Name: Li'Nandra
Height: 3 feet at the shoulders. Normally maintains a sitting position, but travels by flight or a gallop, due to her shorted forelimbs.
Length: 7 feet
Mass: 160 lbs
Age: *shrugs* Has been around for a good four thousand years, likely longer, but still appears young. 25ish... maybe?
Description: First things first, Li'Nandra is a sphinx. Her body structure is pretty much similar to this here:
Her fur, hair, and feathers are a deep, rich black. Her tail, which is the head of a snake, is covered in dark green scales. Her human features are more or less Caucasian, with the notable exception of sharp, pointed fangs. Despite her thin body structure, Li'Nandra, like all sphinxes, is exceptionally strong. Her limbs are powerful enough to let her leap the length of a city bus, or pin down struggling prey. Her wings can let her carry 200 lbs, along with her own body weight.
It should also noted that Sphinxes name their snake heads as well. Sa'See, Li'Nandra's tail, is her closest companion, and will follow any order she gives. The snake tail of a sphinx is also equipped with a venom that causes paralysis in the limbs.
Personality:
First off, despite depictions by the ancient Greeks, sphinxes are not evil creatures. Their main source of prey are humans, but is the lion a villain for hunting a gazelle? A sphinx will never take more than they need to survive, which is usually a human per one or two months.
Although Sphinxes are not evil, they belong to a family of winged demons which included the Furies, the Keres, the Harpies and the Sirens. Although her heritage is demonic, Li'Nandra's behavior is not one of evil, but one of a predator. She feels no hate towards humans, and will only try attacking one when hunting. Even when a human is captured, Li'Nandra, like most sphinxes, will give their prey a chance to live.
Intelligent creatures, sphinxes share a love of riddles, and Li'Nandra is no different. Once prey is caught, they have the chance to escape, but only by correctly answering THREE riddles. If any answer is wrong... well, you know the rest. Even when not hunting, Li'Nandra still has a habit of riddling. She also has a hobby of collecting historical artifacts.
Li'Nandra can be relatively easy to get along with. She never holds a grudge for a long time, and can commune with guardians and demons alike without much conflict. She tends to be neutral with most matters, only taking a side when those close to her are put at risk. In the UCA, she has been banned from hunting humans, but that doesn't stop her from looking a little... hungry when around humans who haven't already answered three of her riddles.
Her snake tail, Sa'See, on the other hand, has a low intelligence, but will follow any orders given by Li'Nandra. It is not known whether the snake tail even has a gender.
