So, can we start "introduction" threads for our kaiju, chronicling their arrival to the UCA and their initial reactions and all? Just to get the Roleplaying going?

If it interests anyone, I added a small section to each of my guy's profiles that describe their living quarters. I thought this might be an interesting thing to add a little flare to the profiles, and wanted to share it with you guys in case you might want to add it to yours as well.

Are roleplaying threads in the Hub that aren't open invitations or introductions free for anyone wanting to join to post in, or does some kind permission have to be granted over PM?

Eh, technically they're open to everyone, but if it looks like the participants are working at something it would probably be a good idea to shoot them some PMs first just to make sure you're not going to interrupt anything.

Well, it seems no one has any suggestions. I, however, have one paticular suggestion.
I think we should extend how many monsters we can post. If you ask me, if we have all these great concepts and ideas, then it wouldn't be very fair if we could only put in 5 monsters. I was thinking we should increase the number. Like up to 7? Maybe 10?

As it stands, the 5 monsters that everyone has currently are each barely getting used with any regularity. If people had more, each would get used even less. That's precisely why I set the limit: so there weren't lots of monsters that rarely or never got used. Having a smaller roster also makes it easier for people to make and advance storylines between each other.

Huh. Makes sense, I suppose.
EDIT: Okay, after some thinking, I've got another idea.
I think we should have a "Demonstration Battles" thread, which we show how powerful our monsters are by pitting them against already made characters. I also think we should make a "Fantasy Matches" thread like at Toho Kingdom. I got the idea from the old arena after searching around it for a bit. I was thinking maybe in the "Fantasy Matches" thread we could put in any character, from our own monsters, to movie monsters, to video game characters, to real animals, etc.
But you don't have to make this if you don't want to.

I have a question regarding role playing.
What is the basic story behind the arena anyway? I have been looking all over but have found nothing too detailed. I find it's easier for writing if I know details. Are the monsters there against their will, like gladiators? How were they brought here? What does the hub look like? Little things like that.
If anyone could answer this it would be appreciated.

This arena really exists solely for the entertainment of the masses in the universe. How the monsters got there depends on how YOU wanted them to get here. Most will be brought against their will, but you can have a monster join for the sole purpose of fighting, or a mech that was sent here for a specific purpose. IR left it vague on purpose so you can create your own backstories for your critters.

As for what the Hub looks like, it basically consists of a bunch of huge buildings that house the monsters, with large open areas for the monsters to hang out and mingle. There's also cafeteria buildings. About a month after starting the UCA I had actually thought about adding a sticky to each area with a more detailed description and example pics. The short descriptions I have under the forum sections seemed to work well enough for everyone though, so I never went through with it. I guess I could revive that idea if people want me to. I've still got the pics saved on my comp.

Ooh, a visual of what the all the different areas look like would be cool, particularly the Hub.
