With the blinding flash of a teleportation beam, Ketos was transported to the location of his next battle. Vision slowly returning after the annoying light half blinded him AGAIN, the sea dragon blinked his crimson eyes, looking upon...
Utter whiteness.
He was in the middle of a vast arctic wasteland, nothing around for miles but tundra and a few ice structures here and there. A vicious wind was tearing at the pale landscape, whipped up the snow in towering drifts. Even for Ketos's keen eyes, it was hard to see more than a few hundred meters before the whirling snow ate up everything. Feet buried in snow and going numb, the dragon growled softly.
"Stupid humans..."
What had happen to the tropical paradise that he'd fought at last time? He liked decent scenery when he fought. There was nothing here but snow and ice! He could certainly take the cold- he was once master of all of Earth's seas, some so cold they froze seasonally- but that didn't mean he liked it. The bland view, the bone-deep chill, snow constantly being blown into his eyes... he hated it all. Well, at least snow and ice could be melted into water.
Steaming water gushing up from his gullet, Ketos loosed a boiling geyser upon the frozen ground at his feet. The superheated blast carved out and filled a pool of warm water. Slipping into his impromptu bath, Ketos soaked himself, only the top of his head above the surface, like a crocodile.
Bubbles churned the water as the dragon growled again. His foe better show up soon, or the water would get cold.

As Ketos sits in his slowly cooling pool, another flash of light heralds the arrival of his opponent. At first, he can’t see anything through the blowing snow. After a few seconds, though, the wind dies down and the snow settles, revealing his opponent standing several hundred meters away. It’s actually not too different from himself in terms of general body shape.
Dragus stares down at his opponent and growls, a cloud of steam coming out of his maw as his hot breath meets the frigid air. He then throws his head back, letting loose a loud roar.

Lips curling distastefully as he spied his foes, Ketos reluctantly pulled himself up out of his pool, claws digging into the loose ground. Eh, it was getting too cool anyway. Rising to his full height with a grunt, the sea dragon was instantly displeased to see his opponent was taller than him by a good bit. He already hated the thing. Idling scratching at an irritating itch on his stomach, the marine monster gave the other beast a good look. Hm... it looked to be little more than a brute. That was a bit of a relief, as he dreaded facing a creature as tricky as his last foe. Purely out of annoyance, of course. The king of the seas knew no fear! Puffing himself up, Ketos gave a great shout.
"ARE YOU READY TO DIE?"
Ketos wasn't sure that Dragus understood the words, but he certainly got the general idea. Lowering his horned head with an angry snort, the massive reptile gave a tremendous roar, and then charged. The whole tundra shook under monstrous footfall, the snow beneath Ketos's feet trembling uncontrollable. Sneering, the Demon of the Deep showed just how unimpressed he was with a gush of boiling water. The pressurized rush of hot water streaked through the frigid air, trained squarely on Dragus. The water blast caught one of his ankles, ripping it up off the ground. Flesh scalded and footing destroyed, the great saurian was sent sprawling into the snow, jaws cracking against a bulge of ice with a sharp crack! Ketos reared back with a boisterous laugh, his whole body shaking jollily. This thing wasn't so tough! Rising to a knee with a dangerous growl, Dragus wiped a bit of blood from his mouth, a few stray drops staining the snow below. His lip twitched noticeably when he put weight on his burnt foot. The scaly giant's mouth cracked open, and the air around it was suddenly distorted by immense heat. A thin wisp of steam rose from the beast's nostrils. Throwing his eyes forward, Dragus fired a crimson column of heat! The thermal beam slammed into Ketos's chest as he chuckled, knocking the laugh right out of him. Fighting to stay upright, the sea dragon was pushed back roughly, feet dragging across the ice. Dropping to a knee when he finally stopped, Ketos gasped, clutching at his chest. The shark-like skin there was burnt and sore, screaming as the wind tore at it. Snarling, the oceanic titan grabbed and handful of snow and slapped it to his chest, its icy coolness soothing. Dragus rose to his feet, eyes locked on Ketos.
The dragon grinned.
With a flash of his eyes and thrust of his free hand, the Tyrant of the Seas sent the water from his pool at Dragus like a roaring waterfall! The wall of water slammed into the great reptile, sweeping him up off the ground. Carried high into the air, Dragus was suspended in midair, floating in a mass of levitating water. With a small snicker, Ketos let his hand- and the water- fall limp. As the airborne body of water became a light drizzle, Dragus plunged towards the ice with a distressed bellow. He landed head-first, horns shattering the tundra and mass sending up a plume of snow. His blood splattered the white landscape with a bit of color. Ketos rushing the downed saurian with an excited roar. Before Dragus could get up, the sea dragon slammed a heavy foot down on his throat, crushing his windpipe. The rest of the reptile's body bucked up in pain, legs kicking and tail lashing.
Holding Dragus firmly down, Ketos prepared to loose another superheated geyser...

As Ketos prepares to fire, Dragus suddenly stops struggling. The white spots along his back flicker and he unleashes a massive surge of electricity, concentrating it in his neck. Ketos’ body goes stiff as his muscles involuntarily contract from the electricity, making him miss his target. The sea dragon nearly topples over as well, but regains motor function just enough to catch himself and merely stumble a few steps. This gives Dragus all the opportunity he needs, though, and the saurian chimera shoots up from the ground and locks his jaws around Ketos’ throat.
Ketos claws at Dragus’ head and neck in an attempt to free himself, but in a display of raw power Dragus does what could best be described as some brutal form of hip throw. He lifts Ketos bodily off the ground using only his grip on the sea dragon’s throat and rotates his body, flipping Ketos over his hip and back and slamming him head-first into the ice, momentum carrying the rest of the dragon’s body up and over before crashing down directly opposite to Dragus.
Standing back up from his bent-over position, Dragus lifts his head and roars. Ketos lays on the shattered ice, stunned and wheezing from having the wind knocked out of him by the throw. Looking back down at his foe, Dragus snarls and fires his heat beam, striking Ketos in the shoulder. The searing beam snaps the sea dragon back to reality, and he cries out in pain. Looking to repay his opponent for earlier, Dragus raises his foot in preparation for stomping on Ketos’ neck.

As the brute's foot went down, Ketos's tail whipped up. Before Dragus could stomp the life out of him, the sea monster's shark-like fin slapped him hard across the face. Dragus cried out in shock and pain, stumbling back as blood dribbled down his shredded skin. Ketos's skin was jagged and rough, made of of billions of tiny, blade-like plates that pointed backwards to streamline his body, again, much like a shark. Rolling toward the other giant, Ketos loosed his geyser breath again. The stream of pressurized water blasted the snowy ground- melting a good amount of ice- and was then dragged up Dragus's body. The sheer force of the jet pummeled the reptile, splitting skin in some instances, and its heat scalded the chimera. As it travelled up his body, Dragus was pushed back by the rush of superheated water, feet working furiously to avoid toppling. Despite his best efforts, the jet finally knocked him over when it engulfed his head, whipping it back painfully. With an outraged bellow, the horned beast fell, landing on his bottom in a way that was far from graceful.
Cursing to himself under his breath, Ketos struggled to get to his feet. Agony radiated out from his open throat, where Dragus had sunk his fangs. Luckily, the sub-zero air numbed the pain some, and the frigid cold actually froze the blood leaking from it, blocking up the wound. With less to worry about, Ketos was able to get up, the leviathan rising hundreds of feet above the tundra.
But Dragus had gotten up sooner.
Lips curling, the saurian monster gazed at Ketos with smoldering eyes. The pale spots of his back flickered, his horns crackling ominously with static. With a sound that mirrored thunder, a jagged bolt of electricity tore from Dragus's horns, spearing the air. The monster-made lightning bolt arced wildly, reaching arms of electricity shooting in every direction. Then it struck Ketos, who snarled in furry. As the electricity spread over his form, the Tyrant of the Seas stiffened, muscles clenching. Half paralyzed and in agony, the dragon dropped to his knees with a groan. Although his body couldn't move at the moment, his mind's reach was untouched. Eyes flashing, Ketos mentally searched for the water created when his geyser blast raked across the ice, grasping it in his hydrokinesis. Willing it to rise from the ground, brow clenching in his concentration, he push it all into a compact sphere. As his body was suddenly freed, his shoulders dropping limply, the ancient creature punched out, launching the ball of water at Dragus like a cannon. Unable to react within the split second it took for the projectile to reach him, the saurian beast was hit directly in the face. The water slugged him hard, exploding into a crimson-hued spray. Rising to his feet with a roar of effort, Ketos closed one hand into a fist savagely, quickly gathering up all the water before it was lost to the freezing embrace of the snow below. He had no control over water once it left its liquid form, so he had to be conservative. And such intricate work was not his specialty. He was used to working in the ocean, where water was more than abundant. His sphere of water- plus a bit of Dragus's blood- recovered, Ketos raised his clenched fist. The ball of water did the same. Moving it directly over his chimeric foe, the dragon gave a small grin in anticipation.
With a might roar, the Demon of the Deep brought his fist- and the mass of water- down like a hammer...

As the sphere of water shoots down toward Dragus, the saurian quickly fires off his heat beam at it. The ensuing collision results in an explosion of steam which quickly engulfs Dragus, concealing him from view. Ketos snarls, less than pleased at not being able to see his foe. After a few seconds of silence, a red beam suddenly pierces through the cloud and slams into the dragon’s chest, making him screech in pain as it scorches his flesh. A moment later, Dragus emerges from the cloud, thundering toward Ketos at top speed, splintering ice under each heavy footfall.
Reacting quickly, Ketos fires off a stream of water. Dragus counters with his beam. There’s another explosion of steam as the two collide. Once again Ketos finds himself unable to see his foe, but unlike last time there is no delay. Dragus explodes out of the cloud, having not been slowed in the slightest, and slams into Ketos, digging his claws into the sea monster’s sides. The two monsters hit the ice with a crash, Dragus on top. The chimera roars and goes for another bite to his foe’s injured neck, only to be met with a blast of scalding steam to the eyes. Now it’s Dragus’ turn to be blinded as he howls in pain, quickly getting off Ketos and stumbling back, shaking his head furiously in an attempt to rid himself of the pain.
In a panic, Dragus lashes out with his electrical bolts. He gets lucky and nails Ketos, who by this time has risen to his feet, dropping the dragon once again. Ketos’ roar of pain lets him know his attack found its mark and, through his still-blurry vision, Dragus tries to buy himself some more time to recover by firing his heat beam at the downed sea monster.

Unable to counter or avoid the incoming ray, Ketos thought fast and thrashed wildly, throwing up as much snow as he could with his claws and tail. As Dragus's heat beam tore through the snow, it was melted instantly. The searing blast slammed into Ketos's gut, blowing him back across the ice, and the sea dragon threw his arms forward and bellowed out in a booming voice that held all the venom of a thousand serpents.
"Take this, you pathetic imitation of the mighty dragon race!"
The water in the air exploded forward, forming into tight, liquid 'bullets'. The high-velocity projectiles struck Dragus in a blink of the eye, punching straight through his thick hide. The chimera's beam ceased with a strained bark. Both great reptiles howled in pain. Ketos rolled clumsily arose the tundra, midsection blackened and flaking. Dragus stumbled, bloody water draining from numerous holes in his body. With a low moan, Ketos slowly rose to his feet, eyes narrowed in fury. Did this mongrel dare defy him! He was the all that remained of the dragons, the latest and greatest of a noble and powerful race! This, this scum was simple a mutt compared to him! If he would not back down, he would die!
Eyes blazing like evil torches, Ketos rose one clawed foor high into the air. Sneering, he called out again, his voice ripping from his throat like a bark.
"PERISH!"
The Demon of the Deep slammed his heavy foot down, cratering the ice. Far below the two bickering monsters something stirred. Back on Earth, Ketos had battled other giants, one of which he held a particular loathing for. This beast- known as Spars, the Earth's Warrior- was fond of a certain technique he made his own. Using his control of heat, the armored titan would summon a blast of scalding steam from the bowels of the Earth, like a geyser. Sensing an entire sea of water deep under the tundra, Ketos was positive he could recreate this attack, just with the far superior power of water. His guess was justified as the ice groaned and creaked. With one last push, a massive surge of water burst from the icy ground, engulfing Dragus with a deafening roar. The reptilian goliath was thrown high into the air, water battering and pummeling him without mercy. As the flow stopped, he paused momentarily as he reached the peak of his unwilling launch. In that time, he roared, letting a mix of agony and outrage escape his jaws.
Then, thousnads of feet above the ice below, he plunged.
Laughing in sadistic glee, Ketos rushed forward, intent of intercepting the falling giant. With a swing of his tail, the Tyrant of the Seas swatted Dragus like a common pest, shark skin slicing the reptile's side to ribbons. With a wail and a spray of hot blood, the chimera sailed away, hitting the ground with a pained grunt.
Ketos chased after the tumbling figure again, feet both chilled by the snow and warmed by the crimson life essence warming it. Closing in on the screaming reptile, Ketos thrust his shoulder and arm forward, trying to smash his full mass into Dragus...

...I typed my post days ago then totally forgot to post it. Sorry about that.
----------
Ketos smashes into Dragus, and the two titans tumble across the ice in a twisted, snarling mass of snapping jaws and raking claws. After several seconds, the spots on Dragus’ back flicker with that glow that Ketos has become quite familiar with by now, and a pulse of electricity surges through his body and into his opponent. The sea dragon roars in pain as his muscles spasm.
Dragus quickly gets to his feet and, with a deafening roar, delivers a powerful kick to Ketos’ gut. The sea monster hacks up a gout of blood as he’s sent flying a few hundred meters before crashing down on the ice, bouncing once, and finally rolling to a stop. With Ketos laying on the ice, coughing up more blood, Dragus roars again and fires his heat beam.

Spying the searing beam closing in, Ketos refused to let himself be bested. Rolling to a kneeling position with a roar that shook heaven and earth, the great dragon curled his claws into fists, and then slammed both down into the frozen ground. Far below the tundra, water was drawn up, a huge bulge rising up in the icy sea. This massive upward motion cracked and crushed the ice in front of Ketos, pushing up a jagged heap of it with a towering spray of water. Dragus's heat beam struck this wall of ice with a loud hiss, loosing all its energy in a billow of steam before it could eat all the way through. Enraged, Dragus snorted, eyes narrowing. He challenged his foe to come out and face him head-on with a tremendous roar.
Ketos curled his lips. "Pitiful mutt..."
Pushing forward with both arms, Ketos sent the mass of seawater under his will forward. The surge of water created a wave of shattering ice, as if something that dwarfed both combatants was burrowing through the tundra. Dragus froze when he saw this, face tightening in concern. In this precious moment, a chance to escape was lost, and the incoming rush of ice and water smashed into him like a jumbo-sized train. A piercing bellow of pain could barely be heard over the deafening crash, Dragus hammered mercilessly by the barrage of ice. As the frozen debris exploded across the saurian beast's form, hot blood splattered the snow banks. Bowled over in an instant, Dragus was ground across the chilled landscape, leaving a crimson trail in his wake. The brute had no time to even attempt rising to his feet before he was roughly wanked up, suddenly finding himself face to face with Ketos. The sea monster was sneering at him, eyes smug and taunting. Dragus growled dangerously. A heat beam to the face would get rid of the dragon's smirk! Preparing to loose another blast of burning energy, the chimeric titan returned Ketos's gaze.
That was a mistake.
As soon as he locked onto the dragon's blowing orbs, Dragus suddenly felt drowsy, his limbs going limp and his head lolling to the side. Although his body wasn't responding, his mind was roaring. What was this? Grinning nastily, Ketos drew back a clawed hand and took a vicious swipe at the helpless beast. The Tyrant of the Seas delivered a powerful blow to Dragus's head, talons tearing into his neck and cheek. Ripped back to reality by the blow, Dragus's head was whipped back, blood flying from the side of his face shredded by Ketos's claws. As the dragon prepared to sock the reptile again, Dragus funneled all his agony and anger into his electric organs, the spots on his backs flickering to life. Before Ketos could land his second blow, a powerful surge of electricity tore from his victim's body, the jolting blast jumping into his body like lightning. Dropping Dragus and stumbling back with a sharp cry of pain, the marine ruler almost toppled. In the few second he had to recover, Dragus leapt to his feet and rushed Ketos with a bloodthirsty howl, jaws slavering.
Seeing his opponent quickly closing the distance Ketos roared in outrage. "DIE INSOLENT FILTH!"
The Demon of the Deep lashed out with a kick, foot meeting Dragus's knee in a flash. To prevent himself from being crippled, Dragus let his legs buckled, screaming out in pain as he fell. With his foe down for the moment, Ketos wheeled around, heavy tail whipping out to slug Dragus again...

The tail connects with Dragus’ shoulder, Ketos’ shark-like skin scraping his flesh like sandpaper and making him roar in pain. The chimera recovers quickly, though, and unleashes more bolts from his horns. Now it’s Ketos’ turn to cry out in pain as he topples, managing to curse Dragus once his muscles start to relax.
“Goddammit! Would you STOP DOING THAT!”
Dragus merely answers with a snarl, stomping forward and glaring down at Ketos. With a roar, he shoots his head down and slams his jaws shut on Ketos’ neck. He lifts his foe up, then quickly slams the sea monster back down on the ice in what shall forever be known as a Tyrannosaur Chokeslam.
With Ketos still reeling from the slam, Dragus lifts the monster up again. However, instead of going for another slam, he merely holds his opponent, a low growl escaping his clenched jaws. A red glow shines out from the open space between Ketos’ neck and the corners of Dragus’ jaws. A moment later the heat beam discharges, blasting the sea monster out of Dragus’ jaws. The dragon tumbles across the ice a few times before coming to a stop, howling and writhing in pain at the smoking, blackened patch which now covers basically the entire front of his neck and even stretches around to the sides somewhat.
With his opponent distracted by pain, Dragus stomps forward, claws and teeth ready to tear into the Tyrant of the Seas once again.

Ketos was crushed under Dragus's girth as the chimeric titan falls upon him, the ice groaning in distress under the weight of the two giants. The dragon roars his outrage as the larger monster slashed at his side with its claws and fangs, spilling waves of blood onto the tundra. Although he thrashed powerfully, finned tail beating the ice with shattering blows, he simply couldn't dislodge Dragus from his bloody perch. The ancient beast's face twisted up in fury, lips curling and eyes narrowing to deadly crimson chips. Managing to wrench and arm free, Ketos pressed it firmly against his foe's face, blocking his eyes.
"Bleed like the swine you are!"
With a vicious snarl, the Demon of the Deep ground his bladed skin across Dragus's flesh, shredding the reptile's snout and brow! With a high scream, the juggernaut fell from atop Ketos, pawing at his raw, bleeding face. Rolling to his feet with a loud growl, Ketos spoke again, voice little more than a hiss.
"So you like the way of tooth and talon then?" There was low, dangerous tone to the question, a chilling change from the dragon usually loud, boastful calls. "Then two can play at that game, you STUPID BRUTE!"
Words becoming a bestial bellow, Ketos pounced, claws stretching out. He slapped Dragus hard across the face, claws digging into the chimera's scalp. In the same motion, he kicked out, driving a foot deep into the reptile's gut and knocking him back roughly. And to finish it off, he wheeled around and lashed out with his mighty tail, slamming Dragus down into the frozen ground, blood staining the cracking ice. Turning back to face his fallen foe, Ketos spied the distinct flickering of Dragus's spots. He knew what that meant, and it wasn't happening.
With a guttural snarl, the Tyrant of the Seas loosed his pressurized breath, basting Dragus with superheated water!
Concentration broken before he could unleash the shock forming in his body, the great saurian was pushed back, sliding across the ice with little resistance. Dragus was only able to flail his limbs and voice his anger as he jetted along the ice, being battered and scalded by the brutal surge of water. Fortunately, the ride didn't last long. Unfortunately, it ended by crashing headfirst into a tall, spiraling ice structure. Dragus barked out in pain, seeing stars. Twin spikes of pain shot into his brain, his horns pressed into his cranium from the blow. The frozen spire teetered a bit, but still stood strong, base thick and solid.
Hoping to remedy that, Ketos fired another boiling geyser, planning to toppled the tower of ice onto Dragus...

Dragus shakes his head, clearing the cobwebs. He hears a loud groan and looks up... just in time to see the ice tower fall. Before he can do anything more than squeal in surprise, Dragus is flattened under a pillar of ice as large as himself.
Ketos waits several seconds as the cloud of ice and mist settles, waiting for movement from his foe. When there is none, the sea dragon advances, claws flexing and lips curled in a snarl.
“As I thought. A pathetic imitation could never measure up to the real thing.”
Stopping just short of Dragus, Ketos glares down at his pinned opponent. He raises his foot, ready to bring it down on the chimera’s skull.
“Time to end this, mutt.”
Suddenly, Dragus’ eyes snap open and he begins to lift the ice pillar up. Ketos stumbles back in surprise as Dragus rises and shifts his grip on the tower before swinging it like a giant baseball bat. The sea monster’s eyes grow wide in the instant it takes for the pillar to connect with his skull. Blood splatters on the tower and sprays through the air as Ketos is sent flying sideways.
As his opponent crashes down several hundred meters away, Dragus begins slowly walking toward the Tyrant, dragging his makeshift bludgeon with him. While he does indeed much prefer the direct approach in battle, Dragus is more than capable of being tactical when the situation calls for it. Ketos paid dearly for underestimating his intelligence.
With Ketos laying motionless on the ice, utterly unconscious and with a pool of blood slowly expanding around his head, Dragus fires his heat beam. The sea monster is ripped back to consciousness by the searing beam sweeping across his torso, making him roar and thrash in pain.
By this time, Dragus has reached his foe. With a grunt of effort, he hefts the ice pillar over his head and, with a roar, smashes it down on Ketos’ side. Ketos is literally driven into the ice by the blow, and the tower shatters from the impact. With his opponent stuck in a hole and wheezing for every breath, the familiar flicker returns to the spots on Dragus’ back...
