Soundwave / Parakappa Designate 909vs. AkantorMH / Vorion the TerribleRef: Arena: alien-style Cityscape _____________________________________________ okay, so IR said that all buildings of the city don't have to be the same rectangles, so here's a fresh style of city to fight in. (directions are calculated with the standard that a monster is in the center of the city and facing forward. So the "beginning" or the "front" of the city is a distance away behind the monster, the "back" or "end" of the city is in the direction the monster is facing/looking, the "right" side of the city is away from the right side of a monster, and the "left" side of the city is in the direction of the monster's left.)Monsters cannot exit the city so as such, the edges of the city have an invisible barrier that cannot be penetrated and is a regular/harmless barrier that causes no harm/damage when touched; an example of a harmful barrier (and one that most people are familiar with) is a shock barrier, which causes electrocution when [physical] contact is made). _____________________________________________ Types of Buildings in this City onetwo (I'll refer to the structure in the picture that's on the left side (of the picture) as "a bulky building", so when I use that term, you'll know what [type of building] I'm talking about) threefour-------- * Commonly found throughout this city are these style of spires, some located by buildings or at the center of building clusters. -------- * There are some 100-200 meters tall and 10-20 meters thick poles with these ornaments attached to the tips at the top, said structures can be removed from the ground to be used as clubs. -------- * There are these types of placements sparingly put along the city's right side edge; situated atop the slightly raised base are an arrangement of 5 missile-like structures (exactly like the pic) or whatever you want to call them. Each structure is approximately 150 meters tall. -------- * In the very back of the city are these " mountainous peaks" that are about 400 meters tall. While their surface looks like stone, it's not really rock. It is a synthetic alloy that just has the color, density, and texture (jagged, rough) of stone. -------- * Found throughout the left side of the city are these pyramids; along the very edge as well as some distance from the edge. They range from a mere 250-300+ meters tall, to 1,000-1,500+ meters tall. -------- Sound good? Intro: The Parakappas drop off Rhyvox in a city environment provided by the UCA, but the city is not the only thing they're providing. Rhyvox is deployed to engage in a match against one of the UCA's own kaiju.

ooc: ..mkay then..
---------
One moment he was walking around the hub, the next, Vorion found himself transported with a beam of light and now... in a city? He seen cities before, but none like this. Though in a way, it was somewhat familiar with the Pyramids... But that didn't subside his irritation for being thrown around wherever these people wanted him to go. AND he was hungry again! Just great. Where was something to eat at?

With respect to Hayes, I commence the skirmish.
The creature with the chimeric body part belonging to the species famous for being a deadly predator of the seas locks his gaze on Vorion, but the blue biped making eye contact first just two seconds earlier. Rhyvox beckons his opponent to approach, requests his presence to begin the match, begin the fun, but Vorion, being his bratty self, answers the extraterrestrial chimera by lifting an arm and waving his fingers towards his self, subsequently flipping Rhyvox off afterwards. Rhyvox takes on an expression of surprise, not exactly expecting that from the tall ogre. Rhyvox gets the vibe from his sapphire brawler-"friend" that its used to getting its own way. Rhyvox gets a thought; Let's break that chain... The chimeric bruiser making a pun with the thought possibly intentionally. Rhyvox rears his arm back, poised to make a punch, to which Vorion the Terrible bursts into laughter. In his arrogance, Vorion does not ponder the possibilities, leading to obliviousness to the next act's occurrence. Rhyvox powers his arm forward, and the clenched fist detaches from the base. The fist speeds forwards, breaking through the air, dragging along a chain behind it. The fist crashes into Vorion's head, square in the face; afterwards, it retracts back, but not leaving without a souvenir. The sentient appendage applies an iron grip to Vorion's left shoulder, dragging the ogre backwards. Rhyvox angles his limb so that Vorion drags along the ground, digging a ravine in the concrete. It takes seconds to retrieve Vorion, but once he comes to a stop, The Terrible quickly rises and unveils a most sour expression on his face. Clearly, he's not used to being one-up'd, but he is ready to get revenge. Vorion clenches a fist and keeps an electric current flowing, and delivers a sturdy kidney punch to Rhyvox's left flank. As soon as the appendage makes contact, the electricity transfers from The Terrible to Rhyvox's side, further exploiting an already sensitive area. Rhyvox loses his balance and falls onto his back, Vorion's point made.
With Rhyvox recoiling from the debilitating attack, Vorion has time to wipe the blood from his face that thinly trails out of an array of puncture wounds. It especially stings when he runs his hand across the bruised points from the augmented sucker punch, but he's too focused on getting the sharp shards of rubble from out of his eyes. As Rhyvox gets up, Vorion has removed not all, but enough of the shards to function and fight with the Parakappa's second bruiser. Lucky for the bully, Rhyvox's knuckle-spikes didn't make contact during the hit. Rhyvox activates his saw weapon before spinning around and cutting into Vorion's right knee in just a second. The sudden burst of pain that explodes from the cut deep enough that it scraped the kneecap is so overwhelming, that Vorion cannot help but fall on that wounded knee. It just buckles. Before Vorion can respond, Specimen 909 clubs the side of Vorion's head with the thorny left gauntlet. The appendage hits hard, piercing flesh and even breaking through the skull a small depth, but not enough to shed brain matter or perform anything life-threatening. It took the UCA observers some moments to consider whether to punish Rhyvox or not for that attack, but they concluded that it was a legal action. Vorion presses his hand to the left side of his head to try and stop the bleeding. His incisions ache incredibly, which distracts him, along with the blurred vision- a gift from the strong blow to the cranium. With hacksaw revved, Rhyvox rears around once more to perform surgery, except this time, the target is Vorion's wide open chest...

Rhyvox swung his buzzsaw tail around and aimed perfectly. However he forgot one thing... Vorion had very hard skin. The blade contacted and began sparking against the skin like a chainsaw against a slab of obsidian stone. It was cutting, but slowly.
Too slowly.
Reaching up and grabbing the tail at the base and yanked it off before it could go much deeper. Now... compared to dragons, Vorion had one hell of a temper. It was very dragon-like to simply be stated. That said, his blood was boiling! He took the monsters own tail saw and turned it on its owner, stiraght down into the hip of the weapon! The pain was excruciating! It sliced through his own muscles, virtually severing most of the good tendons that connected that leg to work it perfectly.
Pulling away, Rhyvox stumbled due to a severe injury. Before he could get for or turn around, Vorion leaps into the air! Wam! he landed directly upon the bio-weapon and buried his teeth deep into the neck area and tears ribbons off flesh right off, leaving a nasty gash upon the monster.
Vorion swallowed, gulping the taste bits... or not so tasty. Rhyvox tasted about as good as an old and nasty piece of human meat mixed with fish, with a hint of oil. It wasn't very desirable. That didn't stop him from biting again, though! Before he could rip out more, though, Rhyvox had reached back and slammed his left fist right into his face. The spiny weapon hit hard, making Vorion tumble back off his smaller opponent as he held his face which stung with pain. Rhyvox turned, the long whip on the left arm coming out and swung at the creature. It landed across Vorion's back, armored and all. It dug into the shell slightly and into the fur on the edges... as he ripped back, sparks few and hair ripped, making him shriek in pain.
But now his attention was back onto him Rhyvox. Pulling his head back, he opened his maw and spat out a wave of strange, alien fire right at the alien creature to burn him.

Forgot about the hard skin, aka. With that in mind, I hope I didn't downplay Vorion's thickness when I pierced the side of the head with the spike gauntlet, though they are built to penetrate tough surfaces. I'm gonna keep in mind the skin for the future, and touche countering my 4th attack ;3
Rhyvox brings around Stormweaver like his life depends on it, and lets the flaming substance coat the blade. The blade begins sparking like Vorion's conductive body, canceling out the spew with the extraterrestrial electricity. Rhyvox steps back to put a dollop of distance between himself and the spiteful cerulean biped; his walk was odd enough, but thanks to his doomsaw being turned on his thigh, it's even more unusual. Vorion has a good laugh about the walk. Rhyvox commands his sentient fist forward, grabbing Vorion around the throat. Before bringing him into the air, Parakappa Specimen 909 squeezes tight. Now, Vorion soars through the air, being sent in an arc above Rhyvox. The Terrible is choke slammed into a bulky building, the momentum of the slam sending tremors throughout the ogre's body. After Vorion has eaten building, Rhyvox amplifies the squeeze; at this stage in his combo attack, the chimera chokes his opponent. Vorion's hands are placed on the fist and trying to pry it open, but the total sentience of the limb knows no limits like a living organism would. The brutal gorilla side of Rhyvox puts him in a state of brutality and lack of thought, or else he would retract before Vorion the Terrible could do the following...
With mittens still against the fist, as he's at risk of passing out from suffocation, Vorion summons a spark that channels through the connecting chain and into Rhyvox's body. The alloy conducts the electricity, making sparks fly from crisping flesh that meets the mechanical forearm. It takes Rhyvox just a second to snap out of his state and rip the appendage out of Vorion's rageful reach. The fist clicks back into place, back into the metal that is decorated by scorch marks from charred iron. Vorion gets up, with one hell of a bruise around his throat. It's a deep, royal purple color, and throbs as painfully as the affliction looks. Vorion coughs up blood carrying dust and structure particles, with minute bone fragments once he's on his feet.
This match is proving plentiful for the Parakappas occupying their Carrier Variant Ship, studying the match. They notice that Rhyvox sometimes succumbs to the more primal part of his brain, courtesy of the gorilla piece to his chimeric body. It's a double edge sword, too, because the brutality is apparent as a bad thing for Rhyvox's enemies, but it also leaves him open for certain attacks that his shark cunning could otherwise avoid through formulation.
Vorion approaches Rhyvox with a quick pace, expecting no interference with how impulsive Rhyvox has been, but the shark's cunning is back at the pilot's seat as far as the chimera is concerned. Rhyvox swings his fist towards the left when the time is right, clothes-lining Vorion with the dead weight hitting his bruised neck hard. Vorion performs a backwards flip in the air, landing on his knees and falling forward. The Terrible Ogre's throat detonates like an ordinance with overwhelming pain. Additional blood projects out of the fanged cavern, onto the street. The strength of the strike to the throat delivers momentary breathing difficulties to that blue roughian. Until he adjusts to the pungent pain in his leg, Rhyvox must rely on making his sparring partner come to him like this. On the bright side, Rhyvox is close to being adjusted to the feeling in his leg. Now, Vorion gets to his feet, his temper in the red. It doesn't help that Rhyvox launches a payload of 18 small missiles, 9 from each pod. Individually, they deal minor damage, but when grouped together, they are an effective choice for the offensive. It also helps that Rhyvox has targeted the open maw of his brat opponent, and the bruised spot of the connection to the head and body. The missiles produce a warm cloud of steam as group by group explode on impact. Purple flesh and blood are thrown outwards, with a spike in pain occurring. Inside the mouth, the gums are burned all over, leading to a couple of fangs being dislodged by explosions. The entire inner mouth is cut up and scorched, the taste of ash being overpowered by the taste of blood as torrents gather in the mouth and drip down the closed lips. Vorion spits a mixture of teeth, dislodged meat, and especially blood. His rage is too great to acknowledge the mass amounts of pain in the afflicted areas. Vorion has been paid back in full- with interest.
With his turn ending, Rhyvox makes one more attempt at hurting his opponent. The Parakappa's chimera throws his extended whip out, wrapping it around the left knee of The Terrible. With the teeth dug in deep, Rhyvox rips back, intent on ripping his whip's saw teeth through the unprotected appendage and eviscerate muscle and tendons alike...

Vorion fell backward as his leg was pulled from under him. He fell onto his side in the end, but already he was pushing himself up. Even with the join of his leg torn up somewhat, he was still a fighter in the end.
As he got up, Rhyvox was baring down with that dreadful metal fist again. This time however, Vorion was not going to just sit there and take it. As it came, he whirled on it, his own fist coming up coming around. Both hands collided with immense force, making a loud crunching noise... but not from bone breaking. Rhyvox's metal fist was dented inward! The middle finger was bent beyond usage, the two next to that just barley operated and overall mangling the weapon to a great extent. That was the issue with metal... Metal does not break and fracture such as bones and rock do. Even if it was near indestructible, it would bend and give way under sufficient force. In this case, it was comparable to steel being bashed with obsidian rock.
This made Rhyvox recoil in what would appear to be pain... though it wasn't. If anything was hurt, it was his pride. He liked that fist! He bashed things with it! Now how was he going to break things?! Well, he still could... but it was so damaged! As if that was not insulting enough, Vorion, despite having bruised knuckles, was audibly laughing. Not like a human laugh, but a series of hoots and hollers that sounded similar. Glaring at the Ogresaurus, Rhyvox shrieked at him and threw out his fist like a projectile. Despite laughing off his ass, Vorion ducked to the side and lunged forward!
Both monsters went tumbling back, with Vorion ontop and slamming his armored forehead straight into the aliens with great force. That block cracked loud and sent Rhyvox into a daze, long enough for Vorion to dig in his claws around each "Hammer" on the monsters head... lift him up over h is head... and slam him head down straight into an alien building, effectively demolishing it, and leaving poor Rhyvox with plenty of wounds on his body.
Seeing that saw tail flail down lazily, he grasped it just at the base before it could become any sort of problem. He knew better after the first time or so. Now he pulled on it, attempt to drag Rhyvox around and send him sailing off into that massive alien building way, way way, waaaaaaaaay over there in the distance of about half a mile...

As Vorion twirled around to build up momentum to harm his foe, the saw tool whirls to life. Vorion smirks because his hands were positioned around, so the tool can do nothing against him! Rhyvox proves the theory wrong as the doomsaw weapon launches from its base and buries itself in Vorion's right breast. Vorion screeches in pain and lets go of Rhyvox too soon, but that does not stop the Parakappa bioweapon from crashing through a building and coming to a hard stop on the ground. Rhyvox shakes his head as he gets up, sore from the battering he just took, but thanks to his muscular stature, dealing with being battered is easier than the typical kaiju, just like Vorion's temper does for him. Behind the unusual kaiju specimen, Vorion painfully rips out the tool. Despite his armored defense, the doomsaw is meant to do that kind of damage when launched, even to hardened armor like that. Without the item to block blood flow, blood trickles down the belly of the beast, each stream acting like they're in a race with the others. If Vorion could respect an opponent, this would be one. The chest's affliction continuously spreads that sharp, uncomfortable pain that is typical with cuts. Vorion looks up from examining the wound with a fire in his eyes and a most sour expression. Rhyvox can predict what his foe is about to do next.
As expected, the Ogresaurus charges in blindly, non-soothable rage behind the "cockpit" (so to speak). However, instead of acting with an iron fist, Rhyvox commands his sizable turret to lift up from its offline position of pointing down. Taking aim, Rhyvox fires three shots for measure. The first strikes the ground next to Vorion the Terrible's foot, cracking the pavement open. The second mortar-like bullet misses its mark, just like the former. Third time proves a charm as the final shot breaks open the right knee's flesh covering with the explosion of the ammunition. Vorion naturally trips up and falls on his shoulder. The shoulder receives some scrapes and minor bruising, lightly sore from absorbing all of the impact, but the knee is a different story; blood has pooled against the cold street just under the knee, its source is from inside the limb. The scene of blood trickling from the open wound is like an island's waterfall. Steaming hot articles of shrapnel have embedded through the kneecap, and overall, the leg feels sluggish compared to full optimal capacity. Still, the Ogresaurus gets to his feet, powering through the painful torrent within his appendage with sheer rage that is natural for the bully. This time, it's Rhyvox's turn to approach.
Rhyvox runs across the street, pulling himself along with his damaged fist akin to half his makeup, the gorilla. Once he lands on his feet face-to-face with The Terrible, the Parakappa experiment brings his tightly-clenched fist forward to deliver a right hook into the left side, packing enough force that Vorion feels his kidney lightly quake. Vorion's corresponding side goes numb for a moment, resulting in him falling onto his left knee, leaving the right leg to sustain the brute's body mass. The feat at hand catalyzes further pain in the victimized limb, but the real elephant in the room is the large throbbing area of pain inside the beast's belly (on the left side). Again, The Terrible is brought to spit blood from his oral cavity, and quite frankly, he's getting sick of doing so. Fighting Vorion is a double-edged sword in itself, for the more pain and damage Rhyvox inflicts, the more anger accumulates, which gives the ogre strength. For now, Rhyvox decides to cross that bridge when he comes to it, and ends the turn by bringing his sentient hand down upon the base of Vorion's neck, on the left side, in a karate chopping fashion...

Vorion went tumbling sideways from the blow. His back to the next block of oddly shaped buildings, he began to slowly push himself free.
But not before Rhyvox had come down at him again with the spiked fist. The result sent him down, and some of the spines breaking from the armored back, but it didn't stop Rhyvox from throwing his fist down again. When Rhyvox came a third time, Vorion shot up to his feet with a loud bellow. His claw came up and the nails cut deep from the base of the neck and up to the Parrakappa's face, drawing blood. A trio of claw marks bleed like rivers from the monster, spilling onto the street. Painful as it was, Rhyvox recoiled backwards and was trying to hold his throat from bleeding out.
The Terrible Vorion lowered and charged, ramming his armored shoulder plate straight into his gut. Vorion did not stop there. He kept charging, pushing his enemy back; through buildings and anything else in the way. After several very long seconds, Vorion reared up, letting the momentum transfer perfectly to Rhyvox and sending him flying onto his back and into more buildings.
He tried getting up, but here came Vorion, jumping up into the air and bringing his elbow so perfectly down on Rhyvox's gut that stomach acid and anything he ate geyser up out of his mouth and all over his face. What a mess... Was Vorion done yet? Hell no!
Even with Rhyvox having a bloody mark on his stomach, Vorion backed up and leaped up, this time bringing his hard hoof feet down with all the weight behind it.

Rhyvox tightens the dense muscles in his chest for foresight of the cerulean ogre's impending blitz. 60,000 tons reigns down on Rhyvox's torso. Rhyvox's Herculean build plays a relevant role in how much damage Vorion's attack deals. The blow is absorbed, for lack of a better role, and the hurt is minimal. No bruise(s) formulate, either. Rhyvox harmlessly kicks Ogresaurus off of his person, and the brute brat lands on his hind quarters about 60 meters away, putting him in the right quadrant of the city.
The Parakappa's chimeric brawler approaches Vorion. He removes one of the 150 meter tall spires from its base within a cluster of 5 to bring along during approaching the to-his-feet ogre. Rhyvix lifts his arm overhead, the structure's point facing downwards. Specimen 909 jams it into the right breast's penetration, accelerating blood flow by moving the object's point around inside of the injury. Rhyvox then pulls it away in order to complete his primary attack. The bat-like apparatus is used just like that; it is swung hard to collide with the right flank of Vorion's head. The force of the swing breaks apart the weapon, leaving dust and debris articles to cling to armored skin. The blow merely softens the armor slightly, but Vorion is left to shake slight sluggishness from his mind. Next, Rhyvox swings Stormweaver into action. The bladed tool starts by harnessing an electrical charge, followed by launching bolts of power that stream around another. In appearance, it is a coalescence of royal purple and royal blue. Vorion expects to shrug it off, being a conductor of the element, but its alien properties make it effective. Muscles tighten and the body's temperature rises as the shock transfers throughout the body. The kaiju's armored spots crackle and sizzle, in addition. Vorion the Terrible cannot hold back a pain-influenced roar as his body undergoes electrocution.
Rhyvox keeps the assault active for five more seconds, then decides his opponent has had enough. The conductive blade disengages and flips back to a dormant position. Steam ascends from parts of the body, particularly the wounds of the right knee, the right breast, and lastly, the left knee. The vicinity around them is particularly cooked, reduced to an ashy, hard and grainy residue. Rhyvox continues attacking with his missiles this time. The ordinances snake through the air, two sets of 9 crashing into the stomach of The Terrible, sending him flying back 30 meters before causing a quake with his impact. The 60,000 ton kaiju leaves an imprint of his body chiseled into the concrete street; while he's on his back, he mentally combats the pain originating in the point of impact against the stomach. The stomach's natural hard, protective layer is fractured from the explosive blitzkrieg. Vorion feels each individual pulse of soreness under the protective layer. Rhyvox beats his brute fist and left arm against his chest, just like a gorilla, grunting victoriously. Before Vorion gets up, Rhyvox jumps into the air, soaring towards Vorion and a moment away from elbow dropping Vorion in the now-sensitive area on the stomach with the blunt left arm's elbow, the superior 84,000-85,000 tons focused on transferring against The Terrible's gut from the elbow...

Like green arrows, a trio of Aurora beams knocked the hybrid from the sky just before impact. Its pained howls rised above the hum of the generators. The alien brute landed at Vorion's feet smoking and dotted by emerald flames.
"UNFAIR COMBAT TACTICS DETECTED BY COMBATANT RHYVOX! DO NOT DO IT AGAIN!"
(Too many attacks, 'Wave. A sixty-meter kick is hardly harmless, and the stab-and-bat doesn't really work as a combo.)

If I can clarify to help, the kick was just pushing him off. It wasn't a "hard" kick, just a shove with the legs, to which he was supposed to land a short distance away. In my mind I thought 60 meters was short [enough], but from the looks of it, it isn't/wasn't? I guess 60 was an inaccurate guesstimate but I wasn't trying to kick him hard or kick him far away back, cus I know if I were to kick him back a far distance, it would do damage enough to count as an attack. And I know/knew Vorion's hard back armor would absorb/negate any harm the short landing might do, if anything would be done. That the zero-[harmless] force kick + Vorion's hard armored back would make it no damage, because of the lack of force delivered plus that hard armor to protect from anything, if that helps/matters towards how much referee punishment I'm dealt. :/ but you got me on the stab-and-bat. I thought it'd work as combo attack (this is how i figure combo attacks- IR said you can't do a combo attack combining the "special" attacks (which are attacks listed in a monster's profile under the attacks section), so I thought/assumed that anything else, like a pair of...actions?...ill go with that for lack of a better word. a pair of "actions" that didnt involve specialty attacks, worked as combos), but if you say it doesn't work, it doesn't work. *actually, just asked IR, and it indeed is not a combo attack.*
