And so the time had finally arrived. After so much chaos, so much destruction, so much unstoppable fury... the time for the decisive battle had come. After having been wounded heavily in the forest, and failing strike down his foes, the massive black beast soon descended upon a section of the city. The skies grew blood red, an ominous vortex soon rippling open above the arena. Fire and lightning danced down from the skies, and began to reign destruction and chaos down upon the arena. The earth split apart, creating massive canyons in the earth. Fires incinerated large portions of the city, as lightning danced, illuminating the carnage for those around to see.
The Beast soon unleashed a roar, rattling the arena, scattering buildings and structures all around. The arena looked less like a city and more like the aftermath of a nuclear bomb at this point. The Beast soon caused a large pillar of stone to erupt from the earth beneath his feet, causing him to rise several miles above the city, allowing him to see for miles around. The wounded behemoth observed the world, awaiting the arrival of those who stood against him. Now that he had arrived, it was time to take what was his.
The world would be the first of many to be consumed, and there was nothing that the mortals that opposed him could do to stop him. Let them come; mighty as his foes were, they only bested him last time due to he himself deciding to leave. But now, now that he was ready for them- now it would be different. Destruction would reign supreme, and existence would soon end as they knew it.

A loud, blood-thirsty howl filled the sky, bringing the giant's attention to the direction it had come from. Orsa turned, and narrowed his eyes as he spotted Mara perched upon a ruined building, the massive 9 tails of the fox swaying back and forth as she glared right back at the horrible beast. This was it. No more running. It had nowhere else to go. She would murder it here and now. Her fur crackled as her claws dug into the sides of the building sending shards of glass and concrete falling below. A demonic roar ruptured from within her, and she prepared to pounce....
"Amazing... so you still draw upon the power of the evil spirit within you, even though it is dead." A voice echoed through her mind. Mara, caught off-guard by this, nearly lost her footing. Was that... Orsa that spoke? No, that couldn't be. It simply made no sense... so who had spoken? "Oh, pardon my rudeness. I am someone here to aid you in this fight. Now just ignore me and focus on the giant ugly mug."
"But, who are yo-" Mara's words were cut off as she noticed movement. She leapt onto another building, just as Orsa's massive fist came barreling down, destroying the building she had been on only a few moments ago.
"Talk later, save universe now." The voice said, it's tone near unidentifiable. Mara couldn't tell if it was male or female, or friend or foe, but for now, it wasn't like she had a choice to listen to it. She locked her eyes back on Orsa, the fox ready for battle...

((For anyone wondering, Danz let me join. My health didn't want me to join the initial battle, but I had plenty of time to recover and been willing to step in for quite some time.))
Amidst the churning blood red skies, a new portal ripped the air apart. It was a bright red, lightning bolts flickering around it at random intervals. A huge feathered monstrosity emerged from the portal, just as it closed. Feathers bristling and eyes focused, Dr Michiru Yamane bolted to battle. "Sorry, I'm late... At least, I hope not too late," spoke the trademark trio of distorted voices as the avian soared overhead, circling the Apocalypse Incarnate to get its attention away from Mara. "Of course... I would've liked my first battle to be more... huh... relaxing, than fighting this... this thing." This was the last comment the mangled Beast said, before the Red Lightning's pointy ears pricked up and brows sunk, the activity of her red core intensifying to prepare for the last stand against the abomination...

A bright spear of light pierced the heavens, splitting the bloody red sky above the glowering monstrosity that had birthed it as he glared down upon creation, hungering for it all. The dazzling shimmer drew close and grazed Orsa atop his stone watchtower, slashing down briefly across the hulking brute's cheek. As the javelin of brilliance passed the abomination, striking the ground miles below, a small gash- courtesy of hooked claws- was left in the living mountain's rocky flesh.
From the wash of divine light that scoured the earth, a small, crouched shape appeared, its blood-splattered hands smearing red across the ground as it rose with a low growl and an echoing electronic howl. Rounded brown eyes burned up like wood-kindled flames, tiny smoulders fed by brush and earth and all things sacred to the land.
"ORSA. YOU'RE MINE."
Sid stared up at the eldritch demon of meat and bone, and the enraged little hero slammed his fists together. "EVEN IF I HAVE TO CLIMB THAT DAMN MOUNTAIN TO REACH YOU."

Amidst the rampant flames and strikes of lightning, not easy was it to notice a singular twinkle of light shine to life...but easier it became when the light spread to border an impenetrably dark hole through the dimensions. And none present could have missed the serpentine, silver- and golden-scaled shape emerge from the riftway.
Including Orsa.
Shinryu too quickly and too easily felt the abomination's glare, bearing unworldly rage and malice, as it took the field a short distance from Sid. He, not only being nearby but having taken a preemptive strike at the monster, surely felt it as well...but if it inspired any fear in the brawler, such was not reflected in the message he tapped or the sidelong smirk he gave the dragon with it.
"STILL RECOGNIZE THIS PLACE?"
This time, Shinryu gave a slight nod in answer. (Where my path as a warrior began...) The former god took a ready stance and mustered its magical energy, causing the heat-rippled air about it to shimmer and dance even quicker.
(And, fate willing, where the path of this beast shall end.)

The already mangled earth exploded as the giant form of Behemoth emerged from deep beneath the ground. The titan uttered a deep, primal growl, forced to look up, and up, and up at Orsa, far above the city atop his pillar. A sneer crossed his stoney face. So it sought to outdo him with his own element?
The ground shifted beneath his feet, cracking like the surface of an egg. Fissures spread across the battlefield as the shaking, roaring earth threatened to topple Orsa's throne. Behemoth's voice echoed across the battlefield, drowning out even the thunder that roared across the skies.
"YOUR TIME HAS COME TO AN END!"

From the darkened skies came the toxic hero. Landing atop a huge skyscraper, Venturimon appeared. The hero glared down at the abomination amongst the empty metropolis. He extended a hand, pointing at the beast of beasts. “Okay ass hat. There’s no escaping us this time. Your candy ass is ours.”

Another beam of electronic brilliance slashes down from the heavens a few moments later. When it fades, Pavoroc hovers high in the air, at eye level with but many hundreds of meters away from Orsa-Terminus. He glares at the monstrosity for a moment before looking around at the other monsters that have already arrived, noting the newcomer that wasn’t in the initial confrontation. He then returns his attention back to Orsa.
“You won’t get off so easily this time, beast.”

Halcitrox finally arrived at the scene, as he was slower in the air than Pavoroc or Captain Toxic. However, the dragon was no less determined to end the threat Orsa posed. Halcitrox had literally been made to do things like this.

The massive, blackened form of the beast stood tall atop his throne, watching the other monsters stare at him. No one moved a muscle, not even the ever-so-anxious Sid. Lightning illuminated the darkened city, as flames danced about the ruins of the former arena. The beast suddenly jumped down from its roost, before crashing down into the arena below. Earth rent and blasted outwards from the force of his 500,000 ton body slamming into the ground, as a plume of dust rose up into the sky. The beast soon breathed in, and unleashed a powerful roar!
The battle had begun!
As the many kaiju unleashed their ranged attacks upon the apocalyptic beast, Orsa roared again, his roar causing their attacks to dissipate or deflect away from the brute. Suddenly, the skies became tumultuous, as a massive meteor shower began to assault the city! The heroic warriors were forced to take evasive maneuvers, as the rain of destruction devastated large swathes of the city. Those who tried to strike Orsa with their ranged weapons were hit by one of the massive fireballs, causing them to be knocked down and disoriented. In her fury, Mara attempted to strike the lumbering brute up close, only to be met with a powerful backhand, sending her flying into the smoldering ruins of a nearby building!
Orsa snarled, before he hopped upwards, taking to the skies to oversee the chaos that was unfolding. The beast unleashed another powerful roar, one accompanied with a sound of thunder and a flash of lightning. Suddenly, a whirling vortex of wind began to descend down onto the arena, as a giant, F5 Tornado touched down in the city, tearing a swathe of destruction through the world! The fools had not seen the extent of his destructive power in the earlier battle; he had not shown them his powers of catastrophe! but now, now that they had forced his hand, he would put his destructive capabilities to their maximum potential!
((OOC: Oh, I thought I'd say this before we get rollin'. I've decided that Orsa attacking once every two posts made the last fight take too long, so I've upped it to once every 3 posts.))

Mara groaned as she heaved herself out of the rubble of the building. Glass shards and concrete slabs embedded in her fur caused her white coat to bleed crimson, but that was the least of her worries. Before her, the powerful might of Orsa was in full display, the very twister he created becoming a dark funnel of debris and destruction. Any sane monster that looked at it would keep well away, or risk getting flung by it, and Mara herself was about to go right for Orsa, and away from the twister, when the voice in her head spoke again. You do realize he's far too high to reach normally. You need to use that twister to get up to him.
"Your mad if you think that's going to work!" Mara mentally retorted. "I could get impaled by something in there, or flung into one of my allies..."
Or get flung into Orsa, letting you knock him down for everyone else to get at. Let's face it, if he doesn't get landlocked, we don't stand a chance. Now go, into the tornado! The voice resonated through her. Mara looked at the approaching spiral of death with dread and fear. even from her position, she was being dragged toward it. It was suicidal to do it, it was crazy! And yet... and yet... It was as if the voice she heard... it was Crigan's own. The voice of reason... the voice she could trust.
She closed her eyes, and leapt forward. Her feet didn't touch the ground as she was carried into the raging tornado. Her paws were stretched out as she entered the large funnel, And she felt herself spinning faster and faster. That was, until she felt something. Instinctivly, her claws dug into it, and she hauled herself ontop. She opened her eyes, and she was ontop of an entire uprooted building, mostly in one piece, but atleast 5 times as large as she was. With her claws dug in, she kept her body flat, so that she wouldn't be spun off of it. Faster and faster it spun around, being carried higher and higher into the sky. She couldn't even see the battlefield, for she was spinning so rapidly, and the darkness inside it so prevailing, she had no idea where what was. On my signal. As soon as I say go, blast the side of the building with your tails to propel it out of the twister and at Orsa. The voice said, and Mara, now riding only on the trust of the voice, began to form the energy spheres within her tails...
NOW!
At that moment, the orbs fired, and the spiraling building, propelled by it's own momentum and the strength of the blasts, rocketed out of the twister at such a high speed, it was like a missles being fired right at Orsa. The flying behemoth barely had time to register the oncoming threat until it struck him square in the head. The force of the blow sent Orsa reeling back, teeth and blood flying from the impact. The building dissintergrated upon hitting, and Mara leapt off of it as quickly as she could, and onto the towering form of Orsa, as the beast plummeted out of the sky and toward the ground below. Those monsters below rushed out of the way as Orsa, like the fallen angel Satan before him long ago, fell from the heavens and crashed into the ground, a spiraling mass of dust and debris flying upward from the hit. yet even this hit wasn't enough to down the beast for long. As Mara tried leaping off of Orsa, a pain shot up her side. One of the miniature mouths extending from the beast had latched onto her side and was now biting down on her. She whirled around, and was about to slice it apart, when it suddenly rose, carrying her into the air.
It was then, that she found herself face to face, with a recovered Orsa the giant's head mere meters from hers. the numerous eyes of the titan narrowed in rage, and the beast let loose a deafening roar, one that shook the land and heavens alike. Most would have fainted from being so near and trapped by this monster, yet Mara was merely furious, Electricity crackled around her body as her own maw formed into a snarl. "This is for my husband, you damn dirty glutton!" She hissed, as she brought her claws back...
and then plunged them into one of Orsa's massive eyeballs. At that same instant, lightning danced from her body, and shot straight into the monster, lighting him up like a Christmas tree. The maw that had it's grasp on her withdrew, crying and snarling in pain, yet she kept her grip on Orsa, pumping more and more electricity into him. The abomination howled in rage and pain as the pain and damage took it's toll, both externally and internally....

Twin javelins speared the churning sky with nearly supersonic speed. Their speed was what allowed them to stab into the living mountain of terror's shadowy hide, the beast roaring in anger. The voice caused Michiru's feathers to rattle and destabilize her, as white particles materialized to create new javelins attached to her wings. The thing's regeneration was going to pull off the weapons impaled in its body, but Mich used her psychic powers to form a barrier around her weapons, preventing regenerating cells from moving them out.
Orsa's mutated head stared up at the mangled bird, before its gigantic hand latched around her. "Agh, no!!" was all Mich managed to utter before she was planted like a stick face-first in the ground, buried nearly completely. Only her paws wriggled in a pitiful attempt at pulling herself out, but she came with a better solution mere seconds later, as she rocketed off the hole with the help of a telekinetic pulse. Her forehead had been split and bleeding, thin rivers of blood passing over a closed eye. Mich groaned and shook herself, sending blood droplets flying. With powerful beats of her wings, she soared around and lashed out at Orsa. A deep slice on the beast's scalp was formed and drew a patch, before a chunk of meat was torn clean off!
With another psychic power, Dr Yamane heated up the exposed flesh, causing it to become ablaze! While the abomination roared in pain and anger, she expanded the burning area, aiming to roast the thing alive...

While Orsa thrashed in rage under a sheet of rolling flames and churning smoke, the blaze encouraged by the feathered telepath called Mich, Sid slammed himself into a behemoth of another kind, his arms and feet whirling like brown-pelted windmills. With claws, fist, and even his pointed teeth, the little giant tore into the base of the immense stone pillar summoned up from the earth by Orsa. The rocky tower was dense and hard to damage, its stone flesh just as tough as the devil's thick, toothed hide, but it at least did not fight back. And, standing literal miles into the air, there was an unimaginable weight pressing down on its, gravity slamming down on the insult to its influence as if in anger of its unabashed gall. All Sid had to do was weaken the base enough to allow girth to defeat structure...
GGGGGgggrrrrrr... RRRRRRrrrrrgggggGGGGGgggggGGGGGGGHHHHHH...
With Sid boring into the rocky roots of the column like a mad dirt devil, the towering stone shape began to tremble and groan, small fractures racing up and down its impossible height. As Sid attacking from below and gravity pressuring from above, the spire of earth shook and tumbled, small rocks breaking loose from its form and careening down at a thousand miles per hour. Orsa, too busy bellowing in outrage as his body burned, did not notice the dying moans of the improbable tower. The other heroes, though, they took note immediately and began to move from the shadow of the slumping structure.
Nearly carved a quarter of the way into the broad foot of the spire, Sid leaned his panting head back. His muscles burned from moving so much earth, sweat dampening his fur like a sheet of mist, but there was still one last blow that needed to be delivered. Dancing gaseous energy up and down his sharp dorsal plates, the little giant aimed his stout jaws for the innermost crevice scraped into the towering stone monolith and cracked open his toothy little maw...
Wwvvvvvvooooooooooosh! GRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAH...
Like a defeated redwood, the pillar began to fall!
Sid scrambled out from underneath the shrinking ledge of the cavern he had gouged into the rocky foot and dove to the side, out from beneath the black shadow of the goliath, smiling angrily at Orsa all the way. As the once human thing slammed a heel into the ground, skidding to a stop just outside of the growing black outline of the tower that skewered the earth with its ever increasing length, he slammed a deafening electronic howl into his wrist-mounted voice box.
"TRY FIGHTING SOMETHING YOUR OWN SIZE, ASSBUTT."
Orsa, his impermeable hide finally doused, turned to face the dark shadow that overtook him like the dragon being consumed by the leviathan. The mindless beast snarled at the collapsing tower of earth and stone, unintimidated by its size and speed, but, as he reared to try and grapple with it, there was no contest of who won this fight.
With a mighty CRASH!, Orsa-Terminus, the great devourer of all, was crushed under the one thing on this planet that was larger than he was!
Great cheers rose up from the gathered heroes, the loudest being from Sid himself, but their celebration was premature. As the slain pillar crumbled and scattered into a million tons of rubble, a great ten-toed leg rose up from its rocky corpse! Sid was thrown up into the air as the huge foot came pummeling down mere meters from where he stood, one of its toothy maws stretching out like a skinless python and snatching him out of the sky! The former human howled as he was gored by the featureless set of jaws, his fur and hide slicked red with blood. In anger, the foot flailed once again, and the slobbering ring of fangs released Sid to soar! The mammal-reptile hybrid tumbled through the air, gasping in shock as the monstrous face of Orsa erupted from the rubble that buried him and opened its petaled jaws in an attempt to swallow the hero whole.
Not even a fallen goliath of a billion tons could stop Orsa!
Although Sid was an easy target hanging in midair and Orsa had the reach to gulp him down whole, the beast was still gripped by rage. His wild, lopsided lunge missed, and Sid was sent tumbling across the side of his face, rolling down the fanged flat of his peripheral jaw and onto his cheek. A ball of tension and fear, he dug his slender claws into the tough flesh of the demon's cheek and clung on for dear life, hoping that he was not swatted away or forced to let go. Orsa hissed in annoyance and slung his head about, trying to rid himself of the tick-sized pest, but his savage motions only damaged his cheek further. With his talons firmly embedded in the skin of the world-eater, it wasn't Sid that gave way, but the flesh of Orsa! A long sliver of the devil's flesh came loose, peeling down the giant's face like a bloody bandage. Orsa huffed again, but this time in pain. Sid, anger overtaking his nerves once more, grinned furiously and spat a stream of heated might into the long, vertical wound, his back dancing with burning gasses. Orsa roared as his bare meat was scorched dry, fire and smoke licking up his cheek like a candle's wisp. The molten beam blasted more of the titan's meat loose.
Sid, still attacked to the unraveled rope of skin, repelled down the behemoth on his own flesh, his feet eventually touching the ground and his claws slipping loose.
The length tangle of meat tearing free and he dropped back down to earth, Sid gave the flattened ribbon of tissue a hard flap, bundling its mass near the middle, and unleashed another blast of orange-yellow fury, pelting the tangle of flesh and sending a burning mortar of blackened meat and skin flying towards Orsa's mountainous head...

The hulking form of Orsa was soon struck in the face by his own smoldering flesh and blood, knocking the behemoth's head briefly to the side from the force of the throw. The beast smoked and burned, the electricity and fire taking its toll on him, in addition to his body having been crushed by several million tons of rubble. The beast licked the flesh chunk, and, much to the shock and disgust of those in the arena, wolfed it down! Adding to their horror, the beast seemed to be slowly regenerating from the wounds they had inflicted upon him. Was there any way to prevent this abomination from healing himself and negating the damage they did? Suddenly, Orsa lashed out, the brute raising his feet up and smashing them down onto the ground, causing a massive blast of blackened magic to erupt in all directions. The heroes were forced to scatter to avoid the devastating eruption, before they countered with their own assaults.
But even has the heroes closed in to attack, the apocalyptic beast had his own ideas. With an ear splitting roar, the earth suddenly begin to shift and rumble. Ground cracked, buildings crumbled, fissures opened beneath the heroes' feet. Those that could not fly had trouble keeping themselves rooted to the ground, and some even had to take evasive action to protect against this powerful earthquake. Behemoth tried to his best to combat the beast's powers, using his Geokinesis to stop the shaking of the plates and melding the earth once more, but his efforts were futile- every time he would shift his attention to another section of the city, the part he finished holding together split! And during this time, Orsa was not going to simply stand around and let him protect his comrades.
As Pavoroc, Captain Toxic, Halcitrox, Shinryu, and Mich flew overhead, firing down rainbow beams, lightning, shadowfire, nitrogen bolts and threw objects at the enormous monstrosity, Orsa marched towards the distracted Behemoth, before delivering a walloping strike with his forearm. The unprepared earth god was rocked by the blow, sending stony chunks flying and he was sent hurdling backwards across the ground. As Behemoth attempted to recover, he was suddenly struck by both a fireball and a vibrant red beam of energy, sending the hapless brute sliding across the arena for a long distance. But Orsa's suicidal focus on Behemtoh left him a sitting duck for those who managed to evade the earthquake or could fly, as he was suddenly blasted off his feet by the combined might of the flying heroes' ranged attacks. As the beast was downed, the power of their attacks slowly pushing him across the ground, Mara came lancing towards the beast, before her form shifted into a lightning bolt. The kitsune's form lanced straight through Orsa's body, striking right in the brute's soft arm wound.
The beast unleashed a bellow of rage and pain as its body seized briefly from the electric shocks, as he flipped himself back onto his feet. Enraged. Orsa unleashed another powerful roar, splitting the earth and pushing the warriors fighting him back or off their feet. Suddenly, a meteor shower began to descend from the skies above the flying heroes, striking down Halcitrox and Captain Toxic and forcing the others to take evasive manuevers. Far away from the body of Orsa, the small form of Sid watched and approached the raging abomination. Shinryu soon flew to the furry beast, and stated his mind, as the other heroes attacked Orsa from land and air to hold him off.
Even after all that we have done to him, he still keep going... Shinryu said to Sid. The beast's hide is too thick, and his regeneration too powerful.
"WAIT..." Sid replied. "HIS HIDE'S TOUGH, AND HIS REGEN KEEPS HIM FROM GETTING HURT FROM THE OUTSIDE..."
Sid soon began to march towards the battle, much to the shock of Shinryu. What are you doing?
"EVER HEARD THE STORY OF JONAH AND THE WHALE?" Sid replied, turning his head around, as he broke into a sprint.
Shinryu cursed under his breath, as he rushed after Sid...
As Orsa was attacked from all sides by the other heroes, the hulking brute using all his might to keep them at bay, Sid rapidly rushed towards the hulking brute. He'd need to focus all of his mind on the task at hand... messing this up would be certain death. While Orsa was distracted, Sid shouted:
"HEY, ASSFACE! OVER HERE!"
As Orsa blasted away a lunging Mara with his fiery breath, the massive beast turned his body towards the sound of Sid's voice. Seeing the diminuative hero rushing towards Orsa. The massive brute snarled, and soon began to rush towards Sid, jaws wide open to devour the hero. The other heroes pelted or chased after Orsa, attempting to stop the massive brute, but to no avail. As soon as Orsa came within range, Sid leaped forward into the beast's gaping maw. Acting fast, Sid activated his defensive shield, before the beast swallowed him whole. The heroes were shocked at what happened and immediately began to assault the monstrosity in anger. Orsa fought back with equal ferocity, blasting them with flames and pseudo-big-bangs, forcing the cluster of heroes to scatter.
But this was when things began to change.
Suddenly, Orsa let out a pained grumble, as a brief explosion of light could be seen from within,. The heroes stopped their attacks for a moment, As another explosion of light erupted from within, causing the beast to cry out in pain and stumble onto his side, clawing at himself. Suddenly, a powerful nova beam ripped itself out of Orsa's belly, tearing open the abomination's gut, and sending Sid flying out of the gaping wound, covered in Orsa's blood and guts.
"WELL... THAT WORKED BETTER THAN EXPECTED," Sid said as the other heroes came to his aid. Orsa's body lay limp for a few moments, bleeding profusely form the massive wound. Suddenly, the beast came to life, roaring in pain. The beast rose up onto his hind legs, exposing the massive wound as it sloshed and stretched. The wound on his belly failed to heal; instead, it suddenly began to shift and warp, the wounds' edges bubbling and warping into 'lips', massive fangs tearing themselves free from his hide, as the wound closed and rippled open like a gaping maw. A flurry of tendrils slithered forth from the massive chest mouth, hoping to feast upon the others....

(OOC: Sorry about the holdup, but work has been more of a time sink than usual this week. I should have my attack up no later than midnight this Sunday; if not, feel free to skip my turn.)
Edit: (OOC: And here we go...still more of a rush job than I'd prefer, but, oddit-say.)
---
Orsa writhed and trembled, in even measures of pain and anger. Its innumerable grotesque mouths drooled and gnashed, not least among them being the cavernous mutant maw shaped from the very hole Sid had torn and blasted through its entrails...or those of the ravenous tentacles spawning and slithering from the monstrous cavity. Sid himself, and the other warriors, spotted the bloodthirsty tendrils and immediately prepared themselves, either readying weapons and magic to fight back or searching to and fro for an unobstructed path on which evasive action could be taken...of which there were precious few.
The ravaged cityscape itself seemed to be trembling, all but literally sloughing apart as nature and its laws twisted in defense against Orsa's eldritch energies. Fires raged beyond control, many of them ignited by the ceaseless lightning strikes that raked the sky. The winds shrieked discordantly, their reins pulled by the humongous tornado that appeared to consume the earth and heavens alike. The ground itself shook and ruptured, strained beyond any level the architects of the UCA had likely ever envisioned.
Amidst all the hurried, sporadic motion...amidst all the tremors, all the cacophony, all of this utter chaos...one figure half stood, half hovered still and silent. Claws closed firm. Eyes dim, seemingly unfocused. Seemingly without any heed of the encroaching threat.
Seemingly.
Shinryu's eyes flashed and blazed--and around all the writhing necks of Orsa's tentacles was forged a massive, jagged magical boulder, trapping the devilspawn beyond reach of their prey. Swiftly following this, the serpent opened a riftway beneath the giant weight of stone, sending it dropping into the nothingness between realms and nearly pulling the upright monstrosity off balance.
The beast was not as ignorant as it might have appeared; regaining its footing, its main head turned and its attention fixed immediately and directly upon the source of this obstructive sorcery--
FW-BOOM!!
Too late; a powerful, directed fission stream split the air and struck deep into the warbling maw that now comprised Orsa's midsection. With considerably less of its mass now to hold it firm against the blast's force, the titan staggered and bent nearly double as the Flare blast ripped down its newly formed gullet--and severed the roots of its stone-bound tentacles, leaving the mass free to fall through the depths of the Rift.
Clutching a gargantuan paw to its grotesquely maligned belly, the beast trembled and snarled, seething with overwhelming hatred and fury. Undaunted, Shinryu refocused its power, summoning a rapidly growing Maelstrom...vanishing from Orsa's sight as dust, smoke and debris to numerous to count spun and whirled into the storm. Unimpressed, the abomination reared back upon its hind legs, drew a deep breath and belted forth an earth-shattering roar of such incredible power that the very magic energies powering the twister were blasted into nothingness, dirt and debris and winds all scattering into useless waste. Even the edges of the newly formed riftway rippled under the intense force--
?!
Too late again. The Maelstrom was but a grandiose feint, and from the interdimensional depths came the true strike: the Stone Glare mass. Having fallen far through the Rift, even Orsa's powerful roar could not overcome the velocity of this projectile; the purposely spiked and jagged boulder slammed home into the beast's wide maw, gashing through the less resilient membranes of its mouth to wedge firmly within its throat. Rocked back upon its heels again, the monster clenched and convulsed, trying to vomit the obstruction loose; it pawed and pounded at its own chest and neck, but doing so only worked the edges of the mass deeper into its flesh.
And this was only the beginning; summoning another Maelstrom, this one of smaller scale but equal strength, Shinryu swept up a number of the fires scattered about, weaving their intense heat into the windstorm. It then hovered higher into the air, lifted the firespout free of the ground--and bent the flaming twister to shear down Orsa's throat as well, the furious winds whipping the monstrosity's mandibles wide and stopping them closing against the attack.
Either the sharp-edged rock or the firewhirl alone would have done damage Orsa could not ignore; but now the intense flames superheated the mass, its crags and spikes searing and cauterizing the very wounds they gouged, and the forceful winds drove it deeper and deeper through the beast's vulnerable innards, twisting and carving a gruesome path of damage. The abomination howled and violently shook its head, trying to tear its mouth away from the destructive vortex, beating furiously at its own bulging chest; but Shinryu flexed and twisted the Maelstrom, keeping it fast in place, determined to utterly eviscerate this threat to all of creation...
...Too determined to see that the repeated poundings of its own chest were gradually crushing the Stone Glare mass within Orsa. Or that its stomach maw was now setting to work chewing and crushing, heedless of any further burns or gashes it suffered. Only when it saw the titan deliberately hunch over, appearing to brace itself, did Shinryu sense trouble.
Too late this time for the former god; with an enraged bellow, Orsa threw back its upper body and spewed from its stomach maw a spittle-drenched hail of rocks still glowing hot from the firewhirl. Unable to dodge or dispel its own attack in time, Shinryu was struck square by the vomited projectiles and knocked from the air to the wind-scoured ground, crashing and skidding and tumbling for no short distance as its Maelstrom dissipated.
Snarling and choking - making every effort not to swallow or expose its eyes to the spittle that now coated it, as the damnable substance burned like acid - the serpent rolled and thrashed about in the dirt, trying to scrape and sling the slime free of its body...and to shake off the exhaustion quickly setting in; unleashing so many spells in such quick succession was taking no meager toll on its stamina. And as it struggled to prop itself up on its arms and gather its body beneath it, a distance away it could see the fearsome shape of Orsa begin to take a menacing step forward...
...But the devil's movements slowed and stuttered, and it nearly stumbled over itself as it bent and swayed on its feet, clutching its midsection. The beast heaved and actually seemed to cough, its mouths oozing greater amounts of spittle - and blood - than usual; it was clearly hurt.
Itself wounded and weary, burned almost head to tail with caustic saliva and bleeding from numerous broken scales, Shinryu nonetheless locked eyes with the fiend - towering above it by hundreds of meters even while hunched over - and held itself up on its left arm and tail...keeping its right arm relatively hidden from sight as sparks of electrical power began to ignite between its claws. As Orsa began to take another step forward, spreading its arms and baring both its sets of fangs, the dragon eased its right arm out, focused in on another of the abomination's eyes - opposite the one it had blasted out with Flare in the last battle - and opened its claw to unleash another strike of its lightning...
