Name: Joseph Phoebus Marvel
Height: 5'8"
Mass: 125 lbs
Age: 19
Description:
Joe is an average college student... about as average as New Strato's Sky Fae population gets, anyway. The Sky Fae are one of the races of genetically advanced, pointy-eared humans, known as Elves, who specialize in scholarly duties and magic, and Joe in particular is a doctor and musician, or at least he was in-training until circumstances forced him out of the Celestial Kingdom along with the remnants of his family. Joe has dark blue hair, with a white hair streak on the left side of his head. His eyes are emerald green, and in terms of build and facial appearance, he resembles Link from The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword or Twilight Princess, only with modern clothing. Specifically, he is never seen without his sky-blue business shirt, something akin to a teenage version of that worn by Dr. Gregory House, although it has accumulated many rips, tears, and stains over his travels. Below this, he wears an ordinary white T-shirt with a light blue version of Princess Celestia's cutie mark on the front, blue jeans with a white version of the same decal on the pocket, and white sneakers.
Personality and History:
Simply put, Joe is the Feminine Boy of the two. He is cautious, calculates based on risks, and relies on the principle of Awesomeness by Analysis. As a Seer, gifted with the ability to witness future events, he prefers to see events based on the future implications and effects that they may impose, and tends to give his own courses of action careful thought first - which can sometimes get him into trouble in situations when hesitation could put him at a disadvantage. Due to years of medical training, Joe is also an expert healer, both with regards to doctoral practices and in magical skills, and is the one to rely upon to take care of injuries suffered by the other members of his team. As a scholar, he is also soft-spoken, gentle, studious, and well-written. When not in combat, he shares Drew's artistic sense, but instead of the visual arts, he thinks more in terms of the auditory and verbal category. He's almost never seen without his trademark NeoStradivarius violin, which he uses to play breathtaking symphonies whenever he has the time.
Joe and his fraternal twin sister Diana were raised as citizens of New Strato ever since birth by their single mother, Leto, who also took care of their best friend Drew during his time in the city. Unfortunately, the twins soon found themselves victimized by Drew's callous, arrogant behavior as they grew up, and they failed to get him to see sense no matter how hard they tried. Despite this, they stood by his side during their days in New Strato High, no matter how much they hated to do it, because they didn't want to embarrass him in any manner. Things took a turn for the worse when Leto was killed in battle when Joe was 18, leaving the twins as the honorary family caretakers. Neither of them were successful at this, as was proven when a major disaster a year later involving a demonic beast that had been sealed away for thousands of years, exacerbated by Drew's continued arrogance and ill-applied sarcasm, resulted in all three of them being expelled from New Strato High, and Drew being banished from the Celestial Kingdom altogether.
Although Joe did blame Drew for the mess he had gotten all three of them in, and although he did express distaste at this change of circumstances, he also sympathized with the young Pteranoid after the latter expressed genuine guilt with regards to this matter - the first known feeling of guilt he'd had in years. As compensation for the loss, Drew offered his friend the mind-link to the kaiju Castor, who took a liking to his eclectic tastes and patient forbearing. Together, Joe, his sister, his friend, and their pterosauroid allies travel across the Surface World, determined to put an end to the dark forces that threaten it.
