's demented mind/fantasy.
The UCA team take notice and put down in Athujen's file that under extreme duration, the wooden dealer of wallop can enter a state of mind that transforms him into a calculative, sensible, even close to intelligent fighter/creature. Also, when in this state, he becomes several times more dangerous than normal, and should be pursued with the utmost caution when facing or dealing with the wooden titan while he's under this trance. Meanwhile, back in the "city", Cerulean enters her teleportation stream and returns to her quarters to nurse her injuries and become her 100%, battle-ready state. While she gets ready to nap, in the back of her mind she thinks, "I have a feeling I'll be meeting that strange monster tree again in the future. I think...it, just feels like that the stars and overall great celestial body/force, along with fate, have sealed a rematch between me and that...that thing."
i'm immediately gonna add/make note of this trance that Athujen can enter in his profile, and of course I'm gonna make note of what kinds of situations and/or actions can induce this state of mind, what he goes through and experiences during his entrance into the battle state and while acting during this state of mind, everyone/anyone.
