Quetzar was first to appear on the scene, his emerald body cutting through the mist like a gem-embedded saw as he was ushered forth by a brilliant flash, an archangel spewed from the Pearly Gates. The fiery kaiju had to quickly curl around a grand tree, its bare branches rattling hollowly as his scales barely scraped past without tearing the hero from the sky.
Turning his slender snout upwards, into a steep climb, the snake-like giant rose high above the treeline and circled in the sky, his form casting a long black shadow on the swampland below. A few sparks from his jaws lit the dim air up, allowing him to see further into the steamy marsh atmosphere.
Whistling shrilly to himself, the Sun Warrior waited, curiously as to which would appear first- his ally or his enemies?

Then came the second light... and of Quetzar thought this was gonna be some normal enemy... he had another thing coming. Out of the light stepped the red, devilish figure with fire-yellow eyes, attaining a pleased smile. Too pleased... that was the smile of The Cat eating The Canary and it made Quetzar flinch uncomfortable. "Well, well... What do we got here, " The devilish entity quietly chimed as he stared at the green guardian.

(OCC: Sorry. Didn't realize the intros had started.)
_____________________________________
A third beam of light appeared beside the demonic creature. A mass of ruby-like scales and sharp spines slipped from the teleportation beam, landing on the wet surface of the swamp. Talizan's shining eyes instantly spotted Quetzar. He quickly recognizing the winged serpent from the second round of the Tag Team Championship. Talizan had managed to finish that particular match without attacking Quetzar, a fellow guardian, and one of practically the same element as he. Now it seemed they were to meet on opposing teams once more.
When Talizan noticed his "ally" standing next to him, that's when the dragon realized that something was really, very wrong. Why was his partner a demon, and his opponent a guardian? There had to be some sort of mistake or misunderstanding!

At last came the last arrival to this titanic team match. Splitting the sky with massive wings as he descended, Ramcheck arrived! The cleanliness-obsessed extraterrestrial, bat-like entity shrieked as it looked at the forces gathered. He landed next to Quetzar and folded his wings to his side. “So these are the vermin pitted against us? Pathetic.” He spat, glaring at Talizan especially.
Quetzar looked at the white bat. “Talizan isn’t one of them.”
Mr. Clean tilted his head and never took his eyes from Talizan’s. “Still reeks of disgust!” He thrust his wings outward, “I SHALL CLEANSE IT!”

Although he was somewhat confused by his bat-like friend's quick and fiery response, Quetzar allowed his readiness for battle overcome his worry. The battlefield was no place to lose grip on focus. Especially, considered the serpent with a hard stare at the hoofed fey that stood ankle-deep in muck and grim, when faced with a figure so sinister. The red devil simply radiated sin, and his wide grin and cruel eyes did not deny it. He was a being of wicked intent and not abashed about it- one of the worst kinds that could be found in the universe, the solar flier believed. At least the corrupt and greedy could hide their fouls acts from the sanctity of the sun's rays. This one had no such decency. He bathed his darkness in the light, immersing himself in the day with no regret. It was an insult to Quetzar, the herald of the sun, to have the great bright orb view such filth. Whatever he thought of the dragon guardian, his partner was clearly not a friend.
Locking his warm emerald eyes onto Appolyon's hard yellow slits, the Sun Warrior called out with his noble mind. First to Talizan. I mean no offense, hero. My flames are not destined for you.
The demon snickered as his partner was addressed, a clawed hand flying to his mouth and his eyes narrowing. The emerald head of Quetzar cocked. I cannot promise the same for your companion though. He reeks of evil. So... A fast glace at his own partner. We must cleanse him.
A sneering gargoyle high in the sky, Quetzr let his jaw drop open and bellowed out flames like rainwater!
The crimson curtain washed down like water, its blinding tongues cutting through the trees and mist to embrace Appolyon with its searing touch. The devil was pushed back, his hooves sloshing through the marsh. Although the solar fire hugged him like Death's cloak, the demon did not smoke or sizzle. He only laughed. It was the high, shrieking laugh of a carrion bird, filled with blood and malice. "Is that all?" choked the devil between cackles. "It barely tickles! All you're doing is warming me up. Good thing too, it was getting a bit nippy down here."
The giggling demon turned and cast a grin up at Quetzar. "Be sure to heat up the backside as well, these buns are what wins the ladies and I want 'em toasted!"
Flickering eyes shrinking into cold embers, Quetzar adjusted his internal furnace. He had been conserving heat before, but obviously this was a foe that called for zero limitations! The orange-red fire blazed brighter, attaining a hue like the sun's, a rich gold that glittered in the muggy sky. Appolyon's laugh leapt up to a squeal, the cloven-hoofed thing bouncing up with a yelp. He could withstand great heat for short periods, but only complete resistance could protect from the full fury of the great stars above! Fire and smoke spilling from between his charred cheeks, the tall-eared demon bolted, trying to remove his bottom from the flames. He was successful, but only revealed that his back half had been scorched black, something the devil had not experienced in a long while.
Pained cries slipping back into laughter, Appolyon waved a hand merrily through the smoke curling from his bum. "I knew I was smoking, but this is ri- GOTCHA!"
Quick as a snake, the sinister fey whipped around, facing Quetzar as he dove from the sky like a living arrow. The chain around one wrist extending with a burst of flames, the devil lashed the hero across the face, painting a line of red across his emerald snout. With a whistle of shock, the Sun Warrior withdrew his slender muzzle, but a thick coil thrust forward to replace it. Like a rounded battering ram, the coil slammed Appolyon's in the face. His smirking muzzle was caved in by a monstrous blow- the brutal force of 30,000 tons at speed, focused solely on his nose. A wet crunch! rang out, and the giggling devil toppled backwards. He slapped down hard into the went gruel of the swamp, a high spurt of blood arcing from his smashed snout. Swiftly following up the blow, the Sun Warrior brought his wings together and generated a shock wave of boggy air. A crimson ring encircled Appolyon's nose, further damage hammered into the mangled feature, and the demon was pushed into the marsh as if weights had been attached to him.
As the fey's eartips vanished into the muck, Quetzar spat down more sun flames, raking the swamp with them. The marsh bubbled and churned in response, its still waters excited by the great heat. Only his hottest flames had hurt the devil, but perhaps boiling water from all sides could do the trick as well...

Bubbling under the surface of the water, Appolyon grumbled a bit from the heat starting to get to him... But if he didn't have skin, now~
His form faded, becoming ghostly and faded until he turned into a misty cloud that slowly seeped from the water surface and into the air like a nasty swamp gas. Quetzar didn't seem to quite notice what was going on, completely oblivious to the wisps of red tinged smoke forming around him. It wasn't until he felt the demonic hand around his throat did Quetzar realize that Appolyon was upon him. "WHAT IS THIS!?" Tag, YOUR IT! Appolyon shouted aloud as one hand was around the serpents neck, the other arm coming around and grasping the guardians jaws shut tight. The rest of his body reformed, legs clenching around the body of Quetzar and letting his full weight come down from weightless mist to full blown devil. Quetzar couldn't stay up with this added weight and predictably began falling like a rock. Appolyon cared not how they landed, but hit the mucky swamp shoulder first, efficiently leaving a muddy crater as water and plants were pushed aside.
Appolyon stayed on him too, even as Quetzar got up and immediatly began to thrash, that fey stuck like glue. The emerald monster rolled and jerked around like an alligator trying to throw a wrestler, but in the chaos, Appolyon just howled and hollered like a kid in a candy shop. To him, this... was fun. Just as Quetzar spread his wings to attempt to take off, Appolyon reared his head back and brought it back down, slamming his forehead down atop Quetzar's with a nice loud crack! Quetzar faltered and fell back down, dizzied by the blow.
With his opponent temporarily disoriented, Appolyon released his hold and got off. "There, all relaxed now... Reaching out, Appolyon grasped an exceptionally large log and lifted it high, ready to bring it down and bash in Quetzar's brains...

(OOC: Again, sorry for this wait also… What I get for having too much on my plate at once. I also wanted to think of some ways to expand his personality besides being obsessed with cleanliness.)
Just before the rock could be pummeled across Quetzar’s visage, the voice of a true gentleman rang out. “Excuse me!’ The voice declared, almost in a Southerly accent. The rock hoisted above his demonic form suddenly dropped with dead weight, breaking on the mud of the swamps. Behind him, stabbed into his back, was Ramcheck’s trident! The weapon lashed out like a scorpion’s stinger, pushing deeper into his crimson flesh. The demon staggered forward, arms reaching back but unable to reach the trident that poked his form.
“You insignificant little bastard flying worm!”
When the trident tore out, Appolyon’s body arched. The demon spun around on one leg, using his hoofed foot to bash Mr. Clean’s face! The bat-like entity staggered to the side, quickly bringing up his winged hand to brush the dirt and sludge off. “Terribly unsanitary!”
Immediately afterward, a white mist drifted from his wings and chest. The mist rolled across the water like morning fog, but once it lifted up and touched Appolyon, the fiend screamed in both rage and pain. The mist made his new wounds burn like a fire he had never experienced. The ogre bellowed greatly, falling to a knee once he breathed in the alcohol-scented mist. He began to gag and eyes began to swell, the disinfectants not only cleaning the wound, but also his cells! The mist washed up across Ramcheck’s face, making the bat spread his wings and relish. “That’s better!”
He flapped his majestic wings and took to the air, cackling loudly as Appolyon whined in his mist. The alien being swooped down, bearing his talons as he landed before Talizan. The dragon had no time to react before Mr. Clean’s entire body surged with holy fury. Like a dying star’s last grasp of life, an explosion of golden light shot out from Ramcheck! Talizan was blinded, squealing in rage at such a cheap tactic. As the space monster took several steps back, the bat’s trident-tipped tail lifted and shot downward…

Talon tipped fingers burst from the glare of Ramcheck's light, curling around the base of the bat creature's trident! A second hand grabbed the long tail as the first re-directed the weapon away from the dragon's body. With a swift tug, Talizan swung the attacking monster around and into the trunk of a giant tree. The bark splintered as the white extraterrestrial slammed into the column of wood, gasping as flecks of soapy blood splattered from his jaws. Talizan released his grip on the cleanliness-obsessed entity. Using light to blind a creature of the sun? A creature who's very eyes shone with light? The dragon shook his head.
Talizan's hesitation was enough for Ramcheck to get in another attack. Heavenly lightning surged from the three tips of his trident, striking Talizan across the face. Explosions rocked the dragon, and though the kaiju stumbled back, hurt by the attack, the burning blue flames left afterwards were simply absorbed by the guardian. Ramcheck took flight as his opponent recovered, circling about to unleash another attack. Heavenly lightning burst from the trident, but Talizan was prepared this time. The nimble dragon dodged the lighting-like blast of energy, diving into deeper waters of the swamp as the three beams shot past their intended target and struck Quetzar, raking across his wings. This caused Appolyon to enter another laughing fit, chuckling madly as Quetzar yelped in surprise. Talizan spared the serpentine guardian an apologetic growl, before returning to the task at hand.
Unsettled by his previous dive, previously trapped methane was slowly rising from the waters, unnoticed by the battling kaiju. Fiery energy gathered in Talizan's jaws as Ramcheck charged the dragon. A solar flare erupted from the guardian's jaws and struck the bat-like entity.
A massive explosion tore through the swamp, powered by the methane gas. Ramcheck was flung across the swamp like a rag doll, having the unfortunate luck at being in the blast's epicenter. Talizan fared better than his opponent, merely being knocked backwards by the blast and absorbing the heat and fire that came into contact with his skin. As the roar of fiery energy died down, Talizan gazed upon his scorched opponent. Ramcheck's entire front side was burnt, though most of the burns weren't severe. However, his chest was charred black, encrusted with charcoal, and sections of his wings were torn by the explosion's force. The solar dragon gazed in wonder around the swamp. Talizan was no chemist. He didn't know about methane gas, or even that it existed in the swamp. What he did know is that this environment could prove useful, if not deadly...
Deciding to experiment, Talizan unleashed a second solar flare towards Ramcheck, wondering if the second explosion would be as large as the first....

Fate would not allow the solar dragon to scorch the pristine hide of Ramcheck again, because not only had the first explosion consumed most of the methane, but a blurred emerald shape dove in between the sun flare and the bat at the last moment. The swamp gas caught, and a brilliant ball of fire- far smaller than its predecessor- formed in midair. A golden sash of scales and feathers became visible through the flames as their glow waned and the wavering serpent's waxed. Absorbing the heat of the blast and using it to charge his internal furnace, Quetzar turned his head to the side and unleashed a fluid star from his jaws. The wash of molten air swept down in a blinding wave, the marsh steaming under its warmth and rows of trees slashed in half by its hunger. Appolyon sprung into the air with a long, draw out howl as the flames caught up to him. Smoke and ash trailed behind him as he arced through the air, his fur falling away as soot and his crisped flesh flaking from muscle like black snow. The demon splashed back down, but it was not into the marsh. He landed in a sea of fire instead! The sheet of flames had only swept underneath him as he leaped! The demon hollered greatly as he was scalded by the intense blaze for a few more second, then the big red fey finally realized he was standing in a swamp and dove down, burying himself beneath the murky water and black mud.
Quetzar snapped his jaws shut, shot Talizan a lidded look that told him they were now even, and hurled himself after his chosen foe.
Curling into a broad loop, the Sun Warrior clamped down on his plumed tail and struck the marsh with a spray of water and blood. The floppy ears and screaming jaws of Appolyon reared from the swamp! The spinning serpent had cleaved into his back! Skidding across the dark surface of the marsh, Quetzar dragged Appolyon with him, the devil skewered shallowly on his curved spines. Pressed against the feathered serpent's back like a medieval torture rack, the cloven-hooved thing yelled in broken slurs. He could not get out any complete curse or snarl because Quetzar's rolling body kept slamming him down into the swamp, then pulling him back out covered in slime and filth. It was if the hero was a living water wheel and Appolyon was a hapless soul tied to it! Constantly smashed into either the muddy marsh or the winged one's ruby spines, Appolyon decided he had just about enough and kicked out with his hooves. The broad boney toes slammed against two tree trunks, and the demon straightened his legs with all his might behind them. The ring of Quetzar's body was broken and the gleaming guardian collapsed into a piled heap, the demented fairy sprawled atop him. Snickering and snorting like an overgrown child, Appolyon hopped to his feet and whirled around. With a crowing laugh, the red-skinned devil slammed a hoof down on Quetzar's skull!
The serpent launched wild coils all about as a wail burst from his jaws. A hard red line now split his skull, and flowing blood dirtied his gem-like scales in warm rivers. Appolyon tried to clobber the hero again, but he pushed his snake-like body forward and bit into the fey's ankle. Quetzar's long canines pierced the flesh of the devil and dragged up as the hero rose on pumping wings. Appolyon squealed as his skin was peeled off in two ragged strips, his leg craved like a turkey until the fangs reached the joint of his knee and caught in the connective tissue there. Gaping as his suffering flared into a white-hot flash of agony, the demon was lifted up, into the air, out of the mist, above the tree line, almost to the clouds. Slowing to a hover as his crimson spines touched the heavens, Quetzar narrowed his eyes as the limp form of Appolyon, straightened the corners of his mouth, and let go, allowing the demon to plunge down like a burning meteor towards the jagged trees and shallow waters below...
