There was little either fighter could do to escape their currant situation. Dozens of amulets and energy spheres phased into the second cube and began to pummel both Arc and Talizan in all directions, blowing hide and blood all around the edges of the cube. By the time the attack ended, both fighters had taken several wounds. Arc had faired even worse than the dragon, as Talizan's molten blood had splattered all over the alien's left side, causing skin and muscle to burn away on contact. Recovering from Persephone's attack, the guardian retaliated by dropping low to the ground, placing his hands below Arc's armpits. With a mighty push, Talizan sent his opponent flying into the air by abut 100 meters, but not before the dragon blasted him with an explosive solar flare in mid-flight. As flaming chunks of flesh exploded from the impact on Arc's chest, the alien flew back into Persephone, doing no damage to her but knocking both demon and the alien into the ocean.
Right where Talizan wanted them.
The red guardian's spines along his back began to glow as a vapour heat ray emerged. The brilliant, golden beam began to surround his two submerged opponents. Faster and faster the weapon spun, until neither could escape the superheated sphere of heat that had caged them. The true purpose of this attack was beginning to become evident as the sea around them literally boiled from the sheer heat of the weapon. Trapped, with nowhere to run, Persephone screamed out bubbles as the water began to burn her exposed flesh, cooking it into a red and raw texture. Her skin was bubbling from the heat. The agony of it all was unbearable! Beside her, the exact same process was happening to Arc, though he stayed silent.
Ending his attack, Talizan fired off a second solar flare at the submerged and badly burnt duo...

The might of the sun again threw the sea into tantrums, and Arc felt the heat of Talizan's boiling assault. His skull steamed, his skin bubbled as it separated from flesh like a cooked goose's, but the alien gladiator only stared up silently at the dragon above the surface. Besides the alien, Persephone thrashed and shrieked, her armor glowing hot, the demonic metal cooking her body like a frying pan. Sharing none of her panic, Arc cocked his covered head. Was this guardian stupid? This was his plan? Throwing him- a living electric conductor- into the ocean?
Even as his muscular form was broiled alive, the cyborg slowly- ever so slowly- shook his head in disapproval, his warrior's spirit frowning deeply. The stoic brute cocked an arm.
Time to teach this beast a lesson in battle tactic.
Arc swung his bulging limb powerfully, and the metallic sheen of his flail followed it. The ocean grabbed and tugged at its thorny end, trying to hold in within its boiled depths, but the strength of Arc propelled it out of the water and towards Talizan like a whistling comet of steel. The spiked, pine cone-like end smashed into the dragon's nose with a crunch!, caving it in with sickening ease. The hero collapsed backwards with a squawk. Molten red flowed down his collapsed snout. Arc, feeling the impact, snapped his arm. A loop was sent down the length of the flail, yanking the spiny end from the crater of Talizan's muzzle and wrapping it around his neck. With a tug, Arc pulled the dragon down. Talizan screamed and clawed, kicking up sand and wave break, but he could not resist the overwhelming might of his extraterrestrial foe. The Guardian of the Sun was dragged down into the bubbling sea with a great splash. Plunging into the depth, he smashed down onto the spike that curled from one of the silent warrior's braced knees. Crimson clouded the water, and Talizan opened his jaws with a thin stream of bubbles.
Peering down at the impaled dragon, shaded eyes cutting through the foam and blood, Arc titled his head some, as if posing a silent question. Was this wise, the alien seemed to ask. A crackle of violet arced across his brow. Did this seem wise now? Another jagged stream of electricity jumped, some of its intensity diffusing into the sea like a spiderweb. Agitated bubbles frenzied around the purple bolts. More and more of the crackling spears wrapped Arc, and the ocean seemed to draw back from his power.
More like an electric column than a cyborg from the stars as his power built, Arc finally unleashed his full fury.
---
Several miles away, on a small, sandy isle, the laughing form of Ketos paused momentarily as something caught his eye. The dragon turned away briefly from the shrunken form of the massive Yuuka, and his lips curled in disgust. A towering pillar of purple lightning was reaching up from the sea, its furious height piercing the heavens. Bloody orbs became hardened slits.
A single words escaped the blue beast.
"Arrrrccccccccc..."
---
As the last of the electric waves rolled from his bulky form, Arc revolved his cranium on its thick, veiny neck. A few hollow pops! echoed through the steamed air.
All around the cyborg, the volume of the sea had been lessened. An enormous portion of the ocean water had been evaporated by the might of Arc, and he now stood head-and-shoulders above the churning surface. His helmeted skull also loomed over the limp bodies of Persephone and Talizan, the fried giants floating motionlessly on the surface, save for the occasional twitch or violent jerk. Their blackened forms billowed with smoke, their wet flesh somehow smouldering.
Such was the ability of Rust's Shadow.
Reaching out with his bladed limb, the wordless warrior hooked Persephone on his modified arm. Hauling the shivering woman from the sea and over his cracked trophy skull, the alien fighter prepared to bring her down, smashing her through the sea' surface onto his solid knee with enough force to break most in half...

Persephone would come into contact with Arc's knee...
For before the silent warrior could pull off the hit, three spikes of pain erupted in his back. Catching him off-guard, Arc let go of Persephone, who was dropped into the depths. Quickly, the QUeen of the Underworld was back from near unconciousness, and stood up, groaning from her pains. Purple lighting flashed pariodically across her armor, and her flesh was screaming out in pain. She hurt all over... and it wasn't pleseant in the slightest. These two were definitely impressive, she had to give them that. "Let's turn this up a notch" She said, before holding her hand out.
To the silent surprise of Arc, what had been embedded in his back were three ice crystals, each over 15 meters in length and sharpened like daggers. The ice crystals withdrew from the rubbery hide, and began to circle around Arc. Raising a nonexistant eyebrow, the gladiator sent his flail out against Persephone, who tried to dodge it, but the flail nailed her across the face, and sent her topplong onto her back, red bruises where it had hit. But surprisingly, the water that had been sprayed up was beginning to freeze over, and turn into even more icicle daggers, which were also rotating around the recovering Talizan. Though she didn't look like it, Persephone was actually a winter kind of person. She loved the snowy season and the cool it brought from the constant heat of Hell... and she was on good terms witha Youkai that appeared only during Winter, a winter spirit, one may say... And she had seen this youkai in a similar situation, so perhaps it was time for a repeat of the outcome of that instance, a recitation, one might say...
And this was one of the tricks she picked up from that which Winter left behind.
The icy daggers stopped whirling, and then closed in fast. They plunged into both Arc and Talizan's hides, drawing blood from both. 6 were in the hide of the gladiator, and 6 in the side of the solar dragon. while they weren't large in size, they were still doing damage to the fighters... which is what Persephone wanted... and even better, distracting them from the true terror she had prepared for them.
As Arc and Talizan struggled to remove the crystals, a dark form hovered above their heads. It was a giant slate of ice, conjured up from the ocean by Persephone's will. It wasn't water manipulation, but ICE manipulation, something which she did enjoy. "And as this fight draws to a close, we now bring in the last of our tricks. I do hope both of you enjoy this one." Persephone slurred, already getting tired from this fight as she waved her hand down, causing the massive slate of ice to come crashing down upon both Talizan and Arc's heads...

Arc was crushed underneath the massive bulk of frozen water, but Persephone's attack never reached Talizan. The dragon had began radiating with brilliant heat, his scarlet scales glowing gold. The ice melted into water as it neared his body, and the liquid itself began to instantly evaporate. The solar dragon's heat escalated, and soon the sea around him once again began to boil. Golden light of sheer energy blinded Persephone and the crushed alien through its intense glow. Talizan's wings extended from is side, and brilliant, golden flames, brighter than any of his previous fires, exploded into membranes. With a single, mighty flap, the dragon rose to the skies.
This sudden surge of power was a direct result of all the heat he had absorbed during Arc's electrical assault. The intense amount of heat had literally cooked the demon and dragon alive, but it had also been served to power Talizan. Such huge amounts of energy had been absorbed... and it was beginning to show. Talizan was slowly floating to the sky, glowing brighter and brighter. The air around him warped through the intense heat, and Persephone was forced to turn away from the dragon. It was as if the guardian had become a miniature sun. The immense energies began to surge into his fiery membranes. The heat and light died down, before converging into the wings. His membrane were bright enough to light up the murky bottom of the ocean around them. Persephone and Arc glared white, both fighters merely silhouettes of light. All of Talizan's absorbed energies had been directed into his wings, and the dragon could no longer contain them.
A brilliant beam of golden energy exploded from his wings like a cannon blast. It was a nova beam, brighter and more powerful than any he had unleashed before. Arc and Persephone felt the immense heat before it even struck them, which boiled the sea around their waist. But when it reached the two evil entities, the result was catastrophic. The massive beam slammed into the pair, forcing them beneath the waves and instantly searing every inch of their bodies. Persephone screamed as the heat melted through her armor, searing her exposed skin and flesh like a hot iron. Her chest was set ablaze by the golden blast of solar energy... a remarkable feat, given that she was underwater. Beside her, Arc was faring no better. His skin was being incinerated before his very eyes, scorching his vulnerable flesh. He was being roasted alive, the blazing heat searing his body into a blackened mess of what it once was.
The nova beam's assault finally died down, and Talizan settled to the ground, somewhat surprised by his own handiwork. The limited attack had literally torched a crater into the sea, and had evaporated all the water in its path. The ocean beginning to reclaim the dried out crater, but evaporated as it spilled against the still hot stones. A pool of magma was centered in the depths of the crater... rocks melted by Talizan's powerful blast. Amidst the molten material were Arc and Persephone, both hardly recognizable. Arc was completely charred black, much of his thick skin having been burnt off by the blast and replaced with a crust of burnt meat. His chest was slightly caved in... the focus point of the nova beam. That too, was cauterized into black coal.
The demon had fared better than the alien, as her heat resistant armor had provided protection. Now much of it had been reduced to molten metal, its grey substance mixing with the magma. Her skin was red, with several severe burn marks around her now-exposed chest.
Arc was the first to rise, ignoring the damage that had been done to his body. The cyborg stomped up the crater, towards the exhausted dragon. Talizan focused his remaining energy into his legs, leaping at the alien menace and slicing at his crusted flesh with his claws, cleaving three red lines across Arc's chest. The killer responded in kind, delivering a powerful blow with his hooked blade. A large gash appeared on the dragon's shoulder as the blade struck home, a jolt of electricity accompanying it. It wasn't much, but the newly absorbed electrical heat was enough for Talizan to regain more energy. Revitalized, the dragon stabbed his bladed claws into Arc's gut, before managing to push the burnt creature back down the walls of the crater.
Solar energy gathered in his jaws, as the guardian prepared to fire off a solar flare at Arc's chest...

The sun flames burst and washed over Arc like molten water, his rubbery hide peeling and his flesh steaming under the blanket of intense heat. But although his smooth skin burned, the mighty warrior simply planted a heel to stop his unwilling descent, coming to an immediate halt, tail wavering as he balanced himself. Foot rising up from shattered earth, the alien beast took a great step forward, the planet trembling some under his mass. Another step propelled the monster forward, and then another, until the half-living gladiator was marching up the steep crater's surface, straight through the explosions against his chest as more fireballs were launched, stomping towards Talizan with all the momentum of a freight train. The dragon shambled back some, but his eyes were hard and his jaw set. Rearing over the edge of the sun-scorched pit, Arc locked his gaze onto the Ghidorian Guardian and continued on like a colossal steam machine, unstoppable and merciless as metal. The dragon rose to two legs to meet him. Black ash and slate smoke curled from the cyborg's body like an apocalyptic cloak, and even the courageous Talizan was struck by what a fearsome sight was before him.
And then Arc struck him too.
Suddenly advancing with a speed unseen from the giant so far, Rust's Shadow closed the distance between himself and the solar hero and lashed out with the hard edge of his bladed hand. The curved weapon landed upon the dragon's shoulder and collapsed it, the full power of Arc behind its length. The ground beneath the dragon shattered like glass, and Talizan seemed to be engulfed by an instantaneous sinkhole as the earth gave way. Even the rocks and dirt bowed before Arc! The force of a billion bombs transferred into his shoulder upon a single thin point, the flesh of Talizan popped like a flimsy balloon. The Guardian of the Sun howled in pain, the power of Arc rocking his frame like a house in a hurricane, and his molten blood splattered his attacker like paint from a vibrating truck bed. The bodily magma sizzled and hissed upon Arc's hide, but the armored brute gave only a single shiver. Talizan was not so fortunate in his suffering. The dragon was practically bent in half by the blow, his back pressing against itself as he folded like a lawn chair.
Had he been any less flexible, his spine would have been twisted to pieces!
Gurgling red as he beat helplessly against the ground, his face pressed into the back of his hips, Talizan reacted with a loud roar. The hero's wings unfolded and catapulted the dragon up, towards his attacker. The Knight of the Savior merely sidestepped and raised his curved, blood-splattered arm. Talizan's eyes went wide. By his own momentum alone, the space-born defender collided with the blade and was slit open throat to groin! Groaning through a mouthful of blood as a thick band of gore cut dead center of his body spewed a line of grisly geysers, Talizan tumbled through the air helplessly and into the crater of his own design. A quiet, feminine gasp a few second later showed that he had crashed down upon Persephone.
Striding to the edge of the pit, Arc stared down into its bottom, where two form- one blood-covered, one badly burned- laid tangled together and vulnerable. Without a further gesture, the rubbery-skinned beast raised a curled foot high, and then brought it hammering down. The earth beneath the curled-toe appendage broke in a million places and a landslide was birthed into the world. Dozens of huge, jagged rocks tumbled down. The barrage of boulder crashed into the 'floor' of the crater like meteor shower, pelting Arc's rivals with a joint weight of nearly 200,000 tons! Talizan, the more conscious of the two, thought fast and seized his female foe. Rolling, he hoisted her atop him, using her as a living barrier. The scalded demoness took the brunt of the boulders, what was left of her armor caving in and her flesh splattering. The dark queen's ragged voice rose in terrible animal howls. Even the shielded Talizan added his voice to this chorus of the pained, a few stray stone slipping past his struggling body armor and splitting his scales.
As the last of the boulder fell still, his foes all but buried at this point, Arc took one big step forward, over the edge and into the crater. Dropping down into the pit with an earth-shaking boom!, the cyborg from the stars slide down like an impossibly hefty child on a grand playground, clawed foot raising up to impact about where his rivals had been engulfed by the earth. If 200,000 tons did not end them, perhaps another 70,000 at speed would!

(OOC: Sooo lazy. and dem finals!)
The clawed foot smashed down into the earth, electing groans from those buried under the rocks and dirt. If Arc were one to smile, he would have. His foes were battered and beaten, and he? Well, he was still operating nice and well. He had this in the bag...
But as he raised up his foot once more to smash it down again, a brief whining noise caught his attention. He haulted for a moment. A grave mistake on his part, as a bright light engulfed him from beneath the rubble. Arc's rubbery hide splittered and cracked from the raw energy, and he was sent flying out of the crater, and landing on his back. Parts of him felt burnt from the attack, and he could feel pain all over him. As he began to get up a few seconds later, a second burst of light flashed from the crater, accompanied by an identicle sound. This time, the smoking form of Talizan came flying out and landed ontop of him! Arc could see that the solar dragon had been nailed by the same attack that he had been hit by, with slight bits of flesh missing from his hide now, which could only mean...
As he threw Talizan off of him, the sight of the attacker came crawling up the side of the crater. It was Persephone, but no longer was she looking so calm and smug. No, down her bleeding forehead was the look of an enraged madman, She had one arm held around her chest to try and preserve her modesty, and in the other hand was her sword, crackling with energy. Her armor was in ruin, her body ached all over, and she narrowed her eyes at Arc and Talizan. " You two... have signed your death warrants." She hissed, her once calm tone giving way to pure anger. "The people wanted a show, and they got a damn good one. Ruining the clothing of the Queen of the Underworld to get a good peek? I believe it's time for a time out!" She snapped as she charged at Arc. The cyborg found himself on the defensive he blocked swordswing after swordswing from Persephone. She swung fast and hard, but unlike most people in a frenzied rage, she was also swinging with precision and purpose, and faster than Arc could respond, until-
SLICE.
Right across the feet did the blade swing low. Caught off-guard by this, Arc was swept off his feet and landed once more on his back, deep purple blood spilling from the cuts there. A thin smile spread on Persephone's face. Good.. now was the time for the final act. Her own grand finale to end this.
The waters around Persephone began to surge and buldge, then crystalize. To Arc and a recovering Talizan's surprise, a giant serpent made solely out of ice rose up from the depths. Water was running up it's sides and freezing over. Well over 300 meters in height, the icy beast of Persephone's creation looked at Arc, then at Talizan, it's iced dagger-like teeth gleaming in the sunlight. "This is where you two start running." Persephone taunted, before ordering the giant living ice sculpture, "Fetch." The snake reared back, a primordial roar escaping it's maw as it lunged down toward Talizan...

Wide-eyed, Talizan dodged the massive serpent’s fangs, but the miss did not deter the creature of ice. The monster snapped at the dragon again, but Talizan was able to leap to safety once again. The solar hero began to run as fast as he could, the serpent of ice snapping at his heels, Persephone’s laughter ringing in his ears. Fiery wings suddenly extended as the dragon approached Arc. With a mighty flap, the dragon took to the air, his belly just a few meters over Arc’s head. The snake’s jaws had found a new target.
Icy fangs stabbed into Arc’s burnt, weakened flesh like daggers. The serpents massive jaws crunched down, their crystal-like surface stained with blood. As Persephone’s pet began to shake Arc like a mad dog, Talizan whipped around, flames gathering in his maw for his first attack.
A powerful solar flare exploded into the serpent’s head, causing it to erupt in a powerful explosion of sharp shards of ice. Multitudes of these shards embedded themselves into the cyborg’s flesh as he crashed to the ground, transforming him into a pincushion of flesh and ice. Talizan ignored the alien for now, instead charging towards Persephone. The Queen’s energy amulets exploded against Talizan’s shoulder, but it was not enough to stop the dragon. Talizan pounced atop Persephone. The demon screamed as his long, blade-like claws raked down her body, leaving three deep wounds running from her upper chest to her torso.
Retracting his blades, Talizan reached down and grabbed Persephone by the throat, before hurling her with all his strength towards Arc, still covered in sharp spikes of ice…

The hook-blade arm of Arc fell like a hammer and caught Persephone around the middle, folding the mistress of all evil over the harden edge like an especially curvy Gumby figure. Ice and blood exploded off the screaming female figure as she was catapulted towards the ground. Red slush ringed the Queen of Darkness like deep crimson sashes flowing from a dancer as she rolled from the hooked appendage and impacted with the beach, her twisted spine nearly snapping as her head and shoulder made contact with savage force. The sand parted beneath her like a particulate Red Sea, dropping her into a damp, crimson-stained chasm. There, in a literal pit, a hole, the high ruler of Hell wallowed in the melted ice and blood that flowed off her mangled body. A low groan was released from the frenzied bubbles that boiled from around her face-down head, the demoness's pale hair swiftly gaining a crimson hue from where it bloomed messily into the blood surrounding her.
Merciless and unemotional, Arc stepped down into the red trench with his single, hooked toe. The curved foot was slipped beneath Persephone's gored midriff. A long spear of electricity leaped down from the metal spine that curled from Arc's knee as he lifted the spike toed leg- and Persephone along with it- up and kicked towards Talizan. The broken queen was sent flying towards the dragon, a bolt of purple voltage chasing after what scraps remained of her armor. The blood-smeared sorceress collided with the Guardian of the Sun like a living bolo, her limp body wrapping around his neck and chest like a length of sturdy rope. The dragon's sharp eyes saw the incoming shot of electricity, and the hero returned fire just before being struck. As the violet lightningstrike harpooned through the female warrior and the winged reptile, the damsel and the dragon, a firebolt of solar energy launched from Talizan's mouth and burned a quick path into Arc's right shoulder. As the alien cyborg staggered back under the immense force and heat of an orange fireball, the maiden and the Ghidorian monster were fried by a kaiju-sized shock of purple power. From one direction flew sparks and molten slag, charred flesh and skin from the other, and the two sprays of carnage clashed in the middle of the three rivals, smoke spilling from all angles to fill the battlefield like a foggy day's gloom.
As a slate cloud settled over the demolished seascape, the first of the three foes to rear a damaged head was Talizan. The bright-eyed dragon shook his spiked snout, trying to shrug off the pain and disorientation that pounded into his skull like iron nails. A few humanoid limbs flailed around his S-shaped neck, as if weakly greeting him. Persephone was still looped around his collar area. The solar beast snorted and tried to thrash the armored figure off with a few wild bucks, but a movement from the smoke directly ahead of them paused these efforts.
Like a bulldozer attached to rocket boosters, Arc came charging from the dark haze with lightning crackling from his black sockets!
The towering warrior was still pierced by a hundred frozen shards, and now the jagged tips all pointed towards Talizan and Persephone like chilled quills ready to spill blood. The sun dragon screamed in alarm and attempted to move from the silent one's path, but an extra weight slowed him- Persephone. Anchored by the battle-ravaged woman, the heroic creature was caught full in the chest by Arc's bulky form, his arms and head blasted back by the force of the tackle. The dragon shrieked like a trapped animal as his body was speared into by tiny points of bone-numbing cold. The shards of ice embedded in Arc, held firm by his ultra-dense flesh, were rupturing Talizan's hide like a whole Arctic army's worth of blades! The dragon howled miserably as he was drenched in blood and steam, his sun-heated fluids melting the ice into boiling water. But although the dragon squirmed and cried, it was Persephone that truly suffered, splitting the air with her ragged squeals. The demonic woman was sandwiched between the dragon and the cyborg, her body flattened between hard scales and a rubbery hide. Her flesh split, her armor splintered, and- to top it all off- scalding hot water from the mixture of Talizan's blood and ice poured down onto her, into her open wounds. Smashed between a inferno-hearted hero and a wordless wall of muscle, the Queen of Hell experienced a little hell of her own.
Arc slammed a heel into the sandy earth, and Talizan was sent soaring from his form, Persephone finally untangling from him and collapsing at the silent warrior's feet. As the dragon crashed into the earth, a knotted heap of scales and blood and water, the Knight of the Savior slowly lifted his five-digit foot and placed it atop Persephone's head, his shaded eyes glowing eerily and his lower musculature bunching to press down if the need arose...

(My apologies for the delay. I'd almost forgotten I was reffing this.)
As Arc pressed down on Persephone's head, a booming voice echoed across the battlefield.
"Attention combatants! Cease fighting! The Winner is ARC! I repeat, the winner is ARC!"
(The reason being that, the two monsters ganged up on Persy a lot, or seemed to at any rate, from what I read. And between Talizan and Arc, Arc can take a hell of a lot of punishment. If it weren't for that factor, Talizan might have pulled off a win.)
"Return to your quarters immediately!"

With that call made, the Ruler of Hell pushed Arc off of her and staggered up. THis had been a disaster, a fun disaster, but a disaster nonetheless. What had meant to be a simple 1 on 1 with an angel had turned into a 3 way brawl... and she had lost. So much for her showing them all the true power of the Ruler of all Demonkind.... she needed rest, and rest bad. Letting out a groan of pain, Persephone was warped off away from the battlefield to her room to recover... this had been a crushing blow to her ego... and she wasn't happy abou tit one bit.

Having allowed the demon woman to rise from beneath his foot- for Arc was not one to kill after a battle had been won- the cyborg from the stars straightened his great spine and held his head high. He had triumphed, as Rustred had told him to. He had humbled the Queen of Hell, accomplishing his mission, and, as a bonus to the silent warrior, faced another worthy opponent at the same time.
Arc, tilting his head towards Talizan, dipped his ivory helmet in respect. The dragon, although he had shown obvious folly, was a honorable fighter. He had taken the punishment for his mistakes and dished out more in return, as any good warrior does. He was respectable. Arc hoped to face him again, when he was more experienced, more potent. The wordless beast enjoyed seeing such power and potential.
Head still aloft, the metallic-limbed knight was beamed away by a bright flash, his bloodied body bound for both repair and countless more wars.

He had lost the battle. Yet Talizan did not regret this fact. What was done was done. The alien creature was a good fighter... something he respected. The demon... it didn't matter if she were the goddess of warfare for all he cared. Vile beings like her would never earn his respect or admiration. And although they had lost to Arc, he had still managed to put the hurt on the demon. That was the important thing.
A ray of electronic light cloaked the dragon, sending back to the hub. Little did he know that he would soon be meeting another demon... perhaps one even morally worse than Persephone herself.
