$oundwave / Catylus& kingcaesar09 / BarugarudonA G A I N S Travensaursrex / Nyroc& pkknight96 / TrifinnArena: Archipelago Ref: HayesAJones, the greatest ref alive Intro: Floating above the Earth archipelago simulation, carrier class Parakappa ship DF303 opens the hatch to the basement level of the ship. The collar keeping Catylus shackled opens and drops off the bio-creature, hitting the floor of the hull with a metallic clang. Afterwards, Catylus extends her midsection out of the ship, touching the sandy beach below with her front paws. Her back end leans out of the ship and retracts back to normal length; now Catylus is stationary on the lone island. The Parakappa's desert fusion creature stands at the ready, bearing her many fangs and snarling, sharing her sour attitude as she waits for the arrival of the two UCA prisoners set to fight this battle against her, as well as waiting for the Parakappas' second monster that will be joining her in combat against the two domesticated morsels.

A brilliant beam of light shot from the sky, and the dragon shark appeared on the island. It let out a roar of rage, which marked the arrival of Trifinn. The monstrosity moved into the water, its true element. Ambushing his opponents would definitely give him an edge. He awaited for his opponents, and partner, to arrive on the island. He hated the idea of working with another, but would put up with it. Trifinn had seen the power of this place before, so he'd rather not give them a reason to use it on him.
OOC: Unfortunately, yes, I know what a circle jerk is...

The next portal opened in midair, it soon closed itself but it seemed that nothing came out. The wind was silent and the clouds ever so peaceful. Perhaps that portal was a dud or whoever it was meant to transport was lost in between universes, a product of faulty technology.
At least these were the prevailing musings among the fans watching on the view-screens. Until a patch of sky directly overhead Tirfinn began to shimmer, breaking up until the outline of a massive avian creature could be seen. The bird flapped his great wings, causing not a single sound as he fluttered on the ocean breeze, his eyes scanning the sea monster with intelligent malice. Though the sea-beast was to be the great owl's ally, Nyroc was not one to be impressed easily. He simply began to circle out from the other kaiju and await the showing of whatever poor souls were to face The Divider.

Parakappa ship PH606 arrived shortly after and hovered over the island for some time before releasing a new terror. A brutal beast with a large horn on her head and a graboid maw that constantly drooled acid on the ground, which made the sand below steam. The collar around Barugarudon's neck snapped off and was drawn back into the ship. Said neck suddenly pulsated when a couple of leeches passed underneath. Barugaru acknowledged her ally with a quick nod. The new arrival slowly stepped forward, each of her footsteps making the ground tremble as she circled her (and Catylus') enemies from behind, only waiting for the signal to ambush them...

UGH. I start typing up a nice post, and I lose it -.- *starts from scratch. again..*
----------------------------- -----------------------------
Four monsters now reside on the playing field. Catylus burrows her fingers and toes into the sand to get a feel for the environment completely foreign to her. The reptilian kaiju enjoys the heat absorbed by the grain by which she flexes her digits inside. Catylus does not approve of much; she has a sour demeanor which has earned her the title, "bitch," by her Parakappa breeders and in the minds of those who cross her path. Despite her fixated scowl, she is an intelligent, thinking being, and surveys not just the land, but the two foreigners standing against her and her fellow Parakappa inmate-bioweapon, using the power of observation to get a feel on the situation. This is what she has so far:
By Trifinn's rambunctious, instinct-and-animosity behavior, and his teammate's patient posture and decision to do the same thing-get a feel for the surroundings and size up Barugarudon and herself-Catylus surmises that Nyloc is the one with intellect out of the two; the thinker. Trifinn's natural reaction(s) tell her that he is the opposite; he is the pure brawn-like fighter, acting completely on instinct and emotion, more on the primal side. The armadillo lizard mutation grunts at the slight sense of irony over the pairing, as she has a brain to plan and analyze with, and her fellow bioweapon acts more on her brute strength, preferring to conquer and overthrow. Hell, it is like Catylus and her esteemed partner are facing alternate versions of themselves, except the "Team Parakappa" has something that the "Team UCA" do not have.
Familiarity. Trust. Comfort.
This is not Catylus and The Plasma Hunter's first fight together. They've been paired before, but not only that; all Parakappa bioweapons share a sort of link with one another, implanted during each's engineering, to ensure that most, if not all bioweapons, may work conducive with one another to create profitable outcomes. Given their past work together and that mentioned link, Team Parakappa already have an edge over the others.
Catylus taps Barugarudon on the back with a flick of her tail to get her partner's attention, and to demonstrate the supposed link between all bioweapons of Parakappa nature, Catylus broadcasts her interest in being first to attack for her team with just a squinting look of her eyes. The plasma hunting brute bows to the quadruped in compliance to say "Go right ahead, partner." Catylus starts marching towards the adjacent kaiju with eyes kept on Trifidd; but why? Given Trifidd's primal nature, Catylus assumes he'll be the first representative of the UCA's specimens out of the two to attack. Her suspicions confirm as Trifinn swaps to the sky with his draconian wings and dives down towards Parakappa specimen 303. Catylus responds with a specific shift in her body; in the tail.
Specimen 303's tail extends in length a bit while at the same time, the proportional tip expands. While it grows in size, it also grows out additional points; sturdy, huge tips to a dense weapon for bludgeoning. Saliva just oozes out of Trifinn's shark maw, grizzly looking teeth sticking out of healthy pink gums. At just the right time, after having been poised to respond, Catylus throws out her appendage...
THWACK
Catylus strikes the hybrid in the notably, most weakest point of the shark species. The nose. The tail went right up and smashed the weighted tip square into the area, resulting in Trifinn being thrown to his left (Catylus' right). He continues through the air for about 80 meters, then does a consolidation of rolling and skidding the rest of the way through the sand. In her tail's present condition, it is ideal for exactly what she has just done. Sometimes fighting such a furious animal can be that easy, because through acting on its emotion, it becomes somewhat predictable. Catylus eyes Nyroc for some seconds while her tail shrinks down to regular status, thinking in her mind, "I'll deal with you later..." Then, The Bitch shuffles towards the draconian shark, who is too disoriented and stunned to even move efficiently.
Catylus stops about 70 meters short of her quarry. With her form of alteration gifted to her by her hybrid mutation with a snake-a fellow dweller of Earth's deserts-all she has to do is lift off of her front legs and let her torso morph and extend the rest of the distance. During all that time, Trifinn has started to get his bearings back; he has enough to lash out with a claw and drive his claws through Catylus' cheek. The armadillo lizard bioweapon was unprepared for that. Her alien blood forms a saturated mass around the claws, which cause soreness broadening by the seconds. Catylus shrieks while her fury and tenacity builds up. While her temper warms up, so does her body; her entire mid-section's length immolates, in addition to her chest, shoulders, arms, and head. Her upper body ascends into the air as her magnitude extends to accommodate her position.
Catylus makes throwing gestures with her arms. One by one, a long stretch of pyro reaches out from both combusted appendages. Specimen 303 throws her arms back, starting with the right and finished by the left; likewise, the right arm is primarily thrown out; and the left arm, second. Her immolation whips blur the airspace they rip through and crack against Trifinn's backside. The first whip splits the right thigh open, throwing embers everywhere as soon as the weapon of limited range lashes. The tip opens the flesh and strikes so deep, that ash remains coated to the thigh bone from the weapon fueled by passion's encounter with it. The left whip contacts just a second after the first retracts back; the second whip coils around Trifinn's throat; as soon as it has the shark-hybrid restrained, Catylus pulls back with it, tightening the lasso to the point that it singes through bubbling flesh and leaves a most detrimental layer of burnt muscle.
As Catylus' mind cools off a bit, so does her body. Her bodily flames morph into snaking streams of smoke. Trifinn is standing...but with a branding around his throat; crusty blackened residue at first, with red-raw flesh growing outwards. Catylus gets closer, then extends straight forward with her ability to alter her length, choosing to use her upper torso like a battering ram. Her solid-armored head pushes into the open-but-dry thigh wound, squeezing out creamy blood like a juicer with a fruit. The ever-solid head-butt spikes the area with unbiased suffering, the nerves around the cleavage burning like the whip that left the mark in the first place. For her final act of violence, the galactic bitch rises to her hind legs with Trifinn in her hold, where she throws the amalgamation of nature towards her brutish friend, so that Barugarudon may bring her fists hammering down on Trifinn...

As expected, Barugarudon fists spiked Trifinn to the ground. The crossed creature groaned in pain, not expecting to be hit like this right away. He wasn't the brightest kaiju, but Trifinn somehow knew these creatures had worked together before this. But that wouldn't stop him from tearing their throats out.
As Barugarudon prepared to smash Trifinn further into the ground, Trifinn shot a stream of fire from his mouth at the creature. Barugarudon shrieked in pain, its face now blistering from the intense flames. Trifinn then picked up the alien creature, and threw it in Nyroc's direction. It could deal with that one. Barugarudon crashed into the ground, creating a decent-sized crater in the sand near Nyroc.
Trifinn eyed the desert mash-up a little bit away from him. He gritted his teeth, then took to the air. Trifinn continued to fly towards the desert creature, but this time, the creature's tail smacked him in the chest, causing him to fly back a bit, but Trifinn managed to stay airborn. He then chose to land, and closed the distance, preparing to strike the creature with his tail...

OOC: Hayes didn't send the post order, but I assume this is my turn.
Before the finned appendage could hit Catylus, Trifinn was suddenly brutally, single-handedly pulled backwards. He quickly turned to see the culprit and was met by a punch that sent him skidding across the sand, followed by a flurry of four other punches that did not fail in cracking his skull open, sending a few teeth flying and worsening his nose injury, digging his head in the sand after each blow. Blood oozed from between the cracks and the shark's face, said shark almost knocked unconscious under the sheer brutality and strength of Baru. Leaving the stunned shark for a moment, the Plasma Hunter stepped towards the other opponent: Nyroc.
Helped by her organic jets, the bruiser leaped towards the avian. The monster's sheer bulk, which was even worsened by the organic jets, slammed into the bird with the force of a freight train, utterly winding him and pinning him to the ground. [No damage done, ya.] The owl immediately struck back by pecking Baru's face, which sent purple blood exploding out of the synthetic orange flesh. Almost immediately, leeches began to wiggle their way out of the wound and fell down. Angry, the blue bruiser roared at mere inches of the owl's face, sending drool splattering all over his face. As Nyroc attempted to peck her again, Barugaru spat an acidic glob directly into his mouth! He soon began to squirm in pain as the acidic liquor started to melt away the tender flesh and burn whole mouth, throat and even esophagus, steam escaping his beak as it did.
The Plasma Hunter left the owl suffering as she turned to face Trifinn again. The two circled each other before the shark pounced and attempted to punch Baru in the face, only to have his arm stuck elbow-deep into the synthetic beast's mouth. Several pairs of mandibles immediately stabbed into the limb, and the venom and hundreds of teeth took care of the rest as Baru chewed onto the appendage and shook her head from side to side in the meantime, lifting the shark off the ground and tossing him around like a ragdoll each time she did. Blood leaked from the new countless gouges, coating Barugarudon's mouth. Trifinn's arm now looked like it had an unfortunate encounter with a meat grinder!
But that was not the worst of it.
The venom's effects kicked in. His movements became sluggish; he tried to slash Baru with his other arm, but it was so slow that Baru would've had the time to die three times before the arm reached her. The pain he felt in his face and arm became so overwhelming that he actually fell to his knees. He began to feel extremely nauseous and began to sweat, feeling random chills and feeling like his joints were glued to each other, his muscles becoming sore... Of course, Baru was not going to let the opportunity go. She raised her tail and prepared to fire a plasma beam at his back...

((OOC: I am unsure if I should count every use of Nyroc's empath powers as a move or just the ones used to inflict damage. If it needs to be changed just give me call and tell me so.))
As much as Nyroc would rather just hang back, it seemed his 'ally' was getting a bit roughed up and even the owl himself had suffered a bit of burning indignity by the two alien mutants. But they didn't seem to consider him a real threat, at least not the one they needed to focus on. The bird was quick to move away from them, flapping his wings to gain a bit of height, it would take the two females a little effort to get him up here, even the one that seemed to have flight capabilities. All he needed was a little time.
Nyroc extended his mental finger outwards to see what emotions he could read from the pair, but when he read them he encountered a strange thing. The pair seemed to have a section of emotions that were flowing between them, they had some sort of link, possibly on the mental level. Sadly Nyroc had no idea what they were conversing, but he understood the tactical advantage, they could create plans and coordinate far faster and better then either Nyroc or his finny partner. Things weren't looking good for him, or Trifinn at this point, tactically they were outmaneuvered, but perhaps not out-muscled.
The owl sent a direct blast of raw fear down to Trifinn, the shark mutant hit the deck right away, guided by his fear. This was just enough time for Nyroc to give his wings a great flap, sending a compress blast of air straight down, knocking the females off their feet and slamming them hard into the ground, also interrupting a nasty little attack one of them had charged up for use on Trifinn. Trifinn was largely unaffected since he was already huddled close to the ground. The fish like creature was rather angry when he stood back up, rage flushing out his short bout of fear as he stood back up and shot the pair a glare.
With a low hoot the owl went into a dive, wings back as he keyed in on Baru who was slowly recovering from the blast of wind. As she got up onto her talons, her foe screamed down from the sky, claws bared as they raked twin gashes along the alien's back. Nyroc then pumped his wings hard, pulling out of his dive and hovering in place as he turned just in time for Catylus to slam one of his wings with her drill like tail, spilling the bird out onto the ground. Thankfully Nyroc's wings were made of very dense bone so it wasn't broken, though it did ache. Whirling about he flapped his wings and hopped forwards, swinging his wings together and slammed the reptile in the sides. He then kicked up to slice her stomach before kicking off with the other foot, sending her right to Trifinn who lashed his tail and caught the lizard in mid-flight, sending her on a little trip across the sands.
Sending Trifinn a glance the owl landed on the ground and crossed his wings as he set his sights back on Baru who snarled out some sort of threat. With a smug hoot the bird uncrossed his wings, warping the air currents around him to form blades of raw wind power, sending them right at his fellow flier...

Nyroc's attack was interrupted, however. Several missiles struck the owl in mid-assault, engulfing his feathers in flames and sending him lurching to the side.
"UNFAIR COMBAT TACTIC DETECTED BY NYROC! DO NOT DO IT AGAIN!"
(Emotional manipulation is fine, Raven, but having your ally land an attack in your post isn't. You may only attack with your own monster.)

Since raven's attack was skipped over, I'm assuming I should ignore the 4th attack. If I'm wrong, lemme know and I'll fix this Hayes. Also check my 4th attack from my first post cus I tossed Trifinn at Barugarudon for her to smash her fists down, I dunno if that counts as attacking with your ally, but if it is, I'm happy to change it and if need be, I'll accept whatever punishment my action deserves.
------------- -------------
Catylus may not be able to attain flight, but she can still get at the owl in flight. She sneak-attacks Nyroc with a blast of her Microburst Plasma Blast. As the name suggests, the beam with a microburst affect does exactly that- the plasma spreads across the back, reducing healthy feathers to crumbling, ash-covered articles. The titan of the skies shrieks, furious at the insult to his intellect by attacking him from behind. Nyroc performs a fly-by with his augmented wings, managing to cut through a layer of armor on Catylus' back and slicing through the flesh underneath. The injury stings as soon as it is opened, but Catylus' bad attitude keeps her motivated enough to keep up on the offensive despite the pain webbing out a small parameter from the incision in question. Catylus throws out her front, managing to close her hands around Nyroc's ankles and pull him down to the ground. Now while the avian is front-first against the sun baked sand, Catylus' mantis arms unfold and start clawing through the layer of burnt feathers and into the flesh. Each slice draws blood in small increments. Nyroc of course struggles, but Catylus has him restricted pretty well. After she carves up the bird's back, Catylus raises her front section 400 meters above her prey and slams her encrusted upper torso onto the back of the owl, attacking an already vulnerable point. The slam squeezes additional blood out of Nyroc's back, and the clubbing adds a soreness to the sharp type of pain that comes with any cut. Catylus brings herself upon Nyroc again, except this time her lower half walks up while retracting the body's length to resume standard posture. With her body on top of Nyroc, she executes a surge of her extraterrestrial electricity through Nyroc's body...

The attack didn't last long, as Trifinn punted the desert hybrid's head, causing Catylus to roll off of his partner. He knew he'd need his partner at his a-game for this, and electricity certainly won't help them. He nodded at the owl. "EVEN... FOR NOW...", he said, then turned his attention to Barugarudon. With a loud roar, Trifinn began to charge towards the alien.
Trifinn jumped up, and prepared to slam down into the creature with his muscle-packed tail, but the alien managed to dodge the attack. At this time, Baru reached in to bite Trifinn's other arm, but was instead met with a quick flurry of punches to the gut, followed by a tail to the face, sending the creature skiding across the sand. The hybrid dragon smirked. This creature thought it could injure him without punishment? A foolish mistake.
As Trifinn began to approach Baru, Catylus made its move. It used its mantis arms, and began to slice at his back. Trifinn cried out, more in rage than pain, then turned his around, and spat a stream of fire at the hybrid, causing it to shriek in pain, and some pretty nice burns. While Catylus dealt with that, Trifinn began approaching Baru once more.
Trifinn roared once more, then charged towards the still downed alien. Memories of Baru maiming his arm and the toxin it produced raged in Trifinn's mind. It closed in, then jumped on top of the triphibious alien, preparing to sink his teeth into the downed alien's neck...
