Arcvs. Talizanvs. PersephoneRef: Soundwave __________________________________ At long last, the fight was about to start. As the Queen of Hell was about to step into her transporter, she heard the door to her quarters open up. She turned around, and saw the battered, bruised, and bleeding carcass of Mara, the fox's form having reverted to her more human shape. "Master... where are you-" Here, the words were caught off by a harsh coughing fit, splattering blood along the ground. "-going? and why... why are you in that suit?" Here, the Underworld's Ruler walked over to her familiar, and petted her head. Seeing her form so horribly mangled... it was something that she hated to look at, but she did nonetheless. "Your fight took a long time to complete. I have signed up as a fighter here, and am going off to deal with an angel who wants revenge against me." "No, Master, please... Let me fight her inste-" "Your in no condition to fight, Mara. Please heal up... I saw that you lost." "Yes... I failed to meet the evaluation standards... I am not worthy of being your familiar..." The fox wept, her tears mixed with the demonic blood in her veins. "...No. You have not failed. Even though you may have lost. You still proved to me one thing, and that, is your undying loyalty toward me, and that, Mara-darling, is all that matters. Now please heal yourself up..." And with that, the Queen let go of her familiar and entered into the light, leaving behind the still tearful fox... who began to crawl toward the regeneration tank... "Thank you.. Master. " _________________ Out on the archipelago, on a small island situated aways from the rest, the beam of light touched down, and from it emerged the battle-ready Demoness. With her armor on, and her power unhindered, she was ready to fight. An angel... what could go wrong? However, what she didn't know was that Enjekari wouldn't be in this fight...

The second beam arrived, bathing the small island in its light. However, rather than an angle, as Persephone expected, she was greeted by a great explosion of flames, originating from the centre of the teleportation beam. The electronic light soon disappeared into the sky, and from the smoke and fire rose the form of a spined dragon.
Talizan had arrived on the field of combat.

Arc was last to arrived, and he did so in a far less spectacular fashion. Simply stomping forward from the flash of brilliance that bore him to soon-to-be bloodied sands, the alien gladiator turned his stony gaze on Persephone. An invisible purple light seemed to pour from the sockets of his trophy skull. The cyborg made neither sound nor movement, but his message was clear.
I will destroy you, his shaded eyes seemed to say. I will knock you down and tear you apart. I will rip you open. I will leave you broken. I will do all this because Rustred commanded it.
Slowly, the silent warrior raised his bladed arm and leveled its gleaning hook with the Queen of Hell.
There is no escape.

OOC: Um, I'm gonna pretend that's the cue to fight, so...
Confusion was a rare emotion for Persephone. She was a being that loved being in charge, who tried to know everything going on at once, who enjoyed having the knowledge advantage. To her, knowin gher opponent beforehand was key to a battle.
So when she saw Arc and Talizan being beamed down instead of Enjekari, she was understandaly confused. She was supposed to fight an angel, not a boney dragon and a cyborg... What was going on here?
However, her foes weren't going to give her the chance to ponder. At once, Talizan lunged upon her. The Queen on Hell was quick to guard against the lunge by swinging her arm into the dragon as it did so, the curved spike attached to the armor there slicing through the flesh of the Guardian's face, but that didn't stop the spawn of Ghidorah from crashing into her. With her back now pinned on the ground, the Demoness now had a hissing and snapping dragon at her throat, his claws slicing through her armor and into her flesh. Even worse, from what she could see, Arc was comnig up from behind him, his hooked hand glistening in the sunlight as he had it raised.
What a bother... If these two wished to fight her, and themselves, then so be it. She would keep them from doing that.
A powerful kick to Talizan's midsection proved to be enough to send him off of her, the guardian's breath knocked out of his lungs, the drago ntoppling back into Arc, who swatted him aside as an afterthought as he slowly came toward Persephone, who had gotten up onto her feet.
"Alright children, whose up for extermination? The demon queen taunted as several thin, paper amulets formed in her fingers. It was odd, really. For a demon to use a weapon meant for purification and extermination of demons by those whose job it was to exterminate them. Persephone was chuckling as she though of it. She hurled them, 5 aimed for Arc, and 5 aimed for the downed Talizan.
Upon contact, both opponents exploded in a shroud of blackened dust and scales, the cries of pain from Talizan beining music to Persy's ears, the form of Arc stumbling backward out of the dust cloud being visible.
Not going to give them any time to recover, several more energy amulets formed in the demon's grasp, and she hurled them with pinpoint accuracy at both of her foes once more...

The slower Arc was unable to avoid the second batch of energy amulets, which exploded against his chest. Gathering his strength, Talizan pushed forward with all four legs, springing away from the worst of the attack, though he was not fast enough to escape two amulets that impacted with his hips, blowing his ruby scales off and drawing hot blood.
Fire gathering in his jaws, the Guardian fired off a solar flare, which struck the ground in front of Persephone. The resulting explosion forced the demon to turn away from the light and sound, leaving her open to attack. As if on cue, the ruby dragon leaped through the flames, landing next to Persephone. His tail struck downward like that of a scorpion, and the sharp tip plunged into her right shoulder, breaching her armor with the help of the weighted club and into her flesh. Before the Queen of Hell could counter, Talizan’s tail tore itself free. Another lash of the tail and the club collided against her skull, knocking her to the ground. Blood trickled from her head, a result of the spikes on the club.
His fore claws extended, becoming sharp blades. Rearing onto his hind legs for better offence, Talizan stepped towards his fallen foe. His right arm drew back, preparing to stab into Persephone’s chest. As he struck down, the Queen’s eyes snapped open, and her arm flashed out, swatting away the dragon’s talons and causing them to plunge themselves into the dirt. She kicked out, both feet planting themselves into Talizan’s chest, knocking the dragon back a few steps and allowing her to slide a safe distance away. Persephone leapt to her feet, only to see the Guardian leap into the air and curl into a ball, his spines allowing him to becoming a living buzz saw. The spinning Talizan crashed into Persephone’s chest, creating a vertical cut straight down the middle of her armor, though it didn’t break through. It did however knock the wind out of her, and in her stunned state, Talizan once again jumped into the air, preparing to execute the previous maneuver…

Cold steel gripped the dragon though, and he was jerked back with strength massive enough to tear his tough hide wide open. An area from his shoulder blade to his ribs stripped of skin and flesh, the dragon is dumped down into a thrashing heap of spines and scales. Arc, ignoring the blood from the suffering dragon that flecked his side and back, marched past the Guardian of the Sun and confronted Persephone. The explosive gems cast by the grand demoness had barely phased the master of flesh and force. Only a few shallow gashes and thin lines of purple showed they had even struck the cyborg. Lips pressing together and eyes narrowing ever so slightly, Persephone molded the dark aura around her in a great blade and lunged at Arc. The alien gladiator made no move to avoid the Queen of Darkness as she lashed out with the length of merciless demonic iron ablaze with electricity. The crackling charge seeped from the base of the blade to the lethal tip and- all in a matter of seconds- launched a pillar of pure destruction. Splitting the air with the roar of a thunderbolt, the electric blast lanced squarely into Arc's chest like the javelin of a god-
And dispersed harmlessly across his rubbery hide.
If she had not mastered her emotions eternities ago, the Queen of Hell would have cursed aloud. Briefly drained by the exertion, the demoness could make no sufficient move away from a counterattack. She was a sitting duck. With a sand-compressing thump!, Arc stepped forward and- with a roll of his shoulders- delivered a metallic straight punch into the face of evil. The blunt edge of the brute's hooked left arm smashed into the bridge of Persephone's nose like a train wreck, and the head of the sorceress snapped with with enough force to send her flying towards the ground back-first, sword flying from her grasp and busting into shapeless blackness. The blow was so powerful and sudden, the Queen of Darkness did something she had not done in ages- she cried out. Although quickly cut off and successfully swallowed back down, the bark of pain was ragged and horse, a primal shout of suffering. Fiery angering growing within her, Persephone practically bounced as she hit the beach and flung herself at the silent warrior that dared sully her prized aloofness. Her face, a tanned visage now stained with crimson, was subtly twisted in rage.
Razor spikes bit into Arc's thick neck, Persephone's arm crashing against dense flesh with a sharp slap! Deep violet blood trickled down the spiny armor of the giant female, and she wrenched her arm down to tear further into the molted skin of Arc. The Knight of the Savior angled his helmeted head towards his attacker. With a flash of his right arm, the cyborg whipped his flail around the throat of the demoness, its pine cone-like club cracking against her Adam's apple with a sickening crunch. The ruler gasped and stumbled back, spined arm falling away from Arc as her own jugular was pierced with sturdy spikes. Dark blood flowed down the front of her armor as she collapsed to her knees before Rust's Shadow. There was a loud crack of electricity, and the power of the enchantress's absorbed Master Spark raced down the flail in a dancing ball of voltage...

Persephone tried to get away from the electricity, but the volts still conencted, and the demoness began to fry for a few seconds. Once it ended, she glared at Arc with a look of both anger... and confusion. What had gone wrong? Why had her Master Spark shot electricity instead of energy? Then again, she hadn't used it in over a few hundred years... As she rose back to her feet, Arc's hooked hand came down upon her.
CLANG!
Sword and hook clashed against one another, sparks flying from the impact. As Arc kept slammnig his hooked left arm into Persephone's sword, he whipped his flail at her, the flail still churning with electricity. The Demonic Queen dropped low, letting it fly over her head...
While bringing her sword into Arc's leg.
The cyborg took a step back as his leg bled a mixture of blood and oil. With him backing away out of pain, Persephone aimed her blade at the cyborg. Energy ran from her back to her arms, then down into the tip of the blade. With a brief whining sound, the colelcted energy all fired out at once, in a massive, focused beam of pure energy that tore open the ground as it slammed into Arc. Had he been one to be more vocal, the beast would hav ebeen howling in pain as he toppled over onto his back, a chunk of flesh and metal gone from his side. "Now that's more like it." Persephone whistled...
Only for Talizan to slam into her side.
Knocked onto her back, Perspephone was once more pinned by the dragon, who was slashing and hacking at her armor. Her sword dissipated, and replaced with a pair of amulets. The Queen of Hell smirked as she hurled them right into Talizan's face...
It had been a long time since she had been in a fight this fun... but she was definitely enjoying herself now...

At this range, Talizan couldn't have avoided the incoming amulets. The weapons exploded against his face, knocking off scales and bits of flesh. Attempting to ignore the rising pain, Talizan lashed outwards with his jaws, catching Persephone's right arm in his teeth. While the armor was strong enough to resist the teeth without harm to Persephone, a quick wrench of the neck caused the pinned demon's arm to bend a little too far to the right, away from her body. A sharp yelp escaped Persephone as Talizan leaped off her, leaving the evil witch to cradle her injured arm.
The ruby dragon turned to face the silent Arc. He had avoided attacking the cyborg in the beginning of the match, not knowing whether he was a friend or enemy. Yet the cyborg had attacked him despite this, and Talizan now had his answer. He leaped towards the alien, stopping just short of Arc and whipping around, the spines of his tail acting like a saw as they cut through the skin and flesh of Arc's chest. Yet, when Talizan turned around, he found himself disappointed. The wound was shallower than he had hoped. It was obvious that Arc's muscle structure made him rather resistant to sharp object.
Advancing forward, Arc aimed to slice Talizan's chest with his left claw. While powerful, the blow was slow, giving Talizan enough time to extend the claws of his right hand and block the weapon with his talons. Even the guardian, who was reasonably strong himself, buckled a bit as Arc's blade collided with his own. Counter attacking, the dragon's talons of his left hand extended, and he thrust forward with all his strength. The three blade-like claws plunged themselves into Arc's gut, their extreme edge delivering more damage that his spines had achieved. With the claws inside, Talizan wiggled his hand and fingers around, letting the weapons do as mush dam,age as possible, before pulling back out. Arc did not roar in pain or anger. He didn't even groan.
Persephone was on her feet, sword in hand. Coming up behind Talizan, Persephone charged just as Arc swung his flail at Talizan's head in retribution. The ruby dragon rolled out of the weapon's way, tripping the demoness at the same time and sending her falling into Arc, her sword still raised...

With as queenly as a grunt as she could manage, Persephone collided with the solid mass that was Arc's front. The sword came down, but the cyborg was hardly worried. Unless another column of might- which the gladiator had foolishly been off guard for after the mishap with its first use- it would do little to him. The blade, although enchanted to be sharp as a razor, merely bounced off the rubbery breast of Arc. A small trickle of purple ran down from a tiny scratch, and that was the extent of the damage.
The same would not be said of the Queen of Hell in just a moment.
Like an iron trap, Arc wrapped his solid arms around the sorceress and delivered all of his massive strength into her with a bear hug. The effect was immediate as it was dramatic- the demoness was nearly broken in two. Perseophone gasped as her spine was bent sharply into a limp 'L' shape. Her armor bit back, its many wicked spikes spearing through the dense hide and muscle of the alien sidekick and loosing spurts of deep violet, but it also crumpled under the sheer force of the squeeze. Like hard-edged foil, the protective coat of demonic alloy caved in, shredding and tearing at many points. The Queen of Darkness scowled uncomfortably as she was pierced in a dozen plates by her own protection. Arc, eyes shaded and gleaming dully in the shadows, made no sound, no gesture, that he was in pain, even though he was opened just as much as Persephone.
A sudden collision from behind caused Persephone to fall into a broken heap at Arc's feet, the alien's arm swinging open in surprise, and the looped form of Talizan soared overhead. The dragon pulled out his living hoop and spread the thin, skeletal digits of his wings. Solar essence spread between these bony fingers, and the dragon sailed upwards on a warm current. His flight was stopped short though, his thin form jerking back with a bellow as Arc's flail launched up with expert aim and wrapped his tail. Dragged from the sky like a fisherman hauls up a fish, the Guardian of the Sun was slammed down atop the fallen body of Persephone. The demoness groaned as she was crushed under the monster's weight, and Talizan howled as he was skewered on a multitude of spikes. The Ghidorian beast tried to squirm away, but his desperate motions only split his flesh further. The two- cruel sorceress and fierce champion- were firmly linked together.
Without even a whisper, the mute warrior Arc raised a heavy foot- the one that ended in a metallic hook- and stomped down on his two foes. An electric current of the deepest purple hue leapt from the curled toe-tip. Pouring into the two like a jagged stream of water, the violet thunder coursed through Persephone and Talizan. The dragon, even with his thick scales, writhed and twitched in a miniature frenzy. Crackling slather and thick foam fell from scaly lips drawn far back in suffering. Persephone, coated in what amounted to an oversized conductor, was fried with even more potency, her limbs flying straight out and her pale hair spiking up like needles. Sparks rained down from her damaged armor, and great ribbons of lightning rolled over her like weave.
Electrical assault not stopping, Arc brought up his bladed left arm and swung down with the strength and direction of a seasoned lumberjack...

The pain from the electricity... it had been so long since she had felt such electricity... Hundreds of years, infact. Not since that one time... But even with this kind of pain, she was still able to react. As Arc's hooked hand swung down, it was once more blocked by the sword of the demoness. But with her current predicament, it wouldn;t hold for long...
But just long enough for her to get free!
Kicking off as hard as she could, Persephone managed to get Talizan off of her and push him into Arc, causing the rubber cyborg to back off... and to end the flow of electricity to her. Now freed of the sizzling experience, Persephone rose to her feet, ignoring her charred flesh as her sword once more vanished.
It was time for her latest trick... and the audience would most certainly love it.
The very electricity that was surrounding Persephone began to converge from her fingers and take form to her side. The electricity took shape, as if the Rule rof Hell were actually molding it, before it stepped forward, and growled lowly. It was Mara... or rather, a manifestation of her. The fox familiar growled at Talizan and Arc...
Then, it pounced!
The ghidorah-born dragon snarled in pain as electricity lanced through his body, spilling hot blood onto the ground. The fox swun git's claws again, and again, slicing into Talizan 4 times before the dragon managed to get it off and send it back into Persephone, bowling her over. The manifest rolled off its creator, opened it's jaws... and charged once more, this time ready to bowl over Talizan...

The electrical manifestation pounced on Talizan, it's electrical fangs digging into his flesh. The ruby dragon snarled in pain, but none the less extended his wings. Immediately, crimson flames of energy spread between the fingers, forming membranes. The dragon began to wrap his wings about the electrical Mara, absorbing the heat the electricity gave off, and soon killing the weaker minion. Partial amounts of the energy were sent back to Persephone, but the rest had been leached by Talizan.
Flames gathering in his maw, it seemed as though the guardian would blast Persephone with a solar flare... until he leaped up at the last minute, back-flipping to blast Arc, who had been approaching him from behind. The powerful explosion seared the alien's back, roasting skin and flesh alike and blowing scales in every direction, forming a blackened dent into Arc’s back armor. The agile dragon landed behind his opponent, and proceeded to spin about with his tail outstretched. The hard, mace-like tip slammed into the back of Arc’s head. Still spinning, the tail came about again and struck the same spot. Twice more the tail struck, leaving the back Arc’s skull-like helmet cracked… even shattered in places, while blood began to trickle down from the impacted area due to the blunt-force trauma.
Before the alien could turn to face Talizan, the dragon pounced again. Fiery wings extended, his hands latched under Arc’s shoulders. Extra fuel was pumped into the membranes, and before the alien could react, Talizan lifted off at a vertical angle, bringing the cyborg along with him. Higher and higher the two ascended, the flames from Talizan’s wings burning Arc’s skin black as they wrapped about his body, now propelling the two with fiery jets. Having reached the clouds of the lower atmosphere, the dragon suddenly reversed, flipping back down and diving towards the earth at a 90 degree angle. As the two neared the rapidly approaching ground, Talizan let go, soaring back to the safety of the skies while leaving Arc to plummet straight for Persephone like a living meteor…

And indeed Arc was a living meteor, for his very being wavered with jagged electric crackles the moment he left Talizan's grasp. Enveloped in violet lightning like a man in the electric chair, the alien cyborg became engorged with power. It engulfed him in an orb, wild and booming as it split the air with thunder. Influence over the brutal knight was ripped away from the feeble force of gravity, and Arc was in control of his own path to the sandy earth.
But he didn't alter it.
He only increased its velocity.
Like a star fallen with hatred in its burning core, the electric comet impacted into the ground with a crash that broke the sound barrier, purple shock waves scattering in all direction, and Persephone caught beneath it all. The Queen of Darkness was hurled away with a cry, her armor riddled by dancing arcs and her hair aflame. As the pale locks smouldered away, her armor too dripped and drooped, pumping with the power of ten vicious storm heads. Breathing a harsh gasp, the demonic woman struck the sands and rolled, tossing up molten teardrops and sooty strands of hair as she tumbled. She could only shift and moan once she halted, a dark pool forming beneath her, sparks sizzling in the thick blood.
In the twenty meter crater of rippled glass left by the explosive landing, Arc stood tall and straight, his cracked helmet turned skyward.
On Talizan.
The dragon screamed down like a burning archangel, displeasure evident in his eyes that his plan hadn't worked as intended. To make up for injuries lost, the solar protector tucked in his energetic wing membranes and dove, talons extending into sabers. Arc- in a shocking show of speed- lashed out first though. As soon as the ruby dragon came into arm's length, his hooked limb swung out like a metallic baseball bat. The curved appendage struck home with a wet crunch- the center of Talizan's skull. The dragon was torn from his sky by his head, blood spilling over his scalp like a crimson bald cap as he was dragged down and slammed into the fire-scorched sand. The noble one called out, pain pounding his pierced skull as the wound overflowed with life essence. Arc, watching with cold indifference, only raised a foot in response, holding it above the shrieking beast's maw.
Talizan had broken his prized trophy skull.
So Arc would break his.
Rust's Shadow stomped down with all his monstrous strength, and the hero howled with agony as his maw was crushed into the shattered earth. Sand and glass bit into the underjaw of the dragon as his head was forced down, broken and screaming for relief. The titanic blow had split the dragon's mandible, nearly cracking it clean in two. Blood bubbled up from a long furrow of flesh, splattering and speckling the molted hide of Arc with little red dots. Uncaring and unaffected by the suffering of the benevolent being, the gladiator from the stars only ground his spiked foot down, shredding flesh and gnashing bone with the flat bottom of his silvery metal toe. Talizan could only gurgle weakly through his teeth, his existence sluggishly draining away with the generous flood of crimson in his mouth. Without sound or gesture, Arc raised his blood-smeared foot, broad drizzles of gore connecting limbs and cranium, only to drop it down hard again...

OOC: Yeah... I think we need a new ref... wait, didn't IR say SW could finish reffing whatever matches he had left?
The foot never dropped down.
An orb of energy smashed into the back of Arc and exploded against him. Caught off-guard, the silent gladiator was sent hurtling through the air and into the water, a loud splash signaling his descent into the depths off the shore of the island, 300 meters off...
Slowly, Talizan raised his head. Atlast... the pain had ended. the hurt on his head overwhelmingly painful, the dragon from the stars realized that he lay in the middle of a crisscrossing pattern of red and blue lasers, whose origins seemed to be out of thin air. THen he saw Persephone, both a red and blue energy orb in her hands, the demonic queen's bloody armor still dripping as she hurled both orbs right for Talizan.
The space dragon was too greviously injured to make an effective escape, but evade it he tried... but when he touched the lasers, a sharp-electrical sensation shot up through his body. He was paralyzed... and helpless as both spheres exploded against his body. Scales and blood flew in all directions as he too was sent flying off into the ocean, in the area where Arc had landed. That atleast gave Persephone time to think before either of them came back out to deal with her. She looked over her armor and checked her condition quickly. It really wasn't looking too good. Her armor wasn't made for this kind of trauma, but then again, it was weakened and nerfed from what it was used to handling outside the UCA. So her little magic tricks weren't all that good eh? Well then, she had more advanced ones for both skeptics and children aline to enjoy.
Slowly, she walked over to the edge of the island off to where both her adversaries had plunged off. She peered down into the depths, before shrugging. There were no bubbles coming up, no signs of life. "Looks like they both drowned. I guess I wi-"
Tempting fate was something that Persephone hated to have bite her in the rear. But this wasn't for accident... she was deliberately provoking it. And she got what she wanted. A brief flash in the water told her to get out of the way, and that she did, for Talizan's Vapor Heat Ray came rocketing out to consume her. She did her best to duck out of the way, but to her surrpise, the beam turned straight downward and nailed her in the back, scorching her armor there and sending her toppling down beneath the waves as well.
Underwater, Persephone reached behind and felt her back. The beam had melted straight through, and her back was singed badly. No matter. She had a little secret to show to both fighters. Her eyes drifted over to Talizan and Arc, both locked together in combat, the cyborg's hook caught against Talizan's long claws, and the dragon's mouth around Arc's throat. Perfect... Muttering dark words beneath the sea, twin, cubed barriers formed around each other, the smaller one containing Persephone, and the larger one also including the struggling titans, both too preoccupied with each other to notice. Amulets and energy spheres forming around herself, the Queen of the Underworld began to hurl them all around herself, the projectiles phazing into the first barrier and filling up the second one, many of them heading right for both Arc and Talizan... This was an attack she learned from a Shrine Maiden that she had visited a few hundred years back, an done she had incorporated into her arsenal very wel...
