A pillar of light lances down from the sky to strike the middle of a broad and decidedly uninhabitted city street, startling only a few birds, insects, and rat-like creatures which flee in the opposite direction at the familiar sound of a monster arriving.
As the light fades, Cerataurus is suddenly visible, hunched over on all fours, wings tucked in, making them look like incredibly long arms tipped with long, sharp claws. She growls and lashes her tail, tearing a jagged hole in a nearby building before leaping up the side of another to gain the high-ground.

Another beam of light sliced down from the sky, before appearing on the other end of the arena. A cloud of dust emerged from all sides of the light beam as a hulking, multi-limbed shape emerged from the source of light. Six massive claws emerge forth form the cloud of dust, before grappling onto nearby buildings, the beast pulling itself forward as its massive legs stomped into the earth. Vishnu's glowing eyes were the first to emerge, before he opened his jaws and unleashed a powerful roar into the skies, raising his claws into the sky before adopting a more aggressive stance. It was time to put this rat in its place...

MONSTERS... FIGHT!

With a roar, Cerataurus explodes into the air, taking the top half of the building she was roosting on with her! Flying high above Vishnu, she drops it on his head.
The collosal crustacean snarls and punches through the wreckage easily in time to get a face-full of Cerataurus' rear-talons, which score the enormous arthropod's face and eyes, dredging a groan of pain and irritation from him as thick blood oozes from the lacerations.
The flying kaiju attempts to gore Vishnu with her stinger, but he isn't having amy of it. He seizes the tail with two of his larger claws, spins once, and releases, sending Cerataurus tumbling into a building.
As he lurches forward to inflict more damage, a piercing ultrasonic cry causes Vishnu to start in surprise and paw at the sides of his head, which feel as though they are about to burst. A fountain of steaming, boiling, toxic liquid streams towards Vishnu out of the cloud of dust and debris generated by Cerataurus' crash....

Vishnu was not one to be fazed by much, even as the acid splattered against his thick shell. Vishnu let out an audible roar of pain as the acid sizzled against his armored carapace softening up his shell as it collided with his chest and arms. However, this did little to stop the behemoth's advance, even as it ate away at his torso, exposing the mammoth crustacean's muscles below. As Cerataurus burst forth from the dust cloud, claws outstretched to strike her behemoth opponent, Vishnu's massive main claws shot out and grappled the bat-like beast around the neck. An audible "crunch" filled the air as the claws that could snap limbs grappled Cerataurus' neck, jagged fang-like protrusions digging into her hide, causing blood to drip profusely from her neck. Cerataurus choked audibly as the claw closed her wind pipe, the bat-like beast clawingly fruitlessly at her much larger opponent's primary weapon.
Hoisting Cerataurus with ease over his head, Vishnu snapped his claw downward, smashing Cerataurus head-first into the hard floor, shattering the street with enough force to create a ripple in the earth, while also causing the windows of several of the buildings to explode from the power generated. The impact dazed Cerataurus, and a vicious gash ran across her temple, spilling more blood onto the crumbled city streets. One of her horns had a single, large crack running along the edge of it, though it remained intact surprisingly.
Cerataurus was brought brief relief as Vishnu relinquished his claw's grip around her neck, only for a heavy foot to crash down full-force onto her chest, knocking what little breath she had left in her while digging his massive claws into her soft belly flesh. Blood ran like a river from the wound as Vishnu tightened his toe's grip on her chest, shredding flesh and tearing muscles in the process. Cerataurus unleashed a harrowing cry of pain as Vishnu's claws ripped her chest as they tightened, but she failed to notice the beast's claws rapidly clacking together, as they began to glow a violent orange hew. The beast prepared to blast the prone Cerataurus with a heat wave generated from his claws...

The heat-wave smashes into Cerataurus, doing absolutely nothing to her..... And causing Vishnu to burst into intense chemical flames!
The massive crustacean squeals in pain as the ignited acid cooks the exposed muscles in his mid-section and burns the rest of his head, chest, and stomach nearly to a crisp. Trying frantically to wipe the liquid flame from his face, as it begins to cook his eyes, Vishnu succeeds only in transfering much of it to said claws.
But Cerataurus isn't out yet. Rising to her feet with a roar of fury and pain, she rams her stinger into Vishnu's exposed and half-cooked stomach muscles as a painfull anchor, then clasps both rear-claws over his shoulder-claws, and, with a few mighty beats of her titanic wings, hoists the burning titan off the ground, flapping higher and higher, then, abruptly, folding in her wings and smashing Vishnu back down into the ground so violently that it creates a crater and puts hairline cracks in a good deal of his back-shell, allowing a thick stream of brackish liquid, his blood, to ooze out and stain the ground. Cerataurus, having kept her hold, hoists him up again, then smashes him down, this time into a 1000 foot-tall, spired building, which crumples under his weight and riddles his cracked shell, which was only damaged further by the second impact, with chunks of reinforced steel beams and the shattered spike of the building's spire.
Vishnu shrieks in pain and attempts to pull himself up and out of the wreckage, just as Cerataurus comes back for another pass. Timing the move carefully, Vishnu backhands the horned flyer with one massive claw just before she reaches him, sending her wheeling to the side and almost knocking her out of the air. Shaking her head, Cerataurus lands on a nearby tower and roars a challenge at Vishnu, who pulls himself free of the crushed tower minus several chunks of his shell.
(Tee hee. Did you forget that that shit is flammable?)

((Rule #1 of fighting: don't rub stuff in people's faces. And no, I didn't forget it was flammable. I did that so you'd have an easier time. )) Vishnu's body was damaged, blood and chunks of carapace staining his body and the structures around him. But Vishnu was not one to be put down for long. His face scarred, Vishnu opened his glowing blue maw, before he thrust his head forward, seemingly for no reason. This confused Cerataurus greatly, before she chortled after several seconds of nothingness... until it suddenly struck. Intense, unimaginable pain racked her frame, as if her very body was rebelling against her! The bat collapsed helplessly to the floor, spasming uncontrollably in the process. Her flesh in her chest and face began to turn purple with internal bleeding, as blood began to drip out from her mouth and nostrils. Her eyes' blood vessels popped. Drool and blood mingled on the city streets as Cerataurus lay helplessly on the streets, Vishnu's scarred and burning form emerging from the rubble, worn down but nonetheless unfazed. This creature had wronged him. She would not live to see next sunrise. As Cerataurus struggled to even move, Vishnu had no such problems. Grasping her by the back of her neck, Vishnu snarled, exposing a row of nasty, shark-like fangs as he flexed his fist-like main claws and his secondary armpit claws. Sharp pains racked Cerataurus' already damaged body, as Vsihnu delivered several vicious snaps and slashes with his armpit claws, tearing off large chunks of flesh and meat from her belly and chest area, causing the excess blood caused by the hemorrhaging to spill out onto the streets, painting the floor red in the process. After Vishnu had ripped up her chest, Vishnu finished her assault with a vicious straight punch to Cerataurus' face, relinquishing his grip simultaneously! The sound of the impact rung through the city, rattling the already damaged surroundings in the process. Cerataurus' face rippled and split, flesh shredding apart from the brutal impact, as Cerataurus' already damaged horn was further damaged, a large shard of it getting broken off in the process. Cerataurus was sent hurtling through the ruined city at near-mach speeds, smashing through several skyscrapers before crashing through one last one, which narrowly avoided crushing the kaiju as it collapsed to the earth below. Cerataurus struggled to rise, her body still aching from Vishnu's electron breath, as the mammoth crustacean burst through a nearby skyscraper, unleashing a powerful roar as he did so. Vishnu approached the recovering form of Cerataurus, raising one of his shoulder claws so he could bring it down upon her. However, this gave her the time she needed to counter attack! Cerataurus lunged forward, jabbing her horns into his now softened chest armor, causing the beast to recoil back in pain, blood dripping from the wound in the process. This merely served to anger Man's Greatest Sin, however, as suddenly, particles began to gather in front of Vishnu, and began to swirl most violently in the process. Not sure what was happening, Cerataurus was caught off guard when the strange "orb" was launched at her with enough force to split the earth in the process! The powerful blast, presumably a magnetic strike, sent Cerataurus flying once more, this time headfirst through another skyscraper. She was not so lucky this time, however, as the massive unnatural structure collapsed right on top of her. Vishnu unleashed an enraged roar, eyes filled with bloodthrist, as Vishnu gathered another orb of magnetic energy and laucnhed it towards the collapsed skyscraper, the blast tearing up earth and collecting particles of the now ravaged city...

The orbs strike, demolishing the rest of the sky-scraper in a shower of rubble. But no death-cry emerges from the ruins. And Cerataurus does not break free. Vishnu rumbles, then takes a cautious step forward, claws snapping in anticipation of either an easy kill or some half-cooked surprise attack attempt. Neither comes.
Growling in annoyance, Vishnu trundles forwards and stabs at the wreckage with one foot, getting no response. The growl rises to a snarl and Vishnu smashes both claws into the rubble and flings it to either side, scooping up greats chunks of the building to reveal.... Absolutely nothing.
The ground shakes for a moment, then suddenly, Vishnu is face-deep in the rubble, Cerataurus clinging to his back, tearing at the cracked shell and then, with a horrible sound of breaking chitin and tearing meat, punching her horns into the middle of Vishnu's back and withdrawing them, releasing twin fountains of blood and gore as they re-emerge from the wound, filling Vishnu's body with her caustic poison. Vishnu roars in surprise and agony and attempts to tear her free only for Cerataurus to bite down on his claw, ripping and tearing and puncturing the shell until the claw is mangled and leaking copious amounts of blood at the same moment it carries a second does of poison through Vishnu's body. The bat could burrow! The damn thing could tunnel through the ground like... Like. Vishnu was enraged and in terrible pain, and the damned thing was still on his back.
Vishnu shrieks his rage and seizes Cerataurus by the neck with another claw, flinging her off of him.... Until Cerataurus' tail snakes out and wraps around that arm, pulling Vishnu off of his feet once again and smashing him into the ground. Cerataurus jerks hard and swings Vishnu up into the air, then back down, blood spattering the sidewalk as he slams face-first into the street with enough force to send massive chunks of concrete and piping flying and expose the earth beneath. Cerataurus continues the movement into a turn, dragging Vishnu through the wreckage of the demolished sky-scraper before coiling and smashing him into the crater formed by her burrowing, dirt, concret, and rubble falling in on Vishnu as he struggles to break the grip of Cerataurus' heavily armored tail.
She moves in, jerks Vishnu into a kneeling position with her powerful tail by the same much-abused claw she picked up him up and swung him around with, and proceeds to grab hold of a chunk of Vishnu's exposed stomach musculature with either clawed wing-hand.... And tear them off! Vishnu howls in pain as the new crater-like wounds in his stomach begin to gush blood. The massive crustacean sags and nearly falls over, catching himself at the last second with one of his bad claws and swinging two other claws at Cerataurus, bowling her over and back and opening two shallow wounds on her shoulders.
But as she comes up, her mouth is open and releasing another blast of toxic, acidic poison straight at Vishnu.....
(Relax. I was teasing. And in that respect, Cerataurus needs no help.
Her armor plates are basically giant ignitjon mechanisms. She can literally shake her tail to start a fire.)

ATTENTION! EXCESSIVE BRUTALITY COMMITTED BY COMBATANT: CERATAURUS!
A sense of dread came over the bat- like kaiju when she heard the ill-omened words. What the hell had she done now? She took off, cutting off her attack as she looked in all directions. No missiles... and no gun from afar, atleast from what she could tell... Maybe it was all in her mind, that she hadn't heard those words. She came back in for a landing... and shrieked as a massive rusty spear-like drill erupted from the ground and sliced into her side, the ancient weapon pushing her onto her side as it withdrew back in, a large gash now in the side of Cerataurus...
(I know you probably hate me, and think I am picking on you, but I only did this ref after discussing it with Danzilla and a few others. The damage you did to Vishnu's claws... you mangled them past use, from what I and Dan could interpret. That is against the rules, and is the primary reason for the reffing. However, there is something else I would like to say. You mention Cerataurus's tail carrying immense strength, and being prehensile, when that is not mentioned at all in the bio. Conjuring up powers for this fight out of the blue is also against the rules, so if you wish to use them in future matches, I recommend adding them in. HOWEVER, for this match, those added on powers will not be in play. Consistency is something we all want. This is again not me picking on you... just doing my job. And Dan posts next)

(No. I bit into one and crunched on it a bit, puncturing the shell and crushing it inwards in the areas where the jaws had the most force. Its structural integrity is still as stable as ever. It's just going to hurt like a bitch to use it, which applies to most other injuries. And the other claw hurts because Cerataurus was jerking Vishnu around by it and smacking him into things with it.
You really thought they were beyond use? Use? Like when Vishnu used it to push his entire fucking bodyweight off the ground later in the same damn post? That kind of use?
So yes, I do hate you for being biased.
No intervention when Vishnu broke my horn, literally to the point of a shard breaking off of it, which is a fucking bone and thus against the damned rules.
You've got me on the tail bit though. I hadn't thought that through.)

(Actually... horn is made of keratin, not bone. So what Vishnu did is allowed... and the horn still works. based off what you wrote for what happened to the claw, there's a difference between crunching off a bit, and mangling it. And yes, I talked it over with IR, the head admin, and he said the chipping of the horn was allowed. Vishnu's mangled claw, on the other hand, sounds like it is wrecked beyond use. so no, I am not being biased. I went this over with IR and the others, and they pushed me to ref this. My apologise, but it is how it is)

((dude, I chipped a fricking shard off. The horn's still primarily intact.
I'll post my actual reply tomorrow, I'm not in the mood today, after this mess.))

(I think you're thinking of scales and claws. Cerataurus is an amphibious reptile. Like dinosaurs such as Ceratosaurus, it's bone, an extension of her skull. And did they really seem that wrecked? Worked well enough to lift Vishnu's entire body off the ground a couple paragraphs later.)
