Flitting out of a portal, the giant raven was ushered in by a wave of dark foreboding clouds which hung in the air behind him. Diving down the bird landed on the beach, eyeing the water not far away. Corvous was well aware how easily it attacked his negative static, he would have to be careful or risk being left at the mercy of a foe far larger and stronger then he was.
Already the tricky avian was thinking up a plan, as he thought quickly he scratched the side of his beak, using it to sharpen the claws that sprouted from his wings. If even half of what he heard about the dragon was true, Corvous knew that keeping himself calm would be a massive step towards victory. If at any time he panicked or didn't think quickly enough, he would lose one of his few advantages in the coming fight. With a short hiss the bird puffed up his feathers and sent a quick jolt down his body, getting ready for the monstrous task ahead.

What one plans and what one happens are horses of two different colors.
Down came a crack of light and then there he was... massive... ominous; towering over most out monsters in the UCA like little, tiny Corvosaurus. His eyes glowed a irritable red... Why? He didn't exactly want to be here. In fact, he was prodded into the teleporter like a cow ready for slaughter.
Shame for Corvo that no one else was around. He was the sole thing for miles that mattered. He was about to get the entire landslide of one angry bull.

Panic seemed like a good idea at the moment. Leaping back the avian just managed to avoid a massive stream of fire that hit the sand, where Corvous stood only moments ago. The raw heat from the flames melted some of the sand into glass, which Thanatos shattered with a stomp of his heavy wing-talon. The giant lashed out with his tail, aiming short of his foe just to watch the bird spread his wings and retreat to the sky.
Clearly not impressed, Thanatos opened his own wings to chase after his smaller foe, quite intent on ending the match quickly and getting back to trashing the UCA. However when he followed the smaller flier into the sky the dragon was soon enveloped in clouds. Unable to see where his target was or what was going on, Thanatos roared in rage as he tried to beat the clouds away with his mighty wings. Then under the cover of darkness there was a sharp lancing pain down the dragon's neck. Howling the beast could feel blood leaking across his scales and was a bit shocked that the smaller monster could cause this sort of damage. However it was just a flesh wound to the now angered giant and with a deep breath he began to burn the clouds with cleansing flames, causing them to evaporate at an alarming rate.
Crying out Corvous was forced to abandon his clouds for the time being, his feathers a bit scorched as he managed to avoid the bulk of the fiery blast. Turning quickly on the dragon, Corvous charged his talons with the destructive energies that were his birthright. Then he flew in quickly behind Thanatos, dragging his wing talons down his foe's left wing, using the raw power of Nega Lightning to cut deep into the monster's flesh. While the hit alone wouldn't be enough to bring down the beast, it was Corvous' plan to focus on Thanatos' wings and at least slow the beast down further so he might have a real advantage in the sky.
Wheeling around Thanatos locked onto his swift foe and lunged after, however he didn't expect Corvous to suddenly close his wings and drop from the sky. As he fell the bird shot a sharp blast of electricity, ripping right across the behemoth's left wing, further weakening the wing bit by bit as deep crimson began to blossom on Thanatos' hide. Opening his wings once more Corvous flit up under the giant and charged all four taloned limbs as he readied his next assault on the dragon.

Corvo had successfully managed to draw first blood and plenty of it compared to what the situation had offered. But that meant he also royally pissed off a dragon of royal status.
When Corvo came up to dish out a series of blows, Thanatos simply stopped flying. He let his weight pull him back, down and away and left the black bird fumbling for a target. In that moment, Thanatos rolled in the air and opened his wings again to fly again, this time hot on the Raven's tail. Perfect choice of words as flames flew forward in clouds, scorching the feathers on the birds rear.
But then here is where Corvosaur's smaller stature came into play. He was fast and agile as all hell. Not that Thanatos wasn't, but his obvious size meant he wasn't turning on a dime like his female or Corvo here. Lord Hurican more then made up in persistence, though. His swings and blasts of fire made it virtually impossible for the avian to get close now. This slowly turned into a aerial battle of long-range weaponry.
Corvo made great use of the clouds he kept whirling up, using them as shields and cover as Thanatos relentlessly spit fire into them. In turn, black lightning spat out from the clouds and at Thanatos. He held his own, avoiding direct shots at the very least, but curse his size! He continued to be nicked and glanced by the energies.
Then Hurican got a great shot in. He spat a ball of flame at just the right spot and Corvosaurus was T-Boned by it, causing a massive explosion and engulfing the poor thing. From the smoking ball of destruction, Corvo began falling, shot out of the sky like a duck in hunting season. A smug look of satisfaction creased the dragons face. Leaning down, the king dive-bombed after the falling bird.
Dizzy and feathers fairly scorched from the heat, Corvo flailed to get a good gale of wind. Using his static energies, he managed to catch himself and glide along the surface of the water just meters below him and over toward some islands in the distance as fast as his ebony wings could carry him. And all the way, Thanatos fired down an absolute hailstorm of fire. Each blast hit the surface of the water and sent a mushroom cloud of fire and steam skyrocketing up. It took all of the birds ability not to be flung from his flight path and sent into the water.
Getting to the island, Corvo found cover in it. It was a semi-mountains little speck of land that spiked up like a volcanic mound that had long gone extinct. Plenty of dirt, rock and forest to hide behind. Corvo landed and ducked behind the stones just as a ball of flame struck and shook the rocks like blast of TNT.
Now it was a game of cat and mouse. Thanatos circled, trying to get a beat on the bird. But Corvo, small and wily like a hummingbird on two-pounds of sugar, kept hopping and bouncing around the forest and structure.
"Grrr, ENOUGH OF THIS! shrieked the king as he worked up a sizable amount of fire and heat in the back of his throat. Corvo did a 180 and hide behind the thickest part of the rocks, and it was a good thing he did. When that blast of flame came, the rocks gave way and shattered like glass. The flames bore and ate through and all the way through the other side.
Corvo didn't get blasted directly, but the molten rock sprayed everywhere and rained against him. He held a wing up, avoiding any face burns... but his wing singed and caught flame, making him pat it out in the sand.
When the fire stopped, a massive hole remained against the mountain, the edges of it red and runny like magma. Slowly Corvo peered his head around the hole, staring at Thanatos, then at the destruction... then at Thanatos. He audibly gulped.
Again the dragon king began to work up the fire again. If he could not chase the bird around, he would fire, and fire, and fire until the island was leveled into molten slag!

There was no time to flee from the blast, suddenly the rock was surrounded by fire on all sides, being pelted by molten flecks of rock, Corvous knew it was only a matter of time before he was hit by the full blast. Ever shrinking, his wall was rapidly giving way to Thanatos' might. Crouching down all he could do was wait, though sadly for the raven the rock gave out long before the dragon's breath. He was caught by the backlash of the flames as his rock gave way and was blasted out into a second mountain, slamming the smoldering bird up against more rock.
With a pained caw Corvous knocked the rock away from his frame just in time to notice that a massive shadow was descending on him. He quickly pulled his legs under his body and braced his arms against the rock. But before he could launch himself the massive talons of Thanatos' wing came down and smashed his smaller foe to the mountain once more. With a blood thirsty growl the king of reptiles looked to be quite intent on turning Corvous into a black smudge.
Bretahing harshly, the avian swore he could feel his ribs bending under the titanic weight being pushed down on them. Before he lost his mind completely to the flickering darkness that threatened to overtake him, Corvous summoned up his lightning and used it to empower himself. His body growing the avian managed to not only break Thanatos' hold but send a massive wave of Nega Lightning right into the dragon's face, causing mini explosions to erupt around the reptile's muzzle. Pulling back Thanatos roared in rage as he felt his own blood leaking down his chest. However the titan was lucky, just a hair to the right and he could have had his eyes exploded from their sockets.
This distraction let the bird drop from the mountain to the sand and take in a few desperate breaths. His ribs still hurt something fierce, a massive problem for a flying creature. Getting up to his talons he could sense the eyes of Thanatos ripping into his feathered hide. With a leap he just barely escaped a swinging claw gunning for his head. Darting under the 'Sky King' Corvous charged his claws with his lightning and then jumped onto Thanatos' chest. Digging into the thick scales proved to be a problem, but with a great stab Corvous began to make some headway.
Climbing up the monster's chest he went right to Thanatos' neck and them leaped upwards, charging his entire body to increase his strength to it's limit. Then he delivered a clawed uppercut to Thanatos, making another streak of red on the giant while the force knocked the tyrant's head back, nearly flipping Thanatos' bulk before the dragon fell to his side.
Dazed the king could not believe what had just happened to him. Slowly Thanatos shook his head, taking a few moment for his eyes to adjust the reptile noticed that for some reason it seemed quite dark out. At first he thought something was wrong with his eyes, but pushing himself up the dragon soon noticed a massive cloud bank stretching out overhead, slowly covering the battlefield.
Hissing in anger the great dragon opened his wings and belled out "COWARD! FACE ME!" his answer was almost instantaneous. The clouds pulsed with energy from their hidden master as a pair of glowing purple orbs cut through the darkness. Corvous used the clouds to charge his lightning into a massive beam which he shot down from the heavens, towards the roaring king below.

Being on the ground and taken off guard, the beam came down with a fury of which only a mighty storm could match! Thanatos was lit up in a show of explosions on and around him, effectively drawing even more blood and sending smoke billowing up into the air.
For such a little guy, it was a great feat indeed.
But it would take more then that to win this battle. In success of making plenty of marks across the King's back, Corvosaurus had just riled even more anger out of an already enraged dragon! Throwing his head up, Thanatos shouted at the top of his lungs. YOU PATHETIC LITTLE STARLING, I ROAST YOU FOR DINNER!
Corvo squawked in intimidation and floundered backward deep into the clouds just as Thanatos spat a blast of fire up, barley avoiding that. It was followed by many more, which Thanatos didn't take time to exactly aim. He was firing at random into the black veil hoping to strike the pest down.
Kicking off, the dragon flapped up and hovered in the darkness, staring around with angry eyes. Every beat of the wings pushed clouds around and away.. but there was too much of it now. Corvosaurus was using the water vapor from the ocean surface to creating plenty of cover for him to hide in. If the dragon could not see, then he was already at a great disadvantage. But that meant Thanatos was getting frustrated. With a loud bellow, he began spitting fire all over the place. It seemed like random, blind lashing... but the heat was causing a reaction. Clouds were just water. Floating water, at that. If it heat up, it would rise.
Such as it was now. Some of it rose and some of it fell. Overall, the clouds were moving around and away, spreading the cover out. Corvo of course could make more, but he had to get moving around to do so. There! In the empty space of moving from one cloud to the next, Thanatos spotted him! The dragon roared and shot forward, giving chase! The Black Raven had to kick up his speed as he zig-zagged around the cover of his black storm-clouds, but Thantaos kept up. Even as he was blinded by the clouds, he had a general idea where Corvosaurus was heading to begin with and relentlessly followed the avian around the ever growing storm.
Ultimately Corvosaurus's flapping pulled more clouds together and he lost the dragon. Again Thanatos began spitting hellfire all over the place to dissipate the air. Corvo took this change and dove from above and slammed into the dragons head from behind. His claws dug in the dragons back neck and horns and immediately the bird began to pound his beak forward and pecking at the dragons head! Nega-Lightning channeled through, each peck causing a small explosion and blowing away horn and scales. The attack caught Thanatos off guard, but even as he struggled about he could not throw the little bird off. He flailed and threw himself around, Corvo hung on like a piece of chewing gum.
In his struggle, Thanatos was slowly descending as he wasn't exactly keeping himself focused on the flying. They were not very far from the water either. Corvo, being such a keen little fellow, saw the impending splash and was quick to kick off as they neared the bottom
Alas, Thanatos had his chance when his foe jumped ship. Swinging out with an open wing, he batted Corvo from the air like a tennis ball and sent the bird hurtling down into the shallow water below. Both monsters hit, Thanatos splashing with the force of a mountain of course. Corvo landed in just hip-high water. Because of this, his body reacted. Every ounce of energy he had built up in the fight suddenly flowed forward in one massive surge! The water exploded around him and sent water flying up all over the place!
Corvo was fine of course. The explosion didn't exactly hurt him. On the other hand, he was drenched and now without a single ounce of power. He got up, shaking off the water and attempted to get out. But unlike Corvo, Thanatos could swim rather well. Just like flying but with water. He rushed toward the nearby shallow with a fury! Corvosaurus saw it coming and attempted to get his ass moving, but being waterlogged was a problem. Just as he managed to hobble onto the land, Thanatos reached out and swatted out with his claw. Come here you little insect!! he shouted. But Corvo didn't make it easy. He kept hoping forward and trying to fly, all the while trying to avoid Thanatos lashing out and trying to get him. Corvo even taunted. "Fuck, no, Pur-ick!! in his broken english.
But Karma be Karma. Thanatos managed to slammed fist down hard on Corvosaurus's back and pin. "Keep your beak shut!! Pulling the bird up high, he brought him right back down and hard into the sandy embankment. He pulled back and did it again. Now he swung the bird to the side and put all his weight down. Fire spilled over his teeth as he prepared to scorch Corvosaurus into a charged meal...

Curling himself up as well as he could, Corvous was unable to do anything other try to weather the hell that surged down and engulfed his body. The bird felt the feathers across his head, neck and back burn away as the skin underneath was blackened, twisted by the intense heat. When the torrent was over, the avian kaiju had to concentrate not to just pass out from the shear pain. Corvous' vision swam as he opened his eyes once more, dimly he noticed that he was being raised from the sand.
"WHY WON"T YOU DIE?!"
The booming voice of Thanatos managed to drag the raven back to the real world, just in time to see a cavern of teeth come for him. It seemed that the dragon was simply going to nip his foe's head off and be done with it. However, Corvous reacted first, leaning out he opened his beak and bit down on the reptile's tongue as those jaws had almost reached his chest. Biting down he managed to pull himself forwards, out of the dragon's grasp. Time was not on his side however as those jaws began to close. Brasing his taloned feet against the lower jaw of the tyrant, Corvous pulled himself back, ripping out a nice sized chunk of tongue with him as he shot from the mouth of his foe, barely missing the giant teeth that shut behind him.
Howling and hissing in rage, Thanatos' mouth and teeth were stained blood red from his mangled tongue. Nearly blind with rage he charged at his foe, small waterfalls of crimson ooze from his clenched muzzle as he tried to crush the smaller kaiju. Corvous was weakened and exhausted, his energy would return to him in a few moments, then he would pay the dragon back for the bath he suffered. But for now the huffing and puffing bird could only run, zigging and zagging as he avoided the mountain of muscled death behind him.
Spying a rock in his path, Corvous jumped up against it, using it to rebound himself into the air where a few flaps had him soar over the dragon and land on the beast's back. Then the raven got to work, leaping down he stuck all four taloned limbs into Thanatos' right wing, letting his momentum and weight drag him down, shredding the monster's wing just before Thanatos thrashed his tail and knocked Corvous back onto the beach.
Here he managed to keep to his feet and made his stand, his remaining feathers sparked dimly as he summoned up his still weakened power. Then he shot a thin stream of Nega Lightning at his foe, aiming for the dragon's already damaged wings as the tyrant turned to face Corvous...

The beam of alien energy strode freely across the dragons wing, igniting a series of explosions and tearing up flesh and scale. But this did not stop Thanatos. He didn't even flinch. All he did was snarl as he faced Corvo and lunged like an angry snake.
Corvo quickly hopped up and missed being crushed in a flurry of teeth. He came back down, perched perfectly on the massive curled horns. But Thanatos was not fool and he was quick to fling his head side to side, attempting to throw off the raven. It worked fair enough. Corvosaurus could find little leverage despite digging his talons.
Since he took a full blast of fire and what not already, Corvosaurus was relatively dry. So instead of just falling off and probably having his wings ripped from body, he opened his wings and began to ascend into the sky. But as he did, so did Thanatos. The dragon reared his head back and spat flames downward into the ground, forging a updraft of hot air which his wings caught and helped him to rise. Time was of the essence, however. It was all the extra seconds that Corvosaurus needed to fly up into the clouds and begin gathering power.
Massive wings beating heavily like thunder, Thanatos shot straight into the gathering storm above. The moment he was in the clouds, he began to let fire fly and beat his wings to scatter the cover.
Corvo had a plan, though. His wings commanded the sky now. He shot out from nowhere, clouds forming around in his wake and past Thanatos. He banked hard, coming around again. Thanatos lashed out every time the black blur passed, but Corvosaurus was using his size to its most. He passed, again and again, literally flying circles around Thanatos.
It frustrated the Adamant King greatly, causing him to roar and spit out curses in several languages. However aggravating him was not the point. Each pass swirled clouds around Thanatos until he was intertwined with a ball of black stormclouds. Likewise, all this movement dried over ounce of water on Corvo's body. Static was charging and he was gaining power FAST. Now was the time to move! Commanding his Nega-Lightning to bounce through the clouds, so it did and it struck Thanatos across the back! But it was hardly the end. Corvo continued his wicked little dance and was firing shot after shot from every angle he could. Hurican was surrounded by a furious storm of odd energy, each blow hitting him and causing explosive results.
Thanatos lost his temper very quickly. Pulling back his head, he spat out fire in a fit of rage. His wings caught hold and hugged tight to his flesh and soon it covered him. He glowed a fiery orange and shone bright inside the clouds. Drawing a deep breath, his roar burst like an explosion. The air around him flashed in a burst of fire, engulfing him and the clouds that surrounded him spread far and wide as the heat pushed back. The burst sent Corvo reeling back too. He was hit by intense hit, scorching the right side of his face with a bad, second-degree burn. Other then that, he was fine though.
But he was now exposed. Quickly he turned to start chasing after his clouds and pulling them back together.
Thanatos eyed him. He despite huffing from the lack of air he just burned up, he gargled up some more fire to shoot that damn bird down.

The explosive force of the attack caught the flighty bird before he could pull himself from it's range. The flames crashed into his back, burning Corvous' tough feathers and sending a foul stench into the air as the smaller kaiju as carried bodily into the sky. Badly burned he managed to open his wings and flap painfully, though his energy had mostly returned to him after being dunked in the water, the raven was still fighting an uphill battle, one that grew more impossible by the second as raw pain ripped down his body.
However, with every flap he once more began to flood the sky in clouds, soon the dark wall stretched out as far as the eye could see, even the enhanced optics of a kaiju could find no end to the clouds. He used this wall to soar on the wind, taking a moment to rest his battered body as the frustrated roar of Thanatos boomed below. It didn't take long before Corvous heard the powerful flaps of the great tyrant's wings. Though shredded and abused, the limbs were made of tough webbing that was holding up considerably well to all of this strain.
Glancing back Corvous' eyes could pierce the veil of his own clouds, this adaption alone was what kept him alive, otherwise he would be just as blind as the dragon trying to turn him into charcoal. Thanatos tried to burn the clouds, being met with limited success as the more he managed to dissipate the more took their place. The monster became lost in the thick blackness, at one point unable to even tell which way was up or down. Then from no where he felt a massive hit to his left wing, followed by the sickening sound of the stretched skin of the dragon's wings being torn. Turning his head the monster shot a blast of heat at his own limb, but he didn't hear a pained screech that might signal a hit.
Corvous was on the move, ignoring his charred body he flit around his larger foe, drawing massive amounts of energy from his clouds around him before shooting another blast of Nega Lightning into Thanatos' already ravaged wing. The hit tore into the comparatively soft flesh of the dragon's webbing, followed by small localized explosions. The dragon lashed out his tail and on a fluke he felt it hit something, the angle of the hit sent Corvous rocketing towards the ground. The avian managed to pull up before smashing into the sand, instead coming to an awakward landing. As he glanced up he saw the great form of Thanatos pulling free of the clouds, the beast's eyes shone with a demonic light as the dragon bore down on it's annoying prey. Standing below the dragon, Corvous called out to his clouds again and they sent him their power.
From behind the dragon was struck by the dark bolts, in trying to reach their master they crashed into Thanatos instead, lighting up the beast's back and wings in a flashy display that forced the giant to crash to the ground, howling in the rage the entire time. Corvous managed to run out from under the tyrant's shadow before he fell. Taking advantage of the stunned giant, the raven dash up close and personal before leaping onto the dragon's back, here he charged his talons with his signature power and raised them, ready to rip into the shield like scales of Thanatos and cause some real damage.

Corvous brought his claws down like the deadly fangs of a viper, striking hard into the scales with a sickening, explosive crack. Thanatos reared back, starting to thrash about as the bird clung tight with his feet and continued to strike the same spot over and over, tearing away scales. Blood started flowing.
Enough of this, though. Since Corvous made himself a monkey on his back, Thanatos decided to let him have it. Thanatos reared back, falling backward. Corvous squawked in a panic as he realized just one moment too late what was happening. He was squashed between the sand and a wall of dragon. Only his head was free of being squashed and just barely. Luckily Thanatos was not a particularly heavy kaiju. He had a relatively light frame as a flier. If he was heavy as he really looked, Corvo would have probably had broken bones.
Thanatos rolled over and sat up, quickly snatching Corvosaurus's head in his claw. "Not this time... He would not let the bird get away so easily. As the dragon pulled the bird up by his head, Corvo clawed and scratched at the limb in desperate urge to be free.
Pulling with his grand amount of muscle, Thanatos flung the bird around and slammed him hard against the sand. He followed by using his other claw, slamming it down upon the birds back. Now Corvo was thoroughly pinned. Thanatos sucked in his breath and let it all out, sending nothing less then a world of fire all over Corvosaurus's body. Corvos began screeching and struggling as best as he could, but Thanatos had size and amazing strength. No amount of flailing would save him as his feathers were being blowing away into ash. The sand around him was melting into a orange glaze of liquid glass, which also was unavoidably melding with skin and feathers.
Poor Corvo... The unbearable pain of fire destroying his cells and sending his nerves into a horrible frenzy. The pain was so great that his consciousness faded in and out.
It was over, though... The flames stopped, and a majority of the birds feathers were simply burned to the skin... with the skin blistered and horribly damaged. He looked like a... Bald Backed Eagle... (bad joke, I know).
Smugly, Thanatos lifted the small bird. This is the best this place has to offer in challenge to me? Ketos was a more worthy beast as a whole then this runty excuse for a Garuda.

((Sorry about the wait.))
Struggling to his talons the avian shot a pained gaze up at his foe, breathing hard Corvous could feel his body trying to quit on him, just lay down and wait for the match to be over. After all he knew well that the rules wouldn't let Thanatos kill him, or at least they would try. Puffing hard the bird summoned down another bolt of lightning, this one struck his body, drawing energy from the swirling clouds above him and the dragon.
"I was nawt picked for a cowaawk! My 'ome has worse than you." Fully charged the bird launched himself from the shattered glass field and right onto the dragon's face. Digging one taloned hand on either side of Thanatos' head he delivered a massive point blank shock, guiding the raw power of the Nega Lightning between his hands. Roaring in a mix of pain and rage his foe thrashed back and forth as his entire body began to cook, scales melted, falling off like flaky skin. The beast's once great horns looked charred. No known source of heat could affect the dragon, but the small raven's weapon was beyond heat alone.
Tossing his head towards the glass field, this finally dislodged the bird, sending him crashing back into the glass which cut into Corvous, stabbing deep into his flesh. Almost as soon as he let go, the lightning took all the energy fed into itself and exploded, engulfing Thanatos' head in a plume of smoke, sending cracks down his neck and shoulder scales.
Slowly standing up, Corvous saw that his foe was looking almost as haggard as he was. Though still greatly pained he pulled more power from the clouds, his body practically glowing as he braced himself and sent another bolt into the dragon, this one was aimed at Thanatos' chest, the force alone knocked the giant end over tail as his belly was scarred by the harsh energy.
Slowly Corvous walked up along the beach and then hopped onto the stunned form of his foe, traveling along the massive creature until he reached Thanatos' chest. Then the bird placed his talons on the dragon's chest and sent a pulse of lightning deep into the kaiju's chest, forcing Thanatos to come back to the waking world with a start as twin explosions tore through his scales and left deep bloody wounds.
Breathing hard the avian then spread his wings as the dark sky sent it's energy to the raven. Lightning tore down from the heavens to power Corvous as he opened his beak with a threatening hiss. The little kaiju figured he didn't have much to lose, he was going to hit Thanatos with an all out hit with as much Nega Lightning as he could muster, if that didn't shut the mouthy reptile up then the bird was just going to have to aim lower next time...

Thanatos, while stunned, was not in the least bit happy. If his head wasn't swirling like a buzzing nest of hornets, he would knock the little pest upside his head with all his might and break his neck.
The lightning came down, commanded by the bird. Thanatos shot up, flailing in an attempt to do exactly what he was thinking: beat the bird upside his head. But already dazed, he failed in that sense. He managed to get the bird off, in the fact Corvo hopped off and away to avoid the strike, but that didn't stop the Nega-Lightning form coming down like a meteor shower all around the dragon king. Smoke and sand flew in the air all around as Hurican was bombarded.
More blood poured onto the sand, but with it so did the dragons temper.
From the wall of debris came a flash of fire, flying out as fast as falling meteor. Corvo barley had time to react and moved, but his right leg was caught in the attack. Corvo shrilled as he flew away from the heat... oh but his leg. That particular blast was a real scorcher. The skin on his leg was virtually melting and it showed as bone began to show. When Corvo touched down, he hobbled on one leg. The muscles in the burnt one screamed and flaked away like the flesh on a roasted chicken. Flat out, the flesh was destroyed in the sense that nearly all the cells were dead.
But a moment to adjust to the pain would have to wait. Not two seconds on the ground again, another blast of flames came and he narrowly ducked under it. Thanatos came charging forward with more flames. Corvosaurus again dodged, and now began flying up to the sky for cloud cover.
So, this bird always kept going back into the cloud cover and hiding. He liked clouds? Then clouds he would get.
Thanatos began huffing deeply, in and out... in and out... Each breath was longer and deeper then before. Smoke began increasingly creeping out of his mouth and nostrils. Black smoke began accumulating around him. Stinking, black as midnight clouds of burning hot smoke of a nasty caldera coming alive. Breathing these clouds would grant any normal creature or monster a nasty coughing fit, or worse. Then when he was full of air.. he let it all out! With a gargling roar, Thanatos belched a cloud-bank of his own, every bit as black as the Raven's clouds. No storm clouds, though. Nothing less then volcanic smoke.
Corvo stared down at the growing tower of smoke that enveloped that tiny bit of land. Oh how ominous it was, like staring at the foreshadow of a great disaster. It continued to grow too as the dragon beneath it continued to belch out the smoke in surplus. It wasn't long until the smoke reached into the clouds and created a mixture that could hardly be told apart from one another. NOW... it was a new game.
Where was he, where was it... Corvo frantically searched all around as soon blackness came all around. His own clouds still were under his will, but all this foreign stuff... It reeked too. Brimstone and dragon breath. Might as well be Death Le Fume Perfume.
Then out of nowhere came a orange light and Corvo felt the sting of flames again. With a shriek, he ducked out of the path of them and took cover in the darkness. He choked though, having strayed into dragon smoke.
Now, Thanatos may have opened a new board for this game, but he himself was about as blind as Corvosaurus right now. Yet, that distinct coughing was gonna give the bird away. Thanatos turned to the noise and spat a wall of fire in a blind attempt to have roast Raven for dinner.
