After a period of hiatus, Golemech was once more summoned by the UCA to do battle on their behalf. The rock-covered machine found himself in a vast desert. The rolling sand dunes and wind-swept peaks all around him meant there was little to use as weaponry here. Golemech didn't fear sinking into the sand. Gravity manipulation had certain advantages like that.
Now, all that he needed to do was wait until the opposition to arrive to begin his assessment. Then, the battle would begin in earnest.

Nearly 40, 000 meters above the earth, a Mehrksis ship was stationed. Its residents, 14 feet tall monsters with sharp, metallic pangolin-like scutes set up a screen. There, the upcoming fight was broadcasting live for them to see their pride: their technology and mech specialism in action once more.
In a brilliant flash of light, a new monstrosity appeared. With a clawed hand on the sandy soil, the other resting on its knee, the navy blue warrior almost looked like a monstrous anteater covered in wicked armor plating. It slowly looked around for a moment before, just as slowly, rising to its feet. The alien alloy forming its armor shined beautifully in the baking-hot sun. The alien mech made absolutely no sound, minus the sound of its armor plates clanking together, its footsteps, and the steam pouring from four vents. No battle cry or mere grunt escaped its toothy jaws. After scanning the area, Halion One locked its six eyes onto Golemech. It was unusual, although the statement was ironic; rare were mechs that had rocky armor plating covering them. As it began to ponder how to crack that coconut, the blue mech patiently waited for the announcement to come...

Golemech wasted no time after the announcement was given, as he raised his right arm and formed a gravity leash between himself and Halion One. Although the opposing mech was at the limits of the gravity leash to manipulate, it was still within those limits, as Halion One was suddenly lifted off the ground, before being inverted and slammed back down. The sands part around him as Halion found himself buried head-first in the sand. But Golemech wasn't finished, as Halion found himself lifted out of the sand before being slung across the dunes, crashing through a mound of sand.
As Golemech stomped forward, ready to continue the beatdown, when Halion One emerged from the collapsed dune and fired off a series of spikes from his wrist, which lodged themselves into the rocky exterior of Golemech's armor, scattering fragments of rock and crystal everywhere and leaving smoldering wounds in their wake.
But Golemech wasn't finished, as he kept moving forward before firing the Gravity Cannon into Halion, the blast of gravitic force driving the six-eyed machine into the ground even further. As the sand settled further, Golemech began to suck up the fragments from his own rocky exterior and damaged chunks from Halion's armor into the Mass Accelerator, before preparing to fire them at Halion One...

The six-eyed mech stumbled back as the chunks of rock slammed into him with loud clangs! The blue plating was chipped and worn a bit by them, even crumbling at some points. Halion One raised its arm over his head, so that the elbow spike pointed Golemech. With a loud detonation, a trail of smoke appeared and a large chunk of rock armor was ripped clean off the machine’s chest! Halion had used his Gravity Gun to alter the mass of the armor in order to rip it off!
When the chunk fell on the ground, Halion One threw his forearm forward and grabbed it before his opponent would. The appendage was reeled back on with shocking speed (pun intended) by the electrical chain connected to it. Lifting up his other fist, the Mehrksis mech fired the EML/RSG. The numerous spiky bullets punched through the damaged part of the chest’s dense armor and detonated, going as far as pushing Golemech back as pieces of his armor flew in all direction as explosions went on. The heat was enough to melt more of the armor. As molten slag slowly oozed from the wounds and electricity crackled from damaged circuits, Halion One reached in his back, dropping the chunk of rocky armor on the ground and placing a clawed foot on it. The alien mechanical warrior retrieved Ixion, which began to surge with blue lightning. Wielding Ixion, Halion whipped his arms upwards and began to spin the spiked mace weapon as if holding a lasso. The weapon took more and more speed until it became nothing but an electric blur. When he felt it was enough, Halion One kicked the piece of rocky armor upwards and smashed Ixion against it like a baseball bat!
The rock was shattered with a loud sound. Pieces of little rocks rained on the ground, some almost hitting Golemech, but spikes dug themselves into the remaining (and biggest) piece and enveloped it in an electric cloak. The blurred weapon hit Golemech’s head dead on with frightening force! Both the mace and rock hitting at that speed and power caused the mech to lurch backwards and the rocky armor to crack and shatter, splitting the camera lenses a bit with its sheer strength. But Golemech could still see – the crack was more an annoyance than anything, obstructing his vision a little bit. As Golemech crashed to the ground with a loud thud, kicking up a cloud of dust, plagued by blue electricity dancing across its circuits, Halion One retrieved and sheathed Ixion, which was stuck in the top of Golemech’s rocky cranium. As soon as he was back on his feet, the blue alien opened his arms as if he wanted to give Golemech a big hug. The Grappling Hooks latched firmly around Golemech’s shoulder and Halion threw him up, then quickly reeled the cables towards him. Lifting his spiked knee, the blue warrior prepared to smash Golemech’s damaged head!

Golemech could not stop Halion's assault, as the blue machine's spiked knee slammed into the rocks covering his face, shattering some and revealing the machinery beneath. What he could do, however, was retaliate, as the symbol on his chest flashed a bright green before Halion One found himself hammered by a rapid succession of gravity waves, which forcefully disengaged him from Golemech and threw him back into the sand.
Golemech's Gravity Cannon glowed to life once more, as the leash formed between the two combatants, and Halion One found himself soaring skywards for a few hundred feet before being whipped around and slammed back to the ground, head first. As the blue machine tried to extricate his head, like the proverbial ostrich in the sand, Golemech's massive shoulder crystal crackled with energy before zapping Halion One across the back, leaving scorched and charred armor in the emerald beam's wake.
Finally, however, Halion One managed to get his head unstuck, only to find himself face to face with Golemch's Gravity Cannon, a blast of gravitic force primed and ready to go...

The Mehrksis mech was sent skidding across the ground by the gravity wave, coming to a stop only when his back violently hit a rocky tower-like structure. The impact of the mechanical monster’s weight at this speed caused its surface to splinter and crack. Rocks and pebbles bounced off Halion One’s head as he extirpated himself from the tower. Seeing his opponent preparing to attack him once more, the blue mech spun around, sending his clubbed spiked tail hitting Golemech’s knees. The metal screamed in protest as it was crushed off and disfigured. The golem swayed forward and fell right to his damaged knees, retaining himself from falling with an arm. Those damaged knees would cause his walk to be a bit funny, but still possible.
Before he could even get up and turn around to face Halion, he was suddenly hit in the back by Ixion!
The blue mech had kicked off the ground with greenish jets and propelled himself behind Golemech, landing with a loud thud and a cloud of dust. Ixion caved the rocky plating in and electrocuted the mineral machine, successfully overcharging its systems and causing a temporary system failure that caused its upper body to topple flat to the sandy soil. Fortunately for Halion, he did not have to worry about electricity. He was practically a walking battery.
Just as Golemech attempted to get back up, he was pinned to the ground by Halion One’s weight. Ixion had not managed to punch very deep into the armor, but Halion's next attack would do the rest. The rocky machine’s systems flashed once more as the Mehrksis’ pride began pounding his fists into the wound he just created. A chorus of metallic groans accompanied each blow – the last hit, as for itself, was accompanied by a fountain of sparks as Halion One tore through circuitry and ripped a bunch of circuits clean off!
While the blue anteater-like mech held his “prize” almost triumphantly, the biggest member of the Mehrksis above, who were all very proud of their creation, Kalrus, unconsciously began to slowly sway his spiked tail from side the side, the metallic spikes making screech-like noises as it scraped across the floor. This big brute was the lead member of the Helios Project and designer of Halion One. He was there when the blueprints were done, he was there when the construction was taking place and he was there to watch his mechanical creation fight off the rocky inhabitants threatening the Mehrksis wanting to install themselves on this one planet. Halion’s current opponent reminded him of these monsters, which might explain the savagery towards it, although this machine was not as monstrous as the hellish creatures living in the snow hell.
Halion One slowly let his opponent rise to his feet and tossed aside the pile of circuits he was holding. Then, he grabbed hold of the whip handles installed in his legs, their fiery lengths quickly unfolding with a “pssschhh”. With his creators watching attentively, Halion cracked the whips and swung them at Golemech, aiming to coil them around his neck and send him to the floor...
He would make his creators even more proud of him!

The whips snagged the rock-covered machine by the "neck", at the same time that Golemech's central insignia began to pulse with light. With a crack of the whip, Golemech found himself thrown to the ground with a tremendous crash, the blue machine towering over him, EMLs primed and ready to fire. However, Halion noticed the flashing insignia and tried to step back. But by then, it was too late, as a pulse of null-gravity erupted from Golemech. Halion One found himself unable to move, as well as practically floating upwards for a few brief seconds, before an emerald leash of energy formed between him and Golemech.
Golemech hurled Halion One skywards before firing a blast from the Gravity Cannon and striking the rapidly accelerating Halion One dead center, pulverizing armor and sending him flying skywards for several thousand feet before gravity finally returned to him. Halion One did not fear falling, as his Ion Thrusters flared to life, as the Mehrksis mech attempted to stabilize himself, before he saw something very odd. Golemech was flying straight at him, wielding a giant chunk of rock from the formation Halion had used earlier. The blue machine attempted to dodge but was smashed upside the head with the giant boulder, the impact throwing him off course as he plummeted to the ground.
The earth shook with the impact as a plume of sand and dust rose high in the air. When the debris settled, Halion One was lying tangled at the bottom of the impact crater, sand already falling back into the hole. The machine tried to rise, when a shadow fell over him as Golemech was plummeted towards him, ready to crush him beneath his bulk. Halion One managed to fire off a few spikes from the EML, the high-speed rounds tearing into Golemech's armor, but failing to stop his descent, as Golemech prepared to crush Halion One into the ground...

Kalrus bit his lip and leaned in towards the screen he was watching, the one that was showing the ongoing clash of mechas in front of the Mehrksis. His metallic scutes pricked themselves in what seemed to be worry – he had noticed that the rocky mecha, Golemech, had fought with more ferocity in his latest moves. Though his own mech always fought this way, he could not let his opponent gain the upper hand. The Mehrksis’ blue eyes shifted from Golemech to Halion One, who was twitching a bit. Something was going on with the fiery core of the anteater-like mech! It first started to glow brighter, and then quickly began to roar flames, which grew until there was a bright orange flash. Steam poured profusely like a chimney from Halion’s vents as a wall of flames collided full-force with Golemech, the force rippling across his whole body like an earthquake, forming spiderweb-like cracks on his mineral armor. The steam and roaring flames managed to whip him back right where he came from! The flames licked away at his armor, the heat actually enough to make the mineral protection and the metallic one melt to some sort of molten slag. Golemech crashed to the ground with a large cloud of dust and a small bounce. While electricity sizzled freely in his damaged circuitry, the molten slag oozed on his front side and caused more damage by melting even more armor, which in turn became slag and continued the vicious circle, while Halion One still had his six sickly green eyes locked on his foe. The large cannons on his back began to glow with a red aura. Just as Golemech was trying to crawl back to his feet, he discovered a nasty surprise! The mineral slag had cooled and hardened, locking his legs in an extended position! All what he could do now was watch on as the weapons’ pods glowed brighter and brighter, before dozens of red energy bombs were spewed from them. The auto-guided bombs floated surprisingly fast towards their prey, bombarding his body from all sides! A symphony of CRRUUTCH rang as armor was pulverized by the 32 projectiles. In the Mehrksis ship, Kalrus relaxed, a slight smirk spreading on his tooth-barred lips as he watched the fireworks. However, a deep growl soon formed in his throat as he spotted movement amidst the explosions. Golemech’s arm, which, unlike his legs, was well able to move, raised itself and the cannon grabbed a rock, then hurled it at the merry twisted anteater thingamajig! The mechanical “spikosaur” spotted the movement within the explosions, thanks to his advanced radars and quickly braced itself; the only thing he could find to do before a rock flying towards him at this speed and little time to dodge was to brace himself and take the hit. The mineral collided with the underside of Halion’s arm, caving the armor in and making ugly, decent-sized dents in it! The blue mech’s body slightly angled backwards under the impact. He wondered, for a moment, if he would still be able to move the damaged plates if he had to use the Meat Grinders. The spiky mech took a small step back and prepared a counter-assault. As Golemech climbed back to his feet (the bombs having damaged enough the rock preventing his leg movement), the damage was visible for everyone to see, without the smoke to hide it. The rock armor was practically completely destroyed (on the front side, at least), minus patches still standing. The armor below had been maimed as well; some parts were smoldering and sizzling. Unfortunately for Golemech, but fortunately for the Mehrksis above, Halion was still on the assault. A mine was tossed right in front of the mechanical golem, who looked down on it. It seemed pretty inoffensive, but, after the golem lifted it with his foot and tried to kick it farther like it was a mere annoyance, the green goo-filled mine, as if it had a mind of its own, flew like a web and attached itself firmly on Golemech’s back! The golem clawed at his back and tried to shove the emerald-colored goo off, but it would never let go! Each time he remotely managed to whip it off a bit, it kept latching itself even more firmly. Some of it even flowed into the open wound on his back! Finally, the goo detonated, knocking Golemech off his feet and sending him crashing face-first to the ground with a resounding thud. The armor and circuitry on that portion of his back was sent flying like a geyser, soon to fall back to the earth like a rain of brass petals. There, an electric sizzling reached Golemech. He raised his head to look at whatever was the anteater doing, only to see him spinning Ixion overhead, aiming to crush his head like a gripe fruit! (OOC: Lulz, anyone else noticed my posts seem to get bigger and bigger as the fight advances? )

(So I noticed. But if it takes more than one sitting to read a post, I'm out. ) But Golemech had no intention of being crushed by Ixion. The Gravity Cannon came up once again, and the familiar emerald leash formed between his claws and the alien weapon. Halion screeched as he tried to force Ixion down on the rocky machine's head, which meant he wasn't paying attention to Golemech's other hand, as the Mass Accelerator began to siphon up rocks and debris, including several crystal fragments from his own body. By the time Halion One noticed, it was too late, as the Mass Accelerator fired at near point-blank range. The rock and metal fragments opened up further wounds in the Mehrksis mech's body, while the crystal fragments exploded like kaiju-sized grenade rounds, widening existing gaps and knocking Halion One back away from the golem. Golemech's body groaned as a pulse of gravity waves shattered the hardened slag coating his body. The rocky machine rose to a standing position as Halion One was recovering as well. Unfortunately, Golemech had forgotten about Ixion, as the mace smashed into his chest, shattering rock and denting the armor beneath. But, a quick blast of shots from the Gravity Cannon ended Halion One's assault, as the gravitic spheres crushed the blue mech's torso armor. Golemech then used the Gravity Cannon again this time to lift Halion One off the ground before inverting him and smashing him headfirst into the sand. With his foe disabled, Golemech used crystals from his own body to fuel the Mass Accelerator, preparing to fire the explosive rounds into Halion One's backside...

The twisted cybernetic anteater’s legs pedaled in the air somewhat as the explosive rounds showered over his back like a rain of auto-guided meteors. Halion did not fear the fire they created, instead absorbing the thermal energy to power up his core even more, but the kinetic power of the rounds caved his armor in and pulverized some circuits underneath! A strange, alien-sounding sound rumbled from underground. It was like distant thunder, but more metallic-sounding. It came from Halion One, who had enough of being tossed around. Some electric arcs crackled from the damaged circuits, but not for long. Using his electrokinesis, he channeled the little arcs so that they reached the other damaged end of the circuit like an electric bridge. The rest of the blue mech’s body fell to the ground with a thud. Being smashed head first in the soil like some big plant was no fun at all, but he intended to return to favor! Dragging his burly hands across the sand, Halion pushed himself up and extirpated his head from the flooring, before slowly getting back up, sand rolling down his plated body.
The mechanical organism opened its toothy maw, tongue lazily swaying to the side. For a moment, he looked like a teenager falling asleep and drooling in the middle of an especially boring maths class. He was actually pondering about a counter-attack. Kalrus wondered what would be his creation’s next move, examining the battle field for possible weapons. Then, suddenly, Halion had an idea – the same one as his Mehrksis “parent”.
His opponent was capable of picking him up and tossing him around like a ragdoll with his special weapon, but so could he! Electrokinesis had its advantages, after all. It gave him, to some point, control over gravity and magnetism. Lifting up his arms to his sides, Halion One opened his clawed hands. Soon, electric bolts danced across his massive fingers, which he twirled back and forth frenetically. As his hands generated more and more blue electricity, two crackling spheres formed in his palms. When he felt it was time, Halion controlled the spheres so that they shot right over his head and flew over Golemech’s position, drawing lightning bolts across the ground from time to time and spinning around each other like two children playing. The spheres soon merged into a single, bigger one. The magnetic field Halion was using there collapsed and the massive sphere detonated, crushing Golemech to the ground and, without as much rocky protection to insulate the lightning, supercharging his circuits!
The sheer kinetic force of the explosion caved the armor plating inwards, while the worsened impact of the giant machine falling to the ground cratered it, creating spiderweb-like cracks. With his foe unable to move, Halion continued to generate electricity around him. Soon, his whole body was crackling blinding light and twitching somewhat. Huffing a plume of smoke, Halion went on with his next move. There was a shockwave of electricity, and it seemed like time itself had slowed to a halt!
Gigantic rock formations, as well as small ones, including little fragments of damaged rock remaining from previous assaults, were rooted out from the ground!
The rocks slowly hovered in the air, controlled by Halion’s electrokinesis technique to control magnetism, before smashing into Golemech! The rocky machine was dug deeper and deeper underground, his body wrecked by the massive minerals slamming into him. After a while, the golem emerged from the smoking hole, pieces of armor falling down and circuits crackling. The air was shimmering around Halion One, who was still huffing smoke, which also escaped its vents. The rocky mech grabbed a piece of rock that smashed against him earlier and hurled it at Halion. The walking mass of spikes lifted his arm and caught in his clawed hand, but he could not avoid a flurry of other ones thrown at him. Without however dropping the rock he was holding, Halion threw his head back and stumbled backwards as his armor was damaged more and more by the projectiles. Having enough, he grabbed Ixion and began to spin it around until it became, once again, a mere bluish blur. Throwing the rock up in front of him with his foot, he hit it like a baseball bat, sending it crashing against Golemech’s face.
As the golem stumbled back, the Mehrksis mech continued to spin Ixion around and threw his arms straight forward, the mace aiming straight towards Golemech...

(Sorry for the delay. Holidays, work and sleep dep prevented me from doing this one when I posted in my other fight.)
The mace clanged off Golemech's armored head, shattering rock and denting armor, as well as sending the otherworldly machine stumbling backwards. But Golemech wasn't about to relent. By utilizing his electrokinesis, Halion One had generated plenty of debris for him to play with, as the Gravity Cannon hummed to life, rapidly forming and releasing leashes betwen chunks of debris before flinging them at the Mehrksis mech. Halion deflected a few, but the rest smashed home, as Golemech used his gravity manipulation abilities to force them into gaps in the armor, widening the wounds previously generated.
But Golemech wasn't finished, as the machine raised the Mass Accelerator, having recently loaded chunks of his own armor plating and several crystal shards into the mix, which he then offloaded into Halion's chest at close range. The scatter effect was reduced, but not the punishment, as the explosions and solid fragments ripped open further holes in the blue machine's armor. Smoke and flame erupted from these wounds as Golemech pressed the assault, snagging Halion one with the gravity leash again before rapidly smashing him back and forth into the sand and rock, leaving a pair of craters on either side of him, lined with fragments from the Mehrksis machine's own armor and circuitry.
Finally, Golemech inverted Halion One and prepared to piledrive him headfirst into the ground again, this time for good...

(S’alright. Hope you had a merry Christmas, btw. ;D)
Halion one was splattered like a pancake against the unforgiving ground, a metallic cry coming from his suffering ventral armor plates as they were caved in, some damaged parts detaching themselves like scorched puzzle pieces. The ground shook as the massive mechanical paragon caved his shape in the rocky flooring. His head was stuck like an ostrich’s in the sand... again! The blue mech’s hand clenched into a fist and smashed the ground like a gigantic hammer, sending a geyser of sand go sky high. Electric bolts danced across the edgy limb, before spreading to Halion’s back, then his whole form. The fragments of rock he had been attacked with earlier began to float in the air, as if they were stuck in the vacuum of space, just as a loud hum could be heard. A majestic chain of lightning could be seen linking each fragment, before the electricity intensified. Before long, a bright light flashed and the rocks were reduced to nothing but dust!
Halion One retrieved his head from the ground and stared at Golemech. No words were exchanged, but his glare alone let him know he was not one to appreciate having his own weapons used against him. As light blue lightning bolts still danced wickedly across his form, Halion ever so slowly got back to his feet. The large machine expanded his arms to his sides, then redirected the chains of lightning so that they converged towards the same point: around Golemech. More and more bolts joined them until a spherical figure of electricity was formed around him. Stuck in the middle of the orb, the rocky, damaged mech was divorced from the ground, being lifted up by Halion using the same electromagnetism-based technique he used earlier. Halion One slowly rose to a full upright position, arms still spread like a priest and fingers shaking somewhat as electricity bolted across their spiky length. The golem-like machine was ascended higher and higher in the ground, until reaching a height of at least 20, 000 meters, roughly halfway through the position of the Mehrksis ship!
As the rocky machine reached the zenith of his electric ascension, Halion parted his maw into a toothy snarl, tongue darting out slightly. Almost immediately, powerful electromagnetic pulses began to clobber Golemech from all sides! His armor plating was caved in severely, sharp edges striking and slicing circuitry, while remaining rock fragments were broken and disintegrated as they fell against the walls of the electric dome. The helpless machine was battered before the Mehrksis mech’s six eyes, before the sphere was suddenly extinguished. However, he was far from being out of the woods, as Halion kicked off the ground with green jets and took to the skies. While his enemy plummeted closer to the ground by the second, the strong electric currents having temporarily disabled him, the alien anteater-like machine gained more and more speed, managing to help himself going faster by creating concentrated electric jets of sorts in his hands and feet.
Mere seconds before reaching his falling foe, the blue mech whipped his laser katana from its sheath and threw himself into an upright position , his electric feet in front of him and clubbed tail lashing to avoid losing balance. The opposed combatants got closer and closer to the other, until...
CR-TSSSCHHH!
A smoldering gash was left against Golemech’s thigh, just as he finally regained proper control of himself. The golem managed to catch himself in mid-air and landed in all security, Halion rejoining him a little farther a short time afterwards, sliding across the ground for a bit before coming to a stop. The blue mech slowly walked towards his enemy, who was looking in the environs for a rock or weapon he could use. Not seeing any for now, he prepared to zap the weird organism in the face, but he had not time to react as the spiky mech’s long tongue suddenly wrapped around his upper body and neck like a snake would coil around a prey to suffocate them. The silvery appendage was covered in lava-like slime and restrained its grasp each time Gol tried to free himself. The two mechs wrestled with their arms for a bit, before Hal had enough and whipped his head and tongue upwards, throwing his enemy in the air, but still attached to his tongue. The Mehrksis’ champion then threw his tongue downwards, slamming his foe against the ground. He repeated it until his foe was buried in the ground, before retrieving his longue burning tongue and rocketing his spiny forearm clean off from its socket, aiming to strike Golemech as he was stuck...
