OOC: I am dreadfully sorry for the delay. I have no excuses. Auroros could only cry out in pain as the acids splashed against his fragile hide. The deadly fluid did its work; the powerful acid quickly ate through his skin and began to ravage the musculature, and threatened to digest away at his skeleton. Mustering up his remaining strength, Auroros let out a cry, before he unleashed a blast of light from every inch of his body. The blast caught Goliath in its radius, blinding the titanic insect and scorching its thick exoskeleton. As goliath stumbled from the blast, Auroros crawled to his feet and quickly took to the skies. But his oppressor was in hot pursuit. The dreadful hum of wings was audible in Auroros' ears, as the massive beetle pursued Auroros through the skies. While not nearly as fast as he was, Goliath made up for his handicap with sheer tenacity. With a whip of his tail, Auroros sent an orb of light right into his foe's face, stunning the massive insect and giving Auroros a little more breathing space. Whirling around quick, Auroros spat a beam of light at Goliath, setting the insect on fire. In fear, Goliath began to spiral towards the ground, before landign with a thunderous thump. Auroros let out a cry, before he dove down after the bug, talons outstretched to claw at his foe...

Goliath can make out the intensely blurred shadow of his heroic counterpart. Intellect should dictate that Goliath retreat, but the feral organism goes with his instincts, and decides to offend. With painful preparing flaps of his thin wings, Goliath shoots forward with a combination attack in mind. Goliath's actions are very risky, and Auroros' attack succeeds as talons clench around Goliath's arms at the "bicep equivalent" for the insect chimera, the exoskeleton succumbing to the pressure and cracking, forcing out a slimy ooze from his limbs, but Goliath's crescent horn pierces through The Guardian of Eternity's upper chest and physically touches the supernatural avian's collar bone.
Phase I, complete.
Now for the second part of the Earth-made chimera's initial offense. Goliath raises his war-torn face to lift Auroros' body slightly upwards while the two hover in place about 250 meters above the ground. With a strength-driven move, Armored Insect Monolith throws Auroros down towards the ground with a slick of blood snaking in the air and breaking apart. The deity's body slides away from the penetration and off the horn, crashing against the ground with brutality; against his shoulder, the one ravaged by Goliath's natural caustic ooze and whatever else the close-range fighter has thrown at it.
Goliath, now landed, goes with his trademark combo attack; it starts by driving the same horn into Auroros' back, seconded by placing a point of his body through the deadliest curved point of the chimeran monolith's body, ending with Goliath leaping through the air to come down Auroros-first into the ground, sliding the impalement tool deeper into one of the hero's sources of agony. Both combination attacks in a row do an additional number on poor Auroros. The avian has to take a breather while his body twitches and feeling like every muscle in his body is overworked. Arguably, Auroros could not have picked a worst enemy to fight (or more accurately, the UCA could not have picked a worse opponent), because of the avian deity's vulnerability to brute physical force, the element that Goliath exclusively deals in. Auroros' entire body is on fire from constant tenderization of appendages and muscles; the nerves are more alive than they have ever been for Eternity's Avian, clearly picking up the pain that has been and continues to spread through the bloodied body like a disease...
For his final attack, Goliath clasps his mandibles around Auroros' chest from behind, tightening so hard that Eternity's Soldier can feel his ribs quiver under pressure, threatening to fracture. While he squeezes, Goliath brings Auroros into the ground hard, with all of his remaining collective strength that the monolith can muster. Slam after slam, Auroros' person deepens grooves in the soil below as he's slammed into the ground from left, to right, to left, etc... Once Goliath is done with his attack, he raises Auroros in the air, and starts to tighten the mandibles even further. For Auroros, well...he didn't think they could go any tighter. Goliath starts to shake his enemy violently in the air to render Auroros' chest cavity and put the hurt on his meal...

now that was a fight, DZ. perfect one to break in Goliath with. it's always a pleasure to fight you, and I have to admit, you got REALLY good hits in with Auroros. I don't see this fight as being one-sided. Now all we do (after your attack, of course) is wait to see who won. *shakes j00 hand* ^__^

OOC: I'm sure Auroros is gonna lose, but this was a pretty solid fight overall. 'Tis a pleasure to fight your monsters, my friend.
Blood seeped from the mangled bird's body, as a shrill cry of pain erupted from Auroros' maw. The cruel vice of the massive beetle, however, did not let up to such a show of mortality; the insect, instead, pressed its advantage, shaking Auroros about as his sharp pincers ripped into the being's body. With a scream, Auroros opened his maw, and blasted Goliath's right in the face with a concentrated beam of light. The insect, in pain, let out a screech, before it released Auroros.
Searing hot flames licked Goliath's face, the intense heat soon beginning to affect the insect's squishy insides from its heat. The weakened facial shall cracked, and soon, gore seeped out from the wounds, making Goliath let out a mighty bellow of pain and agony. Pressing his advantage, Auroros spat another sun beam at his foe, walking slowly in a circle around his (currently) immobile foe. The intense heat made the weakened shell erupt in flames, and crack from the heat, allowing more gore to seep out from within Goliath.
Finally, Goliath managed to overcome his intense suffering and lashed out at Auroros with his nasal horn. Easiyl sensing the motion due to Goliath's burning form, howeve,r Auroros leaped backwards with a beat of his feathered pinions, beofre he took to the skies. As he passed overhead, Auroros sent down yet another beam of light from his maw, adding more intense heat to Goliath's already burned and cracked form. Goliath struggled to dispel his form of the intense flames. Auroros hissed, before hsi talons became aglow. The bird then sent his talons towards his foe liek fiery bommerangs, aiming to slice into the bug's weakened exoskeleton....

"ATTENTION!" crowed the infamous Announcer. "CEASE COMBAT! THE WINNER IS... GOLIATH!"
(Yeah, the bug simply dished out more damage. Auroros was no slouch, but between Goliath's strong offense and generous defense, he just couldn't keep up.)

OOC: Expected, but nonetheless fun. XD
Auroros sighed, exhausted and bloodied, locking his blind gaze at the bug. The bird spoke, somewhat irritated but understanding. His foe was simply STRONGER than he was; and that was something he could respect.
"You are an excellent fighter bug. Put that to good use, and you'll make a good guardian some day," the bird said, before a ray of light sent him back to the hub to recover his wounds.
