Today, the might wide Savannah would witness a earth shattering battle. A battle of power and wits.... A power of Dragons!
Thick and dark clouds hung over the sky, sunset coming within the next hour. A crack of lightning split the sky, followed by column of light. It was beautiful... but not natural. Erupting from the light, shadowed wings overtook the grassy scape. Wind howled as it flew down to the the ground, landing with a loud crash as his claws clung to the earth.
Lord Hurican has arrived! Not here 10 minutes and already the tyrant had ended up getting into a fight with another prideful dragon, Ketos. Not only a fight, but it was going to be a damn blood feud. Looking around, Thanatos glared. Face your superior coward! GIVE ME MY SATISFACTION!

Before the echoes of the mighty bull's cries even faded, there was a second pillar of light and the sneering head of Ketos pushed through it. The sea monster's fanged maw yawned with casual venom.
"The only satisfaction to be had here today will be mine, and it shall be over your split skull."
Stepping forward, the brilliance column flickering out of existence behind him, the Demon of the Deep gouged the soft earth with his weight, clawed feet sinking into the loose soil. Ketos growled, his eyes narrowed at Thanatos. Admit he was a vermin? Never. He would win this battle. There simply wasn't another option.
"I hope you know that you are destined to loose here, beast," Ketos drawled, a grim humor in his blood orbs. "It will always be so. The flame is your weapon. Water is mine. It is only natural that I am stronger. Water is everywhere. It is in the coldest of mountaintops and the hottest of deserts. It is in the deepest of trenches and the highest of clouds. Water is life. The flame can never persist though. It is the symbol of destruction itself, and destruction is never spared from itself. It must burn out eventually. It must destroy itself."
The blue behemoth smirked, one blood red eye crinkling up.
"And you have chosen me as your method of self-destruction."

"Parish and be silenced! Thanatos literally screamed like a demon as he spewed forth an immediate blast of hellfire itself. Ketos at first was about to somehow counter with water.... but... there was no water. This was a dry savannah of grass. No lakes. Couldn't exactly hide either. What cover was there? No other choice, he ducked to the side as flames shot past him and scorched the endless moor black and red. The green grass died within seconds and gave off black smoke as its moisture burned.
Ketos was now on the run. Thanatos in all his powerful flame turned his head while spitting flames. If Ketos stopped, he was going to be burned. Thanatos was giving him no quarter either. Literally not a chance to fight back. But wait, there was water here! He could spit it out! Stopping dead in his tracks, the blue beast faced the flames. He had to make up a large amount to stop all that... Deep breath, and fire! The water came out in a massive geyser and struck the inferno hard and erupted in a "Boom!" as the water began to evaporate as quickly as it came out. However it was also holding off the fire.
Each literally breathing their elements, they were at a stand off. Steam began filling the air all around them as a hot mist. Vision soon become partially impaired. But Ketos could not show any weakness by letting up now!
But he didn't have too.
Exploding out of the clashing of elements, Thanatos erupted out, charging right through the fire and water. He took the force of his powerful water struck his head with immense force. This blind charge through the attack caught Ketos so off guard that he barley had time to even stop spitting out water. Powerful jaws crushed around Ketos's neck, just behind his head. Teeth easily pierced the waterlogged skin, going deep. Jaws larger then Hera's, he had easily wrapped his entire maw around the water leviathans throat. The pressure was intense. Already Ketos began coughing up flows of blood as veins were pierced and flesh was ripped.
Thanatos shook his head back and forth rapidly like a dog with a chew toy. Gagging and choking from his throat being clamped.
Luckily the ash king let go, flinging his catch down onto the ground with no gentle practice. Able to breath, Ketos gasped for air. Coppery blood filled his mouth, though and his throat was torn up. But no rest for him! Thanatos's slammed square into his back, pinning him down. Teeth grasped his right arm and began to twist and pull hard, making Ketos shrill in pain. Blood spewed from the teeth marks. "Release me you foul mongrel!" Ketos demanded in his pain.
Annoyed and angry, Thanatos did with the reply of, "It is you that is a mongrel! I am a pedigree, bred from a long line of kings! " In his anger, he raised his other claw, ready to smash in Ketos's face.

The hefty clawed wing of the dragon bull came down, but the left arm of the sea monster rose to catch it. The impact rocked Ketos, making him loose a strained grunt. Growling into gored meat, Thanatos bit down harder into the blue behemoth's arm, his sneering fangs splitting skin and ripping flesh. Ketos groaned, the low cry a mix of pain and effort, and the shark-skinned monster began pushing up. Slowly, the Tyrant of the Seas rose on shaky legs, Thanatos slumped over his back and shoulder, an enormous hunk of deadweight. The winged beast was larger, but the aquatic titan was still heavier! The Crypt Dragon was astonished. A smaller beast actually lifting him up?
With a muffled below of anger, the bull began to thrash and flail, and his jaws clamped with as much strength as they could muster. Despite the larger monster causing such a ruckus, Ketos slowly spun around, ducking his angular head under the arm Thanatos held in his blood-splattered jaws, free arm braced against the bull's massive horns. Needle teeth flashing in a nasty grin, the sea dragon forced his shredded arm deeper into the bull's gullet. Thanatos gagged and chocked, teeth slamming and slashing down as the serrated hide brushed against vulnerable tissue, slicing and splitting it.
Once his arm was shoved elbow-deep into the Crypt Dragon's throat, Ketos sunk his talons into the soft meat within and ripped out with a devilish cackle.
The sapphire limbs was freed from Thanatos's throat with a gush of crimson, strips of pink polluting the red vomit. The bull gurgled in agony, blood spewing from his twisted lips like rabid spittle. Ketos's laughter cracked like thunder as he watched the brute suffocate on his own essence, bloody claws wrapped around his gut in his great chortles. As the sound of mocking reached his eras, Thanatos roared like a hurricane, his maw exploding with searing crimson and orange. A gout of flames left the dragon's yawning maw like a fiery wall, vaporizing the blood he strangled on and nearly engulfing Ketos, the sea monster only just stepping from its path.
"You scoundrel!" came the rumbling cry. "I shall bust your head for that!"
Ketos snickered, dropping down to a kneel. A wicked smirk was carved into the ocean king's face. "You can try, mutt." A chuckle. "Try and fail."
Ketos pressed a first into the soft soil as Thanatos writhed. The blue behemoth was reaching down, searching with an invisible grip. There were no lakes or stream or rivers here, but there was water. There was always water. The Crypt Dragon whipped his great horned head about now, slobber flying from his snarling jaws. Ketos hurried his search, a frustrated growl coming from his maw. The brute was about to charge. The growl became a purr, only moments later. There, deep underground- an aquifer. Not a large one, yes, but enough. Thanatos suddenly smashed the dry earth with his wings, bounding at his oceanic rival with a wordless cry of hatred. Ketos spread his talons, separating the water body below into several thin sheets, focusing their edges into razor sharpness. Thanatos pounced, his wings snapping out like leather lashes to carry the furious bull on his blood-drenched path. Ketos brought his spread claws up a triumphant crow.
The savanna split as five broad liquids blades erupted from the bowels of the earth and cut into the Crypt Dragon.
Screeches of pain came from Thanatos as he was laid open. His side, shoulder, tail, and wings all drenched the flatland with blood, his tough hide broken by the razor-edged sheets of water. The offending blades froze about fifty meters above the bull as he crashed down, tearing the earth asunder with his rage. Clenching his open palm into a fist again, Ketos pulled the vapor from his scorched geyser breath out of the sky, condensing it and adding it to the aqua-blades. Rolling the combined liquid mass into a rough orb, Ketos hack out a laugh and punched down. Thanatos reared as a hundreds of tons of water hammered into his spine, bending the sprawled dragon like a discarded pipe cleaner. Letting his element soak the bull, Ketos brought his talons together, clawtips touching.
"Now see why my power will always trump your," hissed the Demon of the Deep.
The underwater juggernaut clapped his hands together, and the water pooling around Thanatos contracted like a suffocating liquid cocoon...

Thanatos rose against the attack... but he was too late. The water came and coiled around his body like the tomb that the water dragon had planned. He took it a step further too. The swirling water that encased his foe began to cool to a great degree. Pieces had begun to freeze into shards. More froze, until finally the trap was complete... All that was left was a massive icy tomb with the black figure of Thanatos remaining inside, seeming as lifeless as stone...
Now.. Ketos began to chuckle, then began laughing like a maniacal madman. "THE TRUE PURE BLOOD IS VICTORIOUS!" Arrogant like a true dragon.
The sound of a cracking glacier stopped his gleeful cheer. His eyes latched onto the ice formation as a crack split down, top to bottom. Then another, and another, each time a powerful gust of steam erupting out any escape possible. Pressure built quickly, too quickly. Everyone who had a brain knew that water that expanded faster then it could release its energy knew what followed. Like a bomb, the cocoon of ice erupted in a glorious flash of flame and light, sending shards of ice in all direction. Ketos covered his eyes to avoid being blinded, but that intense heat! When he looked avian, Thanatos stood in the midst of a burning crater that held not a drop of liquid nor a piece of ice. It was simply too hot for water to exist in forms. Thanatos himself glared with immense rage as the fire lapped around his form. His cruel eyes showed no mercy of the king that he was. All of his kind had terrible pride and rage underneath their wrappings of nobility and stature. Underneath, they too, like all creatures, held primordial lines to ancient times. Now, you will know the true power of an unbroken line of pure bred draconian's! he cried in true rage. With his passionate hate, flames erupted high into the sky from his body. A mountain of pure flame and heat that was strong enough to cause the clouds above to begin parting from the surge of rising hot air.
..Ketos was gonna need a lot more water. But his pride would never allow him to back down. "Is that all you have to offer? I known more powerful demons!"
But Thanatos would not hear his adversaries words now. Both wings opened and beat just once against the rising heat, not only lifting him into the air, but sending a literal wall of fire hurting at Ketos like at tidal wave. Not too bad for Ketos. Calling upon the thick mist around him again, he forced a string of water and whipped it forward, cutting a line between the oncoming flames, cutting the wave in half at the expense of the water. Two waves hurtled past him on each side, scorching earth as they went. All Ketos got was a unpleasant wind of hot air.
But with Thanatos also taking to the air, he rose high above to where Ketos simply could not reach. It was now that Ketos recalled Hera's battle. He knew what was coming and could avoid it... Couldn't he? Hera was a bad beast of her own... but Thanatos was just far worse. He gulped much air into his stomach, then began to fire a bombardment of explosive balls of fire. If Ketos thought he was getting out of this one, he was mistaken. These balls were far larger and more powerful then what he remembered. He noticed now that what was coming down at him might as well been falling meteors from their size. He turned to dodge, but the first hit and erupted in a massive ball of destruction the likes few have seen and lived to tell about it. Ketos shrilled as the flames engulfed him. Flames scorched his sensitive waterlogged skin and blisters boiled to the surface. This was not the end either. Even as the first explosive rose as a mushroom cloud that would probably make a Japanese citizen piss his pants in the memory of the bombing, more fireballs struck all around Ketos, each one sending unbearable heat and flames in all directions and bathing unfortunate Ketos in flames.
With a prideful grin, Thanatos lowered to the earth to inspect his foes condition. Craters and smoke surrounded the leviathan. The blue devil held his shoulders in his claws, quivering as much of his skin boiled and screamed for cool relief of glacial water. Yeah, he liked tropical seas... but a frozen one would be heavenly. But he was angry. "HOW DARE YOU!" Ketos screamed. "You dare scar my glorious body, you arrogant beast!"
Thanatos only snorted as he hovered a few hundred feet away. "A true dragon would not whimper from his injuries as you do, he insulted. "Now, die. Thanatos opened his maw and released a blast of flame he did not intend to let up upon.

With a draconic curse under his breath and a mass of Hell falling upon him, Ketos brought together two talons and slashed them through the air. A broad band of water condensed from the atmosphere and flowed before the dragon, the flames striking only seconds after it took position. Steam erupted into the air with a monstrous hiss, the fire of Thanatos evaporating the liquid barrier almost faster than Ketos could feed it. It was the water cycle in fast forward, the heat vaporizing the liquid water and the water vapor returning to liquid form, all within a matter of moments as the two elemental forces dueled, one on the attack, one defending its master. The protection the sash of water provided was no complete though, and Ketos could soon feel his arms and sides crackle and sizzle. To keep his liquid barricade from being demolished completely, the sea monster was forced to keep it at a certain thickness, a girth than didn't allow for full coverage of his body. So, his flesh burned anyway, although not nearly as badly as it could have been.
Hovering above, thick membranes brutalizing the air, Thanatos was growing short of breath. He could hold his breath for far longer than any normal beast, but the flames that spewed from his gullet fed on oxygen greedily, sucking away his endurance like a fiery whirlpool. Before long, the Crypt Dragon was forced to end his searing blast with a shaky gasp, his broad chest heaving. As the flames and smoke cleared below, a beefy arm parting them, Ketos sneered up, hatred in his demon's gaze. His thighs, sides, and elbows were blackened and charred, dark flakes of flesh falling away as he pointed his talons at the mighty bull above.
"I will give you something to whimper about, simpleton!" the Demon the Deep hissed, and his arm stabbed forward like a saber.
The blue behemoth's watery shield- by now super-heated and boiling- launched forward, splitting into two separate streams. Thanatos sneered. So little water, no matter how hot, had no chance of hurting him. He was fireproof! Screeches of pain broke the bull's smugness, for the bubbling shots of water didn't wet his tough hide or flame-worn throat, but his eyes! Thanatos bellowed in agony and outrage as the most sensitive and vital of all his sensory tools were scorched, the heat like twin spikes of suffering straight to his brain. Taking advantage of the larger dragon's flailing agony with a gleeful cackle, the Tyrant of the Seas spat up a pillar of hot water, the forceful geyser smashing into the wings of the thrashing brute. Great membranes buckling, Thanatos plunged, his thick coils wavering angrily and his head rearing.
Boom!
The soft soil was scattered as if by a bomb, and the royal Crypt Dragon was rocked just the same, his flesh and bones jarred. A savage crack shot through the bull's massive horns, the fracture able to be traced from one curled ramming weapon to the other. The proud beast lunged up, wings pounding the earth in his fury, but in a flash of serrated blue hide, he has shoved back again, his jaws forced open and something foul forced within. Laughing like a child playing rough with his toys, Ketos was shoving a tree down the larger male's throat! Thanatos bellowed and moan past the wooden weapon, waves of suffering radiating from his already shredded interior as the tree was pushed deeper, its filthy roots leaving gashes and scrapes infested with soils and bark. Once the improvised gag was engulfed up to its leafy top, Ketos backed away, a dark delight in his steps. The ocean king laughed merrily, even as Thanatos spat a bit of fire and launched the tree against his chest like a cannon, the flaming projectile bouncing harmlessly off and landing at the dragon's feet.
While his horned rival spat and snarled, the Demon of the Deep retched up another column of seawater, the boiling blast carving a trench towards Thanatos as it shredded grass and soil...

The stream of boiling water came and struck the king along his armored back, making him stumble slightly. Having cleared his throat(btw, fun tribute there Hayes to Godzilla vs King Kong) of the tree at last, he spawned a very dark idea of his own. Ketos wanted to play like a child? Very well, Ketos had earned evils beyond his own invention.
Turning on the blue behemoth, Thanatos rushed forward. Ketos was ready, though, charging head on to meet the king of ash in battle. As they met, Ketos thrust his claw forward, blades of ice forming as a blade. The edge cut deep within the Lord's neck, but he did not stop. His claw caught the leviathan by with his teeth, jaws wrapped around the sea dragons snout in a powerful grip. Cartilage and veins snapped within Keto's nose and blood began pouring from his nostrils. Quick to react, but not quick enough, he attempted to try and reach up to gore out the kings eyes once and for all. But Thanatos did not allow this. He instead thrusted a single wing forward and slammed his two claws deep into the false dragons gut. The blow, powerful as could be, pierced the underbelly of Ketos and made him gasp in great agony, for Thanatos drove his palm straight into the torso.
What Thanatos did next was low even for a rogue dragon. Feeling for anything he could, he found a hefty sum of organ within the body of his enemy. He gripped it, and with a hard twist and a terrible pull, he ripped the organ out of the corpse of Ketos with all the force he could. Ketos double over in some of the most agonizing pain he has probably ever felt. Blood simply gushed out from the hole in his stomach. "AHHHH! YOU CURR! YOU BEAST!" Oh god it hurt. Thanatos held the organs up in his palm. A kidney, much gore from surrounding tissue with veins still pumping, and a large portion of liver. "Dragons do not use carved weapons. A real dragon uses his own power that he earned! Now, you thought it was so funny, did you not, of sticking a tree down my throat? his eyes were glazed with the wrath of all his kind as he loomed over the agonized dragon. "Well then, do onto others as others... "NO!" Ketos cried, shooting up to defend, but was pinned back with his free claw. Pinned by his throat, Thanatos was quick to coil the struggling blue devil with his powerful coils. He could struggle, but even his sharp hide did not free him. Thanatos breathed flames onto the still pulsating gore he held in his grasp. It heated and steamed... "Mmm medium... Now, EAT IT! Without even waiting for Ketos to react, he pried his jaws wide and slammed his hand right into Ketos's mouth, down in the back of his throat. Forced to keep his mouth shut, Thanatos cackled like a made beast as he forced Ketos to swallow his very own flesh and blood. Unfortunate Ketos gagged and began to vomit, but force to swallow that as well since he could not spit out.
Thanatos just laughed at his enemy while beginning to tighten his coils around him, attempting to crush him... But really, he was going to try to force out the stomach contents so he could fed them to Ketos again.

Thanatos's ploy succeeded, although not in the way he intended.
As the mighty bull wrung Ketos with his thick coils, his strength crushing the leviathan painfully, the blue behemoth reared back and inhaled, an act that caused the Crypt Dragon to hack out a laugh. Classic mistake. As soon as the arrogant beast breathed back out, he would be able to further his death grip, moving closer and closer to either forcing the smaller monster to regurgitate his own kidney or simply squeezing the life from the bestial braggart. But Ketos had a plan of his own, and he executed it explosively. Thanatos would have no time to tighten his coils. Wit and power focused by pure fury, vengeance pushing him past suffering, the sea monster threw his head forward and spat forward not a simply geyser, but a bomb of water and cooked tissue. With both the usual force of the ocean king's breath weapon and the pressure created by Thanatos's constriction, the mass of charred meat impacted like a bazooka of gore, a crimson starburst engulfing the horned titan's sneering face. The Crypt bull fell backwards from the red ring, his muzzle and brow split clean open by the blow. The outlandish organ canon had been too much from the scaly skin, stretched tightly over the royal's fierce skull. Blood trailing from his head in a spewing stream, Thanatos toppled with a shocked cry, pain reverberating in his howl. The big bull's serpentine length slipped from around Ketos and immediately launched into spams of agony.
Wasting no time on insults or boasts, the Demon of the Deep lunged forward, eyes glowing like evil spotlights. The hydrokinetic giant pulled a massive amount of water from the air, drawing from only a fraction of the steam their elemental duels had already created, and constructed two compressed liquid gauntlets from himself. A savage snarl possessed the undersea juggernaut as he lashed out, more than just hatred or anger in his blazing orbs.
There was Hell itself in them, and the afterlife beyond that.
No one desecrated Ketos so and went unpunished. No one.
The Tyrant of the Seas brought an arm up like a piston, the clenched first cracking into the thorny chin of Thanatos like the swing of a world-class boxer. In the very instant contact was made, the gauntlet exploded into a jagged glove of blades, thin sheets of razor-edged water stabbing in every direction. The Crypt Dragon screeched in agony as his muzzle was pierced a dozen times over, liquid sabers plunged into his cheek, tongue, jaw, throat, and even the roof of his mouth. Crimson squirted from the thrashing head like it was a ghoulish fountain. Letting loose with the other arm as the horned monstrosity writhed, Ketos skewered the squamate's side with another bristling assortment of aquatic swords, the bull curling in agony and blood spurting like a grisly sprinkler. Weaponized gauntlets running red, the Demon of the Deep heaved up with a wordless scream, either to hurl the Crypt Dragon through the air with adrenaline-enhanced might or simply let his liquid weapons rip free and split the bleeding bull further...

Ketos heaved, and managed to yank the dragon up... But possibly not as good as he would have hoped. The moment Thantos felt the free air, he spread his wings into the empty air to catch the wind.
In his own rage, Ketos probably forgot his foe could fly. Giving Thanatos the leverage of the air was not a wise move. The wings of the beast allowed him to start soaring and free of the sharp weapons that anchored his skin, but just before he did, his tail coiled around the leviathans throat. Possibly the most powerful flyer out of a long line of dragons, Ketos was yanked right off his feet by the male crypt dragon. The pull caused him to gasp in surprise. He had no chance to recover either as now two massive wings beat the air furiously, dragging him along the grassy plains and all they had to offer in stones, trees, and then some. Not that much, all honesty.
Like some roller coaster ride through hell, Ketos bounced and skidded along the earth like a toy. His rough skin was the only protecting from major cuts and wounds. Still, he was being tossed around like a lightweight. When he tried to open his jaws to spray a geyser, he got a mouthful of earth. Terrible. At last he found leverage and managed to stand up, his feet slowly drawing the flying beast to a stop. Flapping harder then ever, Thanatos tried to render this, but could not. With a glare, Ketos grasped hold of the tail and bite down upon it with all his might! The scaly flesh gave way, causing the king to shriek in pain. The mutagentic blood seeped into his jaws... Another case of Dragon Acne to come, or worse. Time to right this. Rather, time to upright it. Bending his head back, Thanatos hacked up a ball of flame straight down at the feet of false dragon. Striking head onto the knee, Ketos lost his leverage and feel over.
Wising up to dragging this mannerless whelp was a bad idea, Thanatos quickly got another one. Instead of flapping forward, he began to rise up. Slowly but surely he dragged Ketos off his feet and up off the ground entirely. It wasn't a cryptic plan, either. The higher the went, more obvious it was. 1000-feet, 2000, 3000 and going up. Lord Hurican was going to go as high as he possibly could. All the while, Ketso continued to fight by biting and slashing at the tail around his neck. While it hurt, Thanatos only grinned. Go ahead! allow yourself to fall! He was right. By now they had climbed at least a mile upward off the ground. But would Ketos listen? Hell no! Seeing he was about to lose his tail, Thanatos stopped and hovered, sneering down at his catch. "A dragon, you say? Very well! Let's see what your mudblood kind knows about flying! Thanatos didn't just let go.. nope. He allowed himself to drop, skydiving head first down with gravity pulling him forward. About a thousand feet from the dive, he opened his wings and released his grip on Ketos, allowing the devil to cascade down toward the earth with Thanatos cackling loudly.
While he was enjoying the screams of the falling beast, he began to follow to watch the impact after a few seconds.

There would be no impact in that moment, for with a nasty grin Ketos employed a tactic that had proven quite useful on flying foes and more in past battles. Curling his falling form into a condensed ball, the blue behemoth angled his smirking maw towards the ground and readied the aquatic cannon of his gullet. With a cry that was part triumphant crow and part cackling laugh, the Tyrant of the Seas loosed a powerful jet of water, and the pillar of boiling seawater slammed into the earth in a burst of shredded soil and fine mist. The fall of the sea monster slowed, the power of his oral projectile fighting off gravity with all the fierceness of Ketos himself. Thanatos watched in slack-jawed amazement at the ocean king's plunge actually reversed, and the broad back of the undersea beast began rocketing up at him. The Crypt Dragon could only gape while Ketos laughed thunderously.
This was one sea dragon that could fly!
Ketos slammed into the airborne bull like a cannonball, the winged titan rolling to the side with a pained howl. The grand bull's chest, a portion of his thick leathery wing, and the side of his skull were split open, spitting blood where Ketos's short, sharp spines had sliced across his body. Moaning like a dying god, the royal Crypt Dragon plummeted from the skies, thrown from his throne of clouds by an invader of another element.
"Your wench should have warned you about that trick, halfwit!" roared the Demon of the Deep as he hung above the falling Thanatos, geyser cut off to free his jaws for gloating.
Unfortunately for the blue beast, lightning did not strike twice, and before he could weave a method of returning to the earth safely, the lengthy body of his rival whipped us and looped around his ankle. With a surprised bellow, the underwater ruler was yanked down to suffer with his victim. Together- one brutal beast of great pride attached to another- the savage foes crashed into the featureless terrain of the grassland, their combined weight blowing the soft soil apart.
Ketos was up first, because while he had more mass to be crushed under, Thanatos's horns had acted like direct channels of force to his brain, stunning the larger male. Staggering towards the Crypt bull, blood soaking his serrated hide, the Demon of the Deep hissed, crimson flying from his curled lips. Sapphire sabers lunging, the dragon sank a single claw into the other male's ragged throat, and then dragged down. Thanatos writhed and gurgled as he was opened jugular to groin, crimson rivers flowing down his twitching body like streams of molten lava over a volcano that bleed its very lifeblood from mortal wounds.
Ketos sneered. "Let's clean that dirtied blood of yours," snarled the leviathan of hatred and vengeance through barred fangs.
The Crypt Dragon reared with a blood-spewing howl as Ketos unleashed his geyser breath directing into his open gut! The long furrow carved into Thanatos's body spat crimson water from its entire length, a wall of the blood-stained fluid rising from the screaming beast as his innards were pummeled mercilessly. Jaws snapping shut with a disgusted snort, Ketos aimed his angular snout high and loosed another jet of superheated water, this time towards the shredded throat of his hated foe...

(So many godzilla references in the move set today. lawls all around!)
The hot water struck with the force of high-pressured water gun against an insect, in that it hurt like a mother fucking bitch! Thanatos gargled a roar of pain as his body ached and screamed for relief. Any normal creature would have the sense to flea. But Crypt Dragons, like most true dragons, held such pride and harbored such anger that it it drove them to fight on until they were unable to continue.
And Thanatos may have been the worst of all when it came to his anger. He held his wing up to block the water, which was difficult enough with entire body burning with the pain that may have well made even the greatest of monsters fall to their knees. Oh, but Thanatos had no knees... Shame. Ketos had no limit when it came to giving the king new ideas. Sure, Ketos could do some nasty things... but Thanatos could and would do much worse; such as right now! Whipping his long tail outward and low, the coil snatched Ketos by his leg and yanked him off balance. The moment was quick as Thanatos had thrown himself atop his adversary with no mercy. Ketos was ready to retaliate, but then...
As if some weird, queer advance, Thanatos's jaws had logged with Ketos! What the hell? This was... unrepresented. A little gross to one another as both had foul, offensive breath that neither enjoyed in the least. However, this was as dark a move as any. Deep within the stomach of Thanatos, heat boiled out of control with his anger. Ketos wanted to attack from the inside, huh? Well, do onto others! Flames erupted from the depths of the dragons gut, rocketing out as if under great pressure. The moment Ketos realized the building heat, he was suddenly filled with flames a split second after as a massive ball of flame shot down his throat and into his gut. What happened next was something that most would have died from. Something that Hera had done before to some of her opponents... But Hera was a matchstick compared to Thanatos
Ketos's gut had exploded into a hellfire as if a volcano had literally erupted within Ketos. His stomach was immediately blown wide open, and the blast also split his outer skin, erupting in a flow of steam and smoke. A normal fireball erupted with great power, but this! The blast was enough to make Thanatos flinch back as now the water leviathan became a living torch. Ketos thrashed around, screaming in the greatest pain he may ever experience. Flames spewed from his mouth and nostrils as it did from the massive wound in his stomach. His lungs burned as he attempted to breath. The back of his eyes stung with all hell. His insides literally had become an inferno that simply was not going out. What was saving him from just falling over dead? His water. Being a beast of the sea, he was full of it and could produce it readily. He may be burning from the inside out, but it was being fought off.
While Ketos was running around with a chicken with his head cut off, Thanatos was taking a short breath... he held his stomach with one wing... being split like that was a serious wound. He needed to make due. Taking his injured wing, he ripped some of the webbing free and quickly tied it around his torso to hold his massive wound shut.
Now his attention back came back to his enemy, who was still on fire. Ketos looked like a walking burnt corpse. A good section of his abdomen was gone and ribs could be seen, and closer look revealed organs behind places where flesh was completely burned off. But he was living with it. Most of his nerves were now dead and thus much of the pain was void. "You... will.... Pay dearly for this!"
Thanatos was not impressed. "BUUUURRRRRNNNNNNN!!!!" As Thanatos screamed, flames came out with a fury to continue torching the sea serpent to his death if he could bloody well manage it.

Anger overcoming sense, tactic consumed by fury, Ketos charged into the flames with a wordless howl. His open gut and charred innards sang with agony, each step a jolt of mind-numbing pain, but the adrenaline that burned through the sea monster's veins was more potent that anything the Crypt Dragon could spew. An almost subconscious act, water flowed from deep underground and wrapped the blue beast in a protective coat of filthy brown liquid, the groundwater vanishing in an eruption of steam as Ketos met the flames. The Demon of the Deep was swallowed by the vomit of fire, and Thanatos's open maw curled with glee at the mental image of the arrogant braggart blackened and dead.
Those grisly hopes were dashed as the mighty bull was smashed into and his jaws forced shut.
Saber-like claws wrapped around the larger male's jaws, Ketos lunged forward and sunk his thin fangs into Thanatos's throat. Biting into the already shredded jugular, the sea dragon shook his head savagely, like a rabid hound. Blood poured down the ocean king's serrated hide, some of it dripping into his open body cavity, as if Thanatos was replenishing the lost essence there with his own. Even as his foe choked on his own blood, Ketos decided it wasn't enough, and the Tyrant of the Seas unleashed a jet of hot water. Thanatos screamed in outrage, angry cries muffled by both his own teeth and jaws and Ketos's finger. The Crypt bull's throat filled with boiling seawater, and then his stomach. Even the horned titan's lungs were flooded. Now drowning on a mix of heat, saltwater, and blood, Thanatos heaved and gasped, crimson-tinted fluid falling from his throat and nostrils with each pained gurgle. Ketos would have held him there, talons around his maw, teeth in his jugular, until the larger bull died in utter agony, but the will to survive was a strong one. His own adrenaline pumping, the winged dragon lashed out with a hefty wing, claws smashing into Ketos's face. The sea monster was shoved back, crimson spreading from his burst brow. He screamed in suffering, red running down his muzzle, but the blue behemoth would not be thwarted so easily though.
"You cannot," hissed the seething leviathan. "Escape me with your life!"
The Demon of the Deep catapulted forward and grappled with Thanatos. The bigger male was easily pushed back, his strength sapped and his body still swirling with water. Too busy coughing and spitting up crimson-stained seawater, the Crypt Dragon was pushed down under the weight of his foe, and Ketos pressed a burly forearm into the the area joining the bull's snout and brow. Roaring like an avenging beast, the bladed beast raked his shark-like skin back and forth, sawing into the face of his hated rival. Thanatos squealed, his skin and flesh peeled away like the brittle coating of a peanut. Red gore replaced dark hide, and as Ketos drew his blood-smothered arm back, the eyes of Thanatos shined brightly against the crimson that was left of his features. Even the bull's eyelids had been torn away!
Laughing like a madman, the Tyrant of the Seas reared back and prepared to stab his claws down into the oozing area, maw yawning in sadistic chortles...

When Ketos lunged, Thanatos related like a corner animal. His jaws opened wide and caught the hand in his teeth like a bear trap! Having little to no feeling in his jaw, Ketos only snarled in frustration as the teeth pierced through his charred palm. Angered by this, he threw his head down and bit down upon damaged horn of the bull dragon.
The two began pushing and pulling as neither let go. In their struggles, both monsters ended up rolling across the land as one attempted to tear something from the other. At some point Thanatos had released his grip with a huff of flame, burning the already ashen hand further. The bone was exposed now, with muscle tendons very prominent. But Ketos refused to let go. His teeth and claws held to the horn, attempting to split the whole thing off from where it was fractured earlier. However, the horns from a bull crypt dragon were like his crown. Already it was damaged and defiled, but if Ketos thought he was about to do worse then he had another thing coming.
Lifting his head high, Ketos refused to still let go. Head virtually in Ketos's gut and stomach, Thanatos let another unrestrained wall of flame that burned the damaged flesh and entered through the every expanding openings of the blue devils wounds. Upon feeling the fiery pain upon his organs, Ketos released with a howl of agony. Ketos lunged again, but Thanatos did as well, head low, headbutting his massive crown of horns into his enemies gut with all the force he could muster. Ketos was knocked from his feet and sent tumbling back from the blow.
Now with a moment to gain air, Thantos freed himself of the earth with his massive wings. But he did not rise up and away as before... Flames erupted from his maw and enveloped his entire form in a giant living torch. Harmlessly the flames whipped over hi s flesh and wings. Ketos, quick to rise, glared at the flames. "You think coating yourself in your element will save you?" the dragon mocked. "No... " He answered. "But it shall be your end! " The whole form shot forward like a lit rocket on the forth of July, beefed up to scale. In his wake, flames clung to the air like the trail of a falling star. In retaliation Ketos let the pressurized water fly, but missed as Thanatos banked hard to his right.
Continuing his hard turn, the king of ash quickly made a full turn all around the burning blue giant... and continued on. All the while, Ketos was still firing his water to try and knock him down. Too focused on his target, he failed to notice the trail of flames that swirled around him in the wake of the flying disaster. Slowly, but surely, a vortex of flame began to build up in a slow and ominous manner. After several passes, a complete swirling wall of flame now surrounded Ketos. It was only now as the entirely air around him was lit alive with the crimson light of what was a twister of flames. All around, a torrent of fire blocked every escape route. Worse yet, each second the gale of heat began to grow.
Thanatos rose higher and higher, bringing the wall of flames to greater strength and size. But Ketos saw no problem. "You believe this is your ace in the hole?" Even as his skin began to boil. As if he could break free, he aimed his geyser breath at the wall of flames... however it turned to steam as it hit. Again he tried, and again. But Lord Hurican was in control here. From high above stared with eyes that held no mercy. "What is so cold it is hot and so hot it is cold? The words echoed in Ketos's ears... Was this a test? "How dare you mock... me?" He was short of breath. As it turned out, the swirling flames sucked in great amount of air... but only to burn. Inside it was becoming harder to breath with each second. Now Thanatos delivered the punchline. "Your burning corpse. . .
With no remorse, Thanatos continued to circle, faster and faster, bringing the twister to an all time high.
