A ray of light soon sliced its way across the savanna, bringing itself across across the grassy lands before this place. Soon, a hunch backed shape, clad in hellish, rusted armor, emerged onto the arena, a massive sword clutched in one hand. The monster soon let out a long haunting moan, as it awaited its opponent's arrival. It saught blood...

The tormented little psychopath did not have to wait long. In a second flash of electronic brilliance, Tel Megiddo's opponent appeared. From the light, a white-furred figure stepping calmly forward. The mammalian being, standing tall and straight, surveyed his surroundings with cool blue eyes. The land was flat as his expression. Now titling his gaze towards Megiddo, the pale figure leaned his head back thoughtfully.
Photon had only been here a few hours, and now he was about to start his first battle. They worked fast here at this 'UCA.' Photon, clever as he was, did not quite understand this place yet, not completely. It was advanced and alien, far different from his own origin. Although those that had created him were quite advanced, they were also ancient and superstitious. They were still primitive, nothing like the cold and efficient UCA. But he did realized the basic idea- bloodshed. Sport. Barbarity at its worse. He knew such fighting rings from his past life as a servant. He had fought in such rings. He did not enjoy such combat, but that was because it required a kill to be made at the end of each match. It was die or take the life of another. Here, as far as he knew, there was no such need to end fellow combatants. He was free to fight without fatality. This appealed greatly to Photon. He believed he would enjoy it here. If all was just, at least.
Although not an arrogant or vain beast, Photon held a certain amount of pride. He had been valued by both his human creators and his fellow warriors. To fail would be to fail them. He could not let that happen. He had to triumph and prove their faith in him well placed. And to triumph, he had to prevail against this broken creature- Tel Megiddo. The thing's initial appearance had surprised and alarmed Photon. He mistrusted and disliked it on sight. Such a rash conclusion was swiftly retracted and the warrior scolded by is own conscious- to judge by sight alone, that was foolish. It was action and essence that made a beast, not looks. Photon hoped his foe would forgive his brashness.
Tel could very well be undeserving of scorn. He seemed a damaged, weak creature at first, but Photon could sense more behind him. Pain, yes, instability, yes, but also power. Power could be wielded with any and all intent- good and bad. How did this mechanical being wield his power. There was only one way to discover the truth-
With a smooth shift of stance and the sharp swchitz! of his katar blade extending from his armored gauntlet, Photon drew a curled paw back towards himself.
- combat.

As soon as the call for violence was given, Photon took off like a shot.
Dashing towards his foe with rapid footfall that shook the landscape like a tremor, the warrior of honor closed the distance in an instant and lunged with the broad blade that tipped his arm. The aggressive stab was delivered far faster than the rather sluggish Tel could jostle out of the way, so the blade slid right between the hunchbacked little beast's mask-helmet and shoulder plate. Scarred hide was split and soft flesh cleaved in two as the katara-like weapon cut right down to the bone. Hot blood spurted out and stained Photon's pale coat, but no reaction came from Tel. The cybernetic monster only stared intensely at his attacker, all emotion hidden by his metal face plate. Unnerved by this, but not willing to show it, Photon answered the thing's blank gaze with more force. A paw curled into a tight fist rose into the air, and a flowing starburst of crimson essence wrapped around the closed digits. Like a hammer, the arm came down. The energy-enclosed fist struck Tel's shoulder with enough force to crater the armor there, defensive spikes bent uselessly down, and a red shock wave traveled down the smaller beast. Sparks launched as the shock wave rocked metallic armor, and Tel was force to his knees. This time, the broken creature did show his suffering with a low, hoarse grunt.
Withdrawing his blade and leaping back, Photon folded his paws behind his back and waited. Tel made no movement but to raise his masked head, and the honorable warrior brought two claws back in encouragement. He wanted the smaller monster to attack.
An invisible force like a billion out-of-control trains smashed into Photon's chest.
The white-furred warrior was launched back like a rag doll, a gasp escaping his parted jaws. Although stunned by the unexpected blow, Photon recovered quickly and twirl in the air, claws catching the earth and bring him down right on his feet. The warrior was alarmed. Had his foe done that? Tel Megiddo rose to his feet now, rusted plates clattering and a low moan leaving his hidden maw.
"BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD," groaned the twisted little devil. "YOOOUUURS."
Now disturbed to his bones, Photon decided staying in one place and letting the hunchbacked psychic get a fix on him was not a good idea. Pounding the grassy ground with muscular legs, he sprung into the air. Coming down like some winged angel of war, the ancient knight lashed out with a spiked knee. The blunt points collided with Tel's mask like railroad spikes, tearing ragged holes in the worn metal and sending the smaller beast toppling back first. As the wounded creature collapsed, Photon landed neatly in a kneeling stance. Blood leapt up from Tel's mask. One spike had slipped into his mask and very nearly gouged out his eye, instead goring the flesh above in. The hot fluid now poured into one of his blank eyeballs.
Whirling, Photon let three long trails of crimson power flow from his clawtips. Cracking the red ribbons of energy like a trio of whips, the warrior brought them slicing towards Tel's neck and chest...

Tel was unfazed by pain, unlike many other monsters. Years of torture and misery had made the monster somewhat apathetic to pain. Even with his armor crumpled and his face mask torn, blood dripping into his eyes and staining his rusty armor more, the armored psychopath mustered the power to raise an arm and block the lashes from the whips, the whips tearing into his armor, leaving slices in the dark paladin's rusty armor. The cybernetic horror soon rose to his feet, letting out a low groan, like an old man struggling to get up, before his hellish gaze fell onto his foe.
"BREAK APART..." Tel murmured, using his sword like a cane. This statement baffled and frightened Photon, before he soon realized what this nightmare meant.
Suddenly, immense pain came over Photon, as he felt himself being lifted off of the ground. A powerful force soon washed over him, making him unable to fight for his own body's freedom. Soon, The psychic influence began to twist and photon's limbs in a variety of unnatural angles, and, no matter how hard Photon fought to resist it, he was helpless before this sadistic nightmare. The creature soon twisted all his limbs backward and askew, leaving Photon hopeless in the air for a moment, before Tel used his psychic powers to swiftly yank Photon's limbs apart, forcing him into a generic anatomy pose. Photon yelled as his twisted limbs were forced so suddenly back into their natural positions, horrendous, paralyzing pain washing over him.
Soon, Tel had his fun, an let Photon drop to the floor, shaking in pain from the psychic beat down. As Tel limped closer to Photon, moving slowly but steadily, Photon leapt to his feet, and delivered a vicious clawed punch to Tel's visage, cleaving into his helmet-mask and knocking his head sideways. Tel grunted, and, neck cracking as his head twisted back into place, the horrifying being slugged Photon in the stomach, sharp, rusted edges of his armor biting into the warrior's hide. Photon stumbled back, wheezing from the brutal blow, before Tel moved in to strike his foe.
With surprising speed, Tel let out a long moan, as he brought his blade towards Photon, the massive sword cleaving into Photon's chest. The hero cried in pain as he fell backwards from the blow, falling flat on his back a good distance away. The massive sword cleaved into Photon's chest, leaving a vicious, festering wound on the hero's chest, staining the hero's fur and claws in his own blood. Tel groaned, as he prepared to crush Photon with his telekinesis...

Photon moved fast as a striking viper though, and before the mighty psionic force could cave in his head and skull, he struck! Rolling to his feet and straightening into a organic missile, the honorable warrior pounced! Shwitch! The knight's broad knife bit into the undersize of Tel's arm, just beyond the shoulder. Blood drizzled down like rain, and the psychotic psychic grumbled in dulled anger. The gored armpit was directly below where Photon had sliced before, with his very first move. With one arm carved at the base and the other pressed by crumpled armor, the hunchbacked monster would not move quite as easily as before. This is why- when Tel Megiddo used his free arm to swing his jagged blade- Photon was able to lift his paw and catch the massive weapon on his gauntlet with a small shower of sparks. Heaving, the white-furred figure guided the tall, rusted blade down into the earth. A heavy foot stepped down on the worn sword.
One shoulder skewered and other arm pinned with its blade, Tel was held firmly in place by the larger beast.
Curling his long claws into a fist, Photon lashed out with a solid fist. The broken little monster rocked once, twice, thrice! Each blow cratered his already damaged helmet and wrenched both shoulders, his arms trapped where they were. A fourth blow staggered the armored creature, and a fifth finally felled him. Tel toppled away from Photon with a low moan, flesh ripping lose from smooth dagger and blade tearing loose from his grasp. The thing's armored form pounded down flat earth, sending up a towering plume of dry dust and soil.
Instead of moving forward to make another strike on his fallen foe, Photon relented, paws wrapped behind his back, waiting for the broken thing to rise. A mistake, because it was blade that rose first, not master. The white-furred knight stumbled forward suddenly, a hoarse bark escaping his jaws. Tel's ragged blade had buried itself in his back, thrust by the armored psychopath's telekinetic ability. The beast himself righted now, shambling towards Photon with sadistic intent. He would make no move against the warrior though, because a quick burst of crimson force from the knight's fist knocked him back, his patched-together body plate warping easily under the power of the swift blow. Flesh was parted with hot spurts by the plate as it gave way and tore into serrated edges. Red scattered from the ruptured armor like the geyser of a harpooned whale.
Swinging an arm behind his spine and pulling loose Tel's great sword, Photon whirled around and hurled the rusty weapon like a steampunk spear...

The broken form of tel hissed, rising to his feet, hunks of armor quite literally cleaved out of his flesh, some of the hideous skin underneath becoming exposed to the air. Tel seemed unfazed though, and, as the blade hurtled towards him, the massive sword suddenly slowed to a stop in the air, before, with a flick of his eyes, Tel turned the massive sword around and launched it back at Photon. Eyes widened, Photon quickly dove out of the way, the massive blade burying itself into the soft savanna ground.
Photon had barely recovered by the time Tel's psychic powers had gotten ahold of him once more. The mighty energy wielding warrior struggled against the force, but Tel's mind was too determined and too powerful for Photon to overcome with solely physical prowess. Photon was suddenly lifted up into the air, and slamemd face-first into the ground, multiple times, the broken cyborg's telekinesis. Photon shook his head, attempting to regain his barrings, but he was suddenly tugged forward with nightmarish strength, sending the hero flying through the air, before he was slammed brutally before Tel Megiddo.
Photon glanced up at his foe, whose clawed gauntlets flexed, ready to cut into Photon's hide. Getting the jump on the mechanical psychopath, his gauntleted hand soon becomnig surroudned in crimson energy, before he raked his armroed claw across Tel's chest and face, tearing streaks in the horror's rusty armor and drawing sticky, warm blood from the monster. Tel barely reacted, glassy eyes simply staring blankly at Photon, before the sadist struck forward with one of his gauntleted hands, sharp talon-liek fingers ripping into Photon's flesh, ripping out a sizable chunk of flesh from Photon's chest. The hero stumbled back in pain, grasping his chest, before Tel tossed away the ball of meat and flesh.
As Photon focused on him, Tel shifted his eyes to his sword, laying a good 200 meters away. The sword suddenly levitated up, and pointed towards Photon, before it was launched at Photon like a giant, rusted dart...

The blade carved the air with its jagged edge, whistling softly like a mourning ghost, and lanced towards Photon's chest. The white-furred warrior grunted, icy eyes narrowing. Paws moving like pale lightning, the knight slammed an open palm on either side of the rusted sword, trying to stop its deadly advance. He only succeeded partially. While he was not pierced completely, the ragged weapon did tear into his chest some, messily parting his pelt with hot spurts of crimson. Although he staggered and moaned in pain, Photon would not let it pause him long. Removing the blade from his breast and spinning like a deadly dance of blades, the lightly armored being once again hurled the sword at its owner.
Tel groaned as he raised a spread set of encased claws, and his broken mind reached out to stop the blade just as he had last time. Like a repeat of history, the great sword slowly came to a stop, its slain trajectory leaving it hanging just before the crumpled chest plate of Tel's body armor. The psychic's blank eyes rose to find Photon, and a hoarse cry escaped his scared lips. "CUT AGAIN..."
Photon crashed into the smaller beast's front and delivered a kick directly to the horizontal handle of the blade, sending the sword straight through armor and into uneven flesh.
The broken little nightmare stumbled back, his own weapon protruding straight out from his body. Red arced from the thing's pierced breast like a water fountain. Rearing up on one foot and lashing out with the other, Photon slammed a heel into the blade, again and again, each blow driving the sword deeper into its owner. Tel only spared an unenthusiastic grunt for each strike, perhaps suggesting that they had little effect, but the generous flow of blood spraying from the nightmare's body said otherwise. The fifth and final blow toppled the hunchbacked monster, sending him onto his back with a harsh exhale. The thing's blade now rose sixty meters up, the other one-fourth of its length embedded in the gory mulch that was Tel's chest. Pouncing forward, Photon planted a heavy foot onto his foe's shoulder, pinning him down, and clamped his claws around the bloodied sword. Paws charged with crimson essence, the red blaze was drained down into the blade. Glowing and throwing up sparks, the rusty weapon channeled the power into Tel's abused body and filled his insides. The broken little beast twitched and jerked, steam rising up from his chest and molten streaks falling from his armor as his innards were scorched and pulverized by the trademark essence of Photon.
As tears of red fell from the eyes and mouth of the twisted experiment, Photon tightening his grasp on the blade and prepared to rip it free, further shredding the abused flesh that sheathed it...

Tel Megiddo could do nothing as the blade was violently torn from his chest. Hot blood squirted from the broken creature's chest, as chunks of rusty metal were snagged into his hdie and rended forth into the air, scattering on the ground. Tel's blank gaze stared straight ahead, dull and empty. So this was how it was to be helpless... it brought back memories of his days in captivity.
And that made him angry.
For the first time, Tel showed the signs of anger. An audible groan of frustration escaped the psychopath's hidden maw, as the being rose and locked his gaze on on Photon, enpty gaze becomnig bloodshot with anger. His visible flesh tensed up and veins began to visibly pop from his ugly, callused flesh. Scars resurfaced and bared their ugly faces, crusted and infested with filth fro mage. Suddenly, a fierce pain gripped Photon's head, and he was soon forced in front of Tel's feet, unable to get up. The mighty warriro was forced to bow to the broken creature, but the misery would only begin now.
Suddenly, the pain became paralyzing, as Tel, quite literally, began to CRUSH photon's skull with his telekinesis. The sheer amoutn of pressure would have crushed Photon's head to a pulp had the sick creature not wanted Photon to suffer. The skull of his foe fought well against the pressur,e resistign cracking, but Photon's brain was not so lucky. The power of the force soon caused Photon to pass out, sending the hero into shock from the misery inflicted by Tel. Air cut off from the brain due to trauma, and skull very nearly smashed to a pulp, Photon was in no shape to fight at this moment.
Tel chuckled evilly, taking his sword from his foe's grasp, and soon rested it on his shoulder. Tel limped over to Photon, breathnig deeply from the woudn in his chest, but feeling no such pain past his anger and difficulty breathing. Tel hissed, and gave Photon's downed form a sharp kick, his greaves digging into the warrior's hide, drawign hot blood. But Photon did not stir. Hiss of joy soon warped into a low groan of annoyance, before the twisted monstrosity brought his blade down upon Photon's back. Photon let out a horrific cry of pain as the gargantuan rusted tool slammed into his spine, blade digging into his skin and pinning the warrior to the earth with pain. With a sickening chuckles, Tel yanked the blade out violently, sending blood splurting across the dry earth, before he brought it down point first this time, aiming to gut the hero...

As the jagged blade swung down like a ancient spear of Hephaestus, Photon widen his pale blue eyes. He had to act quickly. Roaring adrenaline converting to pure blazing might that lit up the mammal hybrid's paws like twin bonfires, the white-furred warrior brought his claws together in a thunderous clap. A spiraling galaxy of red bloomed from the armored forelimbs as they smashed together, the wide blast of force swallowing Tel like a predator snatching up diminutive prey. The broken little monster was blown back as if struck by a 150,000 tons battering ram, his chest piece exploding inwards and lifeblood spewing from behind his mask. Flying hundreds of meters back, the hunchbacked beast landed in a crumpled heap, his armor crunching and crinkling frailly. The shredded defense now hugged him like a serrated bear trap, hot crimson rivers flowing from every joint, every rip, every wrinkle in his metal coat. With a hollow groan, the dulled beast tried to rise, but he was only cut deeper and deeper as he shifted. Even in his nerve-dead, torture-hardened state of madness, the small monster felt the jagged edges carve his uneven flesh.
"PAAAAAAAIIIIN?" came the low bellow from the psychopathic psychic.
As if to confirm his foe's query, Photon landed heavily on Tel's breast, his girth sending up a tall spray of blood. The broken beast actually gave a grunt of discomfort this time. Staring up with a sort of quiet anger, Tel Megiddo grasped at his rusted sword- which had been cast besides him with a new layer of degradation and dents- and lashed out with surprising speed for his shambling person. Despite the increased movement from the smaller monster, Photon managed to catch the blade on his gauntlet. The irregular edge bounced off the grooved armor and slid into its intended target- flesh. The knight winced as his forearm was sliced open by the chipped weapon. The warrior's pale pelt was stained black by a generous stream of iron trickles.
Tel drew his blade back to swing again, but a furry foot flashed out and pinned it to the ground. Bringing both arms above his head, Photon summoned a great void of warping, flowing crimson. The red essence twirled and twisted together, and- hanging over his head, almost twice as broad as his powerful chest- looked for all the world like a miniature red sun or dying star. Rearing with a small hop, Photon swung the fiery orbs down like a hammer in one of his most devastating moves...
The Star Strike!
"NOOOO..." came the rolling sigh from Tel.
The red ball of force spread over his ravaged chest like bloody water, and the psychopath was crushed under a weight that dwarfed the Earth's natural gravity. Flesh split with sprays of crimson, armor tore loose and plunged through mulched meat all the way to the soil beneath, and hot life essence bubbled from the little beast's mask as it pressed into his face and parted it a dozen ways with blunt, folded edges. Shuddering and twitched as his body was compressed, Tel groaned and gurgled. This was very unusual for the tormented thing, actually feeling the molestation of his flesh. He did not like it. It reminded him of times long and gladly passed...
Now fully convinced that his foe was beyond saving, Photon held nothing back as he lifted his free foot to bring it slamming down onto the already blood-speckled face plate beneath its shadow. The honorable creature let loose a sharp bark. The time for judgement was gone. Now all that remained was the execution of his sentence!

As the foot came crashing down towards Tel's face, the tortured soul could only wait for impact. Photon's foot crashed into Megiddo's faceplate, caving in the rusty armor plating with relative ease. Photon pulled back, raising his foot up as he prepared to bring his foot back down towards the prone psychopath. Mind whirring back to life, Tel Megiddo reached out with his telekinesis, using his power to grab Photon by the leg. The mighty warrior wrestled with Tel's mind, but it was no use- the monstrosity's telekinesis was too powerful. A painful crack rung in the air, twisting the warrior's leg in an unnatural position.
Photon was helpless before the rage of the little sadist, pain paralyzing the champion of melee combat. Like a freight train, and invisible force slamemd into Photon, sending the warriro flying backwards, his leg twisting painfully back into place from the impact. Coughing up some blood from the pain, Photon rose up to his feet, wiping his mouth clean of gore. Tel stomepd towards the injured warrior, blade clutched tightly in his gauntleted hands. The two locked gazes, each staring into their foe's soul. Photon, staring into Tel's eyepeices, could only see anger an hate. There was no remorse in this creature's soul; just cold-blooded bloodthirst and hatred. Photon flexed his claws and prepared his bladed gauntlet. It woudl soon be time to end this nightmare...
Tel looked into Photon's eyes, the abomination seemingly confused. He saw... honor, and respect... mercy and compassion! Such pointless and empty concepts to Tel... he had been cheated of his own joy and happiness. He could no longer feel the emotions like love or kindness. All that he could fathom was hatred and anger. And this charismatic, honorable warrior angere him more than ever! With a horrific moan, Tel brought his massive blade down towards Photon's head, aimnig to crush Photon's skull with the heavy blade. Actign quickly, the mighty warrior struck out, locking his bladed gauntlet with the rusty blade. Photon struck forward with his other clawed hand, his talons gathering fiery red energy, but Tel was prepared.
As the blow came in, the vicious psychopath warped his off hand into a deadly plasma cannon, before blasting Photon away with a powerful strem of blusih-white plasma. Photon cried out in pain, his form smodlering, before he slammed into the grassy earth. Smoke and ash fluttered into the air off of his form, the warrior groaning in pain from the blast. Choking out a nightmarish laugh, Tel's smoknig plasma cannon soon gathered more energy, before a single adhesive ball of volatile plasma shot out of the barrel towards Photon....

Although he laid bloodied and smouldering, Photon would not allow himself to be smote so easily a second time. Weaving a net of vaporous crimson between spread claws and casting up, the white-furred warrior seized the unstable ball of plasma in a hot nest of burning threads. Rolling to his feet and throwing his arms forward, all in one fluid motion, the honorable beast hurled the projectile back. Tel could only moan in protest as his own weapon stuck to his ravaged front, just below the right side of his neck. Knowing all too well of the explosive power of the plasma ball, the demented experiment raised his arms to protect his face.
Boom!, said the adhesive glob, and Tel gurgled back a response through a mouthful of blood.
The little psychopath stumbled, great thick strands of saliva and blood falling from his mask. The sheer concussive force of the blast had slammed his head hard enough to depress bone if his mask-helmet had not been in place. The broken thing's armor and ugly, scarred skin was peeled back like flimsy tin, metal blackened and tissue cooked. One particularly long, particularly jagged curl of armor had twisted back and pierced the nightmare's throat, unleashing a wave of red down its bare meat and muscle. This gout of blood only increased threefold in strength when Photon stepped forward and delivered a firm straight punch to it, driving it through flesh like a railroad spike. Neck now spewing crimson like Old Faithful, Tel Megiddo grunted in outrage and lashed out with his clawed gauntlets. Metallic talontips raked down Photon's breast, and the monstrous knight bit his lip savagely as tender flesh was sliced open. A flower of liquid fire spreading across his pelt, the beastly warrior knocked aside Tel's grasping claws- leaving the broken thing open and unguarded- and flicked forth his katar-like blade. Fwitch. A great red line was carved in Tel's chest. Fwacht. A second line crossed the first, forming a broad X. Tel staggered back as he lost blood from a huge area, leaving his gnarled hide pale and his eyes misted. The nightmare moaned as the cruel rivers rained down from the thick cross-script of gore, and his lunatic mind receded in its agony.
Ice blue eyes narrowed.
Rearing back with a low, rumbling mrrrow, Photon thrust forward with the ferocity and aim of a seasoned spearsman, his weapon aimed for the dead center of the terrible X... the sad little creature's heart...

Though Tel was wounded, and somewhat shaken by his sudden feelings of pain, he managed to stop Photon's potentially fatal blow, with his single most powerful weapon: his mind. Before the fist came in to finish off the broken little psychopath, Photon's hand was suddenly stopped cold, as the limb was contorted in an unnatural position, elicting a snort of pain from the warrior as he resisted the urge to cry out. Snarling like a savage beast, Tel lashed out with his plasma cannon ounce more, unleashing a torrent of bluish bolts on the champion's exposed chest.
Photon growled in pain, his arm still heavily contorted and his chest now smoking from the plasma volley. As Tel lunged forward with his sword in hand, Photon's armored claw became aglow with red eenrgy, before he lunged forward, fighting through the pain of Tel's telekinetic torture, and parried the blade, before driving his claws into Tel's neck, a spurt of hot blood signalling the hit's effects. Tel grutned, aknowledging the grievous wound, as his telekinetic grip on Photon ceased for a few moments. Photon yanked out his armored claws violently, blood sent splatterign across the savanna grass.
The deformed psychopath hissed low in annoyance, the feeligns of pain dying down slightly. He couldn't believe it... he had been hurt.... he couldn't hurt! Only HE could hurt others! Tel Megiddo let out a nightmarish moan, before the savanna earth was redned upwards in his frustration and anger. Photon's eyes widened as he attemtped to protect himself, but suddenly, the hero was buried alive udner a mountain of dirt and grass, threatening to smother him if he couldn't get free. Tel's teleknesis pushed the pile down with immense force, keeping the tomb planted firmly on his opponent, as the nightmare began to squeeze the mound of dirt with his powers. He was plannnig to turn Photon into a Pancake!
