The fist monster to arrive was the great Matron of the Earth, Titernia. The burly furry beast slammed down claws-first into the ground, causing sand to kick up. Titernia howled into the air, causing sand to swirl around her like a tornado, creating a sort of veil around her. She was ready to fight, whoever or whatever stood in her way!

A second spear of light split the desert, delivering the next combatant onto the scene. A metallic rattling filled the air as a massive body descended from the brilliant column on leather wings. A broad, swelling shadow was cast across the sandy earth as ragged membranes beat the air back like fans. Raising his glossy, shieldshaped scales to drink in the harsh sunlight from above as well as the wavering heat that billowed up off the sandy dunes below, Quetzar made a glutton of himself on the sweet thermal ambrosia. Strength filling his body, hooked snout to plumed tail tip, the warden of worlds arched his head high and wailed shrilly, his eerie serpent song ringing loud and echoing across the uninterrupted sky. As the last trills of his shout faded into the ocean of silicate and only the busy beat of his wings was left, the Sun Warrior gave a nod to Titernia to show that he would hold no ill will against her no matter the results of this duel. After all, the heroes of the UCA could not afford to hold ire against one another, especially in this time when darkness was gathering together.

A third beam split the few clouds above like the judgment of a god, leaving a towering Beast in its place. Paws halfway buried in sand, Big Mamma Bear scanned the desert, the Fire Master's greenish gaze detailing the rolling dunes. There was definitely no water to bother her here. The bear's gaze then met her opponent's.
"Aaah, Quetzar!" the firebending ursine said, opening her massive arms wide and stepping forward. "I've been lookin' forward to meet ya on the field of battle. See yer fightin' skills fer m'self. Best way to see how one wields their knowledge and power is to meet 'em in battle, eh?"
The scarred and grizzled monster addressed the Sun Serpent a respectful nod, before she placed herself next to her ally. Back turned so that she would block incoming attacks towards her geokinetic friend easier, Kit clenched her fists and reeled one close, the other left almost completely extended. There were no pyrotechnics to accompany the movement like before. Kit was no fool. She knew her foes were also fire monsters. This battle was all about physical prowess and tactics. All about skills. All about spirit! And, as always, the Martial Master's spirit stood tall.

A fourth monster appeared on the barren horizon, reddish brown scales almost blending in with the terrain. Talizan's bright eyes shone upon his foes and ally, casting a warm radiance across their bodies. As he took his place beside Quetzar, his scales burst into an intense color of reddish orange, and translucent spines sprung errect from their folded position, transforming his body into a protective blanket of sharp spikes that blazed with a yellow light of their own.
There was a sharp *CRACK* of his whip like tail. Talizan was ready.

Titernia was all too willing to begin the carnage. With a roar, Titernia summoned up a massive wall of sand, the hellish structure suddenly condensing and warping into a massive spear of sand. Titernia launched the sandy spear at Quetzar, forcing the draconian warrior to evade, as the two dragons split their ways to cut their opponents off. Titernia snarled, a stream of saliva dripping from her gaping jaws, before he rushed towards Quetzar on all fours, her massive claws digging into the sand, kicking up large plumes as she rapidly approached her flying opponent. Titernia roared before slashing her claws, causing a geyser of condensed sand to shoot up right below Quetzar, threatening to impale him! The dragon quickly dodged, breathing fire down upon the structure, quickly causing it to solidify into a spiraling tower of glass. This actually worked to the ursine warrior's advantage, however, as she quickly hopped atop the crumbling glass structure, ignoring the structure as it crumbled beneath her massive bulk, before she lunged at Quetzar, aiming her massive, scythe-liek claws right for his face. As this happened, Quetzar's maw filled with his plasma flames, each prepared to deliver a powerful blow!
Ultimately, their blows fell upon one another, making the assault ultimately fruitless. Quetzar's fiery breath emerged form between his massive jaws and engulfed her chest and face, as Titernia's powerful forearm delivered a punishing blow to the side of his face. Titernia howled in pain as she hurtled back down towards the sandy earth, her visage engulfed in flames, as Quetzar was sent flying to the side form the brutal impact, a large hole punched into his cheek from the sheer force behind Titernia's strike. Titernia was the first to recover, her face trailing smoke and her fur scorched black from the intense heat. as Quetzar attempted to rise, he suddenly found himself engulfed by the very sands he lay upon, sucked under like an ant into an ant-lion's den. Suddenly, he was expelled form his prison, as sand swirled around him like a flurry of knives, slowly flaying his flesh, rubbing of his hide and exposing his muscles below. Titernia smiled most vilely at her actions, when she suddenly saw Talizan approaching her from the side!
Titernia snarled, and turned just in time to see a sun-boosted flare erupt from his maw. Titernia gritted her fangs before she raised up a wall of sand, causing it to turn into glass almost instantly, saving her from Talizan's powerful blast. Titernia roared before she suddenly caused a massive sphere of condensed sand, roughly 40 meters wide and 20 meters tall, to shoot straight towards the dragon! A sickening "crack" filled the air as the sphere made impact with the dragon's chest, caving in scales and drawing blood, the orb shattering clean in two from the powerful blow, as Talizan was sent spiraling down from the sky. He soon crashed headfirst into the sand, a plume of sand and dust obscuring him from everyone's view. But not Titernia's. She was used to these sands... the desert was a place she was well-acquainted with. With a roar, Titernia rushed into the plume of sand, pulling sand all around her before condensing it into a sort of armor to cover her head and shoulders as she prepared to body-slam her foe.

Titernia charged at the blinded Talizan with her head slung down and her maw hung open in a echoing howl, but her path was intercepted by a living comet strike as Quetzar, body aflame, slammed into the sand just in front of her. There was an explosion of fire and molten silicate. Titernia was flung back, her armored skull and torso battered by enough force to strip away the makeshift stone plating. When the lupine guardian of the Earth crashed back down, it was not on a cushioning mass of tiny solids, but in a pool of molten minerals. Titernia shrieked as she sunk into a broad ring of melted glass that encircled where the bright, glowing band of Quetzar's body had impacted. The ursine brute's thick hide and bristly fur was scalded badly before she used her mind to part the thick liquid soup. Her skin glowing bright red and the tips of her crested back and underbelly smoked like cannon fuses. Had the durable champion of Gaia been any less resilient, it would be muscle that pricked and stung under the cascade of sand that tumbled across the desert and not just burnt flesh. But luckily for the she-beast and her partner, her tough hide could withstand such direct contact with molten material, even if just barely.
I would advise you to close your eyes, came the Sun Warrior's voice to the burly bruiser like a whisper in her ear. This could potentially sting.
Between blinks, Quetzar materialized before Titernia and brought his wings together in a fierce clap of wind. Hot air from the serpent's savage aura blasted across Titernia like a thunderclap as the very atmosphere was torn apart by a sonic boom. Though the bearlike monster tried to summon anchors of earth around her feet, the molten soup that surrounded her responded more sluggishly than sand and could not reach its master in time to save her from being ripped off the ground and cast away like a mortal who had offended some god of the winds, and was itself thrown to the heavens, hardening into pointed shards of glass. These crystal javelins whistled through the air, spreading out in all directions like the arrows of a great army. Kitamura brought an arm over her face and angled her body away from the blast of air and glass to protect what her armor could not- her eyes, nostrils, and mouth. Unfortunately, this meant that she could not track the cartwheeling progress of her airborne partner and move out of the way as the other bear crashed into her. Kitamura was thrown to the ground as Titernia lanced into the middle of her mass, skewering her body on the jagged spines that rose from her back like a serrated mountain range. Kitamura struggled to stand as 85,000 tons of kicking, bleeding monster flailed atop her back. The armored warrior's famed blue hide was painted red as zigzagging rivulets of blood flowed through the articulations in her armor like spider webs. The sand beneath the team of monstrous bears quickly flushed darkest red, nearing black in hue.
Like a python of the winds, Quetzar, scales raised and body aglow with fiery heat, slithered through the air and then sand, his burning body turning all solid earth to slag as he wound himself around his collapsed foes. Like a serpent of Earth, the alien wyrm began to squeeze, constricting his coils around the conjoined bodies of the opposing team and crushing them. Titernia received the worse of the ghoulish embrace, her body defiled on one side by red hot scales and fluid slivers of glass that sliced into her skin like hot knives and on the other by the spiky back of her partner. The flesh of the ursine protector was parted as if by broad railroad spikes, spilling her blood only for it to be turned to red vapor by the bursting aurora of the Sun Warrior. Kitamura, though completely resistant to the heat, was placed under the compiled strain of over 100,000 tons of monster, something that even her incredible armor could not endure unharmed. The dual plated protection of the mother bear creaked and groaned as its integrity was rigorously tested, small cracks appeared where Quetzar's coils pressed tightest and small squirts of blood dripping down as her flesh was pinched by the weakening armor.
But the alien bear was not all armor. Like a cat with its hackles raised, the fiery female fighter elevated her scales and pierced the vulnerable belly of Quetzar. The emerald serpent wailed as gaseous bursts of blood erupted from beneath his body, the molten geysers scattering harmlessly across Kitamura's armor. Though her spiny bulk was the very thing that was hurting her partner the most at this moment, at least it could still shield her from the vaporous blood of the timeless serpent. Relinquishing his grip before he was gutted, Quetzar lifted into the air, an orangish cloud of vapor trailing behind him like the payload of a crop duster, though not before he threw down his plumed tail like the lash meant for the back of a mutinous sailor...

With reflexes as fast as lightning, Big Mamma Bear caught the lashing tail in a firm paw. Before the hot vapor could harm her ursine friend, Kitamura's pyrokinetic mind acted. Her fist raised, and the heat was absorbed, concentrating in her hand rather than scattering across her body to avoid burning Titernia. The earthbending warrior pulled herself off of the bear's spiked back with the help of her paws and a stone shovel-like apparatus with her geokinesis. The heat shrouding Kit's fist cooled down, as she turned around to face Talizan. The massive ursine swung Quetzar in one decisive, quick movement, and the serpent clubbed Talizan's back like a baseball bat! The movement filled with energy slammed the two dragons into the ground, the spikiest one's legs giving in under the weight. A surge of pain rushed through Quetzar's body as he was skewered against his ally's spikes, the impact itself having sent a wave of pain travelling down his spine - it was the same thing with Talizan. Unsheathing the Sun Serpent with one quick movement, the master of the flames slammed him against his ally repeatedly!
As soon as Quetzar was removed from Talizan's back, Kitamura dropped down with her elbow raised.
CRACK! emitted Talizan's spine when the kung fu master's elbow hit the base of his skull. A wave of sharp pain traveled throughout his body, radiating from his hurt spine. He was once again crushed against the ground, as the Beast's Chi tore off portions of tissue and muscle attached to his spine. The bear suddenly felt a dull pain between her neck and shoulder, and turned around to see Quetzar shaking his head vigorously in an effort to dig his fangs deeper in her muscles. Kitamura's answer to this was raking her arm against his body. Her sharp armor edges tore off scales and muscle like katanas, as the serpent was sent cartwheeling down, his body opened in a gruesome display. Big Mamma Bear returned her attention to Taizan, the wise blue brute charging like a rocket-powered freight train just as her foe woke up, her plated shoulder and sharp spikes dangerously close to hooking and crushing him...

*CRACK*
Talizan’s tail was a blur as it broke the sound barrier. In mid charge, Kitamura had no way to counter the lightning fast strike as a heavy spiked club slammed into the side of her skull. The whip-like tail had delivered the weapon incredible velocity, and the resulting force was enough to stun the brutal kaiju. Kitamura collapsed to the ground beside Talizan, struggling to regain her senses. In addition to the swelling headache and cracked crown of spikes, the spines from the club had torn terrible gashes into the side of her face, several cutting though the cheek and giving the martial artist a lopsided smile.
Talizan used this opportunity to escape from the larger beast’s melee range. Sand turned to glass as Talizan blasted himself away like a rocket, coming to a stop well away from the stunned Beast. Until he absorbed enough energy to boost his own strength up to match hers, he would be at a disadvantage. His blurring tail swipes were, for now, his best weapon against the burly bear.
Titernia and Quetzar were dueling off in the distance. The slender sun serpent was dodging and weaving between massive pillars of sand blasting up from the ground. A quick growl forming in his throat, Talizan blasted off across the barren landscape once again, streaking towards Titernia like a guided missile.
Jets of golden flames poured out from Talizan’s gullet like the fires of the dragons of old. Titernia was surrounded in a cage of unrelenting heat, and almost immediately her fur began to smoke and curl.
The incredible temperatures quickly overwhelmed the guardian of nature. As the superheated flames set her fur ablaze and slowly melted through her tough hide, Titernia felt agony rip through every inch of her exposed flesh. Her hide was thick, and its resistance to extreme heat prevented the flames from burning deep into her muscles, though that didn’t stop 3rd degree burns of pus and blackened dead flesh from disfiguring her body, in some places burning the surface of exposed muscles.
Near the proximity of the attack, Quetzar was reacting very differently to the heat. He felt his energy rejuvenate as he fed upon the meal of heat. Realizing this, Talizan did what few other teammates in the UCA had done; he turned his attack onto his ally!
But the destructive firepower became a tool of recovery for the Sun Warrior, breathing new life into his body. While it wasn’t able to heal his wounds, the solar power was able to boost his energy, restoring him to peak condition. Talizan and Quetzar had one advantage in this battle: Both shared the same element. They were capable of helping one another, feeding each other a supply of energy to prevent exhaustion. Kitamura and Titernia had brute strength on their side, but the solar duo had unmatched endurance. A sharp pain to his leg caused Talizan to falter. Titernia roared, tusk coated in the reptile’s blood. He responded in kind, fiery jets shooting him forward. Talizan zipped over Titernia’s head, but not before snatching her tail in his claws.
Titernia collapsed into the sand at the sudden force and found herself being dragged across the dunes of sand, towards Kitamura. Talizan released her as they neared, allowing her to slide towards her ally. The move had done no damage to the guardian, and for a moment Titernia wondered what that had been all about.
But the reptile was simply setting her up for a new attack.
Landing on all fours, Talizan hunkered down and fired a solar flare at their feet. The superheated explosive orb turned the sand around it into an ocean of black glass, but exploded into the ground before it could reach the team of bears. The force of the blast however was enough to send a rainstorm of glass spears shooting out in their direction.
Titernia, her tough hide black and bubbling from the burns, received the worst of the assault. Like a volley of arrows, the glass shards impaled themselves into her currently sensitive body, covering the mammal in blood soaked black spines who’s numbers rivaled Kit’s natural ones. Kitamura’s tough armor prevented many of the deadly projectiles from doing harm, but those that did were able to get some leeway past her metal-like muscles – the blast had given the shards incredible velocity. By the time the shard storm had passed, the glass had painted parts of her chest and torso in red.
Talizan’s tail cracked through the air again as he fired a second solar flare, this time aiming for Titernia’s skull…

Titernia groaned in pain as she rose onto her feet, eyes filled with pain and hatred. As the solar flare roared towards Titernia, a geyser of sand suddenly shot up from under her, launching the ursine creature into the air as the powerful blast of light struck the massive geyser instead, destroying it instantly and causing shards of glass to fly in all directions. As Talizan attempted to spy his opponent, he instead found himself to be the victim of a savage attack! Like a meteorite, Titernia slammed down onto Talizan's back claws-first, driving the massive spike-like structures deep into his back! Talizan's body smashed into the sand with incredible power, causing an eruption of sand to blast outwards as the force created a massive crater in the sand! Blood dripped profusely from Talizan's form, as Titernia pulled her massive claws out of his back, causing Talizan to roar in pain. Massive holes had been punched into Talizan's back, the claws managing to puncture muscles and tear straight into his torso. Titernia's paws were stained in Talizan's blood, before she pinned her opponent to the floor with her weight.
Titernia caused the sands to shift and move, as she pulled up the shattered remains of her tower using the sands, the sand holding up the glass shards like ropes. The shards were then suddenly launched at the both Titernia and Talizan. Titernia hopped off at the last second, however, and as Talizan attempted to escape, he soon found himself buried alive under several hundred thousand tons of glass shards and hardened sand, trapping him in an artifical tomb...
Titernia smiled weakly as she hunkered down onto her elbow, the pain from the rain of glass shards catching up to her. The ursine champion had little time to recover, however, as she was struck from the side by a superheated gust of wind, immolating her pelt! Titernia unleashed a harrowing roar as she briefly reared up onto her hind legs, using sand to douse out the flames, small shards of glass falling from her back as the fire was quickly smothered, her back smoking from the attack. Gaia's Champion turned to face quetzar, as the dragon flew overhead and unleashed a plasma flare from his maw. Titernia shifted the sands she stood on to the side, causing the flare to miss and instead turn some of the sand beside her to glass. suddenly, she launched the large chunk of glass at Quetzar using the sand beneath it, the hunk flying at the serpentine dragon like a meteorite. Acting fast, Quetzar dodged to the side, narrowly avoiding getting impaled on the razor-sharp glass meteor. He failed to notice Titernia launch herself as he moved, however, and was suddenly greeted by twin paws delivering a clawed slam to his head! Quetzar's forehead literally split from the impact, flesh shredding apart like tissue paper as magma-like blood narrowly avoided spraying Titernia in the face. Quetzar was slammed into the sandy floor with the force of a meteorite, a massive eruptino of sand and rock launching into the air in the process!
Quetzar groaned in pain, when he was suddenly restrained by tendrils of condensed sand, as Titernia came hurtling towards him, sand gathering around her claws, forming a massive spike, fully prepared to impale him!

Although the ursine guardian of the Earth came thundering for blood, Quetzar brought fire to her instead. Raised all of his glossy, triangular scales in one sleek wave of armored flesh, the tethered serpent vented the full furry of his heart outwards, bathing the desert around him in an inferno of starlight. In a massive sphere all around the alien wyrm, a hundred meters or more from the tips of his flared wings, sand turned to liquid glass instantly and began to flow through the air like water as he beat his ragged membranes. Titernia howled as her hide was reduced to ash by the wrath of the Fist Light, the first star to form in the universe that the serpent hailed from. Her thick skin and tough flesh was resistant to heat, but even that could not hold the heat of a sun at bay. Battered by the infernal winds, the mammalian brute was hurled back and buried in a sea of molten silicate, struggling not to drown as the loose solid tried to flow down her throat and clog her nostrils. Though her paws batted at the surface and her legs kicked furiously underneath, the superheated glass was too thin to support her weight. With a monstrous bellow, the brutish she-beast sank beneath the shimmering waves of molten earth and was trapped in a jagged glacier of glass. For most other beast, Quetzar would have feared that the glass would fill their lungs and claim their lives, but held enough trust in Titernia's tenacity and the strength of her connection with the earth that she could free herself before suffocating. And, if not able to by her own strength, then the UCA would surely release her somehow.
Banking, Quetzar twisted his body towards where his partner laid entombed by the might of Titernia, who was now a prisoner in her own element alongside him. The serpent's burning aurora melted the opaque grave of the buried drake, turning the walls of his tomb to water and letting it slide easily off of his hide. As the glass oozed off of the solar reptile, Quetzar was suddenly clobbered by an immense force from behind, sending him spiraling down to the ground and, although he quickly recovered and swelled back into the sky, many of the scales on his right side were stripped away as he skid across the jagged ridges of sand and glass that stretched out beneath him like a sea. Gaseous blood pouring from his side, Quetzar spun to face Kitamura, who stood ready to face him. The massive Momma Bear was more than a match physically for the Sun Warrior, so he elected to keep his distance and began to beat his wings, sending currents of watery glass spinning through the air as if lake water sucked up by a tornado. The molten current of air and glass pelted the blue monster, but she was unaffected. The heat had no power over her. She was just as much a master of the flame as Quetzar. And the force of the airborne glass was far from enough to compromise her impressive armor. Feeling empowered by the serpent's failure to harm her, Kit began marching forward, plowing through the storm of molten glass like an icebreaker through a floating tundra of ice on the Arctic Ocean. But as the alien bear beast approached the solar hero, she found that her movements were growing sluggish and tiring. A thick gauze of glass was beginning to harden around her, reaching especially deep where her armor plating was segmented. Though Quetzar still pumped his wings fiercely, his scales began to lower- and the result was the drying of the glass that coated Kitamura. Slowly, the blue brute came to a stop- not out of the inability to break the glass, for that would be effortless for her, but out of fear for her safety. Though the glass had not pierces her armor, it reached deep within the cracks and crevices in it. To break the glass now would be to risk tearing through the connective tissues beneath her impenetrable plates. Unfortunately for the mother of Masser and Bergunth, this was a risk that Quetzar would not let her avoid.
Clapping his wings together, the last son of Ayaoni generated a shockwave that slammed into Kit's chest and shattered the glass the seeped beneath her plates!
Kitamura stumbled backwards, her teeth gritted in pain. Though most of the glass fell harmless away, the crystal soup that had filled the gaps in her armor coating now gnashed and ground into her unprotected flesh, rendering it into mulch with every twitch of her muscles. The alien Momma Bear's famous blue plates were stained by jagged, branching stripes of red as the broken glass gnawed away at her flesh like biting gnats. No motion, no movement, would be without pain from now on. Each step the colossal Beast took was a stab of pain straight to her core. Quetzar suddenly rammed his head into the chest of the staggered juggernaut, knocking her backwards and augmenting the damage by twentyfold. Blood flew out like spider webs and painted Quetzar red as danced up into the sky off of Kit's falling form. With a titanic crash, the Martial Master collapsed atop of Titernia's glass prison and shattered it, falling straight through the crystal earth like a lead weight into a river. Though Kit's armor once again spared her from damage, her partner flailed, forced to swim in fragmented glass now rather than molten glass like before. Each futile paddle that the lupine behemoth made opened a dozen new cuts across her charred, blacked hide. The glass was soon smeared by the brutal guardian's blood.
Flying overhead the churning pool of glass, Quetzar opening his jaws and belched out intense flame of orange and gold, trying to reduce the sea of shards to slag and encase both of his opponents in a silicate burial mound...

The monstrous mother, however, guided the flames so that they switched directions. The golden fire was sent flowing upwards like a great fountain of gold, as the armored being rose to a stance. She helped her ally up as well, cooling down the burns and fire on her body. Of course, seeing her ally hurt had made Kit unhappy, and soon she would avenge her. The glass lodged in her body was giving her some pain, if not a very dull one due to her tough build, but she could live with it. It would take more than that to really hinder the fire guardian of Colossus. The master of flame and physical combat turned around to face Talizan, who had just escaped his glass prison with shards still stuck in his body. The reptile faced her as well, taking a running start to pounce - but leaping blindly at a Kung Fu master was never a good idea. Kitamura wheeled her fists rapidly, and the creature found itself falling back into the ground in a crater of his own shape. The impacts struck with terrible thuds and small shockwaves, leaving Kit's spiked fists bloodied and Talizan's chest caved inwards, left gaping wide open. The spiked creature breathed in short, gasping breaths, his limbs shaking and mouth dripping rivers of blood. His ribcage presented torn meat and bones to the outside world.
His suffering at the hands of the Guardian would not stop there, however, as the Martial Master hammered both of her fists on either side of his right knee.
The impact rattled the length of his leg painfully as connective tissues were torn and split. Added to the pain and damage already caused to his chest, Talizan felt nothing but soreness and pain. Bruised and battered, it took a few attempts for him to be able to return to a stance in the first place. Thankfully, his leg still moved, but it was slower and caused hurt. It would calm down, though. A sudden movement caught the Fire Master's attention, and another hint of pain let her know that Quetzar had dug his fangs in her neck, where he had bitten before. While he worsened the wound and drew hot blood, Big Mamma Bear's paw wrapped around his own neck. Ripping the old being from her effortlessly, she caught Quetzar in the grasp of arms bigger than his own body. Her paws first straightened him like a belt, before they bent, and the serpent was twisted like a towel. The excessive force exercised on his body began to tear it open, causing it to leak gas and molten blood as its tissues were split open. When she was done, her opponent had been deformed to look like a broken, torn accordion!
With a swing of her arm, the spiked colossus attempted to scrape her foe against the glass shards on the ground!

Before she could smash Quetzar into the glass, a huge mass of furious heat and scales slammed into her. Talons secured under her chin in milliseconds, and before Kitamura could react she found herself rocketing through the air with him. In surprise, her burly hands loosened just enough for Quetzar to slip free. Talizan’s jet-like wings tore across the air as he directed their path, allowing him to fly into a loop with the helpless Kit. Easily passing Mach 2 by this time, Talizan continued to loop through the air, gaining speed and increasing his grip on his opponent through the sheer velocity. Finally he dived straight down and released Kit, pulling up just before he touched the glass floor below.
Kitamura wasn’t so lucky. She slammed face first into the ground with enough power to shatter the entirety of the glass surface. Sharp stabs of pain raced up her neck and down her spine, and throbbing pain in her head left the Mighty Beast stunned. Slowly, she rose to her feet, teetering dangerously. Now revealed to the world, her face had transformed for the worst under countless angry gashes, dripping red from the countless glass shards embedded in her cheeks, jaws, and skull.
Taking advantage of his enemy’s momentary daze, the gladiodactyle swooped to the ground in front of her. His spines pulled back against his skin, effectively rendering him without spikes, and launched his thin tail into her open jaws and down her throat. Kit gagged. As an instinctive reflex she slammed her powerful jaws onto his tail. Talizan hissed in pain, but he had her where he wanted. In less than a second his translucent spines flicked back up, blazing with burning light. And Kitamura felt rows of long spines stab deep into her vulnerable gullet and the floor of her jaws. She released his long tail to howl in pain, and in that moment the terataur whipped his tail out from her jaws at blinding speeds. The spines sliced into the interior of her throat like a chainsaw, carving bloody wounds as they ripped themselves free. They sliced apart her lower jaw and tongue, gifted her with a newly forked tongue, not unlike that of a snake. Talizan swung down before the Beast could counter, extendable talons sweeping across the back of the Momma Bear’s left ankle. Her leg suddenly giving out temporarily, Kit fell to one knee, hacking up gallons of free flowing blood from her torn jaws. Although the agony in her throat far exceeded the pain in her ankle, the damage done to her foot would affect her stances and speed from now on.
Talizan was once again springing away, blazing eyes searching for Titernia. As he caught sight of the earth guardian, a powerful solar flare erupted from his jaws, streaking towards her…

Titernia's eyes narrowed as she burst forth from her glassy prison, sending shards of glass flying in all directions like a frag grenade. Titernia's head turned barely in time to see Talizan's maw unleash its solar flare at her prone shape! Titernia quickly pulled up several hundred tons in sand to intercept the solar flare, weakening the pwoerful flare, causing what little energy managed to get through the barely scorch her damaged hide. As the solar flare died down, Titernia shattered the glassy wall that had formed and stomped a foot on the ground, causing a massive sandstorm to emerge from the wasteland floor. Within the cloud of sand, a massive visage appeared, similar in structure to her own face. The dreadful visage turned its attention to Talizan, before he pursued him like a hungry predator!
Startled by this, Talizan quickly took off from the ground and accelerated away, as the sandstorm pursued him without remorse. As Talizan attempted to escape, he suddenly found himself swallowed up by the sandstorm, before it promptly collapsed, burying him alive under several million tons of sand! As Talizan struggled to free himself, sand filling his mouth and eyes and risking being crushed to death under the sand, Titernia turned her attention to Quetzar, who circled high overhead like a vulture. Quetzar cried out into the sky as he unleashed a powerful gust of wind, sending shards of glass and molten sand flying at Titernia, buffeting the massive mammal with shrapnel. Titernia snarled as objects bounced off her hide and cut her hide, drawing blood, and some embers causing her hide to smoke. With a powerful roar, Titernia sent several dozen spires of condensed sand up towards Quetzar. The Draconic entity dodged most of them, however, two found their mark, one piercing straight into his chest, and the other scraping along the side of his neck, shearing off a few scales in the process. Qeutzar fell from the impact with one of the spires, causing him to spiral out of control before crashing headfirst into the sand, causing the spear to shatter upon impact, leaving its tip embedded in him.
Titernia wasn't one to show mercy to fallen opponents, however, and bounded towards the downed her like an enraged bear. Titernia roared before she slammed one of her sets of massive, scythe-like claws into Quetzar's form, piercing his hide with the deadly tools, drawing blood and tearing through muscle. Titernia snarled and pulled out the set, blood staining them, as she raised her second set, intent on slashing him across the face....
