Halcitrox blinked heavily as the light faded, suddenly finding himself ine one of Ujiak's volcanic regions. Lava flowed all around him and smoke clogged the air. He had seen a place like this...once. It was, in fact, the last thing he had seen before being ripped from his home. The Kree-Zan had destroyed the Hawaiian islands by setting off massive explosions that had ripped the islands apart in similar pyroclastic displays. It had been a sign of the way things were going back home.
He quickly took to the skies, partly to avoid choking on the smoke, but also to get a better view of his surroundings. That damned hydra would show up soon enough. He was sure of it.

A golden beam of light lanced into the lava, and soon faded. Ghidorah erupted out of the lava, carefully scanning his surroundings. He smirked, he absorbed heat, or cold. This place would be well suited for him. He ascended up to Halcitrox and growled. "Prepare to fall by the hands of a true hero" he bellowed.

Icy Fire Ghidorah unleashed a battle cry before flying forwards. This gecko had insulted his kind, and his heroic nature. He was going to pay. Opening his maw, pure burning fire erupted out, and engulfed the smaller dragon. Halcitrox groaned, Ghidorah’s fire was truly formidable, if it weren’t for his thermal armor, the damage that he would have done an untold amount. Still the pain was excruciating. Halcitrox snarled and decided to fight back with his own powers. Spreading his wings, lightning bolts erupted out, and struck the heroic hydra with powerful force. Bellowing in rage, IFG plummeted down into the lava. All was silent.
Halcitrox narrowed his eyes. Had he already vanquished the hyd-. His thoughts were interrupted as a beam of fire and ice shot out of the lava, and struck his armor. His armor could endure thermal attacks, but the rapid changing of temperature took its toll. Cracks formed on the scaly armor, making the dragon snarl in pain. The hydra wouldn’t give him a moment to rest. Biting down on his jaws, the heroic Ghidorah launched a blast of unforgiving cold down Halcitrox’s throat! The dragon let out a gurgle of pain, before Ghidorah through him down towards the lava…

Halcitrox was not some inexperienced whelp however. As he fell, he straightened his body out before flaring his wings and swooping low over the flowing lava. The heat barely bothered him, and it helped take the chill off his throat. That blast had been nasty, but nothing that he couldn't contend with. Halcitrox flapped his wings a few times and began to climb back up toface, the Ghidorah once more. As he climbed, a blast of black flame erupted from his maw, streaking right for IFG. The blue and crimson hydra managed to dodge, but that was part of Halcitrox's plan, as a sphere of Shadow energy slammed into him before rapidly expanding and enveloping the monster.
IFG shrieked in pain as Shadow lightning pelted his form for several agonizing seconds , scorching flesh and puncturing armor scales. When the darkness faded, IFG bellowed again, this time in surprise, as Halcitrox rapidly slashed and bit at all three heads, the Shadow energy coating his talons shredding flesh with ease, fighting past a few retaliatory bites from his adversary. Halcitrox had once more regained the skies, as IFG began to tumble out of the air. Halcitrox decided to aid his descent by firing his Shadowfire at the hydra's back. As IFG continued to plummet, now mere seconds away from impact, Halcitrox readied another Shadow Sphere, lest the demon prove able to survive the impact...

The shadow sphere struck the hydra’s chest, doing minimal damage. He may not be the strongest, but it would take much more to take down Icy Fire Ghidorah. The hydra snarled and said “prepare you demon, to face the burning fury of heaven”. Ghidorah rushed the younger dragon and tackled him down into the ground, shattering it like glass. Halcitrox snarled in pain as dagger like blades of obsidian punctured his scales, and flesh. Ghidorah reared all three heads back, and executed his triple slam with horrifying force. Halcitrox coughed up blood, and groaned as the obsidian blades were pushed deeper into his flesh.
IFG brought his middle head to equal height of Halcitrox, and said “I hope you like spicy food”. Using his control over heat he brought a kaiju baseball sized sphere of lava, and crammed it down Halictrox’s open throat. The dragon screamed a gurgled cry of agony as his throat was burned. Then Ghidorah clamped on his jaws again and prepared to fire off unforgiving cold down his throat once more to even out the temperature.

As IFG leaned in for another blast down the throat, Halcitrox quickly decided to reverse the situation. He unleashed a blast of Shadowflame as IFG opened his own maw, catching the icy breath weapon and forcing it, along with the Shadowflame, down the hydra's central throat, at the same time he wrapped his wings around the hydra and blasted him with Shadow lightning at point blank range. IFG shuddered and jerked, the other two heads screeching in pain as Halcitrox finally relented and tossed the hydra aside.
Halcitrox didn't like being this close to the ground. Although the heat was bearable, the toxins would be an issue. Plus he had to contend with the hydra's preferred method of attack. His throat was rather sore from those last couple of hits. As the Ghidorah rose, coughing up blood from his central head, Halcitrox pounced, clamping his fangs shut on the central neck, while his claws gripped the other two heads. Blood flowed from the wounds as Halcitrox savaged them with shadow enhanced claws and fangs. IFG countered by coating his wings with shards of ice and slamming them into Halcitrox, forcing the black dragon to relent.
Halcitrox rapidly backpedaled before forming a sphere of Shadow energy between his hands and launching it at IFG. The sphere struck home and expanded, engulfing the Ghidorah in darkness and pelting it with lightning. When the sphere finally dissipated, IFG was ont he ground, smoking and bleeding from several wounds. And Halcitrox was nowhere to be seen. The dragon had learned, long ago, to take advantage of his opponent's momentary blindness, as he was now overhead, preparing to rain lightning down upon his foe...

IFG growled as the lightning seared his skin, flying up to battle Halcitrox. Forming Icicles on his wings, he dragged them along the scales of the dragon, leaving a large bloody ragged gash in the dragon lord’s chest. Ghidorah took advantage of the breach in his armor, and launched his burning vengeance (now much stronger thanks to the heat absorbed by the lava) into the wound, cauterizing it. Flying up behind the young dragon, he triple slammed him into the rocky wall, causing obsidian to stab into his flesh. The Ghidorah launched a blast of unforgiving cold, aiming for the open wounds.
(sorry for the wait, forgot about this)

As IFG rained ice down towards the dragon, Halcitrox concentrated, as a barrier of darkness appeared before him, absorbing the attack and leaving the black dragon unscathed.
"How could you possibly call yourself a hero, when you use such darkness and black fire as an ally!"
Halcitrox snorted in derision as he pulled himself off the jagged ground. The hydra knew nothing. Darkness did not mean evil. And sometimes, in war, a little darkness could be your friend. Halcitrox fired a blast of Shadowflame at the crimson and cobalt hydra, which his opponent easily dodged. But this was just a distraction as Halcitrox used the opportunity to go airborne. Smoke from the volcanic eruptions covered much of the upper atmosphere here, making it a good place to hide. IFG trumpeted in frustration as he chased after the reptile. Halcitrox disappeared into the dense cloud of smoke, as he held his breath to avoid choking on the toxins. The Ghidorah presumably didn't need to breathe, they rarely ever did. What coming up here offered him though, was a hiding place.
Lightning flashed around IFG as he searched for Halcitrox. He mistook it for normal lightning, at first, which is what gave Halcitrox the advantage as bolts of Shadow lightning perforated the dual-natured Ghidorah, burning and cooking his flesh as only lightning can. But with his position revealed, Halcitrox had to move fast. A blast of searing fire from the hydra scorched his flank as Halcitrox slammed into his opponent, biting and clawing with Shadow enhanced fangs and talons. The black dragon could see the gathering aura of freezing power as they exited the cloud, and it gave him an idea. He grabbed the offending head and twisted, pointing the beam at the ground as it discharged.
A patch of ice formed where the beam struck, sucking all the heat out of the area, right as Halcitrox tossed his foe to the ground. From this altitude the impact was tremendous, as Icy Fire Ghidorah slammed into the frozen rock, embedding shards of ice and volcanic glass in his hide. Turnabout was only fair play after all, as he prepared to rain more lightning down upon his foe...

Icy fire Ghidorah drew a barrier of lava before him, the molten rock absorbing the darkness. IFG charged Unforgiving cold in one head, and burning vengeance in another, unleashing a devastating beam upon Halcitrox, open wounds, bleeding or cauterized were immediately burned, then frost bitten, making it hurt to even twitch a muscle. Halcitrox snarled and flew down unleashing lightning bolts down upon the hydra. IFG hissed in pain and growled. He flew up and grabbed Halcitrox, and brought him to the solid ground, was he dragged the dragon through the obsidian. Some of the jagged rock found its way down the dragon’s throat, leaving many lacerations down his esophagus and stomach. Then IFG stabbed Halcitrox in the stomach with his icicle blades, drawing crimson. The dragon howled in pain. Ghidorah growled and prepared to hit him with a barrage of fire...

Halcitrox snarled as the flames washed over his back. Although his flesh was seared, it wasn't enough to stop him, as he rolled over and blasted IFG in the face with Shadowfire. The blue and red hydra, who could ignore the effects of lava and such, could not ignore the pain of Halcitrox's breath weapon. How the black dragon was able to hurt him with fire was a mystery, but one he would ponder on later. Right now, he had other things to deal with, like the black dragon which was suddenly in his face.
Halcitrox slashed and bit in a frenzy of claws and fangs, scoring nasty wounds as his Shadow enhanced arsenal tore through scale and flesh alike. At this range, the Ghidorah had trouble bringing his arsenal to bear as a final strike from Halcitrox slammed his opponent to ground, chunks of rock spraying everywhere as the ground reverberated from the impact. Halcitrox pounced on the fallen Ghidorah, slicing the hydra's back to ribbons with talons, which were already soaked in blood.
With the Ghidorah pinned beneath him, he readied another round of Shadowfire, as he prepared to roast the monster's heads...
