Today, in my TV Arts class, we were given the assignment of making a stop motion short film, about 3 to 5 minutes long. The Godzilla fan inside me immediately thought of my revlotech and Monsterarts kaiju figures. So I will be doing a monster movie that has to be under 5 minutes. I already decided that the antagonist would be Gyaos, and that the protagonist/s will be Gamera and/or Baragon. I will be using a variety of resources to complete the film, model buildings, lego, etc. The main problem I'm facing is the plot. Any suggestions on a plot containing Gyaos and maybe Gamera or Baragon? Also, I might include Rodan too. Remember, the plot has to be five minutes long and stop motion doable. I personally can't think of a plot for now, so I'm depending on you guys to help. For those who don't know, here are what the figures look like. The maser tank is there in case the plot includes an army vs monster scene.

Well, actually I DO have the Gigan, Anguirus, and Legion. But they're not going to be in this film, so I didn't place them in the picture.

Uh... Ooh, I know!
Rodan is watching a nest, but Gyaos and Baragon band together to feast on either him or the egg. It seems the unborn hatchling is in danger with only a single guardian, but then the Friend to All Children and mortal foe of Gyaos arrives! Now, its up to Rodan and the Gamera to fend off the ravenous predators. Will they succeed and the egg continue to develop into a new king of the skies? Or will they fail and the egg end up devoured by uncaring jaws?
Just a stupid little thought I had. I do think Baragon and Gyaos should either work together or fight though. They both fit into that 'oversized eating machine' slot.

That could work... but I am planning for some human scenes as well. (hence the need for legos). And not all the monsters HAVE to be used. For now, the only confirmed monster is Gyaos, and perhaps, using camera techniques, angles, and the mini Gyaos figure, I could pull off a multiple Gyaos story. Maybe...
The possibilities are endless. Which is always the problem with me.

Perhaps you can have a plot that involves Rodan invading the city for food, when Gyaos comes in as well looking for food. The two get into a battle, and it's up to the army to keep them from wrecking the city.

If you want my opinion, go with Hayes' idea and forget about the human scenes. We're here for the MOSNTARZ, not to watch some humans ramble (excluding the military, naturally).

While that may be true, this is also a school project, which means that I have to film this while keeping in mind that a few non G fans will be watching this too. So human scenes may be necessary to introduce the monsters.

It'd be kinda funny to feed Lego men to Gyaos.

It'd be kinda funny to feed Lego men to Gyaos. Heheheh... exactly as I'm planning. I have a few updates to talk about. Rodan has changed from "might be in" to "will be in". Gamera meanwhile, has been dropped due to the fact that, as this is a school project, a flying turtle will be a little hard to believe. I'll save Gamera for a sequel. Baragon's position is "should he make an appearance in the film, or not?" I do like Hayes's idea of Rodan's egg being in danger of becoming breakfast, so I'll keep that. Gyaos's story will be in the opening, eating Lego people as an adolescent, and later growing to kaiju size. I just need to fit Rodan in their somewhere and find a way to stick in Baragon as well. (although the fight should be primarily between Rodan and Gyaos.) If I can figure these out, then I think I have a simple plot built up.

Heheh. Sorry Cryo, I finished filming. Expect to see it on YouTube sometime before the 15th of July.
As for any updates, everyone but Rodan and Gyaos were dropped, although someone might make a cameo appearance at the end.
