I know that. I was referring to this:
My point with bringing up Armageddon was that he often rips his opponents up with his claws in his combos. Thus, why didn't you ever mention it in the fights you oversaw with him doing that? Yet SW got called out for doing something similar.
And you've overseen battles with Armageddon in them, so don't say you've never seen them before.

If I may, a single punch does have the capacity to be pretty deadly without incredible body strength. There are several factors that go into a damaging punch. Strength is not always needed. Say, for example, Talizan throws a punch. As he punches, he turns his whole body into the blow. He muscles are relaxed. His wrist is locked. His arm is kept close to his body, and as he punches, his fist rotates as it strikes the target. Given his body stance, the rotation of the fist, and the fact that he turned his whole body into the blow, that punch becomes pretty powerful, something that could break a rib or completely knock the wind out of an opponent if preformed correctly. Just some random example I'm sharing from my martial arts training. The point is, a single punch CAN be pretty devastating. It just requires detail and/or research. There's a reason I make a point to say basic melee attacks are okay for combos. Powerful, but still non-special, melee attacks shouldn't be used for combos. A basic kick is fine in a combo. A running dropkick that sends the opponent flying 300 meters through the air is not. Devastating punches performed by trained experts fall under that, and as such could not be used in combos. EDIT: My point with bringing up Armageddon was that he often rips his opponents up with his claws in his combos. Thus, why didn't you ever mention it in the fights you oversaw with him doing that? Yet SW got called out for doing something similar. And you've overseen battles with Armageddon in them, so don't say you've never seen them before. Again, I don't see what you're getting at here. If the end result of the entire combo leaves the target significantly bloodied, that's fine. The issue comes up when the individual blows that make up the combo inflict substantial injuries. Armageddon doesn't have large claws. Thus the damage he could realistically inflict with them with each slash isn't all that much. Compare that with, say, Suchodon, where pretty much every blow from his claws leaves massive wounds.

In regards to giving out warnings for infractions, I'm just going to outright say no. That just makes things unneccesarily complicated. I'd rather just universally punish infractions and be done with it. And besides that, as I've explained before, it's to keep the feel that the battles are actually happening. The ref asking someone to edit their post completely destroys that. Can ask OOC to fix it.

And it's not like a "standard attack" has a set number of HP damage that it deals or something. A "standard attack" can range from mockingly tossing a small rock at your opponent to annoy them all the way up to firing a powerful energy beam straight down their throat. Probably because attacks are commonly thought of in 3 categories: weak/light, normal, and powerful. It's in the name you mentioned as an example: powerful energy beam. It's not really common to think of a powerful energy beam as standard o.O

...It doesn't matter how it's asked. It breaks the flow of the match. The fact that there's already a "three strikes and you're out" policy in regards to punishments from the refs means that players get plenty of warning as it is. Going even further would just render the system pointless. Already been through this with you once earlier this year, SW. It's not gonna change. Period. Deal with it and move on. Probably because attacks are commonly thought of in 3 categories: weak/light, normal, and powerful. It's in the name you mentioned as an example: powerful energy beam. It's not really common to think of a powerful energy beam as standard o.O NSG's Corona beam is powerful. Darktide's Hyper NOVA beam is powerful. Fenris' Hellfire beam is powerful. The aforementioned Yamatano's triple-beam is powerful. All are standard attacks. "Standard attack" = an attack that you can do at any time and as often as you want without punishment (assuming you don't go over the 3 connecting attacks rule, of course). Pretty much anything that's not strong enough to be limited is a standard attack.

Point being, it never mattered before if combo moves were bloody or not. Why should it matter now?
I don't see the big deal with "interrupting the flow of battle" (it's interrupted all the time anyways because people take time to reply), so I don't see the problem in telling someone to edit their post. You, what, do trial and error about things you don't know and end up being DQ'd because you couldn't know you were doing something wrong? What should we do then? "Deal with it and move on?"

Point being, it never mattered before if combo moves were bloody or not. Why should it matter now? For the third time now... If the end result of the entire combo leaves the target significantly bloodied, that's fine. The issue comes up when the individual blows that make up the combo inflict substantial injuries. It's always been that way. Nothing has changed. It's not like the rules for combos suddenly got stricter or something. Why you guys are flipping out over it now is beyond me. Not what I meant. It's about the illusion that these fights are real events. Being punished for breaking the rules is part of that. If a professional wrestler or UFC fighter breaks the rules, they don't get to rewind time and change their actions. They get punished. And even if you don't agree with that, my point stands regarding the three strikes and you're out policy that's already in place. If someone screws up three times in a single match, they've quite thoroughly earned their DQ. Making the system even more lenient than that is just silly. That's never been an issue before. Why would it be now? Because, again, nothing has changed. And if you want to try something new but aren't sure if it's legal, why not just, y'know, ask the ref via PM before posting? It's not uncommon at all for people to ask me about attacks. I'm pretty sure you yourself have done it, in fact.

For the third time now... It's always been that way. Nothing has changed. Then why didn't you do anything when you saw us breaking those rules? During all that time? Yes, because there was nothing in the rules that stated combos couldn't be bloody (the moves in it, that is). And it was perfectly fine that way. Because that "new" rule/the recent clarification is plain illogical. And I sure as hell ain't the only one who thinks that. You do realize that Ak didn't get punished for doing a blatant mistake in his recent fight while SW got punished for doing an error anyone would've made, right? For what kind of BS reason? "He only had two attacks". That's like saying "He broke your arm, but that was his only attack, so I won't mind." That's unfair. We wouldn't be growling about it if it wasn't. Again, what about people who are sure that what they're doing is correct, like SW?

Then why didn't you do anything when you saw us breaking those rules? During all that time? Except you didn't break the rules. Certainly not during any matches I've overseen. Now, I do remember you having a major issue with making illegal combos during one of your early matches, but I wasn't reffing that one and I DID still get on you about it after the match ended. That match had far bigger issues going on anyway, from what I recall. It shouldn't have to. A basic punch or the like isn't going to cause geysers of blood or other significant injury. That's common sense. Except it's really not, and I've already explained why. You seem to be the only one having difficulty grasping it at this point. ...He DID get punished. No, you're bitching just to bitch at this point. That has NEVER ONCE been a problem in the nearly two years this site has been running. Then they'd still have to screw up two more times to get DQed. And I'm pretty sure that no one halfway competant has ever gotten DQed for breaking the rules 3 times in a single match, except when they did it intentionally.

Yeah... This isn't the first RPG that we've been to that's featured the same exact combo system... There's nothing wrong with it.

I addressed every single point you brought up. If you still think I missed them, then please list them off again. Because I really do want this shit cleared up once and for all, for all parties involved.
